Negative experience: had a 5 star for this place, but some employee clearly was having a bad day and wants to argue over me trying to buy something. amazed this place is still open.

Fantastic experience: Super friendly folks and their online inventory was correct. Send them some bags.

Negative experience: Bad review trying to lowball me on my pokemon cards unbelievable

Drew F Posted on Google 4 months ago

Negative experience: I have been a customer for nearly two decades, and I have never been treated with such hostility. On Jan 24 at 1:23 PM, I called to request appropriate complaint channels regarding policy inconsistencies. Instead of assistance, a male employee refused to identify himself, argued that I had 'no basis' to call, told me 'that's not how society works,' and explicitly called me a 'moron' before hanging up. This is not customer service; it is verbal abuse. Zero accountability, zero professionalism.

Negative experience: Bought some used games from the Lloyd Center GameStop a few weeks ago. While checking out, asked me for to a member of their rewards program, I politely declined. But he was pretty damn pushy. Straight up told him NO after the second time. Rang me up, I see the total, more than I expected it to be. Didn’t think anything of it because there was a long line behind me. Got home, looked at the receipt, I was charge some BS “return fee, if the game stops working you get to return it?” It was like 5-10 per game, I bought 3 games. Total BS, unprofessional without asking me. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS GAMESTOP. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Please beware of this scam.

Negative experience: Absolutely atrocious service. I call them before I go in to ask for details regarding a trade in, as I haven’t been to a GameStop in years. They tell me “just bring your switch, we take it even if it’s damaged”. Cool. Great. I bring my switch in, drive all the way to their location, only for the guy who clearly doesn’t know what deodorant is (who is also the man I spoke to on the phone) to tell me that I needed the charger or there was no trade. Okay, that would’ve been nice to know on the phone but fine. Makes sense I guess. I drive all the way home, then drive all the way back only for him to tell me I needed a full battery or no trade. All of this would have been fantastic information to give me on the phone when I told him I was specifically calling because I wanted all of the details because I haven’t been here since 2012. GameStop, teach your employees some customer service skills. And while you’re at it, give them a raise so they can afford some soap. Thanks for reminding me why I haven’t been to GameStop in 13 years.

Fantastic experience: I had a couple bad experiences with this store several years ago, however gave them another chance the new staff here seem great. They were friendly on the phone, and was able to go in and get the pokemon promo.

Fantastic experience: Great visit at GameStop! The lady who helped me was super nice and really knowledgeable. She went out of her way to answer my questions and even shared a bit about her own collection, which made the experience fun and personal. It’s always nice when staff are not only helpful but also passionate about what they do. I’ll definitely be coming back to this location.

Negative experience: Came to this location to check it out, says it was open but when I got there, gates were closed, but lights are on and there was a employee there on their with headphones just doing nothing so don’t know what’s happening.

Alice Jones Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: The manager girl with the glasses was so rude and awkward. I think I overheard her name was Abby or something? She should not work there! She did not have a clue what was going on, the store was a mess, I couldn't find a single thing I was looking for, and neither could she! I don't ever leave reviews, but I cannot believe someone so oblivious could be a manager. I will not be back!

Nathan Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: Socially awkward girl with glasses should not be in a customer service job. Incoherent waste of people's time.

Jason Jennings Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: Small selection, cramped store, either unknowledgable or just completely disregarding employees. Only reason I MIGHT go back would be due to convenience of shopping in the mall already. When asking about Steam gift cards was told they couldn't provide the physical cards even though they were right there at the register right beneath where the employee was standing telling me they didn't have them.

D N Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: I arrived at this location for black friday? Assuming there deals would be awesome. Absolutely not the case. No specials on anything besides nintendo switch games buy 2 get 3rd free and Ps4 games buy 2 get 3rd free as well. Also , graphic tees wear on sale 10$ usd dollars.

CLS STR Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: EDIT: New staff seems much more pleasant, review updated to positive. They got the hardware you probably want in stock and faithfully fulfill their purchase insurance policy, but I don't think I want to buy video games from a store run by someone who's an unironic fan of current-day Bioware in 2024 A.D. It does not speak well of their qualifications or their taste in video games. Just buy your stuff off of Amazon.

Ryan Jobson Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: Bought a PS5 Pro online, called next morning to confirm, Ivy put me on hold for 13 minutes and forgot about me. Called back to confirm my purchase, all good. Drive to store to find out Zabrina canceled my already purchased product and sold it to someone else. Zabrina lied and said it was Gamestop policy to sell them to people in store first. Got the managers name and a card with store info. Called the manager Tabbitha a couple days later and explained the situation, Tabbitha stated "I'm not sure what you want me to do about it...thers nothing I can do". Tabbitha states Zabrina told her that I canceled my order, so Zabrina lied to me and their manager Tabbitha. Tabbitha didnt express regret or sorry and instead insinuated I'm lying. I've never had a worse customer experience in my life. Be reminded that I was a customer who had ALREADY PAID. Shameful, no accountability and then to lie about it, damn.

Michaela Smith Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: This GameStop has some issues when it comes to fairness. If you're a decent person just go to the Loyd center location.

Denis Sukhoterin Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: I called in for a controller issue and Andrew knew exactly what I was talking about, and even though GameStop couldn't help me, he guided me to someone that could! A+ service Andrew!

ayden huerta Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: To the lady named Victoria, thank you for helping me decide to never come to this store again. This mall is becoming a ghost town and I can see why. Her attitude towards me gave me the assurance I won’t be here again. All I wanted to do was return an Ethernet cable. Nonetheless I couldn’t because it was opened. I purchased this cord 3 days ago. Turns out it was a bad cord. Next option was just to swap it for another one. I got called a liar and was disrespected by Victoria. Was told no I can’t simply exchange the cord for another one. Thanks Victoria!

Chris Palmer Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: I had to explain five times that I did not want to give them my email address. And saying "I'll type in whatever you want me to" didn't help. I'm going to stick to Amazon.

nard Posted on Google 1 year ago

Positive experience: fairly small selection but it's a fairly small store so it makes sense, the woman who helped me was very nice and understanding

Logan Hlavacka Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Great place to buy used games and merch related to games and Funko pops

Derald Hanson Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Buy Anime video games on Nintendo or Xbox or PlayStation good game store

Michael K Posted on Google 2 years ago

Positive experience: It's basic-- People leave crazy reviews, 500+ reviews, and y'all still love coming here. I get it. I ❤️ games, but gaming companies suck!

Noelle Patterson Posted on Google 2 years ago

Negative experience: Came in to buy an oled switch for my birthday, I placed an online order and had everything purchased and ready to go. When checking out the cashier would not take no for an answer when asking me to sign up for gamestop plus rewards whatever it is. I didnt want it, and she almost made me feel bad for NOT signing up for it. It was too pushy and I know shes doing her job but asking me to call Gamestop customer service after purchasing their rewards program to ask them for a refund on a part of my order (which the money i would have recieved in the order was not enough to cover the cost of the rewards program). Just not a very good experience and maybe Gamestop should stop making their employees feel like they have to push this on customers so much. Its not making me come back by any means. Epic switch tho

Cindy Lou Wilson Posted on Google 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: Always a great place for your gaming needs.

Thumper Volvo (Limo) Posted on Google 2 years ago

Negative experience: The two girls with glasses the one skinny and the bigger one super rude people and made the whole experience super awkward

Tony H Posted on Google 2 years ago

Positive experience: Gamestop is a great place to get all of your Video games and consoles. As well as different types of merchandise from your favorite video games anime and cartoons. The atmosphere was great in the store, and the Employee who was working that day was mostly on the phone helping customers. I believe you can pre-order games and things at This shop. This place is located on the second floor of the Lloyd Center Shopping Mall.

rod mason Posted on Google 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: Amazing. Lots of great stuff. Knowledgeable staff.

Bryan Hudnall Posted on Google 2 years ago

Negative experience: I pre-ordered, and payrf up front 2 games from them and was shocked by how rude they are. I will never ever buy GameStop again. I highly suggest anybody go to Best buy or Walmart if you want to purchase gaming anything.

Elliot Keitges Posted on Google 2 years ago

Negative experience: I came in to buy a ps5 slim and MW3 game. The prices were decent since I got everything for only 525.00 because of a couple in store promotion s going on. The part I had serious concern about: THE EMPLOYEE WOULD NOT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER WHEN I SAID I DIDNT WANT TO SIGN UP TO BECOME A MEMBER. SHE MUST OF KEPT TRYING TO SELL ME THE MEMBERSHIP A TOTAL OF 5 TIMES. THIS WAS SERIOUSLY NOT OKAY AND WAS ACTUALLY GETTING QUITE IRRITATING. I UNDERSTAND COMISSION AND ALL THAT, BUT IF A CUSTOMER SAYS NO... IT MEANS NO!!!

Kelli B Posted on Google 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: Really lovely customer service. Associate was super informative and answered all of my questions.

David Miller Posted on Google 2 years ago

Rachel Nesti Posted on Google 2 years ago

Negative experience: awful customer service.

William Allen Posted on Google 2 years ago

Negative experience: The lady at the desk needs to learn to take no for an answer made buying very awkward because she was so pushy about memberships and warranties.

Wheates14 Posted on Google 2 years ago

Negative experience: Stopped shopping at GameStop because every time id go in this store the employees were obviously stressed and tired which reflects in the company. But I did try to buy something for the first time in years 2 weeks ago and the employee which I 5hink might even have been manager was so actively hostile immediately I was actually shocked lol not to clutch my pearls but this person is a detriment to themselves.

P. Sing Posted on Google 2 years ago

Negative experience: I came here to sell my switch lite thinking I would at least $60 or so, they offered me $21, I thought that was ridiculous but I sold it on Facebook marketplace for $80

Isaac Shoff Posted on Google 2 years ago

Positive experience: Nothing horrible but nothing exceptional just a place to get a game.

Richelle Peterson Posted on Google 2 years ago

Positive experience: I've been to other "GameStop" locations&they were ALL better get this one! The store size is tiny, the workers don't seem 2 have the knowledge one would expect them to&it was crowded w/customers that no one was speaking to! Even just 2 say:"I'll b w/u in a moment."

Benjamin Bates Posted on Google 2 years ago

Positive experience: Small store, but really nice folks running it!

rinvry Posted on Google 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: idk i don't remember going

James M Posted on Google 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff and great selection of products. Lots of accessories, cool third-party video game controllers, computer gaming accessories and collectibles as well as both new and used games and new and used video game consoles. Parking was fairly easy in the parking garage and it was a quick walk through the mall to get here. We'd have no issues coming here again, great selection and friendly staff.

Shandrae Jackson Posted on Google 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: Easy to get the games I needed for my consoles.

Harold Turner Posted on Google 3 years ago

Negative experience: I feel GameStop gets over on people me and my friend went there a week ago and bought a $80 game. I told him GameStop was not the place to go went back to trade the game in $25 trade-in. They’re getting over on people they just need to shut down.

Kirk Posted on Google 3 years ago

Negative experience: Bought a refurbished xbox and controller. Controller came not working. Support took 10 days to respond making it out of the 7 day return/swap window. (my support emails have never had a response, I had to blast them on twitter for any kind of reaction) My only option was to go to a store and see if they would swap it for a working one. I ordered a working controller, I do not have to do the legwork to get what I ordered. Horrible customer service, will not order from them ever again and would suggest others just use amazon or similar service instead of gamestop. You wont have to deal with their support that way. This was for an online order and it said 1 piece came from lloyd center and the other came from another location. Not sure much an issue with lloyd center but an issue with gamestop in general just not caring.

Cassie Posted on Google 3 years ago

Positive experience: Empty compared to other GameStops. Could use some updated inventory.

TJ Desmond Posted on Google 3 years ago

Negative experience: Zero stars. Literally, by far, the WORST GameStop (honestly, maybe the worst run business) I’ve ever been to. I live close to this location, but would much prefer to go longer distances just to avoid this place. Not only are they CONSTANTLY having days-long technical issues that prevent you from trading in games or paying with a credit card, but the manager I’ve dealt with the past 2 times I’ve been there has been incredibly rude, unhelpful, unprofessional, and disrespectful both to customers and her fellow employees.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly customer service loved to see a great store in a wonderful location in the mall

Larson Davis Posted on Google 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: Best employee, ever. I haven't been inside GME anywhere since before 2020, before wall street, before their radical change into what is now a debt-free , cash positive, revolutionary pioneer. GME is in position to take its time and figure out a solid pivot in their gameplan. Back to THIS STORE- Greatest employee ever, thoroughly educated on gamestops changed policies, pricing, and even a bit of direction for how to go about some future decisions- upgrading my switch to oles, a new console, or even pre-ordering tears of the kingdom 5 stars through and through- and 50% off clearance. Sheeeeiiittt

Mat Clune Posted on Google 3 years ago

Negative experience: I was told by Microsoft that GameStop could help test a power cord for my Xbox. I came into this location and they said that they can’t do that. So I left and I called the GameStop on Barnes road and they said they absolutely could test the cord for me. I called this location back and the girl, who claimed to be a manager, said they still can’t do it. So if you want help don’t waste your time going to this location because they obviously don’t care about their customers!!!! Just here to update, I stopped by this store and asked a question about how long a sale was. I was lied to. Just another reason I am keeping my star at 1 star.

GamingWithPie Posted on Google 4 years ago

Fantastic experience: Good staff that knew what they were doing. Just an FYI, the staff are obligated to offer warranties, memberships, replacement plans, and dlc. They get fired if they don't offer you those options during a transaction. Take it up with gamestop corporate, and leave the staff alone. They get minimum wage there.

D T J Posted on Google 4 years ago

Negative experience: Horrible experience.. first off the gentleman behind the counter threw a warranty on my sale which I didn’t ask for. Second I bought a used game but he ran in the back to grab a new one. After not liking the game I tried to return it, they wouldn’t even give me store credit. I recommend buying online or another store. I wish I had two more hands so I could give this store four thumbs down.

Micah Smith Posted on Google 4 years ago

Positive experience: Staff was friendly and helpful. Great selection of pre-owned switch games.

Patricia Burlandc Posted on Google 4 years ago

Clarice Forcier Posted on Google 4 years ago

Positive experience: Only 5 people allowed in at one time is great. But some people just don't understand that. But we got what we wanted.

Stephen Sanchez Posted on Google 4 years ago

Positive experience: They lie about when they are open. I came in wanting to sell my PS4, and waited an hour for them to "maybe" open for the day. It was a big bummer, but I like the store when it's open

Quinn Scott Posted on Google 4 years ago

Negative experience: Look, if you've ever been in a GameStop, this is one. It's horrible. It's also about to shut down due to the closing of the Lloyd Center, and let me just say, if you planned to swing by for old time's sake, see if you can snag a good deal from the bloated corpse of the company, it is a waste of time. The used games have been gutted, I imagine the worthwhile ones have already been moved to locations that will exist in the New Year. You want a nearly full price copy of a two year old racing game? Sure, stop by, listen to a jackass mansplain release dates to the long-suffering associate, then quickly get out and go get a bag of popcorn from the only good store in the entire mall.

C-Strand Productions LLC Posted on Google 4 years ago

Negative experience: Yawn .. I dunno why I don't and never really cared for this store.

jarred Nelson Posted on Google 4 years ago

Negative experience: Went in tried to buy an item they had for the wrong price, employee was rude and wouldn’t let me use a coupon I had just downloaded in store to use, I’ve been shopping at GameStop and have been a member since 2013. I will never go to GameStop again after today after this experience. I wish I could give a 0/5.

Aleera Shadow Posted on Google 4 years ago

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff and wide selection.

Jon York Posted on Google 4 years ago

Negative experience: I was very disappointed that the cashier that was taking my games in for trade in, marked almost every single one down for being scratched/damaged when they were all in mint to near mint condition. When I questioned him, he said it was due to them needing to be "serviced" to ensure they played properly. Also, the prices offered were lower than the prices I had been quoted using their online service. The only reason this isn't a 1 star review is unlike anywhere else I was actually able to get cash for them and not just in-store credit.

darren birch Posted on Google 4 years ago

Negative experience: One of the worst stores I've been in a long time the cashier was helping 1 customer for over 30 minutes and ignoring the other customers in line I've worked at several stores by myself so I know you ring up other customers and go back two the one you where helping before.

Michael Hjorth Posted on Google 4 years ago

Positive experience: Despite the graveyard ⚰️ that is Lloyd Center, this location of GameStop seems to be perpetually busy. Despite that, they do a really good job of moving people through the line in a timely manner. Somehow they manage to do this while still coming across as not only friendly but helpful as well. Also, I appreciate how their employees don't try to keep pushing unneeded warranties and whatnot upon me if I've already said no once (because seriously, who ACTUALLY needs a warranty for a 3ds game that is selling for $20???).

Cathy Ray-Shultz Posted on Google 4 years ago

Fantastic experience: this location was closed for a few weeks recently due to a fire in the mall and I was very pleased to see them open again!

MR. KRABZ Posted on Google 4 years ago

Positive experience: Good Deals on Everything I get all my games there, & staff has always been very helpful. Easy Returns, just keep your receipt

Gavin Ryan Posted on Google 5 years ago

Fantastic experience: Always a pleasure! Cute workers, great service!

PDX Posted on Google 5 years ago

Negative experience: There are very few used games here. Mostly just new games, which I've found are consistently overpriced, comparatively. The main reason for the 1 star is that an employee flat out lied to me today. I bought 2 new games, one of them being Luigi's Mansion 3 for Nintendo Switch. The lone employee (who I'm pretty sure was a manager) tried to upsell me on the "multiplayer expansion pack" for it, as I had mentioned my intention to play that game multiplayer with my daughter. When I asked what the expansion pack included, she said, "it allows you to play multiplayer." I said, "can't you play multiplayer already?" With the game box in hand, she said, "No. Luigi's Mansion 3 is a single player game. You need the expansion pack to play multiplayer." I declined to purchase the expansion and I had to also ask that she remove the protection plan purchases that she automatically added to my purchase without asking me. After I left the store I looked at the box and it clearly says 1-8 players. I then looked online and confirmed that even the main story mode can be played couch co-op. She bold-faced lied to me in an attempt to make an extra $10. I can only imagine the intense pressure these poor employees must be under from corporate to upsell customers, when they will lie to your face, knowing you will immediately discover their lie upon leaving their store. I will never go here again. As a side note, it's also very frustrating that they open new product, so they can have a display box. This means that if you buy their last copy of a "new" game, you will end up with a game that has been opened and handled, which is not considered new by literally anybody's standards, besides Game Stop. They could easily reprint box art and put it on an empty box for display purposes, instead of selling opened and handled games as "new."

Oderick Smith Posted on Google 5 years ago

Negative experience: Not much of a selection, guy was having a nervous breakdown and store employee did a great job assisting customer and locating emergency services.

Kevin gastelum Posted on Google 5 years ago

Fantastic experience: I actually felt pretty safe here during the pandemic, not too many people, plenty of spacing stickers. I was expecting much worse in such a small area

Renée duComyn Posted on Google 5 years ago

Negative experience: I hate that they display controllers and such that they don't have on stock, nor can you even order, and they tell you they aren't even being made anymore, bit they nevertheless leave them on display. It's stupid.

Sine McDale Posted on Google 5 years ago

Negative experience: Prices are too high for used games. Try ebay. Better selection and way cheap

Drew Mow Posted on Google 5 years ago

Positive experience: Not many good deals. I remember they used to have way more product to choose from. Not worth your time

Donald Quesenberry Posted on Google 5 years ago

Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff. The employee who helped me was awesome.

Robert Fira Posted on Google 5 years ago

Positive experience: Good store to pick up game accessories. If you're looking for something specific, you might want to look elsewhere.

Sonja Coy Posted on Google 5 years ago

Positive experience: They usually have what I am looking for online or in the store but the store reps can be iffy. Alot of new hires without a lot of training.

Stu Pedasso Posted on Google 5 years ago

Positive experience: Prices for an Xbox controller are annoying when they break in two seconds

Zack Davis Posted on Google 5 years ago

Fantastic experience: Awesome game shop with awesome customer service

Viva Hernandez Posted on Google 5 years ago

Fantastic experience: Workers are very friendly and helpful

Joshua Peterson Posted on Google 5 years ago

Negative experience: #1 the worker was great #2 never again will I shop at gamestop, I will not reward their new system. They purposelfully do not let you know what they have in stock so you have to go in to their stores to up traffic and sales. Do I like beimg manipulated, no. Never again will I shope at/through gamestop. Fools.

James Peoples Posted on Google 5 years ago

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience. Staff were super friendly and helped me get what I wanted quickly and cheerfully. I was there around 4 on 12/30 and the young lady with the cape helped me. She answered all my questions, chatted with me about games and was really great. I didn't catch her name. I haven't been in the Lloyd Center for a couple of years. Seeing all the closed stores was weird.

Fantastic experience: Great GameStop people are friendly very helpful spent $1,000 here but they were awesome and they gave us the best deal

Nick Jones Posted on Google 5 years ago

Fantastic experience: So, my xbox decided not to work today. I called Microsoft and was over warranty, so they were unhelpful. I called gamestop and spoke to Jaime (spelling?). She was super helpful and let me to bring my xbox in and see if it was just the power cord going bad. I don't think thia is a store policy, but it worked. My Xbox is working now and Jaime made my day. Would definitely recommend this gamestop in the mall just because of her. Super helpful and nice. Give this excellent employee some bonus points for helping me out, and making a sale.

Matt D Posted on Google 5 years ago

Negative experience: Just but it online. They will sell you games you still have to get ea or whatever pass for that you would have gotten the game for free anyways. Why buy a disc that can scratch and then you try and trade it o sell it and dont get nothing for it. Let this company go under. Its not like its cheaper than just buying online.

Serena Bergstrom Posted on Google 5 years ago

Fantastic experience: Great helpful got what I needed I enjoyed it I will recommend it

Fantastic experience: Even though it was small it was just a really great place to get video games turn old ones in half to say it was much better than game Wizard.
