Transaction for the systems was really fair and one of the owners helped me a lot with understanding the value of the cards. Negative experience: Sales person misrepresented a game on her phone to me being a 1rst time customer that i trusted ,, unhappy it turned out being a different game than she led me onto... unhappy during a refund return visit as they only offered half of what i payed,,, this is a rip off business .. i

It has been a destination for a lot of my bumming around town adventures because, it has always has a welcoming atmosphere that a lot of stores don't. Their new space is amazing with something for every retro gamer. To put it plainly, its a place that brings the kid back outta me everytime I step through those doors, into the Gamers Paradise. Fantastic experience: Double Jump Video Games literally made a Christmas dream come true for our family. My son had one—and only one—request for Christmas: PaRappa The Rapper for his PlayStation Slim. I searched everywhere and couldn’t find it. I was coming up empty and feeling defeated… until Double Jump stepped in. Not only did they find the game, they actually sold it from a personal collection just to make my son’s Christmas wish come true. That kind of kindness and dedication is rare these days. Beyond that incredible gesture, their knowledge of vintage gaming systems is seriously impressive. Their inventory is huge, their prices are fair, and they have never once pressured us into buying anything we didn’t need. They genuinely care about helping customers—not just making a sale. The store is packed with fun, nostalgic items, and every visit feels like stepping into a gamer’s dream. My son and I absolutely love this place. If you’re looking for retro games, honest pricing, and people who truly care, Double Jump Video Games is the place to go.

The prices have improved from a bit on the pricey side to very reasonable and essentially market price even when copies are in great condition. The new location is much more expansive with a great selection, wonderful staff and a really nice vibe. Will definitely be coming back!

Fantastic experience: Took my 7 year old daughter with me here. She is a HUGE Kirby fan. Most stores in town have very little Kirby items or selection and when we walked in the store we were greeted by dozens and dozens of different plushies. She was so excited! We got the spend time walking through the isles and I got to point out all the different games I played when I was younger. Was a great experience. Game selection had decent variety. Lots of different titles, (including Japanese titles), and other more exotic or unknown games, from what I could see. Also some current gen selection but retro definitely seemed to be the focus (which is great!) I'm definitely curious to see if they have a games database online for easier searching. Prices seemed quite reasonable. Not going to compete with Amazon of course, but still totally acceptable for a local shop. Some insanely expensive games but that's because they're factory sealed and graded, so, it's expected. 10/10 will be coming back.

Fantastic experience: What a great new store these guys have here. Im a nostalgia farmer and love all the vintage Nintendo stuff they have in stock. I purchased a Mario 3 cartridge for NES but didnt think to have it tested before I walked out as my toddler was being fussy. Sure enough it was glitchy.. kinda expected from a 28 year old cartridge. I brought it back and they deep cleaned and tested it.. it worked perfectly. I don't care much that I had to come back, their location is convenient for me. Though, it could have caused some else more issue. Double jump will continue to get my business as they have a fabulous store front, are very friendly and provide superior customer service.

Negative experience: The store is a pass for me and I have to give it a low rating. They're somewhat friendly, although a bit too rigid and robotic. Prices seem to be around 10-20% above eBay generally, which is good, but the stuff in glass cases can be just too expensive. Their "Blockbuster" section was a letdown- mostly just new expensive vinyl game soundtracks. A couple of arcade cabinets were on freeplay but nothing I NEEDED to play. Seem to be heavily into Pokemon stuff. And cards- not something I care for personally. Unfortunately I came in to trade in some titles but even though I got there well before the cutoff time for trade-ins (an hour before close) 'Ariel' said that they aren't doing trade-ins anymore because there is a Whatnot auction going on and she is the only one managing the store. The other employees were working on the auctions. This is the second time I had walked there to do this trade-in: the first time I arrived within the last hour that the store is open where they don't take trade-ins any longer. Fair enough. This time though, I had called a day earlier to confirm the time, and said I would be by, but whoever I spoke to didn't mention they would be stopping trades earlier. Saw a couple of people in the store with other potential trades too. Ariel didn't have enough time to look at my five games (all commons), but did have enough time to talk with another customer for five minutes about the differences between some Pokemon games. So I passed up on the games I was going to buy, took my trades, and left. Oh well. The store reminds me of Pink Gorilla in Seattle, but that is a better store. They don't have a trade cut off time and the employees are cooler. I would say that the store is not worth coming out to. If you live any distance away at all, you're not missing anything. Go to a local game store near you instead. If you are in town for PRGE you can see them there (and their show prices). It's not worth taking a trip out to the store. Now I await the shellacking the owner will give me like they do all other negative reviews. Hope the whatnot auctions are going well. Everyone else, decide for yourself.

Positive experience: Great selection, great atmosphere. Just make sure you do some research on prices before buying as they don't take returns or offer partial refunds on preowned items unless it's damaged or defective. I mistakenly purchased a sealed collector's edition game (that I thought was out of production) from them for 2x the price on the manufacturer's website. I figured they also didn't know it was still being made thus the price was increased for rarity. When I realized what happened and I asked for in store credit to make up the difference they said no. Obviously my fault for the situation but be aware they don't work with you after the fact and some stuff is marked up (mistakenly or not). Edit after owner response - I recognize in hindsight that I shouldn't have purchased the game from you guys and waited for preorders to ship. Like I said, my misunderstanding and my fault. But the unwillingness to work with me was a bit souring. I would've even been willing to exchange it for something else of the same value and then purchase a preorder from Fangamer. I Appreciate the follow up though.

Fantastic experience: I love scouring any retro game store in the area, big or small, nearby or farther away. I've mainly been looking for Gameboy Color and Advance games, and the selection at Double Jump is actually pretty good and relatively fairly priced compared to other stores. When I visited last, they did lack some of the more popular games, but they could have been out of stock due to a busy time of year. They seem to be well-staffed and knowledgeable, and the person helping my partner and me check out had some cool recommendations. The store is spacious, well-decorated, and comfortable, pretty easy to navigate. It also offers more than just video games, including nerdy merchandise. Overall, I really like this store and will definitely be coming back.

Fantastic experience: Wow where has this place been all my life? Great assortment of retro and new video games and collectibles. I bought some really Christmas gifts for my girls who love Pokemon. I talked with like 5 different employees while I was in there at various times and every single one was friendly and great to talk to. Will definitely make this a regular place to stop in.

I come in to purchase and trade in and have gotten some awesome deals, their store is neat and organized and they also have a wishlist that you can ask for certain games/systems to be set aside, also got a sweet old school CRT from them and ever since coming here my SNES collection has grown exponentially!!

Fantastic experience: I had the most wonderful experience at Double Jump Games, and I absolutely have to highlight Ariel, who made my visit truly special. As a newcomer to retro gaming, I brought in my PS2 that I randomly bought off Facebook Marketplace, and they tested it out for free! Ariel was beyond knowledgeable and took the time to make sure everything worked perfectly. She also checked different discs to ensure the reader was fine, which was such a great gesture. Not only did I get my PS2 up and running, but Ariel also recommended some fantastic games that fit exactly what I was looking for. The pricing was INCREDIBLY reasonable, the most I spent on an individual item was $13, and she even helped me find the right cords and controllers. Her passion for retro games is contagious, and it's clear she sees herself as a guardian of gaming history. The store itself is a gem, with a vast selection and prices that beat everything I've seen online. They even offer advice or direction for things they don't carry/ services they are unable to provide, which is just beyond amazing to me. I left the store feeling truly moved and grateful for the experience. I can't recommend Double Jump Games enough, and I will definitely be back!

Fantastic experience: Disc Resurfacing for the win! I had some rare xbox 360 games and they would freeze up and glitch due to scratches. Double Jump resurfaced them via mail and they play like brand new games! Highly Recommended!

Fantastic experience: I'm primarily an online shopper but still wanted to leave a review. Double Jump is always the first place I will check when I'm looking for a particular video game. I have to say that at least 80 percent of the time they have exactly what I'm looking for. Unfortunately sometimes a physical customer will snag something I really wanted and I end up receiving a refund but it's not the end of the world when it happens. The mystery boxes are amazing - nearly every time they happen to add something I haven't played in forever and have almost forgotten about. They will also give you more than what you paid for in those boxes. The few times I communicated with them, I have felt nothing but respect, kindness, and awesomeness. Recently I had received a package from elsewhere and it had some Pokemon cards with the item. Didn't know anything about the cards so I emailed DJ since I don't have any Pokemon fans as friends. Whoever replied to me helped me understand what I had received and didn't make me feel stupid This might be a small business but they have big hearts for their customers. You peeps are so awesome!!

I've brought in things to trade in before and it's been a bit hit or miss, but for some items, I have been given good trade-in value. Be sure to take advantage of their rewards program to save a few bucks here and there if you visit the store often. They are also really good about calling you if you put an item on your wishlist (in-store) and they get the item in.

Negative experience: Huge selection of sports games. Not a lot of real games in rotation. Will not accept Xbox One console at all. Not the nicest staff or the most hygienic. The NEO GEO arcade is always broken! I hope something is done about all that because, as it stands now, I can no longer support this once great small business.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I have only had the opportunity to shop online and on Whatnot streams because we live in California, but everything we've purchased so far has been in amazing condition! It's shipped out immediately and arrives to us extremely quickly. When we had an issue before (our fault), they were super helpful. They truly go above and beyond for their customers! Fantastic experience: I live across the country (GA) and have made two purchases. 1 on whatnot and the other through the store's website. So, I have not been into the store in person. I have watched the store's YouTube channel for a couple years now and have just now decided to make my purchases. I have seen through the channel just how much they care for their games, the hobby and customer satisfaction. I can honestly say that this store cares about the quality of their items and the customer service they provide through my personal experience buying from them. For example, I was sent the wrong condition of a game that I ordered by mistake, so I emailed the store, and they quickly responded and corrected the issue and were super friendly. You don't get the kind of customer service from most places now days. Fantastic experience: These guys are beyond awesome and so fun!! My apologies for not leaving a review sooner, but back in November we traveled from Utah to Oregon to visit family, and my husband insisted we visit this store as he's a big fan of their videos and is a big video game collector. This place was so cool, my husband found some great games, and the staff were beyond friendly!! Abbey and Ariel are the cutest and sweetest people!!! They felt bad that we traveled so far, but just missed Cooper as he was traveling to a few states to find games and make content, so they threw in some freebies and merch. Fantastic experience: Ordered 2 oem snes controllers, and they ended up being a little late. I messaged them to verify the order, and the customer service was excellent! They upgraded my shipping and gave me a discount for the delay. Controllers arrived and are in perfect working Order. Finally was able to bust the old snes out and enjoy it with my kids.

Negative experience: Bad offers. 40% is crazy. When they be selling your stuff for three times what they pay you. I sold a ps vita, Batman black gate and a worth 80 dollar game to them for 100 even they are selling just the vita for 130. Who knows how much they’re selling the sealed Buffy for. I had a total of at least 300+ worth or stuff where I had to wait nearly 30 minutes to get told that a switch and three popular and one newer game is only 140. Bad place. Sell on marketplace stop trusting game shops and DIY

The very friendly staff, the collectibles, the hidden gems, the rare titles, the shelves upon shelves filled with games from almost every generation, the prices, the sweets, the blurays, the soundtracks, the consoles, the controllers, I could go on and on about the quality and quantity of things you could find inside this amazing little store. I visit this store at least once a year because every time they impress me with something new or unique that I couldn't find last time. It is a business that continues to set the gold standard for what a videogame store should be and I can only hope their new location will be their best version yet. If you love old videogames or just gaming in general, you need to visit this store at least once. I guarantee you will find at least one thing in that store that will amaze you.

Fantastic experience: we've been to nearly every retro game store within 50 miles of the 101 from California to Port Angeles and this site has no questions asked the widest and most varied selection of retro and gaming merchandise from toys, devices, and everything in between! if you're looking for the run of the mill hot topic-esque Funko Pop shop head somewhere else because you will only find the greatest collection of vintage gaming stuff in the Pacific Northwest. easiest 5 stars ever. oh, and the video games+console/handhelds are within 10-15% of eBay prices, not ridiculously marked up like 99% of other stores of the like. definitely worth popping in to check out what they have you won't regret it

Fantastic experience: Never been in this place, I'm glad I went. There is a lot of different variety of old school games from atari, nes or games today. Good prices on some games, I did find one gem from my childhood that I had to buy, very good condition too. Go check out the place if you haven't.

Fantastic experience: A wonderful store, the type that any video game lover can get completely immersed in. Their selection is very good for almost every single console you can think of. Their staff is friendly and helpful. They have rare things that you would be hard pressed to find, at reasonable prices. I was looking for a Disney power disc for the Infinity platform and they were very helpful.

Fantastic experience: I've only ordered online from DJVG but through several orders, I've been very satisfied with the items that I received and I'm especially happy with the prices. I live in an area that has plenty video game resale shops, but I haven't found their prices to be nearly as fair as what I've seen with DJVG. Their website isn't perfect at the moment, but it looks like they're working on it so I wouldn't be surprised if the searching and loading issues are fixed in the near future. It'd be nice if they had pictures of the actual items, or at least of the higher priced items, but their grading criteria has been accurate on everything I've ordered.

Fantastic experience: UPDATE: I visited in person for the first time in 2023 with my wife and mom. The store was setup well. Each system has its own section on the floor and the it's the same for the glass cases. Lots of games and movies for everyone to enjoy. The best part is everyone who works at Double Jump are friendly and helpful. It was a joy to visit. :) I have never personally been to their store, but I have placed a few online orders. The items come in the great condition, unless noted in their selling listing. Fast shipping and good prices. I follow their YouTube videos as well to keep up to date what is happening around their game store. Cooper, Abby, and Ryan seem like really friendly and nice people.

Fantastic experience: Just got my mystery box and got to say it was a great surprise. I forgot sometimes how many retro games are out there. Would definitely recommend ordering from them they followed exactly what I asked for and shipped relatively quickly. Will definitely be ordering from them again.

Fantastic experience: What a COOL PLACE. How did we not find you sooner? Nostalgia overload. ❤️ We loved going here and getting some Wii games and playing the mini arcade set up. So cool. GREAT prices too. The employees were so helpful and talkative. The nostalgic candies were a fun extra. Definitely will be back!

Positive experience: Great shop, sadly ruined by poor customer service. Don't expect any employees to approach you and ask if you need help with anything. Of the 4 employees I counted during my visit, not a single one seemed to even acknowledge my presence. I don't expect to be waited on hand and foot, but a simple " Hello, welcome in... let us know if you need help finding something. " would not be too much to ask.

Fantastic experience: Sent a disc to be resurfaced all the way from Georgia, because they were one of the only ones I found in a Google search. They did exactly what they advertised just send it in no need in calling with a little info and sent right back in working condition again!! My son is a huge Godzilla fan is so happy his game is working again!!! (Also thanks for the case!!!)

Fantastic experience: This is a very cool store with a very large variety of video games and collectibles. They have a website with a great search engine that makes it easy to see what's in stock even when at home. They also have a YouTube channel that makes it easy to feel connected to the store; like a little happy community of gamers. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. This is a must see location for casual and hardcore gamers alike.

Fantastic experience: I went in for 2 wii motion bricks, and the family/staff there greeted me kindly and immediately helped me find what I came in for. Then as I was looking around, I noticed that they had DVDs, and I'd been looking for a copy of Knights Tale for a while. Then Kyle - who was a total savant - said "oh yeah, I see it right now!" I have no idea how he saw it lol... great pricing, great rapport building with customers, all around great store and people. I SHALL RETURN.
