Negative experience: Friendly staff for the most part, overheard some questionable conversations… aside from that be warned they will sell you broken figures, I purchased a anime figure from here and realized once I got home the arm was broken off… box was not sealed either and I was not disclosed any information regarding possible broken parts. Please reduce your pricing if that’s the case. I could’ve just went to Ross and spent $5 less for an actual complete figure.

Fantastic experience: Friendly, knowledgeable and family operated used game store with more. Legendary games has a little bit of everything; games, consoles, hard to find items, collectibles and memorabilia, they even have Pokémon cards. Definitely worth checking out!!

Fantastic experience: Edit: 7 years later and still the best. I've been in a couple of times in the last week, and they are still the best. It's impressive that after 19 years of being open that the owners show that they still love what they are doing. They are still as kind, attentive, and generous as they were way back when we went there for the first time. Unlike other local stores, I feel welcome and actually appreciated as a customer. Fantastic experience: Best place to go in town. Great variety, rare finds and the owner is awesome.

Negative experience: They don’t test their games to make sure they work. Buyer beware. They refuse to provide a refund even if they sell you a damaged game with a huge gash in it. They will exchange it with something else but if you only want a specific game they aren’t likely to have anything else you interested.

Negative experience: Been trying to go in for 2 weeks now and never open.. yall need to wake up and go to work, please and thank you.

Fantastic experience: I just came back into town after moving away from Vancouver and decided to stop in here to see if they had any cool retro games or consoles. I ended up finding a game boy camera and a Wii u in addition to some other really cool rare accessories. I had no idea that Kelly owned this shop until I walked in and saw him. He used to sell me games as a kid when he worked for another shop about 20 years ago. It was a pleasant surprise to reconnect and see that he's still delivering same awesome experience to kids through video games. They gave me an insane deal on the items and none of their stock was overpriced the way that some stores are. Thanks again!

Positive experience: Great selection of stuff they're upgrading the store which it looks even better they've been there for a while been in there a few different times but I have to say the main reason I don't buy anything is the gentleman's attitude that I deal with. He's very short to the point of just buy something and get out of my store. But he does have a few items I'm really wanting to buy.

Fantastic experience: Had a digital PS5 in pretty good shape from what I have tested with a few dozen hours on deathstranding 2, controller is a little sticky but a little tlc fixed that up, hoping it all stays working but overall good experience

Fantastic experience: First time in the store today as I always drive past it. Very friendly family owned business. Currently getting a remodel so there is some stuff in the way to browse around. Great selection of games just wish there was more PS1 games. But all around I highly recommend if you love supporting the small family owned business. It's a smaller family owned and operated store with a huge selection of stuff and their prices are always more than fair when it comes to buy or selling them stuff. Plus if they don't have something you're looking for specifically then let them know and they're more than happy to try to get it for you. Customer service like that is rare to receive anymore.

Negative experience: I came in here with this PS5 controller never used, I specifically told him I did not like the Xbox style of the controller and he told me he wasn't going to sell this item so he told me he'd do 70 in store credit. I understand that you need to make money but days later on Facebook I see the item posted for sale. I feel lied to as I was very kind in-store. Low balling as much as this and lying is ridiculous I will no longer shop here as Double jump is a better option. I did not ask for a "repair" idk how you got that maybe you should read the review a bit better. You are a liar and a LOWBALLER I took your word for not selling this item and instead giving it as a gift. You are lying business owner.

Fantastic experience: Wii Play for $6 and it came In a Dora saves the snow princess case, which I think makes it worth more honestly. And the daughter of the owners does art stuff and it’s only $2 for a disk cleaning??? Go here.

Positive experience: This place has friendly staff, a good selection of PS2/Xbox/X360/PS3 games, and a really neat display for their newer PS4/Xbox One titles. The selection for most other consoles is a little underwhelming or it's just the bare disc/cartridge. The prices feel fair, or at least on par with other game stores in the area. There was also a strange odor when I walked when I got near the back of the store, but it wasn't strong or noticeable throughout the rest of the store. Overall a pretty cool place to pick up titles that other stores might not have (e.g. Toy Commander for the Sega Dreamcast).

Negative experience: Visited here once expecting a good selection based on reviews and it is true they have a decent selection but are lacking in good handheld games. Nonetheless I leave this review with 2 stars due to the cleanliness of the space. Upon entering, the odor of the space seemed unclean and upon walking up to the counter I noticed multiple dirty pizza boxes just sitting on the games display counter as well as an open Tupperware of chicken wings just sitting there… need I say more?

Fantastic experience: To the guy who went inside the store on october 5, maybe like during 2ish pm, had a friend with long curly hair. I don’t usually do this, but I saw you coming out of the store today, and something about you caught my attention. I didn’t get the chance to say hi, so I’m hoping this finds you. and your style definitely stood out in the best way—those glasses and that low-key nerdy vibe really caught my eye.

Fantastic experience: Really cool retro game store. They have good deals on movies and a lot of retro swag. Their popular retro games and gear tend to go pretty quickly, especially with collection items. They are very customer friendly and well communicated.

Fantastic experience: Easily the best place around in terms of prices. This is one of the only retro game shops I know that will give you equal to or sometimes less than online prices, and they will give great deals too. Staff is very courteous and considerate, and while I wish they had a bit more older games, I'm sure it's because they sold them at a great price. Fantastic experience: I have bought Multiple game consoles from this place. Xbox, SNES, Wii (red), PS1, PS1 mini and so on. Quite a few games too! This is my go to place when I'm in this part of the state. Quality products and great staff. Super cool people. If you're in the Vancouver area or just passing through like I do, you have to check this place out.

Negative experience: Came here on a Sunday. The business hours on the door shows they are open 12:30-6:30. The online Google maps hours shows that they are open 12:30-6:30 on Sundays. I arrived there at 12:39 and NO ONE WAS THERE. The doors were locked. No sign or anything on the door saying that they would be closed on Sunday. I went back to check at 12:51, and no one was there. Why show that it opens at 12:30 when the store isn't even open?! Complete waste of time, I will not be back.

Fantastic experience: Every time me and my boys walk into this place our jaws drop on all the old cool stuff they have. The owner and his wife treat my boys like family. If there's something they don't have get put on their waiting list. Great store great people!!

Fantastic experience: Nice shop that sold me a copy of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for the low. My family is in town for a 7v7 tournament and stopped in after eating at the cafe next door. So glad that we did. There is a lot to look at but the great thing is the price as well as the fact that they like to offer bundles. If you are ever in town, be sure to check them out!

Fantastic experience: This is what I like to call my happiest place on earth its a mom and pop video game shop! So you know who your supporting when you buy with your hard earned money. Fantastic experience: I was really surprised when we visited this store. This is a mom and pop shop and the owners are really down to earth and kind. When I walked in, I instantly felt welcome. Their prices are really competitive and their sales and deals are great. In regards to their stock, this store had an extensive on-site selection. Multiple generations of Nintendo, Xbox, playstations, handheld, movies, cards, and even toys.

Positive experience: Interesting mix of games and movies and Pokemon cards. We expected there to be a stronger game selection but there were only a few rare titles. The entire middle section was mostly movies and the back was collectibles. Owners were nice though and pretty friendly.

Fantastic experience: If you're looking for retro games, you have 3 options in Vancouver. And honestly, all three are good. Legendary games definitely offers a different experience from the others. Which is what keeps me coming back. The owners are very kind and personable. They sell all sorts of games and collectables, not just the high dollar/popular items. They are also (always in my experience) cheaper in price to anywhere else. The only con for me is they don't have an online inventory. But honestly...that just means I check there first, and if they have it I know I'll get it for a great deal!

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough good things about this place. It is hands down the best retro/used gaming store I've ever been to. There have been other stores like them in the area (which I won't name) that have been overpriced and service was terrible. There is a reason Legendary Games is still in business and have so many great reviews. Their prices are reasonable, their staff is ALWAYS friendly and helpful and they have a great selection. Fantastic experience: Awesome game store! I get all my original Game Boy carts here. Plenty of games for OG GB, GBC, GBA Genesis, Game Cube, Wii, Wii U, older X-Boxes. Also great to buy less recent consoles like the Nintendo DS. Super friendly, knowledgeable, fair staff. Trades will be great. You should ask them if they have something your looking for even if you don’t see it. They may have a order placed for it, not have it on display, or some other situation. You can bargain and trade with the staff and they won’t be negative about unless your making a ridiculous offer. Good for gifts for people who have older consoles.

Fantastic experience: Plenty of parking, staff is great now and really helpful. This place is so good now, and not dreadful like other places on fourth plain. Plenty of vintage games all really good prices. Staff knows what they are talking about and have plenty of experience dealing with games and figures. the best thing about this store is you don't have to walk a mile to get into the store. Best store in Vancouver these guys are like family. Don't buy in a closet, buy from real game people.

Fantastic experience: Selection is always good, and changes fairly often given the trade-in nature of the vintage game market. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable about games and game systems. There is a ton of accessories too, so plan to look around for a while at all the cool stuff.

Fantastic experience: My fiancé and I went here to look for a N64 and some games. Everyone at the store was extremely friendly and helpful. We had an issue with one of the controllers and came back the next day and Riley was super awesome and helped us get a replacement.

Fantastic experience: Really great used games shop. It's a family run business and the owners are super friendly and knowledgeable. Great prices on used consoles and games alike, plus they have a huge selection of movies on vhs dvd and Blu-ray. They've got a lot of games from older 8 bit and 16 bit era systems as well as a big selection up to about the Wii/ps3 era. There are plenty of games from the latest systems but the amount of games for the Wii / ps3 era and before is incredibly large. The entire wall behind their counter is covered with super cool boxes from retro gaming systems and has a lot of personality. It's worth the visit just to see that wall by itself. Very cool place to visit even if you don't have something specific in mind to pickup.

Fantastic experience: Decided to check this place out and needed a new game store to look at. I was so glad I dropped by here because I am impressed with their low prices on games and the store owners even gave me a good deal on a rare hand held gaming system and included a charger with it for free. I will go back to this place again. They also sell DVDs as well.

Fantastic experience: This is my go to spot. Family owned and ran. These folks have been working with me on my video game and movie wants and needs for probably close to 20 years! As employees with other stores and now as owners of their own. I can't tell you how awesome it was the first time I walked into their store and recognized them. I was so happy. It had been a few years since I had seen them. I knew I was in good hands and I do business buying, selling and trading with them often. I highly recommend this store and these people. I wish I could give them 6 stars out of 5!

Positive experience: Honestly, it was alright. Games systems are reasonably priced, however if you're trading them in chances are you won't get as much as you would from another store. HOWEVER, if you're trying to find a game the system in which they file it was HORRIBLE. I gave up at trying to find a game I wanted to check out. I'll admit seeing the action figures and life size characters of movies is really awesome, this place would be good for atmosphere, but in all reality this place is for younger teenagers with lots of kill time. specially if you're looking for a certain game. The gentleman working the counter was really knowledgeable and friendly, which is nice. Overall it's really not that bad of a place, just expect to spend extra time diggin for certain game, oh and don't forget to check the boxes on the floor.

It's a buy-sell-trade place so if your looking for something specific they'll take your phone number and name and let you know if anyone brings something in. Support local businesses!

Fantastic experience: Normally game stores (retro stores especially) have insane markups but just about everything I saw was at or below what it should go for. They were very happy to work with me on prices for several games I picked up as well. All in all, solid game store, I wholeheartedly recommend checking them out before going anywhere else!

Fantastic experience: Went to trade in a couple games, it was my first visit there. I was pretty impressed by their selection of older games and DVDs and they have all sorts of other cool stuff in the store and the owner was incredibly nice and helpful. Gave me well above what GameStop would have and it was so easy, I just handed him the games I didn't want anymore and was able to pick out a couple things I wanted and walk out. I don't go to game stores often but I will definitely return at some point. However a word of warning, they don't have a huge selection of PS4 or XONE games. Which isn't really a bad thing, honestly. Tons of PS3, PS2, GameCube, etc.,

Positive experience: A great place to look for retro games in (typically) great condition. The owner is an awesome guy, and is more than willing to work with you for trades. If they don't have a particular game you are looking for, they will put you on a wait list, and hold it for you for a short time: great for those hard to find games. Overall, I highly recommend this location for your retro hunting. As an addendum: you may want to avoid if you have a severe dog allergy however.

Fantastic experience: Stopped in and I asked a stupid amount of question and the owner was more then helpful. He was more then willing to go Above and Beyond to help me. I highly recommend this store if you are looking for any retro system and games. They have fair prices. Will be going back for any game needs in the future.

Fantastic experience: This place is great! The deals are cheap, huge variety and owner cares about his customers. He had exactly what we were looking for. Even surprised us for selling it so low, like practically nothing. I told my family if they didnt get the PS2 I hinted at for my birthday at this store, I would be extremely disappointed.

Negative experience: Just had a less than satisfactory visit at Legendary Games. We bought two NEW N64 controllers 10 days ago, mind you we live out of the area. Tonight we took both controllers back, again just 10 days later, boxed and WITH a receipt... and the clerk could not refund our money back. The controllers’ sticks stuck and did awful squeaking during game play. The man behind the counter lied and said he “remembered” my husband during the transaction, which is not in fact the truth. My husband was never told the policy that you can’t return items. Which would have stopped our purchase right there. Seriously so disappointed in a small town business not helping the customer out. We will not be back and honestly won’t spend another dime there. The clerk was rude and wouldn’t in the least help us out. He said he couldn’t afford to refund our $40, makes me question how one can be in business on that budget....

Fantastic experience: Such a great local independent family-owned game store with knowledgeable, friendly staff and opened long hours, 7 days a week. Games for all kinds of systems! Tons of cool retro stuff. I'm not a gamer but stop in here often as the mother of two gamer sons. If they don't have it, they will find it for you! They also do trade-ins and gift cards.

Fantastic experience: These guys are great. Fair prices, honest trade-in values, and you can tell that they care about what they do. Never had a negative experience with this shop (and I’ve definitely had bad experiences with similar places). They also sell dvd’s and blu rays for super cheap compared to anywhere else. All my questions are answered and if they don't have the game they will keep an eye out and call you when they get one in or find one. Fantastic experience: I'm never going back to Game Stop!! Legendary Games has low prices and a huge selection of vintage and current games. Owner/manager is willing to negotiate prices and pay more than fair rates. I hope they open up more locations. I was happy to spend my money there.

Negative experience: This place is trash and super shady. Shop online or at other gaming stores. I wanted to buy some new N64 controllers, so I called Legendary Games and asked if they had any in stock. They told me that they had some third-party controllers that work great, etc. (I'm not a huge gamer, so I'm trusting that these people are the "experts" - my mistake). To reassure me that I should buy some controllers from Legendary Games, the guy on the phone tells me "Come in, buy the controllers and if you don't like them or they're defective you have 90 days to return them." Gee! Sounds risk-free! So I drive way out to Legendary Games and buy the 3rd-party N64 controllers. I try out the controllers with my friends and the controllers are terrible - just waaaaaay too sensitive. Completely unusable. I swear to god my friends were getting motion-sickness because their characters were swinging so far back-and-forth (we were playing "Goldeneye"). I know immediately that I'll have to return the controllers. I check the receipt and find out that all I can get is store credit, not a cash refund. The guy on the phone had completely (and I can safely say intentionally) mislead me. Wanting to get my money back, I call Legendary Games already knowing that there's not a chance that they're gonna do right by me, but I figure I'll give it a try. I explain my whole story and the guy just says, "Yeah, well our return policy is right there on the receipt." Exactly. On the receipt. After the purchase has already been completed, leaving customers with no recourse other than some store credit to this dump. I pointed out that I had only bought the controllers because when I had initially called Legendary Games, I had been assured that I could bring my stuff back within 90 days if I wasn't satisfied. "Sorry, bud," was the guy's response. Nice. I will never shop here again. You should avoid this place like the plague. Stay away. You can't trust these people.

Fantastic experience: Great place to find older and new games and movies that you may have forgotten. The staff is super helpful when it comes to knowledge of video and table top games. If your looking for something to help you figure out what to do with a long boring night at home stop in and see what they have in store for you. Their trade in values are pretty good to for when your ready to pass along a treasure for someone else to find and pic up something new for yourself or just as a present for someone else

Fantastic experience: Been going here for years, a dream location for the nostalgic and the modern gamer alike. Owners are friendly, knowledgeable and willing to make deals. The selection is mind boggling and they have the BEST disc cleaners I've ever come across. They restored some, in my opinion, irreparably scratched original discs that wouldn't play before that now play like new. You can find games, systems and collectables here that you can't find anywhere else. Must see for any gamer.

Fantastic experience: So for a long time I've lived in the Vancouver Area and one of my hobbies is playing and collecting video games. for the longest time I went to GameStop, which in my opinion sucks balls. so then I'm talking to a buddy of mine and says there's this game store called Legendary Games and how there's such good prices. so I go there and my mouth literally DROPPED. It was the coolest thing. They've got practically everything I need for a game room and you can get a game console for about 2 games! Highly recommend this place,its 1 of a kind.

Fantastic experience: My Kids and I have been going in here consistently for the past Few years. Even more in the past few months. The Number one point to make is that Legendary Games will always give you more Trade-In Value on your games than anywhere else locally that I know of. The Staff is Very Knowledgeable and take their Business seriously and will always take time to talk with you. My Kids ask me all the time if we can go in and buy and trade in games. Always leave happy Every time. Insanely good selection of Retro Games and consoles if you can get in before they are gone ! Recommended highly to Old School Gamers like myself and to Parents that have Game Enthusiast Kids. Nothing but Good things to say about this place. There are not many left like them. Reminds me of early 2000s Game Shops.

Fantastic experience: Great store and good values. Can buff discs for a reasonable price. Membership is well worth it. Only $9.99 for the first year and $4.99 there after. Have pretty awesome sales from time to time. Neat store in a convenient area. Manager kelly knows his stuff.

Fantastic experience: Michael sold me a PlayStation 2, and when I was having issues with it I took it back and thankfully Michael was in the store again. He helped me fix the problem, and hooked me up with a great deal. Super cool guy, legendary games is very lucky to have him! If anyone is looking for an old childhood game, they are sure to have it!

Negative experience: This place is pretty sketchy. I think everybody in the store said "hi" as I walked in. I'm not sure what's going on but I felt like I was invading somebody's space. I noticed that a lot of the games were not priced. I asked about one and I was informed they needed to look it up. I assume they needed to find the going ebay price. I could then hear them whispering about it. When a purchasing a game. I told 3 different times to "join the club". Nothing was horrible but it sure an odd experience.

Positive experience: I have been looking for some retro SNES games for a game console my wife gave me for Christmas. Went to a game store and they were way over priced for the games. Walked into Legendary Games and asked if they had a game I wanted. Not only they did but the price was great. Bought another one also. Plus being a new customer got a little discount. Get staff and cool place to shop for games and movies.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to this place for years now and have never had a bad experience. These people are really passionate about games and very knowledgeable over every product they have. Prices are fantastic (probably the best in town) and they always test their products. Awesome place to go!

Fantastic experience: Great selection. FANTASTIC prices. Friendly and courteous. Normally don't write reviews, but these guys were above board, made sure I understood what I was buying. Purchased a copy of Gran Turismo 3 A-spec. There were several copies on the shelves. They made sure that I selected the least expensive copy and resurfaced for me then plugged in a system and made certain it worked. I'll never go anywhere else for my gaming needs, simply put. Thanks Legendary Games. You truly are legendary.

Positive experience: I would readily go back again and again. True I didn't find all that I wanted, but that's because most games I look for are imports (like Koei's warriors series). If you ask for something then they will search for it themselves to see if they have it. The people are nice and impressed me greatly. It was a slow day and I was the only person browsing. A friend of the owner's stopped by and they got into a fifteen minute or longer conversation about the best way to take down WoW raids. Almost everything I have purchased from Legendary Games has worked. The only things that didn't were a single game and a memory card for my PS2. I went back and they replaced both. I'm a picky gamer. I spent twenty minutes browsing one day and the clerk asked if I needed help with something. I told him what I was searching for and not thirty seconds later he found three games that I was looking for and am still enjoying. My only complaints are the organization of the store (the far games shelf is my bane), the size of it (they need a bigger location), and the clearance boxes. If they were to reorganize the store a bit then I would give them a 5, but for now they are a 4.

Fantastic experience: Been here a few times, these guys are really friendly and more importantly they have cheap prices and great service. Bought a Genesis console that had some issues with the power plug, they took it back and gave me a new one. Great place for classic games!

Fantastic experience: These guys are FANTASTIC people, knowledgeable, and fair. Everyone that works here, even the owner, are just rad people. Morgan is constantly calling me with the "Hey, I just got these in and I know the kinda stuff you like so I'd figure I'd shoot you a call" situation. Their customer service is off the charts. They're constantly making sure that the customer is happy no matter what. After perusing the web for a bit, I still had no problem with handing these guys literally hundreds of dollars just because their prices where BARELY over private market value (They still need to keep the lights on and pay the employees, which I understand). If anyone needs any kind of video game advice, item, or just banter, go to these guys. They are seriously just good people and a good business.

Fantastic experience: This store has a great selection of harder to find games. Wonderful friendly staff who are very willing to help or just talk about gaming with you. A great selection of older Gameboy games and they know how to fix those dead save batteries.

Fantastic experience: Walking into Legendary games was like walking into another world. A very happy a friendly world just for gamers. The man at the counter one of the owners was one of the nicest most knowledgeable associates I have ever had the pleasure to deal with. I brought in several old school consoles to sell to him I wasn't expecting much and no he didn't take everything I had but he explains his reasoning rather then just saying no. He offered me either in store credit or cash. Not knowing I would stay yet I took the cash. Then I got a chance to look around. I can't describe the multitude of games I saw. I could try but I would fail. They were also very fairly priced. Once he saw that I had a few games I wished to purchase he felt bad for not offering me the store credit and happily made me a deal to get the games for the cash he had given me. My husband was looking at the PC games hopeful they had something he would be interested in playing. While they did not have his usual type the associate offered my husband a deal try this new one he'd sell it to us for 5 it was a deal and my husband is very eager to play it! I have only one complaint...The store needs to be bigger! Thank you so much Legendary! You have two new lifetime fans!!!! You Rock!!!
