Positive experience: Cool spot in the mall. They have a little of everything. Would be five stars but the floors are pretty dirty and the prices are outrageous every time I’ve visited. Well beyond eBay prices.

Fantastic experience: I looked everywhere for a copy of Deadpool on PS3 and nobody had it... Until I called this shop. They put a copy on hold and let me pick it up after work! Christian showed me a few more games that I would probably be interested in and after the experience I had here I won't go anywhere else. Great job guys!

Fantastic experience: Great selection and nice browsing atmosphere. The staff are really helpful and don't pressure you to buy. The store is really conveniently located near an entrance so you can be in and out without having to walk the whole mall. Definitely on my frequent shopping list.

Negative experience: I called in advance to check what they do for in store credit and they said its 30% then Called again and asked if they had any gameboy advanced sp models in stock and whoever was working told me they did for 140$ then when I arrived it was marked for 105$ overall place seems super shady after that experience..

Negative experience: 2/28/2026: Went back to visit due to the promise of new ownership. Same HORRIBLE service. More inventory, but overpriced. Pokemon cards 2 for $1 and $1 each. 2/14/2026: Horrible non-existent service and high prices. Even the signs are nasty. If a customer walks in your store acknowledge their existence. Dont ignore them. Very disappointed.

Negative experience: This place falsely advertises its products as refurbished and fully functioning takes money from minor children and refuses to do the right and honorable thing, and give the kid his birthday money back. See below for the story. (Edited to add screen shots from a video of the issue) Man if it could be zero. So here's what happened. My son, who is a minor, purchased a Nintendo 3DS XL for 170 dollars. It was labeled as refurbished fully functional. Well come to find out the camera doesnt work and trying to use it forces the device to crash and restart. So I go back to see about an exchange, nothing available so inquire about a refund. Get told store credit only. It's been less than a week I try to articulate that it was labeled in a misleading way if in fact a major function of the device, needed to play many games on it, does not work at all. That is not refurbished, that is not fully functioning. The employee calls the owner he tells us kick rocks he's busy sucks to suck. So I go back to the store a week later when Ray, the owner, is there and attempt again to ask for a full refund, and not store credit. Especially as its come to light that Ray is actively trying to sell this buisness, so what kind of scam is that? Store credit to a buisness you dont intend to own?? Hmmmmm no no no. Moving on i got about 3 sentences in with Ray, he says we dont refund, I try express my case he starts shaking and getting loud accusing me of being loud then calls security to have me removed. Oh then he did say I would of given you a refund if you weren't acting like a child and barking at me... So annoyingly now I will have to the matter to court in order to get my sons birthday money back for him. Ridiculous. The right thing is to admit the error and misleading information and refund the child's money. What's wrong with some people?

Fantastic experience: Went inside Video Game Adventures at the Vancouver Mall, and they had lots of great prices on games. Plenty of action figures and other little collectibles, as well as some plushies. The person working in the shop was really kind and friendly and helped out when we had questions.

Fantastic experience: I thought this place was wonderful. A nice walk down Memory Lane to hang out in Nostalgia Nook. Got exactly what I came in looking for at a reasonable price and got a very good deal on some trade-ins. I'll definitely be back and will recommend to all my friends who love the Old School.

Fantastic experience: Bought a console. Had a fine time. Dudes behind the counter were cool because unlike some other reviewers I don’t go places expecting to be treated like I’m special. They answered my questions, took my money and thanked me. They were pleasant. Other than that, I was generally left alone. Just the way I like it. Awesome :-)

Negative experience: Tried to get a PS4 controller they had a white one I was so excited about but when I got home I noticed the L3 button doesn't not work. Popped it open and it was so dirty inside bunch of hair but unfortunately that wasn't the issue the L3 analog was toast. Just crazy to see a store sell a used controller with a main button not working think I'll bite the bullet and stick with GameStop atleast there I know they clean their stuff outside and INSIDE. They don't do cash back so I had to get Instore credit and got a 3rd party controller it works so far pretty good but please guys clean the controllers inside and out and test them before trying to sell them.

Negative experience: **** to your response: Yes, we did specifically ask if it was for the Xbox 360 guitar hero. The gentleman that helped us today was the one that told us that it would work for that. The receipt even lists it as guitar hero of which I will be glad to provide a photo for you. The employee that I spoke to today spoke to you on the phone and relayed the message that you said it was universal and that when he responded to you that it wasn't, you told him that I was wrong and you would only give a store credit. Maybe you need to have a further talk with your employee. ********* They sold my son what was supposed to be a controller for GUITAR HERO. When we got home we discovered it was a USB Wired Fender Guitar Controller for Xbox 360 ROCK BAND. We took the guitar back to the store explaining that they sold us the wrong item and the owner claimed that we were wrong and it is a universal controller, which it is not and can be verified by a quick Google search. They refuse to give my son his money back and said all they would do is give him store credit even though this is fraud. I now have a very disappointed autistic son. Don't give them your money.

Positive experience: So I just wanna start out by saying this is a cool store with a great selection……however once is a mistake and twice is a pattern. This is the second game I’ve bought with an obvious defect. Cleaned it up and got it to start. It would not start before. It’s a really nice store and the staff have been nothing but friendly. Just hope the quality assurance and play testing improve.

Positive experience: I used to sell a lot of my games and consoles to this store and really liked the small business feel and wanted to help support it. But lately their offers on anything I bring into them has gone down considerably. I've even been openly lied to about the value of one of my items just to then see it on display a week later for almost double what I was told they would sell it for. Then today I took in a stack of my older video games and was offered 25 dollars, I then took that same stack over to GameStop just a few stores away and was given 63.33 for that same stack of games. So if you're looking to buy some older games this place isn't a bad place to check out. Just make sure you check the prices on stuff before you buy or sell anything here.

Positive experience: The guy behind the counter wasn't very friendly My son picked up a plushie to look at it and accidentally dropped it and the guy got mad. I wasn't too impressed with their selection either.

Positive experience: This store has a lot of nice displays and some rare titles, although I am a little underwhelmed by the amount of games on display. It could be due to the size of the store or the layout, but I felt like I was walking into a gallery of retro games and not a full game store. The wall of controllers/accessories is cool and the Nintendo Switch display in the middle is impressive, but everything else felt small in comparison. Overall this is a good store for rare game hunters, but not a good starting point for anyone looking to establish a large collection.

Positive experience: This is a pretty cool little shop. Like most vintage videogames stores they are a bit low on high end titles and flooded with cheap sports games. Overall it's a fun shop and I will keep checking back every time I'm At the mall.

Negative experience: Came here today to buy a gift for my husband and waited over half an hour before finally leaving. Sign on the door said “Be back in 10 minutes or less” guess they fell into a time warp or something. Won’t be coming back!

Fantastic experience: great place to shop for any retro games. even started to carry pokemon cards as well. was able to pull some pretty good cards from a etb I bought from them. all their games are amazing and well kept. they offer fair prices for stuff you bring in and for anything you buy from them. 10/10 will shop there any chance I can get.

Fantastic experience: This is the best game shop in the Vancouver Mall (or anywhere nearby), bar none. Especially if you like vintage kit (including full console sets, accessories, converters, and LOADS of classic game cartridges -- they even had VHSs and DVDs like an old-school Blockbuster! AND classic toys like ORIGINAL power rangers action figures!) The staff (and especially the owner) are also wonderfully helpful and kind, and just generally really sweet. Looking forward to coming back.

Fantastic experience: Very excited to see what comes from this store! Stopped in today and picked up a PS2 game and some VHS! Everything was well organized, fairly priced, and clean. They had exactly everything I was looking for and happy to avoid any internet shopping. Will be back! Just went back today and I got amazing service from the woman who was working behind the counter. The prices are the norm with retro gaming and to have a real video game store I can go to in person means a lot. Everytime I come in the stock has grown and I always find something to take home. Support a local game store and avoid Internet shopping!

Positive experience: I had a wonderful experience at this store. I hope to update my rating to five stars in the future, because I believe that there is real potential!! During my visit here, I was able to get the two things that I went in there for, that being an N64 Controller and an N64 Expansion Pack. Both of these items were priced competitively with other game stores around locally, so that was a pleasant surprise. I will say that their consoles seem to be priced a little lower than other local stores, so those may be worth checking out. I spent some time looking at their selection of games, which I felt was just a little bit thin for the amount of space that they have. One of my favorite hobbies is to collect and play incredibly cheap GB, GBC, and GBA games, which this store was unable to provide. This is not that big of a negative, since it is a pretty niche need, but having cheap bargain bins are always fun to look through and will keep me coming back. As of right now, the only thing that would keep me coming back over the other local game stores is the location. Since it is closer than the other options, it becomes a more convenient stop when I need something. Overall, the four star rating as of now simply means that this store is great, but has room for improvement. You can go here and find all sorts of retro gaming goodness at the convenience of being in a mall. I could see this store getting a five star rating if they had a better selection, which I hope they do at some point. Next time you are in the mall, stop by and take a look.

Negative experience: Overpriced. Dont accept any offers. Walked outside and ordered the games I wanted online for 30$ cheaper and sent to my door.

Negative experience: Went to get my son a plush toy. While looking at them my son touched a sonic and was promptly told to not handle the plushies that way. He literally just touched it to look at the back. Maybe you should post directions on how to properly handle them. Anyways we left to get it at another store in the mall. Can get the same thing at three places in the mall and get online cheaper. Won’t be back. Son never threw anything on the ground. Turned it around and it fell off the hook. When you mentioned to not treat them that way I had to think you were talking to someone else because all he was doing was looking and turning them to see the whole thing. Left a bad review because of bad service. Put a sign up not to touch if you don’t want people to touch. That would be fine and we would be out of line if we ignored it.

Fantastic experience: Found this place at the mall a couple months ago. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. Offers a good variety of N64, Switch, PS2 & PS3 games among other consoles. Would recommend this place to anyone who cares for retro gaming.

Negative experience: The guy that worked the closing shift on 11/22/2023 is a bad look for this business. Lousy attitude, low attention span to customers asking questions, very sidetracked on his phone often and terrible customer service. My wife found a couple movies she brought up to the counter after he rung up my item and he rolled his eyes and looked very inconvenienced that he had to adjust the sale on the computer to add the movies. Will not be supporting this business while he's on site.

Negative experience: If I could give zero stars it would be too many. After purchasing systems and games from this business I ended up never using them. I brought them into the store to be told that the condition was poor and they were too busy to handle any more trade-in. My suggestion would be to skip this store entirely and go to Game Stop, who purchased many of the items without any fuss. In a customer service industry they failed in every regard. If they had bothered to look at all, they would have seen that all their own stickers were on everything. Save yourself some time and go five doors down to the other game store.

I appreciated them not lowballing me. I picked up a few games including Resident Evil 7 which I am stoked to play on VR for the Halloween season.

Negative experience: I want to like this store I really do, but I was banned by owner for leaving a bad review. When I did shop this store, it was small and ok when the girl was working, but when the guy was working, it was unpleasant, guy was always in a hurry, did not even want to look at the games I had for sale, he just brushed me off and went to other female customers. When the girl was working she showed me family pictures, and was really helpful. She sold me 2 broken NES systems, and some used Funko's. Maybe they will sell to new owners so I can return? Who knows.

Fantastic experience: Small shop with a lot of any and all things video games. And then some. Was treated very well by the friendly, outgoing owner. It would appear that if it has ever existed in the gaming universe you can probably find it here. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Will def be back to see them again. Parking can be tricky but not bad Def worth the trip even if just for the trip down memory lane.

Fantastic experience: Cool store with a lot of selections! Come here often for anything I need for my Xbox. They have older consoles and games . I believe you can buy, sell, and trade games with them. Excellent selection of controllers, adapters, cables. Highly recommend them if you don't mind a previous used game or system.

Fantastic experience: I'm from out of town and love visiting local video game stores when in new places. Took my two young kids to Hidden Treasure Video Games and had a great experience. The owner is such a kind person. She was so nice to my son, who can be quite a little chatter box , but she took the time to talk to him and answer all of his questions. When I told my kids I was going to write a review for the game store, they both said "make sure you say that the owner was really nice" The store is clean and well organized, and they make good use of a small space. Good selection with reasonable prices. My kids have already asked if we can go back there next time we visit Vancouver.

Positive experience: Selection was alright. I had only visited once. They will not accept trade ins of game systems if you do not have the cords. This includes handheld systems too.

Negative experience: Was sold a xbox 360 that had disc tray issues also wasn’t reset when sold to me. Went to try to bring it back and he said he knew he sold it like that but wasn’t going to do anything about it. He doesn’t clean or fully reset anything he sells very unsanitary. Highly recommend any of the other video game stores.
