Positive experience: They got good stuff warhammer 40k and car collectors, would be alot cooler to have people who actually care and can test product at the center console I instead of have them not do anything butnits my opinion

Positive experience: I called on the phone talked to someone who told me they had a Sony ps4 game controller but when I got there they only had a off brand wired controller for $20 I bought it bc my son needed a controller now .Nice people that work there but a little upset about getting the wrong information .

Fantastic experience: Great video game store in Portland run by cool folks! Very helpful and friendly staff who genuinely want you to enjoy your visit. Parking can be cramped but the location is very accessible by public transportation. TOTL IS FOR THE PEOPLE

Positive experience: My first visit here was great, fast and simple repair on my Xbox Series 2 Elite controller. I needed my bumpers fixed and it was an overnight pick up next day. Then came the second repair - was having some stick drift and wanted to swap for hall effect sticks. They stated things would take some time while they had to order the hall effect components. I didn't mind waiting as I was needing this to be done. 3 weeks in the shop I get a call to come pick it up, drove over...and it was for someone else named Nick, not me. I was frustrated and they offered me a bit of a reduced price. I then went to pick it up when it was ready - they didn't get hall effects, just basic (not what I waited nearly a month for). Also...the sticks still drifted and it was like it never had a repair. I'm giving them 3 stars because they did offer me to bring this back in for an owner to look - but by this time I have no interest in ever going back here for anything.

Fantastic experience: My favorite and in my opinion the best TCG shop in all of Portland! The inventory isn’t always SUPER full however I find HEAT every single time I go. Only place that does over the counter trades and bulk boxes. 10/10 will be spending tons of money here.

Positive experience: Good inventory of retro games, 40k, some used board games, and various collectables. Also a TCG card room with Magic, Pokemon and One Piece. Tons of Magic bulk boxes to check out. Not much Pokemon sealed product but plenty of Pokemon bulk and singles binders to check out. Some of the friendliest staff in town! You can park in their small lot for free but frequently full.

Fantastic experience: Lucas was a great host and really helped me and my girlfriend learn about the One Piece card game. I had a question about a ruling and he came over and explained it cleverly and even taught me a little something after the game I can’t reveal here. Loved going and loved the shop! See ya again TOTL! Positive experience: It is a nice layout of a store with a decent selection. Prices are on the higher end which is really unfortunate. Additionally, for being the only one in the store during my visit... I was never welcomed in or acknowledged.

Fantastic experience: Was coming down from Washington and wanted to visit a couple of retro shops in Portland! TOTL was one of those shops! Lots to see here!!! From imported snacks and drinks, plushies, to classic games, original old console parts, and even aftermarket parts (custom buttons, rubbers, so on). I was humoured by the life scale of Snake. The prices were pretty high, but It was a worth while visit regardless!

Positive experience: Lovely store, welcoming environment from those of all walks of life. The only reason I can't give it more stars is the retro game prices are markedly higher. I don't mind paying a bit more at a brick and mortar store versus online, but I want my prices to be near market, not $20 above it.

Fantastic experience: I go here for my gunpla needs. They have multiple activities and have very inclusive events. The staff is knowledgeable and personable and fun to talk to. I'd recommend to any fellow gunpla fans to show up the first Saturdays where they have trade on to get first dibs on people's backlogged kits getting traded in before they hit the shelves and disappear as the month goes on as they tend to go fast. They also have a very interesting collection of games and consoles from generations of the past worth a gander at and they do repairs. I've never needed the service but they offer it and I'm not sure of another place in town that offers that. There's a discord group as well that the staff is prompt at responding to if you ever have questions for the store or want to be connected into the community of various TCGs or gunpla related people in the area. They've also got really cute plushies, guide books, knick-knacks and snacks from Japan as a cherry on top of all the other things I've mentioned. If there's a con at the convention center across the street from here and you've somehow read this far into my review because you're at one then you NEED to come check this place out! I'm incredibly biased but I think this is the best place in town. Specifically for gunpla but it's a vibe all around. Come check it out

Positive experience: First, the positives: The staff are very nice, the store is clean, there's a pretty good selection of games, including some great rare items, and the atmosphere is super welcoming. That being said, the prices are questionable and downright confusing sometimes. I was at 3 different stores today, and the prices here were definitely the highest. When I say questionable, I mean selling Elden Ring on PS5 for $80, when you can buy it brand new for $30 (and that includes either Bandai Namco logo), or brand new with DLC for $50. Just... really confusing pricing at times. The retro game prices weren't terrible, but definitely higher than the other two stores I visited. I'll definitely keep this on my list of stores to go to for maybe some of the more rare items, since their selection in that regard is quite good, but for the more "common" retro titles, might be better to shop around first.

Fantastic experience: What a fun and unique game store in Portland! I just started getting into Pokemon TCG and this is one of the few places in Portland that has packs in stock (and they aren't hella up charging like some other stores I've seen). A huge selection for retro video games - it was awesome to see so many different consoles and games that are decade+ old. Alongside that, their play area is huge! I can definitely see how fun it would be with events going on. I wish there was Pokemon events here, that's the only thing I would like to see. All the events were MTG, Warhammer or OnePiece related. Staff was super friendly and helpful, lots of good food and drinks options, and the space was welcoming. I recommend!

Fantastic experience: Very limited parking space, but the collection alone was worth it, was able to purchase the new 10th edition Death Guards Combat Patrol box for only $149, not to mention the vast non-table top collection.

Fantastic experience: peak game/card shop. highly recommend. moved to portland a year ago and this is by far my favorite card shop i've ever been to. i show up to their yugioh locals a lot and have met a bunch of great people and made friends! ^~^ chill and friendly staff as well!.. just wish they would stock japanese size oversleeves ;_;

Positive experience: The selection of games and snacks for most of the store is great! For cards, however, do not go here for Yu-Gi-Oh. They have a single bulk box and do not do trade-ins or buy cards. Not to mention, when it comes to Yu-Gi-Oh, they aren't very friendly. For pokemon and MtG, like many places, you're in good hands. But for friendly staff, I would recommend Gambit's in Lloyd center.

Negative experience: My son and I visited today hoping to buy some magic cards and a video game. While the video game section staff seemed friendly, our experience in the card area was disappointing. I used to frequent their old location and always enjoyed the cheerful, knowledgeable staff. However, the woman at the card counter today was the opposite – cold and unhelpful. I felt like I was bothering her with my questions. It took several follow-ups before she informed me that if I'm looking for a singles I'm going to need to look through the binder. Honestly, I decided not to buy anything before she passed me the binder. I politely pretended to browse the binder like I was interested in something before saying darn nothing here I need and my son and I left. I likely won't be returning for card singles. I would highly recommend guardian games which is not too far from this location South or Portland game store which is North. If you're looking for cards, the people in both of those locations are far more friendly and don't act like you are interrupting something more important.

Fantastic experience: TOTL always has a decent selection of gunpla kits. They also take trade-ins on unopened kits, so they get their hands on some pretty hard to find/out of print kits too. What sets them apart for me is how you can tell they care about the hobby. Some of the people I’ve spoken to there also build. Sure, you could go to a different hobby store and get the same kit but unless you are going to ask a question about RC cars, you are mostly out of luck. They also host build days every month which have been a great reason to get out the house and meet new people in the hobby.

Fantastic experience: Re-review! After settling into their new location they have really opened up the store. My interests are models and model accessories. Need something they dont have? Probably order it for you. And since they do trades you might find something rare or even out of print and you can trust that all the pieces are there. I'll keep updating the review if needed.

Fantastic experience: TOTL is my favorite game store in town! The staff are very friendly and helpful, the store hosts a lot of fun community events, and best of all, their selection is incredible. Despite being a video game store, I feel like I've personally spent way, way more money in their models section - because yes - they also sell Warhammer, Gundam, and other mecha model kits! My favorite part about this is that their model selection specializes in rare, out of print, or hard to find kits.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic and knowledgeable staff with a very welcoming space that has a variety of gaming, hobby, miniatures, and nerdy models in stock (If I haven't bought them out of gunpla that is). I would absolutely recommend the store to anyone.

Positive experience: Called and the store Said they stop Trade-Ins At 7pm. I busted down through horrible traffic and then paid to park (Made it there at 6:08pm) Wasted gas getting there (which is mostly what I needed trade in cash for) and got to front desk, slapped all my Classic N64 games Down (Goldeneye, StarFox, Blitz, Battletanx Etc. ) just to hear nope We Can’t do it today. Honestly the place was AWESOME inside, and when I first walked into store I was Hit with AMAZING NOSTALGIA and was ready to be a Return Customer but GameStop has people Beat with their trade in system and that’s Unfortunately where I have to go now as I would have preferred to do business with a smaller mom and pop shop like this one. Not overly upset just a minor Bummed out but I’ll definitely give them a second try as the place was Lit with Games, and had a Total Vibe of COME SEEK AND PLAY what your Heart Desires!! I’ll catch you Next time TOTL. ( This was my First Time ever being here, but have heard great things)

Fantastic experience: This store has a great inventory of games on the shelves, plenty of additional memorabilia and ephemera, and enough geeks behind the counter to keep your system running til long after you've displayed your own Red Ring of Death. However, they've also created a great community hub for gamers of all stripes, have plenty of friendly folk and a good variety of events. TOTL really embraces the character of "friendly local gaming store" and is totally worth frequenting.

Fantastic experience: Incredible selection, they have vintage video games going all the way back to the beginning AND chargers and cables for every hand-held console. There's also tons of video game paraphernalia like booklets, guides, and inserts. If you're a collector this is a great place to visit and it's conveniently located across the street from the convention center. There's also a tcg room in the back. All of the employees seem pleasant and knowledgeable.

Positive experience: What an awesome store. They have a huge range of things including GUNDAM model kits. Tools, video games, collectibles, cards, on and on and on. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Prices can be a high, even on currently printed kits. If you haven’t checked it out yet do yourself a favor and stop by!

Fantastic experience: TOTL is a great shop. There is a good Gunpla community. While I am not a part of that, I do go to the paint and build nights to paint miniatures. It is a great crowd. The owner is amazing, and makes sure that the staff is knowledgeable about the various range of products in some capacity or other. If you're new to One Piece TCG or need a retro video game selection, then you'll find someone at TOTL who can help.

Negative experience: Staff was polite, but I had a frustrating experience. Called ahead to confirm they'd buy my game. Drove 50 minutes to arrive at 7pm (well within the posted closing time of 8pm), only to learn they don't accept trades after 6:30pm. This policy isn't listed on their website, and the phone representative didn't mention it. Could have saved a long drive if this was communicated clearly. Consider calling to confirm current policies before making the trip.

Fantastic experience: I really love the vibe of this place, there's so many different things you can buy from consoles to books to music to televisions to japanese sweets to gundam model kits to art supplies. Oh, and this place sells a lot of great games too. The prices for rare games are higher than average when compared to nearby stores, but most of the common games are priced well. I really appreciated the cashier helping me get titles from the Xbox, X360, Dreamcast, PS3, and PS4. Every game came in great condition and I couldn't find any flaws with the discs. This store has an amazing selection and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to build up their collections.

Fantastic experience: An absolutely wonderful store! Not only does it have a fantastic array of games and hardware, including some really cool rare stuff, it also has a big selection of one-of-a-kind cartridges and novelties. I never thought I'd see two copies of Xenosaga Episode III or a Wonderswan Color in-person, and yet here they were. The thing I loved the most was the staff. Great conversationalists, clearly huge game fans eager to share their knowledge and excitement about all kinds of collectibles and consoles, and they even wore masks which was a great step in helping my friends and I feel safe. I ended up buying a Saturn controller and we had a great talk about aftermarket controllers and the Saturn in general, which was my idea of a good afternoon! Oh, and above all, the prices were all very reasonable. A gem of a store I'm glad I was able to visit while I was vacationing in the area.
