Fantastic experience: I went in at 1:00 and they were SLAMMED. There were a bunch of teens that came in out of nowhere, and then a Pokémon scalper who was trying to buy everything, and the two employees were so kind and so patient. HUGE SHOUTOUT to Lyn. I can’t remember the other employee’s, but they were both amazing so amazing and so so so patient.

Negative experience: The person who claims to be the assistant manager is very rude I’m definitely not coming back

Austin Jones Posted on Google 4 months ago

Fantastic experience: Lyn was awesome, even with extremely rude people posing as customers she still was helpful and didn't complain.

Positive experience: Its a game stop, lol

Jasmine Osterloh Posted on Google 5 months ago

Fantastic experience: I had a nice experience with the extremely nice young Asian lady, however there was much bigger lady with an undercut and she was very rude and unprofessional, and yelling at this young girl infront of customers over a misunderstanding. I think that she needs to be talked to because that was very hostile and looked alot like coworker abuse. Let's make sure your managers and stuff or older employees are treating their coworkers with respect. That was not a good look for game stop and what I believe was a manager or higher up. Do better big lady with the undercut.

Negative experience: I get that it's the employee's job to sell the pro subscription, but no means no. I went into purchase two games usually a pretty quick and easy experience anywhere else, we had what felt like a 10 minute conversation on why I should get the pro membership. The employee made me feel like I was stupid for not purchasing the subscription. Hopefully won't be visiting this gamestop again.

Negative experience: Rude service during holiday rush. Cashier complained that there coworker called out and we needed to understand that it isn't there fault. Didn't like to answer questions about any products they provided. Walked out after they asked are you gonna get it or not? I didn't even know what "it" does. Will not return to this location. First time in a game stop in years.

Jack Rockle Posted on Google 5 months ago

Negative experience: Sammie at the counter was very rude when I was trying to purchase a game. They had an attitude while I was asking about the quality of the reading side of the disc and they tried to slip in fees that she never asked about until after she put it the fees on and I said I don’t want them.

Negative experience: Why is everyone so rude?

Pups Vazquez Posted on Google 5 months ago

Negative experience: Awful experience while I was there the person working almost yelled at a usps driver, and while I was looking at the Nintendo switch games they cam over from behind the counter andtold me they were still working in that section and that I needed to move, very disrespectful experience. December 8th 1pm

Negative experience: Terrible service! They basically kicked us out of the store 1pm 12/8

Michiie Bee Posted on Google 5 months ago

Fantastic experience: I loved the manager they are on your side for sure! Totally coming back to this particular place just to hopefully run into this manager again. I felt not only safe too after they handled a ill situation in the store very courageously, I left with a game and I listened to their expertise and resulted with a very fair and good trade as well as sales! Again props to this manager as they are very nice and again felt safe in this store during an event that shouldn't have even occured but did. They kept things safe!! Not getting specific but ya, never been here before and left grateful and joyful too with the game I needed wanted and price I couldn't believe once I bought the pro membership on discount. Sorry for this rating to be so scrambled and long, just another happy customer in a new store and place. Good job

Positive experience: Staff here are rude and inconsiderate towards customers shop a different store.

Fantastic experience: The assistant manager had answered my call and was very knowledgeable and helpful. When I went into the store they remembered me, and quickly rung me up for my purchase. Great customer service!

David Hauge Posted on Google 6 months ago

Negative experience: Well today was the first time I went to gamestop in a while. And it'll probably be the last time I go to gamestop. You can go anywhere to get pokemon cards but GameStop will not sell them to you unless you have an account with them. And the store manager argued with me, saying I had to have an account to purchase pokemon cards.I can buy anything else but I can't buy pokemon cards without an account. So to gamestop, you're lucky that it was my daughter's birthday, and I wanted to get her what she asked for but I will never be buying anything from you again.

Fantastic experience: Tremendous thanks and gratitude to the person (I think the manager) who helped me today. I had recently purchased a pre-owned Switch OLED Pokémon version on-line. It arrived in a generic box with no packing material and one of the joy-cons was from another version. Went to GameStop hoping to just return it and get my money back. Also had purchased an extended warranty so was worried about that. The manager started to do the return, then told me they might have another one in stock and went to check if it was "complete". They came back with a box with all the official GameStop logos and tons of packing materials and sure enough it was complete. With a fair amount of technical computer work they were able to get me a new warranty too and exchange everything on the spot. You saved Christmas! Thank you!

Negative experience: I’ve never been to a store where employees at every location seem to hate their company—but with some of the crazy stories I’ve heard, I don’t blame them. On a separate note, I recently called one of the stores and asked why a game cost more used than the retail price at Walmart or Best Buy, and they said, “corporate greed.” I almost busted up laughing, because they’re not wrong.

Negative experience: Really pushy worker. No means no!

Rachael Hardman Posted on Google 6 months ago

Negative experience: The person who works here is always extremely rude! I don't understand what the attitude is about or why they act the way they do. They are pushy and act put out when you ask for help. It's like they are just trying to push me out the door. I have been a GameStop customer for years, but I don't like coming to this establishment because the trans employee is extremely rude and disrespectful. The manager should coach her on being nicer to customers so that they actually want to come back.

Matt Taylor Posted on Google 7 months ago

Negative experience: Deceitful practices. Sammie attempted to charge me for a protection plan on a game disc without my knowledge/consent, and then was rude when I caught it and had them take it back off. It's unfortunate that the store places so much pressure on the employees to meet their metrics, but stealing from me isn't the answer.

Paul Fuerstenau Posted on Google 7 months ago

Fantastic experience: Went here to get the Shiny Miraidon / Koraidon code and they gave it to me free no purchase required just like the promo said. Thanks to the employees at this store I was able to get my Shiny Pokemon.

Aaron-James Gomez Posted on Google 7 months ago

Negative experience: Employees shouldn't rant about politics in the store. Nobody wants to hear you cry about the president were here to buy games do your job please. The they / them at this store was very rude and I just kindly asked to buy a copy of starfox zero. Sheesh.

Griff Posted on Google 7 months ago

Negative experience: Went to buy a cheap headset and I wanted to look on the back of the box. Tried pulling it off the rack and didn't realize it was locked on. The person behind the counter gave me attitude about "trying to rip it off" and said that if I was patient they could remove it for me. I tried explaining that I just didn't know it was attached then they replied again with "well you can clearly see it's locked" while giving me attitude. No I couldn't. That's why I pulled on it for a *moment*. Instead I said nothing and left. Horrible store in need of a different manager.

Vada Jo Veter Posted on Google 8 months ago

Negative experience: Worst store! I went in looking for a game. I started getting help, but then employee (she/he) turned attention to someone else about touching a display. That customer said help customer in front of them (which thanks to them on my behalf) and things escalated quickly. She/her kicked them out but then completely ignored me even after customer left. I walked out. Worst experience in a game stop. All others are way better than this one.

Kayleb rivera Posted on Google 8 months ago

Fantastic experience: Valencia was a sweetheart and she is amazing and so helpful at explaining things to get a better understanding about whatever it is you need amazing customer service! but the other one was very standoffish and had a attitude problem and acted like she was in a hurry when there was only me and 1 other in the store and then intervened in a conversation we were having about a gentleman i called and right away she thought I was talkin about her, but other than that Valencia was hands down amazing!

Min Min Posted on Google 9 months ago

Negative experience: She was racist and didn't want to sell to me because I didn't know English, she talked about the rule that only allowed one person to buy $50 giftcards a day, I felt very disrespected.

Joey Nelson Posted on Google 9 months ago

Negative experience: Crappy GameStop selling used things as new. I've called hq about it 4 times and left 4 complaints under different names. They sold me two headsets within two days that were both defective and then the exchanged one was defective also.

Graham Willburg Posted on Google 9 months ago

Fantastic experience: Been in a few times. The staff is always pleasant. Especially Anna, Demi, and the one I really want to shout out today Sammie. Sam is great she always has an answer and if she doesn't will look it up. Today she had a rough couple who clearly had something against her. They seemed offended at her even breathing. They kept asking for stuff that was locked up one at a time. Sam kept going to get it with no issues. I even over heard her explain calmly that one of the items they wanted wouldn't work with the other item they were buying and it came with the part they were buying separately. They just wanted to fight it seemed.

Kate Evans Posted on Google 9 months ago

Negative experience: Worst game stop I've ever been to. The person working there today was incredibly rude and judgemental. Clearly trying to make me feel horrible for wanting to purchase a new copy of Hogwarts Legacy, and basically harrased me into not buying it. Guess I'll go get it at a different location. Also was very rude to my sister when she asked about making a return. Definitely don't go here!

kamari brown Posted on Google 10 months ago

Negative experience: Very rude and bad customer service

Carter Monroe Posted on Google 10 months ago

Negative experience: Deals haven't existed long at all within the franchise, or any singular location even. Sadly when there's a crew you like to see working, they go so quick. Gamestop is gamestop. I would say there's better locations but I guess that'd be a "to each, their own" situation. This specific one however is unique to holding the "mantle of mean mugging" because everytime I've been into this specific location (pardon me) no matter how many excessively loud people or even tweaks are ahead of me in line I'm always the one catchin some crazy cold stare as if I knew these people personally. Unfortunately I'd recommend anything digital or if you're looking for re-sale on something you may not want anymore (like disc) then also would recommend you go online. Gamestop fell, and hit the ground with seismic impact.

Frederick Galvan Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: I've had two terrible interactions at this store. The most recent one which happened a little while ago was over me calling and asking about a game. They say they have it and I go to the store. Before I'm able to buy the game the employee, Sammie, asks for my phone number. I tell her I'm not a pro member and she says it doesn't matter, that she needs it to "prevent fraudulent returns" I give a fake number because I know it's BS. Then she tells me she doesn't have the game in stock and that I need to leave. Okay, whatever. Just checked and she signed me up for pro account under the fake number! This store and it's employees are stealing your info to keep their metrics for their sales/bonuses/promotions. DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS STORE

Timmy Knepper JR Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: Do not ever go to this location. They are rude, condescending, and have no customer service skills what so ever.

gris kitkat Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Best gamestop in pdx, has always had anything I've been looking for and Sammie the manager is super knowledgeable and helpful

Marcus Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: Dude, highly recommend not going here. This store puts copies on shelves that aren’t in stock and will give false info about backwards compatibility. Monotone customer service and treats customers like a chore.

Pluto Yso Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: Honestly, one of the worst GameStop experiences I’ve had dealt with. The worker (possibly the manager) was rude and made me feel like I didn’t belong there. I asked about Xbox 360 games and much more for the console, and she said they didn’t have any, even though they were clearly on the shelf. It felt like I was being interrogated just for wanting to find older games, like I was being judged for not buying newer consoles or games, I didn’t feel welcomed at all. If you’re into older-gen stuff, avoid this location. They clearly don’t respect all types of people that comes into their store no matter what, A decade ago the older workers were very Nice and even gave me a Free poster as a Kid which was dope, but the vibe of the experience in this specific store Now just isn’t sitting right, they need to work on their attitude, this is why everybody doesn’t go to this location because it’s Bad business. Customer Service 1/10 experience 1-/10 everything feels Empty in there.

Leslie Mena Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: Waiting outside since 2am and this lady who seemed like the manager let someone buy 3 packs but yet let us only buy one and kept telling us to get back in line if we want more she was racist. Rude and had so much attitude she should be fired . Never going back

Jonathan Owens Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: There was a difficult situation at the store where there was an unruly customer that was very difficult and even insulted the Gamestop employee. Not sure of the Gamestop employee's name, maybe Sam?? She handled it very professionally. I was very impressed. This happened on 3/16/25 around noon. Love Gamestop!!!

Renn Whitley Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: I've been to this Game Stop several times and I always have the best interactions with the staff, especially the manager, Samantha. Had a great and easy time trading in my old PS5 for a PS5 Slim and couldn't be happier with the service and cleanliness of the store.

Leonela A. Martinez Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: Possibly manager, as other reviews have mentioned same employer possibly racially profiled my partner and I as we were looking at an item. She/they demanded the item we were looking at that they probably assumed we had pocketed, we showed them the item which to be clear was a $2 clearance item, we then responded by informing them that we were still looking at the item, they then proceeded to say they would stand right in our bubble space until we were done, which seemed very odd but I guess guarding that $2 item was very important to them. Not sure what made this manager/employee think we had any interest in stealing such a thing, but we hope this person finds the peace they desperately need.

Negative experience: I went in the other day the manager was working. I was trying to buy jump force for xbox one and another game. Manager was extremely rude to me and several other customers.

Negative experience: Avoid this location. The staff isn't helpful, they'll probably just judge you, or hate on eachother. Best to avoid this place like a disease.

Dustin Treece Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: Tried to call to ask if they had any magic cards in stock so I could swing by and buy a couple. The employees straight up hung up on me without a word and when I tried to call back thinking that I made the mistake and hung up, they refused to answer their phone. A simple yes or no would have sufficed but hey do whatever you want. It's not like it's my job.

Tristen Gerber Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: I had been to this location twice to trade some games and a PS4 that I no longer have use for. Both times, the supervisor on shift was extremely rude and unprofessional and made me very uncomfortable. Their tone and attitude made it clear I was being judged for trading in my things and they even made a couple remarks to their employee on my second visit. Furthermore, I watched them repeatedly chastise and put down the employee in front of customers. Their treatment toward them was completely unacceptable. Poor girl looked like she wanted to cry. While they were in the back room, I could hear them slamming things. I would give them the benefit of the doubt and say maybe they had a bad day. However, not only was this the second time, but when I told the employee she shouldn't have to deal with that treatment, she said I wasn't the first person to say that. I definitely will not be returning here.

Alexa Kennedy Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: NEVER I mean NEVER work with Sammy from this location. She seems like she’s a manager at this location but continued to degrade the other employee in front of everyone in the store while the other employee was working on the floor, constantly helping customers, and doing her best to help each customer that came in with what they were looking for. Sammy was hiding in the back. Every time Sammy came out on the floor from the back all she did was talk how bad the employee was (which she clearly was not) and how hard her life was because she had to come in 2 hours earlier now because all the employees. Yes, that does suck, but really? You’re going to blame the other employee in the store because it’s a waist of your time?! Don’t be a manager if you can’t handle the position. She is not your punching bad. No matter how bad your life is Sammy you should not treat people like that. Not ever in my life have I seen someone treat someone else with such disrespect as I saw what Sammy did to this employee. I feel sorry for the girl working there. I don’t normally write reviews but I felt like I need to share this with anyone going to this store in the future.

Negative experience: The supervisor there did not make me feel comfortable today. The other comments are spot on I will take my business elsewhere

Robert Sanchez Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: Stay far away from this location. One of the workers was very helpful, while the other, who appeared to be the manager was crazy rude. The one nice worker was asking the rude manager for help, instead of helping her, she ridiculed the other employee, while inferring I would steal the item I was interested in. This was after she looked me up and down, and saw the color of my skin. I was also checking in with them on their price match policy and their response changed so much every question I asked where it appeared they wanted every reason to deny a price match. I understand not price matching third party, but excuses increased to keep saying no. Super rude and super shady. Don’t come here, place is a mess too. For as many bad reviews, for what looks to be the same rude bad supervisor, I am surprised she still works there. First and Last time I visit this store, and I have been a pro member for years.

Negative experience: Absolutely disgusting! The Teller at 12:45 on Sunday 08.11.24 helped me today. I handed him a $20 dollar bill folded for a switch SD card. As I passed him a folded $20 bill he told me it was uncourteous to give a folded $20 bill to a teller. I've worked in retail for 20 years. NEVER have I said that to a another person! I'm disgusted. HIS nonchealent attitude was horrible. The demeanor the was given ( just checking out) was hospitable. I will never come back here. I. Sorry to the shop owner who thought this was a good hire! Absolutely disgusting!!!

Frozen Realm Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: We where there on the afternoon of the 4th of August. First of, the manager was being really nasty to the young clerk taking care of the cash register. Second of, the promo on the shirts was shaddy, they where not properly labeled or placed, so we ended up paying more for them. This was not our biggest problem tho. When we got to the place we where staying and check on the shirts, they still had the ink alarm on them. If the manager wasnt being so mad towards that kid he could have attended to us in a better way. So basically, we ended up paying 35 bucks for 2 shirts that we now have to see how we can take the ink alarm without ruininng them.

Idris Ryán Posted on Google 1 year ago

Positive experience: slowest service I've seen at one of these locations,, also the guy working behind the counter wasn't very friendly, and seemed genuinely confused about reality and how to properly communicate with people.

Luis Alonso Rivera Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: This occurred on the date of the review: A person in line near me was cussing like a sailor in casual conversation, and the clerk refused to serve anyone near him despite us having waited upwards of 10 minutes for the (singularly-staffed) counter to finish up with a trade-in. I understand wanting to provide and maintain a kid-friendly environment, but kicking out random clientele near your "problem" customers isn't a great way to keep business.

Kai Crist Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: I visit many GameStop stores frequently. This was easily the most unwelcoming and cold store I've been to. I got the normal can we help you with anything up on walking in. I looked at a couple Xbox games and walked over to the PS3 section and picked up a couple games opened the cases to check for manuals as I prefer to have them. Upon closing a game I immediately got a can we help you with anything a bit more assertive this time around after saying no I'm just looking and moving onto the Wii section an employee jumped out from the counter and grabbed the game I just picked up making me feel rather uncomfortable. Almost as if the can we help you with anything was an accusation of stealing. Easily one of the worst times being in a GameStop bar none.

Aki Mardon Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: Terrible service, rude, dismissive, and wouldn’t even look at me for the trouble. Go to another store if you can.

Tony Huynh Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: I don't normally write reviews. This Gamestop is close to where I live so it's normally my go-to. Has been a solid place throughout the years, but my recent experience today annoyed me. Swung by to pick up a game that I've been eyeing for a while. The game was available, simple enough. What should have been a simple transaction turned into a long five minutes of me standing there listening to a sales pitch that I wasn't interested in. I get that the associates have to pitch the GameStop rewards program. But pitching it once, maybe even twice, should have sufficed. This person went on about five times, and each time I would have to politely decline. Towards the end of the transaction, the person essentially shamed me for not opting into the program because the data shows that I would have saved an astounding $6 for the year. Really wanting to end this miserable interaction, I tried to pay for my game ASAP and hit the "price looks good" button on the card reader... Except in the back of my mind, I was asking myself, "When did Oregon have a sales tax?" In the midst of listening to this person go on and on about the Gamestop rewards program, they quietly tacked on a $3.99 game warranty for me. Without my consent. But because I wanted to end the conversation asap, I just hit the green confirmation button. Of course, I know if I ever brought this up to that person, I'm sure they would counter with "Oh, well by hitting the green button, you confirmed that the price was good! Can't complain about that, you idiot!" Heh, guess I'm the fool here. Maybe I should have accepted the membership cost of $20 per year so that I could have saved $6 to offset the quiet $3.99 warranty charge. The store itself isn't bad. It's a small place like most Gamestops. It's usually pretty clean. However, this interaction made me question my relationship with Gamestop. The store associate I worked with today did NOT lend to a pleasant experience. At the very least, if I ever see this person in the store, I do not plan on conducting business with them. And I hope to whoever reads this, you might as well drop me a thumbs up. Because that's a good consolation prize for the real possibility that this associate is going to reach out to my cell phone (without my consent) to tell me I'm wrong. Seriously, this person had that energy. So by writing this review I am risking my own safety. (And if you are the associate that happens to be reading this, please notice that I have not identified you in anyway. I would have enjoyed the transaction if you weren't pushy and shaming me for declining something I've been able to live without my whole life. I humbly ask you in advance, please leave me alone.)

Negative experience: I had a couple extra games from awhile ago so I was going to trade them in. The employees were not friendly not fast and not helpful. They even deducted some of the cash I was getting cause something was defective… there was sticker glue on the product. Was crazy to me!

Julius Warswan Posted on Google 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: Amazing employees. Always friendly. Feels like an old school hangout. Just a great gamestop.Area is dangeroys..try to park right in front if store and look around when leaving with a purchase. If you do any craigslist business..dont do it in front of this store as people use it as a set up to rob you.

Fantastic experience: Super friendly and super patient. Absolutely professional, I wish my GameStop at home was this awesome.

Mario skoro Posted on Google 2 years ago

Negative experience: I usually don’t write reviews but avoid this place like the plague, your better off going to Fred Meyers next door. Bought a copy of the new call of duty which was brand new and unopened. Decided I no longer wanted it and would return it a few days after I got it. Went to the store and the person working behind the counter gave me an attitude and said that I couldn’t return my unopened game then she proceeded to tell me that the last associate Anna was supposed to tell me that all sales are final which is the exact opposite of what the receipt says and what she had told me. Definitely wasn’t like that beforehand when I use to shop there frequently. Reason I shopped there to begin with is to support the dying company but won’t anymore because the employees are clueless. Went to a different location and returned it where the employee knew what they were doing. I’ll be rejoicing when they close doors at gateway.

Federico Govea Posted on Google 2 years ago

Negative experience: Horrible customer service, spoke to someone named Blair. Called to ask simple questions about canceling an online order my daughter placed. Blair quickly became rude and just hung up.

R M Posted on Google 2 years ago

Negative experience: Gotta say... for a store holding on to dear life due to becoming a symbolic meme stock you'd think they try a bit harder. Went to trade in a system and had the manager take off 50% for a "deep clean" being needed. The machine was as good as you can expect an old console to be. It really felt like it was too close to closing and they just didn't feel like handling it. Photo attached for the community to decide. Explains the reason all of the hedge funds were shorting them. Maybe other locations are better.

Negative experience: Went in to purchase this game for my kids and found this to be an awful place Casher tried to stick a 4$ charge on my bill and not say anything When I pointed this out she attempted to in insist that it was necessary to purchase the game as its there policy And it covers loss and damage and returns.... No matter how many times I said I did not want it she continued to presist I needed it I nearly didn't buy the game I will 100% not be returning to ANY game stop again I teach my kids to take care of their things or they won't have them So I'm 100% ok with no warranty

Negative experience: My husband and I went in two days ago to sell a game console. A young girl that was working the counter looked up to see what we would get to sell our console. She told us what we would get for the console. We forgot the hdmi cable and told her we would be back. Two days later we came back in to sell console with our hdmi cord and spoke to same girl and she said she doesn't remember talking to us and won't buy our console. Acted like she she didn't talk to us and threatened to call security on us after we told her she was not being honest with us. I won't ever go back to that game stop again due to dishonest employees that give out false information. The store states they buy and trade console but they false advertise they need to be specific in there signs and not hire dishonest employees. So don't waste your ime or gas in trying to sell or trade your console because they don't live up to what they say.

Negative experience: I'll attach a photo but this girl sat there looked at a headset I wanted to return 4th one in 10 days by the way. And said well you see this hair I can't return it. I said what hair?! She pointed at a random spot I grabbed the imaginary hair and said see no hair. She insisted on not returning it. Makes me ecstatic that they're going out of business... Can't happen soon enough.

Negative experience: Been to many of the gamestops and this is one I'm never going back to. Took my game console to go trade in and the lady helping me, unlike other gamestops, where they try to get you the best deal possible, started charging me for absolute non sense. OLED console trade in price was $170, but according to her, my joycon seem to be worn and she was able to determine it was a problem without wiping it or testing it out. Wasted of my time driving from Wood Village to this place. Ended up going to my normal gamestop on 82nd and got a better deal. It's not hard to tell honest people from crooks. Worst of all when I ask to talk to someone in charge, she claim she was the only one there. Some people should associate with customers, this employee was one of them.

Positive experience: They are always really slow here. This isn't a knock on the workers they were l very good. Tonight, they were swamped and extremely friendly and doing everything they could to go fast, but they had too many things they were checking or asking to sell you something. Do you have a membership? Oh, let me tell you about it. Are you sure it's not something you would like to do? I'm sure this is taught by some corporate trainer who isn't working in a store full of people, and they are held to a stupid number to show they are always asking. It is fantastic when corporations like this one that is on its way out stick to old ways of doing business over just making sure they offer the best possible customer service and product people want.

Negative experience: The employee was very rude today won't be coming back there.

Negative experience: I Preordered a game I PAYED 200 DOLLARS FOR IT and they sold all the copies to the walk ins ON DROP DAY, and it’s been 5 days since drop day, and they say they don’t know when more will come in still and it’s like what do I get for the wait? Nothing. This has been my worst GameStop experience ever. I’m never going to that GameStop again.

Negative experience: Worst experience at this store 08/11/2022 @ approx 8:30 pm Problem: sales associate Making a formal complaint. Horrible customer service. I called before hand and had the game selected set aside for pay and pick up. Upon arriving, I was refused the opportunity to buy the kids game for my child due to not wanting to purchase any additional rewards. I was forced to listen and told that it was required. When I told her I was not interested but just wanted the game, my child and I were asked to leave and the associate prevented me from buying the game. Game we wanted to purchase: Toy Story 3 Price: Approx $30 +

Negative experience: Buying a game from here is like buying a used car from a sketchy dealership. First she asked if I’d like to pay money to sign up for some subscription. I said no. She then proceeded to tell me about the service. I told her, “I said no.” She then told me that she had to give me the whole spiel, so I stood there and listened as she continued to explain how I would save money in the long run and how “I’m pretty sure I’ve seen you in before, so it would have paid for itself by now.” I told her I’ve never been in this GameStop before. When she rang me up, it was $3 more expensive than the box. She had bundled in some sort of “service protection” without asking me, and I had to catch it in order to not be charged more. Whichever manager or regional manager is responsible for this “don’t take no for an answer” hard-sell approach is shooting themselves in the foot.

Positive experience: Clean store, friendly staff, and wide variety of items. Brought a junior high boy, he was excited about the previously owned controllers, apparently they were a good price.

Autumn Steier Posted on Google 4 years ago

Positive experience: Good place to get games at an affordable price but don't let them push you to pay for extra stuff you don't need. Like warranties or a screen protector for your Nintendo switch. Saw an employee talking a woman into getting a warranty for her switch controllers when I've had the same ones since the Nintendo switch came out and they're perfectly fine without a warranty. Just trying to save you all some money!

Fantastic experience: I just had such a great experience in here. The associate who helped me was so kind and knowledgeable.Taller man with dark hair and glasses.Good customer service goes a long way, I will only come here now to shop for my gaming needs.

Negative experience: The hours say they are open at 10am. There's people inside but haven't given a single look at the door or the people including myself waiting outside. Ridiculous and very unprofessional. They need to update the hours or something. This is wasting peoples time and losing money. Also need to re. Evaluate their employees and perhaps get some that actually care about their job.

Marvin Hargett Posted on Google 4 years ago

Negative experience: Terrible. Went into this store as a last ditch effort to get some gas money by selling one of my brand new xbox controllers and stayed damn near an hour only to be turned away because they have a fingerprint scanner that’s all chipped up and broken. Only one of the employees was able to play with it and get his fingerprint to work but nobody else could including myself. It literally took him several times. They also have a policy that if it doesn’t work within a couple minutes then they turn you away. So, unless you have perfect fingerprints or go to a location where their pad isn’t all jacked up and scratched up on the surface then you’ll be SOL tryna trade or sell any games. Welcome to Portland, plagued with poverty, so they set up foolish obstacles to prevent any of us that aren’t rich from getting ahead in any way. Awesome.

Positive experience: They dont answer their phones. I drove over 5 miles just to see of someone was there.

Devin “Devin” Hosking Posted on Google 4 years ago

Positive experience: Wow I havent been in a game stop in many years. Going back for my son not my self it was wierd seeing that the sections for used cames has changed with gaming changing also. I did how ever get my son a switch game and remote. He broke his arm recently and we needed to see if a different remote fit his hand. The employee helped us find one that worked well. This is the plus side of going in person and not online. Very helpful will go back again.
