Negative experience: Gamestop is a shady company. Bought a Playstation portal less than 6 months ago, BRAND NEW. With warranty, go to exchange it at my primary store they tell me they have to see if any of the other stores in area have a used 1 before they can give me a new 1. So I drive to the other 1, exchange it for this garbage used 1, they take my brand new box and give me a garbage cardboard box, open it the system is dusty as hell. Not to mention having to pay for a new screen protector and another warranty. I will be buying ALL of my systems from best buy from now on. Gamestop and its employees are all weirdos and shady as hell.
Negative experience: The short boy that works there was disrespectful And not helpful at all I just wasted my time there not only that they send me in another store that it’s permanently closed.

Negative experience: Fernando charged me for a PRO account with out my knowledge. I asked him why the subtotal is so much. He said because of "tarrifs". He Instructed me to press "yes" and "no" on keypad. No clue what it was about. I looked at my receipt and saw I had been charged, went back to ask for a refund and he said there was nothing he could do about it.

I call back to this sorry location and now my account is good but no more time to return . Place is trash ran by some weirdos

Negative experience: The employee told me that a pro membership would give me $25 off on the switch 2 bundle paying for itself so there was "no reason" not to get it. That was a lie. I only got $5 off and then another $5 off for a monthly reward I have 0 plans to ever visit gamestop again so they blatantly lied to me to get this sale.
Negative experience: Limited on what you can purchase in store with out a paid membership that's 25 dollars. Don't waste your time buy online. First and last time stopping in to gamestop

Negative experience: I go in game stop today and I walked up to the counter and told the guy name FERNANDO. That i wanted to turn in my PS4 Controller as credit towards a pre-Owned controller. And he picks up the controller with an attitude, then sets it down hard and tells me. "You can't trade this is in. Because it's missing the rubber off the joy stick. I said you guys used to take broken controllers. And he says yeah we do but this, And he takes his pointing finger and rolls the joystick on the controller all crazy and says this is broken. I said what do you mean it's broken? He said the rubber is gone off the joy stick and it's supposed to have one like this one does and he rolls the other joy stick and talks to me like I was trash. I grabbed my controller and walked out. Very very disrespectful You don't treat customers like that at all. IM GOING TO CORPORATE!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Let me tell you something, I had already made a stop at another location and after a valid denial of a return on a pair of headphones, I went back to the original store, the one I had purchased the headphones at the day before and was greeted by a gentleman named Matthew. See, what I didn’t know, and this was after I just got done complaining about the service I got the day before was, that Matthew was the man I had been dealing with.** what I’m trying to point out is that this man not only took what I had to say with a genuine ear, continued to be hospitable( while I ran my mouth), opened the store when it was clearly closed, excepted my apology (didn’t have to) when I realized that it was just me having a bad day yesterday and it had nothing to to with this man at all, (need to check my head space). Matthew worked with me still, and went above and beyond with the level of costumer service he provided and my hat is off to this man for how he presented himself the whole time. He didn’t have to help me but he did anyway. Definitely return here for future purchases

Fantastic experience: Just had the absolute best encounter with a manager today while my daughter and picked up a new game. Every single time we come in my daughter is offered free swag from the game she is receiving and it makes the whole experience so much better than buying online. When my kids see a GameStop they want me to pull over just like when they see the Golden Arches. Thank you GameStop, and thank you to the manager today (she had super blue eyes, didn’t catch her name) for being a solid place in the community to buy games and to have an awesome experience while doing so. Negative experience: Gamestop is a bad place to find collectibles. I pre ordered something online and it was sent and sold at another store and is no longer available for purchase. Should have just went to the scalpers instead of wasting my time at Gamestop.

Negative experience: I come at 6:15pm and there’s a “be back in 30 minutes” sign on the door I waited for no less then 5 minutes and a lady comes out and starts locking it behind her, so I ask her how much longer and that I wanted to do a phone trade in. She tells me that she’s not working (cash in hand probably just cleared the register of the big bills) and says a man her employee will be back in about 15 minutes. I wait another 25 minutes it’s 6:50 when he comes out of pizza patron and starts unlocking the door doesn’t acknowledge that I’m even their leaning against the pillar and goes in and locks the door 2 minutes later he comes out there’s now 3 different people waiting and one the guys is like how much longer “25 minutes from now he says” and starts walking away and I’m like yo I’ve already been waiting for over 30 minutes doesn’t acknowledge me and walks back to the pizza patron comes out 3 minutes later pizza in hand and is like what do you guys “want and I can tell you if I have it.” The other guys go and then I say I want to do a trade in for my iPhone 13 Pro Max. And he says “ my touch pad on the machine isn’t working I can’t do trade ins” really you’re manager that just left wasn’t made aware of that? Waste of time hate this location it’s always something here I live 4 blocks away I like the closeness I can ride my bike faster then I can drive my car there most of the time with the traffic but seriously get your store together. Buy a new engenico lane 5000.
Fantastic experience: I ordered an Xbox online for my friend and there was some complications with the pickup person after purchase. Matthew Stepped in and gave me the proper number Of who the Contact And we Got It all worked out. Thank you again matthew for your patience ,cooperation and guidance and how to handle this properly and get a result.
Negative experience: I have Been to this location many times and as of today Nov 3, 2023 this is now the 4th time this store has been locked up earlier than posted closing hours, while an employee can clearly be seen standing inside the store. The time was 7:46 pm. Enough time surely to buy 1 game in which I already had picked out prior to coming. I called the store 3 times. The employee ignored the calls each time. Finally I knocked on the front window to get the attention of said employee to which I was met with them looking at me and just shaking their head and gesturing me to go away. I will not shop here ever again.

Negative experience: I own Gamestop stock so giving them a negative review does not happen lightly...But I went in to buy a $20 dollar steam card...The clerk was friendly enough and said there was a problem with the physical cards but he could do it easier on the register...My gut said no but it was serious request of a close friend of mie...Bought it and UT had already been redeemed...After work the next day went in and was told there was nothing they could do so quickly knew something was off but I just threw in the towel 20 was not worth the headaches I could see looming...

Negative experience: So I pre-ordered a Pokémon go elite trainer box Dragonite I pre-ordered it almost a month ago on a special that you guys are doing buy one get one I go to pick them up from the store and the store manager gives me issues saying that that’s not what the promotion was even though that’s the only reason why I bought it You guys are going bankrupt an this type of situation is not going to help your company promote fake sales and then when people come in to get their items it’s incorrect and they don’t want to give you what you paid for that is not right I got my refund and I left the store but if your store managers don’t even know their own promotions maybe they shouldn’t be managers just saying
Negative experience: I went in the store on 9/22/22 Nicole was behind the counter didn’t greet me and was on the phone talking about non work related things. Took her 10 mins to even notice after waiting, I placed my controller that I had a 1yr warranty on the counter, she was very rude to me while asking for my address was very Condescending and she didn’t ring up my controller grips after I placed them on counter and rudely said “see yuh”…. I have came into this game stop a lot and the lady’s are very nice but Nicole was very rude, Don’t think I’ll return here any time soon.
Fantastic experience: I brought in my old PS4 today to sell since I now have a PS5 and it's just sitting on a shelf. I was assisted by Flash. When we were finishing my transaction it turned out that my total trade in value was more than the money in the til. After a few brief moments he was able to get the total amount to me while he was juggling other customers coming in for a variety of items and callers. 10/10 will be coming back to this location and hope to see Flash again.
Negative experience: If you have an accessory on display. You think they would have it in stock. Well not this place. I chose the item because of the price. I was told it was for "marketing purposes". Sounds like b.s. to me. If you don't have it. Don't display it. Been at this location a couple of times now. Customer service is lacking.
Negative experience: Don’t go to this GameStop. One of the employees takes advantage of customers that are in need of advice and guidance. Charlene sold my friend a wireless controller, it started drifting, and her husband tried to bring it back. Charlene then swindled him into buying a wired controller and told him it was a wireless, rechargeable controller and was a good deal in exchange. Charlene’s coworkers openly admitted that she does this constantly and no one does anything about it. As a former GameStop employee, this is unacceptable. You are there to help others further or begin their love of gaming and other technology. She shouldn’t be taking advantage of those that need assistance. If something doesn’t sell well, that’s just retail. You don’t go and lie to get it sold. Especially if it is the exact opposite of what someone was looking for. Shame on you Charlene. Shame on you GameStop for allowing this.
Negative experience: Charlene (whom I assume is a manager) sold my friend’s husband a danky controller and lied saying it was wireless when it was ACTUALLY WIRED! I used to work for GameStop, this isn’t acceptable. I get y’all need to get rid of things, but lying is where you drive business right out the window because the moment you lie to them or tell them they’re getting something they AREN'T actually getting, that customer will not come back. Or- even worse, they’ll rightfully get upset and either report you or tell their friends and family and it’ll be much worse for the stores reviews and sales. Do better Ms. Charlene. We get there are those who don’t fully grasp what they’re purchasing and you’d like to try and sell them something you need or want to sell, but it’s scummy, alright? Those who aren’t sure what they want for their kid or just aren’t entirely aware of the gaming world, maybe get somebody else working to help you and hopefully they’ll be honest with you. Or go to another location.
Positive experience: My husband likes this place and really all Game Stops are pretty much the same. Their stores are all kinds small and cramped. You don't want to be in one when there is a lot of other people in there or you might feel claustrophobic. But,the one and maybe only thing that is different from location to location is the "used games and game stations,etc. that they have since its all based on what people come and sell to them. All the employees have been very polite and helpful. I like that they all are very knowledgeable in games and everything that goes along with them. If they happen to not know the answer to your question,they don't hesitate to ask a fellow employee whom always seems to have the correct answer. I like that game stop employs people who are into what they sell. Update: I still think the same about this GameStop. Today we just took in some old games and an controller that we never used and they only took like 2 of the games and the controller since it was fairly new and unused but we only got like $18 for all of it. Which was okay since we needed the cash like super bad. GameStop is just like any other place. They have their good days and their bad days but they mostly have good days....

Negative experience: I'm not sure if this game stop is the one I'm talking about but there is this lady that works there, her name is Emmy and she helped me with everything that I needed. On the contrary another game stop has this dude that was getting all upset because I was asking him to help me.
Negative experience: Went in to pick up a copy of a preordered game I did employee states they don’t have anymore. What’s the whole point of doing a preorder and reserve your copy if they are going to end up selling it. Employee stated that customers only have 48hrs to pick it up it hasn’t been the 48hrs yet to lose my preorder. Very unprofessional. Will be taking my sale to a competitor.

Fantastic experience: July 24th: The team member working the morning shift on this day was more than awesome. I had an item return under warranty and he was extremely informative and helpful. I was able to browse the store while he filled out his paperwork for the item and made very useful suggestions such as being able to find some titles easier on the website. Yesterday, I ordered of the website the first time and found several used titles I wanted to catch up on.
Negative experience: Staff was rude to me and my boyfriend. Seemed like.he was upset with having to work and do his job. Once he found out that we wanted to buy a PS4 he went thru the whole "All GameStop locations are sold out" talk.. didn't apologize for the inconvenience or suggest when they may be back in stock. He was more happy he didn't have to work anymore since we were leaving. I will never go back to that location.
Fantastic experience: I wish for the absolute life of me I could remember the man's name that was working. He was absolute amazing. You could tell he enjoyed being there, or was at least very good at pretending. Either way an absolute joy to work with... and patient.

Negative experience: Literally gave jesse 8 games to check and see if they had them available, None was in Stock from 10 dollar game to 60 dollar games on Switch. Ended up not buying another i want physical copy. And the customer service there was below average in my opinion wont come here again

Negative experience: The associate lied to my face today, I went to return a remote controller I purchased a week ago(Unopened), and he told me I was a day past my time frame. He said I had only 7 days to return when in fact it is 30 days. He also told me to "open the box and take it to a different Gamestop and tell them its broken to get a full refund". I spoke to Patrick over at the Bell Rd location and he is legit and knows how to represent a store/company. Btw this was 09/11/2020 @1:10pm.
