Fantastic experience: Called trying to locate a few classic games in the valley. Zack was very polite and incredibly helpful.

Negative experience: I had called before hand to ask if the store was open til and they had told yes. As I come in there close to 8:15 the associate Michael had asked if I was trading in a ps4 I said yes. He says with an attitude well I’m not doing trade ins at 8:30. I can see if I had been rude or anything but was just trying to trade it in and maybe buy some games. I highly recommend don’t come here especially with that associate. You don’t go and be rude to ppl especially when I was nice off the bat.

Fantastic experience: Very helpful & friendly staff.

Negative experience: I tried returning an unopened figure that I initially planned on giving to someone as a gift. Reason being is that after purchasing, I realized that the item was a lot lighter than most others that I’ve held before. It didn’t specify the size of the figure anywhere on the box, so out of curiosity, I looked up the measurements and realized that even though the box is 7.5 inches, the figure was only 2 inches tall. If I had known that, I would’ve never bought the thing at all. Mind you, this cost me $34.90. $34.90 for a tiny, keychain-sized figure that came in a box with like 80% extra space inside? Incredibly misleading, and I was immensely disappointed. Obviously I went to return it, which the receipt I got clearly stated that I’m eligible for. But the problem with my figure isn’t what I’m writing a review to this GameStop for. Upon arriving, I spoke with a manager named Zach, who was no help whatsoever. He immediately came off as rude and disrespectful just by his attitude alone. He cut me off before I could explain, refused to even look at the box or receipt, and flat out said “no.” He claimed there was no way in his system to process the return — but when I called another GameStop, they helped me without hesitation. He made me feel as if I wasn’t even worth listening to. If he had simply explained things kindly, I would have probably accepted it. Instead, he talked to me as if all he wanted was for me to leave. Afterward, I checked the reviews and wasn’t surprised to see many others reporting the same kind of behavior from him. This is clearly a pattern, and it reflects very poorly on the company. I truly hope corporate takes this seriously and addresses how Zach treats customers.

Negative experience: Do not go here! The employees are so disrespectful, especially Zach. He was rude and not helpful in any way

Fantastic experience: This gamestop is amazing they care about me when a special edition steelbook game is released and I preorder a game like silent hill f they set aside the steelbook for me or if a new Transformers figure is in stock they set it aside for me Michael, Zach, Zachery, and Alyssa are amazing staff and I will always per-order games from them I can not wait for Resident evil Requiem to be up for preorder as soon as it is i will be going in person and preordering it thanks all staff for providing amazing customer service. And look forward to going back again.

Negative experience: Stupid employees making up rules on PSA submission in this location. Don't go here! I did my submission last time here now they are requiring me to put it on a ridged ULTRA PRO brand! Lol i just left. Employee busy watching their movies on the clock.

A Z Posted on Google 8 months ago

Positive experience: Nice discount on preowned games though some were out of stock. They also sell some a small assortment of plushie toys- not much variety though. Super crowded and busy, and it was hard to get in and out. Accessible entrance and accessible parking mall-front.

Negative experience: Today August 23rd came to the Game stop as usual. I wanted to buy 1 box of Pokemon cards and ZACH was trying to make me buy a membership to be able to buy it. I told him I didn’t need to buy one and he kept on saying I needed to purchase. I had to call the customer service at Game stop to make sure since I know well I don’t need to. They sent me an email advising to show him that I’m not required to buy a membership to buy stuff. I went back and basically argued to him that he needs to do a better job of giving false information. They did sell me the item . Very rude and not professional to explain that just needed an email for account to prevent all the scalping. This women just trying to get a box for my 6 year old.. it made be very upset and gave me a hard time! They prefer losing sales if people don’t buy the membership or maybe they waiting on “scalping friends “ ugh.

Fantastic experience: Great store with lots of inventory!

Cold Fireball Posted on Google 8 months ago

Negative experience: Cashier told me to stop looking at the Mario items that were on the floor. I would understand if they weren't available she could've told me they weren't for sale. But her words were and I quote "Do you guys need help or anything? Because you are rumaging through the items and you have no idea what's it for. She made me cry.

Fantastic experience: The guys here were awesome. I haven't been to this one until today because they were across town for me, but they had the red PS3 controller I wanted.

BreAnna Lee Posted on Google 11 months ago

Negative experience: Anytime I’d call or go in to ask a simple question whether it’s for stock or about a product. The associate Zach is always rude or has an attitude, makes me never want to call but I don’t want to waste time going down there and on top of that get the same attitude from that associate. Never a good interaction with him always hoping someone else would pick up the phone to actually be helpful

Salina McCubbins Posted on Google 11 months ago

Positive experience: Didn’t greet us when we entered the store. Employee was rude and not personable.

George Gates Posted on Google 11 months ago

Fantastic experience: Lots of current Transformers, cheaper than at Walmart. Great gifts.

Brenée Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: Matt (acting manager) and the entire staff at this location are RACIST & UNPROFESSIONAL! I went in to exchange my son's controller and was told that the damage looked intentional! Then they gave me a controller that had stick drift intentionally! I mentioned the unprofessionalism and was then called racial slurs and then got security called to kick me out of the store. If you are a person of color that will hold them accountable I suggest you not to visit this location! GameStop you should be ASHAMED that you allow this!! I had to go to the location on 91st & Northern. Aiden was EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL and took the time to test the controller and switched it out with no issues. It just goes to show that people pick and choose how to treat their customers.

Jonathan Fox Posted on Google 1 year ago

Positive experience: I like that this store, as one of the 3 closest to my home Gamestops, opens at 10am rather than 11am or 12pm like the other Gamestops near where I live. It usually has pretty good inventory too. It can be longer wait times in the store sometimes though because it tends to usually be busier than the other Gamestops.

Ashelle Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: Avoid this GameStop unless you want to be ripped off on trade ins and deal with horrible customer service from their "Assistant Manager" Zach R. Rude from the moment we went in. He sat behind the counter and ignored us standing at the counter until we asked if someone could help. He threw one game on the counter and said no with no explaination. I said why what's wrong and he said overstock. That's fine and all but at least explain without just throwing it down and saying no. Then he gave me the lower price for my PS5 controller saying it needs refurbished without even testing it which they are supposed to do also no explaination I just saw it on the screen. Then he said my PS5 needed refurbished which is ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE! We asked for more information and he said the game he used wouldn't update. We asked if he could use another game he said no that would take hours. We asked if another employee could try because the PS5 is 100% working we just used it before bringing it in. Again he said no and said he's the assistant manager. So I had enough of this guy and his trying to rip me off and his rude attitude and said I'll take it to another GameStop. He then unplugged the PS5 without even turning it off first. Went to another GameStop and they checked out the PS5 and said it WORKED GREAT and they had amazing customer service and they gave me full trade in value. Never had such horrible customer service at any other GameStop and if he is actually their Assistant manager with that attitude then that speaks volumes about the type of place.

Fantastic experience: Extremely knowledgeable and helpful staff! Took about 15 minutes to get my grandson everything he was looking for and did it with a smile!

Colton Ashby Posted on Google 1 year ago

Positive experience: Great place with a good selection of games and consoles, however when I last visited I wanted to buy a controller for my Xbox Series S and the person at the counter sold me a pre-owned Xbox One controller that did not work with my headset.

Jen Acupan Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: The staff specifically the guy associated when we were there i want to buy funko pop luffy online and it didn’t says that its one per customer/household lol at first i called them that im buying that funko pop and that guy answered me that i need to be a member to be able to purchase i don’t think so cause i already bought from other gamesstop. It’s smell fishy lol maybe he’s gonna buy all and sell it for higher price there’s no problem if hes gonna explain it nicely cause we ask him nicely so sad and disappointed im going to rate 0 but luckily there is no 0

Manuel Leuterio Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: We went over to buy a funko laughing luffy me and my wife really wanted to have one each. But before we go we called. The associate told us we need to be a member to get it. Which is weird..so we just went then when we got there they said that its one per person. So im like cool me and my wife wants one. And then he said its actually one per household. Take note that nothing online says its 1 per person or household the guy was very rude aswell i tried to ask nicely if we can get one each cause did droove 40 min for it. He just said no. Over all a very bad experience if hes atleast nice and explain in a good way i would have understood. Im very this appointed. I will not come back to this store again. Just gave 1 star cause i cant give 0

Robert Cash Posted on Google 2 years ago

Negative experience: I was convinced to put down my brand new purchase and save $5 dollars buying used. When I got home, the used game didn't work. Tried returning it within the same hour of purchasing, and I was hassled about it by the employee. I recommend just downloading games. It's the same price

Ann Cassero Posted on Google 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: Had to do an extensive return. They were very professional and detailed. Will go back again.

Gilbert Paul Collazo Posted on Google 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: Store is spotless , employee is pleasant and informative. Prices are better than most places or competitive. Various items to keep you thinking of Christmas gifts ! Great little store.

ShonnyFide Posted on Google 2 years ago

Positive experience: Great place, friendly staff. The trans lady working in there is actually nice and doesn't put LGBT stuff everywhere. I enjoy going in here, and I've been treated nicely.

Ben Oxendine Posted on Google 2 years ago

Positive experience: If you're a nerd like me overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle of hanging out at the mall, it was, at least when I went, a nice and surprisingly quiet reprieve. Well stocked, clean. Didn't end up buying but browsed and found cool stuff. One employee on shift at visit. Some GameStops give me weird vibes but this one was cool. It's a bit of a skinny space, but the displays aren't super overcrowded.

Blue Dragon Posted on Google 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: Michelle went above and beyond @ this location. Made phone calls and made things happen. excellent employee and handles phone work very well ontop of in person customer service.

Bryan Smith Posted on Google 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: They were awesome to see if a game my son was looking for was at another Gstop for us to hit. Thank you made our son's day

Monica H Posted on Google 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: Always very helpful! When I go in to pick something up they let me know if something I would be interested in is on pre order or about to release (if I don't already have it on order) so I don't miss out. Worth the drive just to get the service I get here!

Noah Curry Posted on Google 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: Fun selection to browse and excellent customer service all around. Decent prices and it's nice to have a store like this local.

danyelle johnson Posted on Google 3 years ago

Negative experience: Came here to return games and was told by the associate that I needed to return all of the games I bought together since I got a bundle deal. I told him I needed to return the games before my time frame to return them ended. As I work long days and they are closed by the time I get off work. He assured me that I would still be able to return them as I had 14 days. When I returned to another game stop to return the games. I was told I could not as I only had 7 days to return them and my last day to return them was on the day that I was at the last game stop. It was only 1 of my games that had a 14 day return period. The one I was not returning. I will not be returning. So disappointed now I am stuck with games I can do nothing with. I will be buying and selling my games online from now on.

Mel N Posted on Google 3 years ago

Negative experience: Smelled so bad in here and nobody asked me if I needed help. The employees were also messing around. Found a funko pop I liked but didn’t end up buying it because of the awful service and stench here. Invest in some air fresheners!!!!

Kim Posted on Google 3 years ago

Positive experience: It's a smaller store so inventory so inventory isn't high, they seemed to have just as many toys as they did games. Maybe because they're in a mall? I'd give them 5 stars if they had more games.

Hyzenthlay Posted on Google 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: Tim gave such excellent customer service. I was Christmas shopping for my husband, buying a new console. I had no idea what games would be good to go with it, but he gave great ideas based on games my husband already likes. He really took the time to help determine what would be best. He was so friendly and provided great customer service. I hope the next time my family shops there, that he will be there to help.

Negative experience: Quintessential GameStop experience today. Walked in on a whim as I was at the mall for another reason, I saw Skyward Sword HD cheaper than Amazon with the current sale at $40 and figured what the heck, I'll pick it up. Got upsold when checking out for pro membership and pre orders, which I promptly told the cashier "I got Amazon". Low and behold, the checker goes to the drawers and pulls out just the game card in a yellow envelope and use the opened display case. To which I ask, "Do you have any factory sealed copies?", and the response being "No". Needless to say I walked out with my money in my pocket and the "new" copy of Skyward Sword with your store. Just a prime example of why I never, ever, ever shop at GameStop unless you're doing a good deal on trade-ins. I'll happily pay the $6 extra and wait a couple days from Amazon to ensure I get a NEW game and not support this bad practice of "new" games.

Joe Carpenter Posted on Google 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: The guy at the location on Thursday afternoon was how retail service should be. He found the game we needed and chatted with us about the next game in the series coming out. He wasn't pushy about pre orders or upgrading to pro and because of that I'll be back within the next week to pre-order the next game I'm waiting for.

keith franklin Posted on Google 4 years ago

Negative experience: I went in to buy a external hard drive for my Wii U and they told me it wouldn’t work with it (I already have a Wii U with a external hard drive and recently bought a new Wii U) the whole time I tried purchasing the external hard drive they spoke down to me and told me it wouldn’t work eventually I just gave up and went home

Fred W. Posted on Google 4 years ago

Positive experience: My power brick went out on my XBone so I swung in to GS for a new one. I always try to support brick and mortar. I'm even willing to pay a little more. Game Stop unfortunately doesn't keep a lot of stock on hand thereby forcing me to online competitors where I find fast easy solutions.

Raze Sentinel Posted on Google 4 years ago

Fantastic experience: I visited with two friends. This was our closest gamestop and we wanted shiny zacian. Naturally, we were set on getting our hands on it but one employee made it so much better by asking very good questions prior to receiving our items. We were stumped and had a great time with the trivia. Very welcoming.

Cosm1c Posted on Google 4 years ago

Negative experience: Awful customer service. The dude with green hair declined all my trade ins. Most of the stuff I took in were listed as tradeable online. One was a Nintendo switch lite. Went to another gamestop after and got all my cash for the trade ins. Absolutely ridiculous. Very rude employee

Jrk 1994 Posted on Google 4 years ago

Fantastic experience: I went in to see what kind of Funko's they had and I found the OG Power Suit instant buy No Questions. Going to be going in occasionally to see what they have, also the counter lady was really nice when asking the prices b4 I bought it so it was very helpful

Katt Posted on Google 4 years ago

Fantastic experience: My family were a family of gamers. We stop by to check out the games and to ask some questions. We also got to speak to Randall and Tim. These guys were awesome! They helped us out with a lot of stuff. From looking up items to tell us different things that would work within our need. Plus Randall was incredibly helpful with my youngest. He was purchasing a piggy plush with his birthday money. He gave him to much. Asked him that to watch the screen on the amount so he can count how much to give. My son was truly thankful to his generosity that he said he wanted to come back cause he was such a nice guy to helping him. So he wanted to share with everyone his piggy plush. He paid himself.

Doug Lynch Posted on Google 4 years ago

Positive experience: Employees are enthusiastic, friendly, knowledgeable, and just plain old NICE. Only reason not 5 stars is it is a very small store compared to other GameStops in the area.

Ralph “RJ” Hall Posted on Google 4 years ago

Positive experience: Busy location and decent selection. Don't like that the store is small and if you know game stop they have a Disney-ride line-style flow to their stores (just short of having ropes and stiles) that when there are more than 5 people can get crowded and hard to social distance. Given the amount of people in the store it was hard at times to even move especially if you enter when there are only a few people and you're at the back and a large group crowds you in. I am fully vaccinated and wear a mask but I would not recommend a visit for the faint of heart and to order online.

Daniel Weinstein Posted on Google 4 years ago

Negative experience: If you think a normal gamestop store is bad then a tiny one in the mall is definitely not any better. This one has even less games/ merchandise to choose from and it's still running the same formula of 3-4 year old games still selling for $60 and the used copies are "discounted" by 50 cents. Craziness.

Jason Roberts Posted on Google 5 years ago

Negative experience: Everytime I go here to buy a new game, they present me with an opened game claiming that it is new. No it's not new. Try selling it anywhere else without that cellophane wrap everyone will laugh and only offer you a complete in box price, if that. Change your ways gamestop.

Victor jackson Posted on Google 5 years ago

Negative experience: Everytime I go in the same guy is always super transphobic and disrespectful. The system is always glitchy and they wont even let you know when your preorder comes in been going here for years with not problem aside from the preorders but I cant deal with the disrespect and transphobia.

Wolf Capo Posted on Google 5 years ago

Negative experience: Advertising games on the shelf that they do not have if you don't have the game at all take the case without the actual disk in it off of the Shelf that's false advertisement anyway you look at it. Or you can put out of stop to let the consumer know that you don't have the game if you want to just keep it on the Shelf looking pretty

Eli Johnson Posted on Google 5 years ago

Negative experience: GameStop is a joke. I went to the one in Desert Ridge and the hours were listed as closing at 9 PM. I got there at 8:25 and the doors were locked and the man inside just shook his head no at me. Now my best friends birthday is tomorrow and I can’t get him the PS4 controller that he wanted. But I guess it’s my fault, GameStop is known for ruining dreams.

doo doo Posted on Google 5 years ago

Negative experience: Gate closed with a sign that says cleaning 20 minutes. Waited 30 minutes watching employees talk and play (not cleaning) when one leaves and says it be another 10 minutes. Then watched employee wipe a few spots in store for another 20 minutes stoping to get a energy drink from someone who walked up. The cleaning this person did is not considered cleaning rather than killing time. This should be done thoroughly before and after store hours and during down time not while store is open

Dom V Posted on Google 5 years ago

Positive experience: I've had a couple experiences where they will put up a sign signaling the store is closed for 20 minutes so that they can clean, but employees are not cleaning and just talking, even when there's a line of customers outside the store. Also, the cleaning I saw today particularly didn't look that thorough. I've loved GameStop for years and by no means is this a bad store. I love it, but with the virus you have to clean well and still be respectful to any and all customers and their time. Some people look at the sign and pass by the store. If the cleaning was done promptly, maybe more people would go in the store. They already have a good limit of 10 at a time inside, so that is nice. Risking transmission and taking a while is why I rated it 3 stars. Still, I do enjoy other aspects of this store.

Mystic Sisters of the Desert Posted on Google 6 years ago

Negative experience: Employees are wonderful but they need to check their inventory. Two games, and the $49 sega genesis console I went to check out with I was told were not even available. Why have these items out for sale? I was told to go to another store, they have the items. I went to the recommended game stop, they did not have the sega console either- even though it was on the shelf to be purchased... again. Also, this store had it set for only $49. We were told yet again to try another store close by. We did, they had the console, BUT said that this store and the other one had it listed at the completely wrong price. I had to pay $69. I am very ticked off. I will never return to a GameStop. Wrong prices, selling items they don’t even have. Something needs to change, this is ridiculous to happen at all three stores.

Snnow Wolfe Posted on Google 6 years ago

Positive experience: Don't come here often, but the employees are always watchful of everyone coming in. Selection is much smaller than I would like. Just walking in and browsing is very calming.

Katelyn Spellman Posted on Google 6 years ago

Fantastic experience: My brother use to work here and the staff here are all super friendly! The place always looks tidy when I go to visit them and they always seem happy to help out customers. I can't wait to continue buying games from them !

Evelyn LeBron Alvarado Posted on Google 7 years ago

Fantastic experience: oh man I love this place on my kids get everything from here my daughter gets everything from here they have everything that you want in a low price I mean other places they charge an arm and a leg so this is the place for us we love going away even enjoy just going in looking around and they got new things all the time and customer service is really great.

Pattie C. Posted on Google 7 years ago

Fantastic experience: These guys are great and their customer service is awesome, even though they were busy at the time I was there, they still made sure every person got they're question answered. I did and very helpful in the information about a game I was looking for.

ihatedannyromero Posted on Google 7 years ago

Negative experience: Staff was very dry behind the ears. Looked for supervisor who did know and he found what I needed. The inexperienced staff couldn't even small talk as to one was wearing a joker shirt from the killing joke and I was wearing a joker hat. He could've had more to say like hey joker, alright. Which one u like man? But instead I got nothing and they want me to fill out a survey? What happened to good customer service?

Hawk Posted on Google 7 years ago

Positive experience: A lot of the employees here are a bit slower than I'd like. Anytime I come here I am trying to get in and out. I love a good chat, if I start it. But I never do. I am not sure the name of the employee who it is but, he is way to talkative and kind of annoying. He's just too much. The store overall is small, but well organized.
