Fantastic experience: Went into GameStop looking for a steam gift card. Which they had, I could not find it anywhere else. Happy with the service at GameStop.
Negative experience: We attempted to call ahead and no one answered. When we arrived, none of the three employees made eye contact despite having no other customers and answering a couple basic questions about merch was like pulling teeth.
Negative experience: Unhelpful when we went there for a product and asked questions. We were told to look it up. Not a fan and probably will drive to another GameStop that is farther from the house to find better customer service. We were also the only people in the store.
Fantastic experience: AJ was an awesome customer service/cashier that you run into. He was very informative about the pricing for buying video games . He was polite and respectful Definitely will go back if I have any game related issues.
Negative experience: I went into this GameStop to trade in some old Xbox ones for a Series S Xbox for my boyfriend’s birthday. My boyfriend called a couple hours before to make sure they had the one he wanted in stock. when we went into the store, the guy working Christopher was almost immediately snippy & seemed annoyed by anything I asked about the Xbox’s. I should’ve taken that as a red flag but I figured he must’ve had a bad day or something. I continued with the trade in, I was able to get about $107 in credit to use on the Series S. we did the whole transaction & walked out to our car. my boyfriend was so excited, he wanted to open the box immediately. I’m so glad he did because when he opened the box it was old Xbox 1. I looked at my receipt & I had been charged for a Series S Xbox but I received an Xbox 1. We went back into the store & explained that he gave us the wrong Xbox but I was charged for the Series S. I had paid about $230 not including the credit. Christopher immediately started arguing with me saying I wasn’t charged for the Series S Xbox, he kept saying I was charged for an Xbox one. I had to show him the receipt multiple times until he finally acknowledged that I was charged for the Series S. Anytime I said anything though, he would tell me to chill out or to stop (as in stop talking), although I was very calm, I just wanted to get this figured out & leave. he went into the back of the store for almost 10 minutes & when he came back, he said he only had a New series S so I would have to pay another $216. I was very confused as to why I would be paying $450 for a Xbox at a second hand store. then he said I actually have to pay another 70$. I explained this was a very frustrating situation i was given the wrong Xbox after paying almost 300$ all together. & I was quoted a price before I came into the store. He made a snarky comment that that’s how it is sometimes. I was done with the situation & how Christopher was treating us. I asked for a refund and my Xbox’s back so I could leave and go elsewhere. He said he would issue me the refund, I waited for a while & then he said the refund was issued. so I went to grab my old Xbox’s and leave & as I went to pick my Xbox’s off the floor, he then says “btw Peoria treats trade ins like pawning so since I already put those Xbox’s in the system, if you take them I will call the police and you will be arrested” that’s when I was like what the hell. he never said that until we were about to leave. I’m from out of state so I didn’t even know that was a thing. Christopher made it seem like I was going to have to leave my Xbox’s there with no credit. my boyfriend and I started asking for a manager bc the way Christopher was treating us was insane. Christopher said “nope I’m not getting a manager, you can talk to me”. I said that if I wasn’t able to take my Xbox’s then I need the credit for them. so he ended up calling his manager & his exact words were “these people are throwing fits and I just want them out of here tell me what I can do to get them out” he completely tried to make it seem like we were acting crazy but I was literally begging to be able to leave that store. It took about an hour for Christopher to give us a gift card with the credit amount on there so we could finally leave. This whole situation shouldn’t have happened I understand mistakes happen but Christopher should not have handled it the way he did. We ended up going to the GameStop in the mall, & the workers there were so incredibly nice. They even opened the box to show us the Xbox before we left the store. All in all, if you buy anything from this store especially from Christopher I would double check what’s in the box before leaving.
Negative experience: No one picks up the phone been trying for 3 hrs
Negative experience: The customer with dyed blonde hair refused to answer the phone the whole 30 minutes I drove here from Luke AFB, gave sassy attitude after I questioned him about it by saying "his phone doesn't work half the time and to go ahead and call right now." All I was calling for was for a product availability question, and his negligence cost me time and gas money.
Fantastic experience: Let me start by saying these guys at this store are very informative down to earth really good people as well. They made our family feel really welcomed and we will continue to come to this specific store location in the near future. GameStop is lucky to have them working at their store here on Lake Pleasant Parkway. Treven & Chris!!! Thanks for making our day!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Negative experience: Having to be a "Pro member" to buy a Playstation Disc Drive is stupid. $25 extra dollars to be able to buy an item is crazy.

Fantastic experience: This has been my new home store Gamestop since around October of 2023 when I had a bad store experience at the Happy Valley Gamestop in August of 2023/when I got transferred to a job location closer to this Gamestop in October of 2023. Damian when he used to work here, Alec, Treven and Zack always help me out well and are good to chat with.
Negative experience: About 2 years ago I went into this store to buy a used PS4 Pro. I was super excited because they were the only store on this side of town that actually had one. It was my birthday present to me. Shortly after that I ended up putting it in my closet and just recently pulled it back out. I always thought that it didn't really look much different that my OG PS4 but I thought I was just being too critical. Today I found out why... I paid for a PS4 Pro but I was sold a PS4 Slim. I've been a loyal game stop customer since they opened (I'm 43), but knowing their employees would do something that shady makes me rethink ever going back. No wonder so many of their stores are closing.
Negative experience: There is no employee on the phone, this is now the 4 day calling at different hours on the day!

Positive experience: What day is the new PlayStation 5 coming out? Is it November 7 th? This game stop is smaller and more how can I put it,Nice, because they say hi when you walk in, they ask you things and if you can't find it there. I had one guy actually call another store to see if they had it on stock. I give 4 stars because the price for controllers trade ins very low in my opinion. This could be a little better for a trade in but none the less this store and the staff is pretty good.
Fantastic experience: The staff there was more than helpful and actually took the time to help my autistic son pick out a game for his birthday. The staff member even persuaded me to become a pro member again and even explained the veteran discounts I didn't know I was capable of getting. Thank you to the young man that works there. He is more than a valuable asset to that store/company.

Fantastic experience: Bought an occulous meta quest 3 for 518.00 after tax Beat saber the best game ever The guy at the counter took too long with someone that brought in (from the story he told ) stolen merchandise. O.m.g 20 minutes later I was gonna take me and the 520 we saved To spend for my sons gaming systen he wanted and go... But my son deserved it so we waited and got meta quest.... The guy finally was very pleasant and apologized when the first customer left.

Then there was some lady behind the counter on the phone with two kids in the middle of the store rustling around she didn’t have a name badge so I couldn’t tell you if she worked there or not. Every time I go to the store, the employees seem hostile and don’t seem to want to work with you. Not a very good work staff
Fantastic experience: Janice was a delightful surprise. Our customer service experience with Janice was exceptional. We spoke on the phone first about a problem we were experiencing with a new purchase. Went into the store and without a hassle Janice resolved the issue and won a customer. Negative experience: Mike the manager is horrible. Bought 4 games a month and a half ago. Finally getting to my last game and it doesn’t work. I called and asked if they can just switch it out. Not asking for a refund and he would not help me. Kept saying, “I don’t know what to tell you.” Like dude. The game doesn’t work. Never had a game not work. Always gave them my business. 10+ years. And the one time I asked just to switch it out with a different pre owned he says no. Sounded like he didn’t care.
Fantastic experience: Quite possibly the greatest Game Stop in Arizona in terms of Stock and Service. My brother's been a rewards member for the past 13 years... So you can only imagine how much time (and $$$) we've spent in here and various stores all across the state. At this location, you're always greeted with a smile. The associates are extremely knowledgeable and helpful with inquiries, and there's almost always sales going on even on hot items! If youre unhappy with your experience at a different GameStop location, come to this one... They'll definitely treat you well!

Negative experience: Literally the worst Gamestop. I've had repeated issues from employees LYING about benefits to get you to sign p for their membership to people claiming they'll place an order to replace defective equipment. It's literally going to be two weeks before I can get a controller replaced strictly because they say so.
Fantastic experience: Always fully stocked and informative. Found out hogwarts drops in February, and the new lay out for membership grants $5 per month in game cards ( 1 $60 game for $15 per year) In addition this store was clean and easy to get around. I would recommend this store to video game fam.

Negative experience: I would give this location 0 stars if I could. Called ahead about a game, inquired about physical copy. Associate said yes we have some in stock including a pre-owned. I asked if he was physically looking at them. He said yes. I asked for the pre-owned to be reserved. Drove 30 minutes to arrive to the associate saying they only had digital and said the game only came in digital. I asked why they have a box and why there is marketing for physical copy. Associate said they'd seen it before. When asked what other games could not say. I ordered through Amazon and received a physical copy next day. Game was Monster Hunter Rising: Sunbreak.

Negative experience: My son bought a game with his birthday money. The game has Xbox x on it and I asked the guy working the register if it would work in Xbox one. He said yes, we bought it. Get it home and put the disc in the console... it doesn't work. NOT COMPATIBLE. I drive back to the store the following day, and my son had thrown out the receipt. But they look up my gamestop account and clearly see i bought it. Would not refund my son's money, would not tell me when the manager would be in, would not give me a phone number to speak to a manager and claim there was no manager on site. This place takes no accountability for their errors. Must have been under their sales quota for the day so they lie to their customers. DO NOT GO HERE

Fantastic experience: Charlene is amazing!! She provides excellent client service by being helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. I also got to witness her multitasking with ease when she was manning the store alone with 5-6 customers in line and a phone that rang almost continuously. We will definitely be returning to this GameStop for all our gaming purchases in the future.

Negative experience: Stood in line for well over an hour to preorder a playstation 5. 30 minutes prior to opening, one of the employees notified the 45 of us in line that not only did they only have 12 preorders available, but that all those playstation 5s we the digital editions, with none capable of playing disks at all. In my opinion this was irresponsible and disrespectful of Gamestop for those of us who took today off to preorder, but was also a very unethical practice designed to draw potential customers to the store. I will never return to this location again, and I will probably take my business to another company entirely should I see this type of practice continue at Gamestop. Many of the individuals I spoke with in line this morning agree entirely. Gamestop, you have made it clear that you don't really care about your customers, so you will continue to lose these customers until you make significant changes to your business practices. I wish you and your employees the best of luck, and I hopefully await a heartfelt reply indicative of responsible adaptation to customers' wants and needs. Until then, Target and Amazon, here I come.

Idk if she has problems at home or going through a recent divorce but I was completely normal asking simple questions. Her tone and attitude was very clear. If she is still working there just ask for another employee or do not go there at all. The gamestop in bell rd is way better and worth the drive. This one will never get business again.

Fantastic experience: I'm a grandpa. My only experience playing a video game was "Pong" in the late 1960's. That game was basically involved playing ping-pong on a black and white screen with a little white ball bouncing back and forth... Not exactly riveting by today's standards. A couple months ago, I decided to buy my grand-kids a game system and some games. I went to the Lake Pleasant Gamestop and the manager there, Jen, answered all my (dumb) questions and found me some games the kids ended up loving. Thank you Jen!.

Negative experience: False advertising. What a waste of time. No one asked if I needed help. After finding the items (Funko Pops) I wanted (Listed 3 for $24) I was told one of them was $15 and they would not honor the deal. I understand people do shadey things to get a discount. Place was not busy at all. It was the last item of its kind in the store. It is not like it got misplaced from another area considering all of the Pops are located on the same wall. Won't be back. Telling all friends and fellow Pop collectors. Can't wait for them to shut down.
