Fantastic experience: It was great, I went up there to buy a ds xl and the woman working there was super friendly and helped me get everything I needed to use it.

Negative experience: Never try to sell video games or systems here, they give pennies on the dollar. Never will visit this place again

Negative experience: We wanted a DVD that was $2, the employee said it was an old tag from 2022 told us to put it back, didn't want to help at all and was super rude, no hello or anything. Beautiful store but this was my second visit and I won't be back.

Fantastic experience: This place is AMAZING. It’s close enough to my job to where I can visit during lunch. Great prices, always something new in stock and the most helpful employees. The glass case with the valuable games is always filled with something new and obscure. They will chat with you and give recommendations or just let you browse in peace if you’re not feeling chatty. Every employee I’ve come into contact with here (3-4 people) is great at their job, friendly and knowledgeable. I’ve had one item I needed to return and that process was easy painless and not their fault to begin with. I wouldn’t go to any other store on my lunch break and I hope this place is here for a long time.

Fantastic experience: This is my boyfriend and I's favorite shop to hit I've rebuilt my childhood collection of GAMECUBE games here aside from my tunnel vision wants, I've scored some pretty dope finds !!! They have some hard hitters from time to time and SHEEEESH are they CRAZY good picks. This place has no idea how much I appreciate them for coming into work and doing the dang thaaang. Not only is there job awesome because it's in a friggin game shop but it takes a really cool person to work behind that counter if you ask me. We'll be back for more !!!!!! Next time I come I'll be asking for the guys name that's been here for ever so I can give him a shout out. Very sweet man and always happy to help when he can. Thank you Game X Change

Fantastic experience: I love this store. Their collection of retro and vintage consoles, games, and controllers makes me want to geek out for hours and just browse. Staff is usually quite friendly, if not a little quiet, which I feel most would appreciate. Met the manager (owner? He mentioned running multiple locations) once and he was extremely friendly and communicative. Sad we're moving away soon or they'd have my business for a very long time

Negative experience: We were recommended this place for getting PS5 games, but the moment we walked in the customer service was terrible. The store is messy and unorganized, but my husband and I still managed to find some games. At checkout, a young white man helped us look for the discs, and I could immediately tell he was the only one trying to do his job. There were four employees total, including the one assisting us. He asked—twice, loudly and clearly—“Are these the only PS5 games?” The other three ignored him completely, even though one of them looked directly at him. They were too busy chatting about nonsense instead of working. I found it incredibly disrespectful, and it took everything in me not to say something to them directly. In the end, they didn’t even have the games we wanted, despite listing them as available. We left without buying anything, and we will never be going back. I honestly hope that the one young man who was actually helping us finds a better job, because no one should have to work with such unprofessional and ignorant coworkers.

Negative experience: My partner and I used to come here often when it was just mostly movies and games. This last visit, we saw they were selling some figures and my Partner picked one up with a picture but no words trying to figureout what it was. While checking out the box the man at the counter quickly came up to us to let us know he has a "private echii plug", and that "all echii was 50% off." Then he disappeared back to his kid coworker. I really don't hope it becomes a weird gooner hot spot. I just wanted to trade in games, dang and they didn't even have any cash! Like no I dont want your echii figure you can't even do what the sign outside says, damn.

Positive experience: The price on things just seem to keep going up. They don't take DVDs anymore. Game X change used to be a great place to go but not much anymore. It's kinda depressing. This specific store overall isn't bad, it's all of them. The ones in Texas seem to be worse than the ones in Oklahoma. They just seem to be going downhill. I wouldn't be surprised if they go out of business

Negative experience: Please beware do not buy from this company if you want to return anything they will not refund your money not even if it's within 24 hours they force you to have store credit and they cut the price to such a low value search unfair practices

Fantastic experience: This was my first time at this location and I had a wonderful experience. I brought in several large tubs of old games to sell and they were able to get it all priced in a very reasonable span of time while also taking care of other customers, and I also feel I received a fair price. The staff at this location deserves kudos - especially Damon for putting in such a great effort for a customer.

Negative experience: Had a sealed unopened pokemon etb that i wanted to get priced. Said he goes off of ebay prices which avg 65-70. Offered to buy it for $10, dont bother wasting your time. Would buy it for 10 to put it on sell for 60

Negative experience: We called in advance regarding disc resurfacing and got told they can do it. We showed up and had a very, very, long wait to be tended to. Games were supposedly fixed AND verified to be working. My spouse specifically asked if the 3 discs had been tested and the staff said yes. When they arrived to me in the evening I saw that not only were they still covered in scratches but they had not even been cleaned and were still covered with residue. That let me know they had not been tested. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and cleaned them with microfiber(gently). Popped them in known good systems, Dreamcast and Playstation 1, imagine my not-surprise when I confirmed the staff had just ripped us off. I don't care about money, reputations do matter however. Unless you make this right yours will always be bad. Customer drove to you from Forney. Either train your staff better and hold them accountable or get out of the business because you give all sellers a bad name. Discs exactly as received in pictures attached.

Fantastic experience: Lots of good selection for older games and consoles. Trades are a little low but fair

Positive experience: Sometimes good, they really don't always test the electronics so you have to be careful, I'd definitely keep the receipts from this place, they unfortunately don't do refunds in the traditional sense, instead they give in-store credit it or cash with a slight lost in funds

Negative experience: I called and was told that they would hold onto a console for me for my collection. I was assured that they set it aside for me and had a sticky note on it. I show up a few hours later and they told me they sold it. Not trusting this store again

The staff are always friendly and helpful and of course their stock is always above par. Movie Trading Co. used to be my go to but Game X Change is way more convenient and consistent with quality or service and products! Now if only they would invest in tap pay machines so I could buy more!

Negative experience: Update: Went in to purchase a PlayStation 4 controller and upon reaching the counter, the GM looked at me and said “ are you sure you want to buy something from here after that review you left me?”. She pretty much got upset with me and called me out in front of other customers which really embarrassed me. Now I will be filing another complaint with BBB. I had to get a controller for a friend’s gift and instead I get called out and humiliated. I will be calling corporate and filing a complaint. Her behavior towards me was unprofessional and completely unacceptable!

Gentleman named Treijshun was very engaging in conversation while I was browsing and checking out, overall just a really stand out good time while shopping, this location is always nice but it may just have become my favorite of them all!

Fantastic experience: Can’t remember the guys name that helped me, but he was very helpful. I was able to get two games for my new Xbox one and I’m very happy with them.

Negative experience: 11:50am on Saturday during posted work hours, store is closed. Update your hours.

Fantastic experience: Great place, I walked in just after they opened and was welcomed pretty quickly. I asked if they had a console in stock and the employee was not sure, but they went above and beyond to find the console I was looking for. Then on top of it, it was cheaper than online and other stores.

Negative experience: On July 1st my boyfriend went in to buy a game for the switch. (Octopath traveler 1). The case that was out on the shelf was for octopath traveler 1, upon returning to his car he discovered he was given the completely wrong game in the case… when he returned in the store to ask if they had the correct game they stated that they did not. He then asked if he could receive a refund because the game was falsely advertised to him. They said that they can only do store credit which is honestly unacceptable under this circumstance because the employees did not disclose the fact that they did not have the game in stock that was shown on the case. Very frustrated with this whole situation because it was not a cheap game and now we have about $40 in store credits rather than a proper refund to the card the game was purchased with because the employee working at the time did not disclose that the game being put in the case was not the game that we were intending to purchase. I however would also like to add that we have been to this location many times and have never had a bad experience until July 1st. The lack of attention to detail on behalf of the employee cost us almost $40 that we can now only spend in store credit which is frustrating.

Fantastic experience: I have nothing but good things to say, and here is why: The staff is energetic, friendly, polite, highly knowledgeable, and resourceful. Because of how outstanding the customer service was during my first visit, I returned a second time two days later. Once again, I was delighted to meet another employee that matched my previous visit's energy, and I was warmly welcomed! From the start to the end of my visit, I felt I had the utmost importance as their customer. Note that other clients who walked in were warmly welcomed despite the higher influx of customers. I was ecstatic that the store offers much more than video games. I was overwhelmed with memories growing up upon viewing all the DVDs, posters, and comic books. There is so much to see at Game Xchange regarding various products. On another bright note, the store is extremely well organized! I own several gaming consoles, so I love how easy it is to shuffle through all the categorized video games. The store also has a glass box at the register/pay station, which holds an assortment worth checking out before paying. I felt like a kid in a candy store, aside from the fact that the store also has candy for sale. For example, I adore the Mario Mushroom candies that looked so cute. The store also sells t-shirts, which I found pretty sweet too. On a final note, even though I could rant on with nothing but greatness from this Game Xchange location, all my products - so far - work flawlessly. I love knowing I have a FREE 90-day warranty to test all my products. Please note that the store cannot refund cash value; however, store credit will be the return payment method. KEEP YOUR RECEIPT, and take a photo, so it lasts longer. Yes, Game Xchange has minor differences from GameStop / other stores. However, take the time to read the receipt, listen to the cashier explain the store's policies before walking off, and/or ask questions as you make your purchase, and you will be golden. Crystal wonderfully explained it all during my first visit. This store location was upfront and presented no hidden agendas, which I love and respect. With that said, I will gladly remain a loyal and enthusiastic customer of my GP store location. Major thanks to Crystal and Chris for assisting me. I wasn't the only customer in the store, but they made me feel like a one-of-a-kind customer. Stop pondering on this location/store and swing by.

Negative experience: Horrific service. The employee made no effort to engage in conversation or even ask if we were ready to check out. I was planning on buying a game console, but when the listed price turned out to be different when it was rung up. The employee said I was going to have to pay an extra 10%. I shouldn't be responsible for paying extra because your employees can't update the prices that the customer can see. Along with that, my partner was still wanting to purchase some candy, but even after ge heard her say "I'll just go ahead and get these then." He walked away and struck up conversation with a completely different customer. Easily the most disappointing experience I have had, whoever the employee was that was working at 12:45 P.M Sep 29th, 2022 needs some serious retraining.

Fantastic experience: This is my second time going here and it was a great experience. We went looking for Gundam model kits but bought some games and Funko pops on top of the model kits. We had a great experience with Jennifer who helped us with everything we needed. She let us go through the pile of DS games which helped me find some hard to find games. She was attentive and very friendly and just the best. She is an asset to your store and with the experience we had with her amazing customer service we will continue to be customers to this store. Well worth our 30 minute drive to go there.
