Negative experience: My bought a game here and they never explained to us that we couldn’t return anything. We bought it and they didnt tell us about the policy. We asked for a refund and they said we cant return bought games. Here in US, if you buy something new and you dont want it, your able to return it, except this store who sells used games. They didn't give us options.

Negative experience: Lady didn’t greet me or say anything. She looks like she had a bad day or something didn’t smile or said anything or give me any suggestions.. not sure I’ll come back to this store . I bought two PS1 controllers from this store I’m not sure she didn’t want say anything because of my race which I’m African American. She was too shy and didn’t look happy at all

Negative experience: Would not recommend if any way shape or form, take your business elsewhere. Went in to sell a bunch of old games and consoles and was told that I could only get store credit because they “didn’t have the cash for trade in’s” without even looking at what I had or determining the value. Not sure what kinda business doesn’t have cash but yet advertises trade in’s for cash online. Seemed more like the person behind the counter didn’t want to spend the time going through everything.

Fantastic experience: I love going here i don't always find the game I'm looking for but they always try and get for me when I asked

Positive experience: Nice store, definitely worth checking in regularly for the stuff people bring in. I've spotted all sorts of interesting obscure consoles for sale here. Even a VIC20 and Colecovision! They also have a little console museum corner that's impressive and fun to see. A cute little location hiding a lot of great stuff.

Fantastic experience: Been coming here since i moved to Arlington from Fort Worth. Pretty solid if ur looking to pick up original or replacement controllers, memory cards and cords. Retro library could use some bangers in the original xbox and gamecube section but they still have a few gems in there worth grabbing. Fixed my original Xbox some months back and haven't had a problem since. Might just pop in there today abt getting this controller fixed

Negative experience: This store I do not recommend because they didn't have time to show me a lot. I came in for a PS4 controller battery they didn't sell one if you sell accessories that what accessories mean. Also they wasn't very accommodating or speak but the next people who came in they did maybe they don't like older black gamers who's cool with every one not playing the race card I'm a consumer trying to fix a controller for my son. I don't recommend this store.

Negative experience: Offers less than the actual value of games and consoles, I sold a console with a couple controllers and games yesterday was given a number then another number which was only a $10 difference mind you it was all below $100 that they offered me but if you like store credit then you should be fine since they add about $40 to the cash amount to come up with a number for store credit, I see how they managed to grow their inventory over the years not much has changed. Always undervalues whatever you bring in to sell.

Positive experience: It's kind of expensive, not going to lie, but you can find some good stuff in here. I get a lot of my retro games from ebay but this works too sometimes

Fantastic experience: Called right away when a Wii U became available because I checked throughout the week. Holds for 24 hours. No gamer basement smell, very organized and well-staffed store. Great customer service, which is lacking by the competition.

Fantastic experience: Game Over has the feel of FuncoLand before they were bought out by Barnes & Noble and became GameStop. I love that they have a tribute to video game hardware history with almost all consoles released in home gaming history, as it is a great nostalgia hit, and I can show my kids what was around during my childhood as compared to what they have available today. This store is a great place if you are a retro game collector, or just want to relive the good old days when arcades were in every mall and home gaming was something you did on a rainy day. I am old enough to have had a Pong console, so it's like they are walking me through my entire life history of gaming!

Positive experience: Good small game store with great customer service and a multitude of games. They also have a clearance bin with more used consoles that may need repair. Great for people who enjoy taking consoles apart and fixing them. Great selection of Wii, Xbox 360, and DS games.

Fantastic experience: Got a NuForce controller for my kids phone and it worked for 5 min. Took it back and the exchange was quick and my son loves the controller. The place also has plenty of retro games from pong all the way to most recent, to everything in-between. Recommend checking out for any video game collection.

Fantastic experience: The place was so great I bought the shirt. Literally. They have a great selection of games for everything from the old Atari systems on up. Their staff is conscientious, as the young lady was unsure about whether a title I had selected would work, and she wouldn't sell it until she tested it herself. Their prices are pretty solid as well. I wish I lived in the area so I could visit more often! Oh, and by the way they have a museum quality exhibit of consoles spanning the history of gaming, which is worth coming in to see even if you aren't looking to buy anything.

Fantastic experience: If you are looking for the old school - they have it! Atari, colecovision, intellivision, and Odessey 2! Few old consoles too!

Positive experience: Visited this location many times over the past few years, usually great selection across many of the console eras along with decent deals. My last visit (April 2023), I noticed quite the pricing issue - primarily with the disc based games they are generally priced at the Complete In Box (CIB) price, even when they are disc only, missing the manual, or not the original box/cover art. I have no issues paying market rate, especially when looking for harder to find games etc. - but there is a big difference in the collecting community when games are not complete but being priced as such.

Polite employees, great prices, and I am beyond pleased with the quality. All games worked and have had zero issues with the console. Definitely will be my go to store from now on even though it's quite a drive for me.

I was a little confused at first, but Ruben helped me throughout the whole transaction and got me in and out the store within minutes. Ruben, you the man!

Fantastic experience: I talked for over an hour with the staff and spent maybe another looking through their crazy diverse inventory of new and old games (mostly old) and even great tech to let you play many old systems in 1 console. I hear there are people who buy out some of the more valuable old titles like all old pokemon but this is not a shortcoming of the store yet worth noting if you wanted to come in for an old nostalgic title.

Fantastic experience: One of the best retro gaming stores I've ever been to. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I will most definitely go back.

Negative experience: At the Arlington Texas location, they sold me scratched up games, and they were very rude when I went back to get them repaired. They told me that the games were not scratched when they sold them to me, and they essentially called me a liar! I will not ever shop at Game Over again.

Negative experience: I came to sell Kuon (PlayStation 2) Complete-in Box and they said they will give $20 for it. Really? According to the current market price of this game, it should be over $750. Of course, I expected around 75% of that price or something, but $20 is .....nah. I’m pretty sure if they can buy my game then they will put the price tag of $750 or more. Check your game and game system’s current value online such as pricecharting website so you can estimate how much $ you can get (after tax and fee).

Fantastic experience: The cinnamon in the store was very knowledgeable about all school games. Game over is good for O.G. games

Fantastic experience: Very kind staff, knowledgeable of the products. I purchased a used RetroN there for like 50 bux with a game. This place is a good place to find some retro gaming peripherals like controllers and even gamesharks. I saw some pretty rare items as well.

Positive experience: Had a lot of games in all generations but they are all just a bunch of the common sports games and nothing more. There were a few exceptions but the selection itself was not good.

Fantastic experience: They have many old consoles like Gameboys ,DS games, And Nintendo 64 games even tough I didn’t find what I was looking for it was okay because they made sure that I knew they actually had some just not now and the workers where every nice and helpful I would really recommend going if you need to find any consoles.

Fantastic experience: Just visited today, and gotta say the amount of activities for a game store is superb. Art wall, collection of ancient consoles, iconic music from more underrated games, and tournament signs. The charm of this store just had me make this review.

Positive experience: The employees were incredibly helpful and fun to talk to. It really is fun to be able to talk video games with them and they seem to truly appreciate the medium. The environment is incredibly relaxed and chill. The only problem that I do have is that the selection IS lacking when it comes to major first party titles (You'll mainly find sports games or licensed games) though they still do have some behind cases. They are the only place I know that have a good amount of dreamcast material so that is a definite plus. All in all I would highly recommend this store if you live in the area, though don't expect to find major games at decent prices.

Fantastic experience: Love this place! Game Over Video Games... talk about memory lane. I swung in there today and picked up an old N64 game. Great selection - no pressure from the staff to hurry up and buy something, and did I mention the selection? They are very reasonably priced - excellent place for hard to find older games, game systems, and those pesky accessories those systems can't live without.

Fantastic experience: Great place to buy games. I used to go to Movie Trading but I found this place to have better pricing. The pricing is actually better here than Amazon in most cases. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. You can tell that they are gamers. Selection is pretty good as well. If I want something for an older platform I can usually find it here.

Fantastic experience: They were honest with me. I was asking for a ps2 and they informed me that it could be a little slow at the startup. Most companies would say everything on it is perfect etc. Great place overall and I would highly recommend it.

Fantastic experience: This place is super cool & has retro everything. Its like reliving my childhood. The staff is awesome & very helpful & knowledgeable to every game platform

Negative experience: I've purchased accessories from this location 4 times, each time they have turned out to be defective, and end up just wasting gas making the trip out there again to return the item. Game selection is also very mediocre with the occasional rare games sitting in the glass cases. Trade in prices are a joke at this location, I took a huge lot of games one time and was offered $45 in cash or $55 in store credit. I ended up taking that same lot to the Game Over Videogames in Houston a week later since I was visiting a friend who praised that location. They offered me 3 times that in cash then what this location did. Shady business tactics with they're trade in program here. Won't ever be returning to this location at all.

Positive experience: First time going here and I loved it they have almost everything such as old video game systems like Nintendo Gameboy, GameCube, PS1, PS2, Xbox etc. Was a bit disappointed because I had picked out a game from a ps2 selection and turns out they didn’t have that game and I’m just like “then why do y’all have it here?” But overall it’s great, definitely will come back and get some more games and they’re cheap too!

They have game systems as well with a reasonable price so I definitely plan to return to buy games. I will recommend going here if you want to buy games at a decent price.

Fantastic experience: Didn’t have the game we were looking for in stock but the employee recommended us onto funimation for a dubbed anime. They had dragon ball z so I’m hella please since nothing else had it.

Fantastic experience: Employees have always genuinely looked after my best interest, and even the manager didn't try to price gouge me when they easily could have. Great prices, great games, great customer service.

Negative experience: This store needs some lighting! It was more like a store that you sneak in complete with a room in the back! There is no real signage telling you what each section is for. Employees offered to help but it was too dark and too much to take in for a quick visit.

Fantastic experience: This place hits right in the nostalgia. Walked in for the first time today and felt my childhood memories flooding back, from the first time I played Duck Hunt in my cousin's house, the first SNES cartridge I ever held, my hours spend as a teen playing Halo on the old Xbox and endless time spent on my Gameboy chasing after Pokemon. The staff here seems very knowledgeable and friendly, greeting you as soon as you step in. Prices are reasonable and the selection looks very varied and large, encompassing a wide range of eras in gaming. If I ever have the need to play something retro and cool, I now know where to go.
