Fantastic experience: This place is cool. They have an inventory of all sorts of video games, retro and modern consoles as well. They repair consoles too! I had a PlayStation 3 get repaired here. They did a good job. If you’re looking to get a repair here, be patient. Good work takes time. And they are honest. If something can’t be fixed, they’ll let you know right away and if something can be fixed, they will also let you know. Pricing is fair. The guy at the counter is cool. Good work takes time and be patient. This place is a gem.

Fantastic experience: I came here because my ps5 did not display anything on my TV. I asked around and people told me to go to gamestop to fix the issue. Gamestop told me to come to Gamegeeks instead and because of this I was able to get it fixed within a couple days!

Fantastic experience: Incredibly helpful and knowledgeable staff. Fixed my situation for free this time too I bought a gameboy advance sp and it refused to charge with the provided charger (got it from an antique shop in orange circle). I called ahead and confirmed the store had gameboy related tech. Walked in, no appointment or anything like that. The staff investigated the gameboy port and then tested the charger I brought in and the chargers they had available. Figured out the issue was with my charger, picked up a new one on the spot for $10. In and out in five minutes. Now I can play pokemon emerald :)))))) thank you so much

Fantastic experience: Brought an Xbox controller in for repairs in an attempt to satisfy the demands of a third party protection plan I had on it. The employees here were able to inform me that the repairs would not be cost effective. This was perfectly fine as I was able to go back to the protection plan company and further my claim. So while I didn’t purchase any goods or services with my visit, I got the exact information I needed.

Fantastic experience: I just needed my charging port fixed for my old 3DS. It took a couple days, but I was patient about it as the video games weren't going no where. Owners were very friendly and I got what needed fix. The price was great for the labor. Overall would come again if I need any repairs in the future.

Fantastic experience: Came here to get my 3DS XL fixed for the 2nd time. First was a mechanical issue, this time a cracked casing (thanks Nintendo). First off, this place is filled with some of the most kind hearted, knowledgeable, and hard working people I’ve ever met, especially in the gaming industry. They instantly recognized me and my system from the last time I was there, which was over a year ago! I told them the issue and gave me the rundown, even giving me a discount cause I kept some of the important smaller pieces that fell out so they were able to use those. Then when I came to pick up my console after repair, there was a pricing ticket issue which I didn’t notice AT ALL. I was so ready to pay them cause of how amazing they are, I didn’t even argue. Then THEY caught the mistake and told me while giving me back the extra cash I was handing them. Such honorable and amazing people. I never go out of my way to post a review. But when a place is so amazing to their customers and community, I have to let everyone know. If you have any issues with your console and feel like there’s nothing to be done or it’s a lost cause, run it by them first cause they’re super heroes. Even if you don’t have any repairs needed, come in and check out their catalogue of retro games and consoles. I bought a PS2 online as a gift for my boyfriend and I was able to find so many nostalgic games in their store! Had I remembered at the time. I would have bought the console there too. Again so amazing and just such wonderful people.

Positive experience: I just brought my old 3DS here for a bottom screen replacement and they did a really awesome job, it's working good as new now! I was nervous to take it anywhere and have it get scratched or dented because it's in almost perfect condition but it came back in the same condition I dropped it off in so I'm really happy about that. Repair took about a week. The only downside is I bought a couple replacement stylus' for my old 3DS but they were the wrong stylus, they must be for the new 3DS or XL or something, which is kinda funny considering they knew exactly which model I have Garden Grove is far from me so I'll unfortunately just take the loss on this one, next time I'll check to make sure they fit. I'll be back if I need anything in the future for sure!

Negative experience: I went today and it was closed . Your website says you guys close at 8pm . That is not true . Please fix your hours .

Negative experience: Went there for a simple stuck shift issue called before hand and they gave me 2 different prices and would take 3 days if you want a place to get ripped off here it is would recommend buying but don't use theyre repair service if you wanna get ripped off

Positive experience: To start off, I went in with my New 3DS XL that was having Top LCD issues. Positives: - They repaired it for a decent price! -The quality of the screen is great, if not somehow better than what I initially had. -Just overall content I’m no longer having issues with my top LCD. -30 Day warranty for repairs. -Employees were kind and explained things thoroughly. Negatives: -They gave me an estimate of how long it would take to repair the top lcd, they said Saturday, it ended up being ready Monday due to delays. -They gave it back to me with a dent on the to left that wasn’t initially there — but it isn’t anything that can’t be fixed with some stickers or smth. Overall, a pretty decent experience and the positives outweigh the negatives. I would go again :)

Fantastic experience: been coming here for retro games since i was a teen and have always noticed how compassionate the guys are and reasonable prices. they are one of the few people left in the area who are able to provide repair services on controllers and older game consoles.

Negative experience: They are very misleading. They said my controller would be done by Wednesday, so 4 days. I call him wedneday he said he gonna start Thursday morning so I left it. Call him back Friday and he hasn't even looked at it and his techs don't work Fridays or weekends. So I just took it back. Suck a waste of time waste of gas just horrible service and transparency in general. Go to somewhere more professional.

Negative experience: Fantastic repair shop with plenty of older game consoles and games for sale! I went in for a fat ps3 repair that had a YLOD. They said it had a 50/50 chance of a repair successfully working which ended up being successful! My repair took about a week and the price was very fair. It even came with a 2 month warranty on it! The gentlemen at the counter are very nice and work a lot because of their quality of work. I'll be coming back if I ever need my gaming electronics repaired! Edit: my ps3 ended up dying a couple months after this repair even following their instructions to make sure to keep the ps3 cool. I also bought a GTA San Andreas ps2 game from them and when I got home the disc was cracked! My fault for not checking ahead of time but also their fault for not checking on their end too

Positive experience: I took my PS Vita to get fixed due to having the left analog stick auto moving in my games. I was called saying that it they fixed it in 9 days. After testing it out for a few days, I can say that they did a great job in fixing it. The reason I am not giving them 5 stars is because I don't know what they did. But when I put my Vita to charge, it doesn't give any indication that it is charging at all, but it is. Also, good people are running the store.

Fantastic experience: Good price! I looked at other places to fix my switch and they tried to charge me $125 but gamegeeks did it for $48 so I’m very thankful, they were also nice

Negative experience: This location just tried to rip me off. My PS5 was turning off due to overheating and was told I'm better off buying another PS5 after they "looked at it" (for free). They said my motherboard overheated And there's nothing that they can do. I also asked them if they could take the game out from my PS5 and they were trying to charge me $10 for that. The guy lied saying to get that game, I have to remove around 40 screws. I checked online (youtube) And it's only one screw I will need to turn to get my game out from my PS5. I went elsewhere and was able to get the motherboard fixed.

Fantastic experience: I have been to many game stores in my life, but I have never seen a more passionate gamer and owner than I did today. I took my cousin, who has special needs, to the store because he wanted Final Fantasy V for the Game Boy Advance. It turns out my cousin had been there before, and the owner immediately recognized him. They had a conversation about how there are so many great games on the Game Boy Advance—a kind of conversation that’s often lost in translation between my cousin and our family, including me. We don’t always connect well or fully understand his excitement about gaming. The owner pulled out a special collection of Game Boy games he had, carefully laying out each cartridge for my cousin, whose eyes lit up at every single one. All the while, the owner kept the conversation going, even as he answered phone calls and managed the store. It was such a special moment to see how much passion they both shared for gaming. It’s rare these days to see anyone so excited about anything in life. My cousin decided on Kirby and Kingdom Hearts, which together can cost upward of $100 on eBay. But the owner, seeing how excited my cousin was, sold them both for just $50 and even gave him free cartridge cases. The owner is Vietnamese, as is my cousin. Noticing that my cousin doesn’t speak Vietnamese very well, the owner told him that if he came back and spoke to him in Vietnamese next time, he’d give him even better discounts. Believe it or not, my cousin went home that day and started watching YouTube videos to learn Vietnamese. My cousin is going through a stressful time with both school and therapy, but today he looked at me and said, “I’m really happy today.” Thank you, GameGeeks, for providing such a heartfelt and passionate experience. I really would have never thought going to a game store could make someone feel this happy

Fantastic experience: OMG NOTHING BUT GOOD THINGS! I was freaking out because I damaged a clamp on my oled switch while i was doing a shell swap and they were able to take a look at it and get it back to me in no time! They really took their time and found a solution and whats amazing about all this is you get to work with some really friendly and helpful people. They will take a look at your console or whatever you bring in and dont charge a service fee just for that! Fantastic experience: I had the best experience with Game Geeks. I have a son with special needs who has had a rough time the past year. Recently, he got interested in playing his Nintendo 3DS XL again. This has been encouraging to me because he lost interest in a lot of things/activities he used to like. Then one day, he told me that his Nintendo was broken, not even turning on. I was in panic because I want him to stay engaged in something. I asked our trusted Gadget Parts in HB and they recommended Game Geeks. I took my son’s Nintendo there. It is an old unit and I was afraid that it was not fixable. I spoke to Joe and he, together with their staff and owner, did everything they can do to get it fixed, especially when they knew the special circumstance with my son. They ARE the Super Heroes!!! They were able to replace the parts, fix the console and my son is once again playing his favorite game!!! I cannot thank you enough, Game Geeks, for making my son happy and for your BIG hearts!

Fantastic experience: I turned in my 3DS XL for a hinge repair and they did an amazing job. The job was a quick turnaround (4-5 days) and was very affordable. On top of my repair request Gamegeeks went out of their way to repair 3DS's camera and joystick for no added cost. This place is one of the last hinge repairs shops and deserves for traction.

They offered a free diagnostic to see if the issue could be fixed. Luckily, they were able to do it! The repair fee was very reasonable and the turnaround time was only a couple days. Fantastic experience: Highly recommend. Gave them my GameCube with a broken disc reader and a broken 4th controller port. They fixed it for a reasonable price and threw in the controller port fix for free. Very friendly staff that really cares about preserving retro gaming equipment like myself. GameCube works great now and couldn’t be more happy. Will definitely come back for any other gaming repairs.

Bought a PS3 Super Slim from them and you get a 90-day warranty for the consoles and if you have any trouble, just call them, come in, and they’ll help you with that problem. I had some trouble with the console and the nice clerk swapped the broken console with a working one. Would love to shop there again and I appreciate it once again for the support.

Fantastic experience: Bought a 2DS xl off of eBay that had a busted R button instead of sending it back I decided to see if a shop could fix it and found game geeks they had it fixed within a few days for a VERY reasonable price and later on I took it back to them to replace the top screen as it had gotten damaged in total I spent half the price of another 2ds xl to fix this one I'd say its very much worth going to these guys for game console repairs if you live within the area.

Fantastic experience: Loved game geeks, from the games and the consoles they have, to their prices. This time that I came in, I turned in my PS4, because it was no longer working. Within a day of turning it in they told me exactly what was wrong with it, and they were very direct. After a couple of days I was able to get my PS4 back and it was perfectly fixed, it worked great as if I just pulled it out of the box.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely loved my experience with gamegeeks! I dropped off my PS5 on Friday, and was able to pick it up in the afternoon on Monday! The service was incredibly professional, they kept me updated every step of the way, gave me a free quote before starting service and made sure I was OK with all the changes and charges they would make. When I got there to pick it up, they gave me some tips to prevent the error from happening again. Everyone was extremely honest with the work that they did, and do not try to pressure you into having more work done than what is necessary. Price was also extremely fair! Sony would charge way more and you would be missing your console for much longer- this was very competitively priced and was finished extremely fast. Thank you gamegeeks!

Fantastic experience: My Nintendo Switch had been having a couple of issues..1)Losing connection when docked and playing on the TV, kept getting the Check HDMI notice on my TV...2)Sometimes the game cartridges were not being read. The team and GameGeeks helped with both issues using OEM parts, nothing aftermarket here!! They communicated with me the entire way! They are friendly and patient in person to answer any questions you have and make recommendations for better overall care. If I need it again, this will be my 1st stop for help!

Very rude, disrespectful, asking unrelated questions, they ask me if this is repair is to resell this or for personal use according to thst they will charge me for each repair, they told me to repair Nintendo 3ds screen is 90$ or for buisness customers 75$, device itself Costs 110$ on Ebay, they charge 90$ ro repair screen. price is not the issue. the way they talk to customers is an issue here, absolutely. Avoid this place. Do not waste your time Cleanliness 0 Star dusty, stinky, sticky store, very unclean, all around games and flayers yellowish sun damage. Fantastic experience: Fantastic service. Went in to get my GameCube repaired. Walked out with a fixed GameCube and smile on my face. The guys running the shop are happy to be there and happy to help. Made me happy too. Store has an awesome selection of games and consoles. If you are looking for something in particular, the fellas behind the desk will definitely be of help.

Fantastic experience: They have the best costumer service eveeeeer… we got a couple items with them today, but we forgot to get something else, so we called them 5 minutes before they close and they wait until we arrived and they had the same good actitud as before, they are so nice, they help you and the give you a good recommendations depending on what your looking for… just visit them, you’re gonna be happy I swear

Fantastic experience: I will not mention any of the competitors in my review but I will say that the sales service customer relations location parking as well is selection of retro video games accessories consuls and unique items are unparalleled as is the quality of technician chip in repairing the made sure to refurbish my PS3 cancel with a proper cleaning fan refurbishment thermal paste HDMI repair etc and I recommend it

Fantastic experience: I've been to Game Geeks for multiple reasons, I've been here to fix my PS4 twice, and each time they were very helpful. Not only with the PS4 but they replaced my iPhone screen as well without any trouble as well as fast and simple. For a while now I was having trouble finding a power cable for one of my monitors because It was damaged by water and went to Best Buy and Microcenter only to be told they couldn't help me cause they didn't have any. I decided to contact the company for the monitor to see if they would sell a new one and was told it would be $40 plus shipping and handling. Being hopeless of finding a reasonable priced correct cord for my monitor I hade the Idea to go to Game Geeks and what do you know they had a cable for me and sold it for $16 which is absolutely amazing. If this doesn't convince you to go to them I personally recommend them as they have very reasonable prices as well as being very generous. Go to Game Geeks!

Positive experience: I needed an emergency repair on my Switch for water damage. I spilled about a 1/4 of a cup of tea all over myself and it, then my switch would no longer turn on. I was only in the area for a short time (I don’t live in SoCal anymore but was visiting family) and was leaving very soon. I called to confirm they were open and could take my switch, over the phone they said it might be possible to repair it the same day. I rushed down there as soon as they opened (I was there by 11:20) to drop it off. I asked about the timeline and the gentleman told me it would be a couple days because water damage takes time and held up a basket of at least a dozen switches that were already waiting. I told him if that was the case I would not be able to leave it as I was leaving town the following day. He told me he would have his technician look at it as soon as they got in. The day went by and I heard from them at 4:45pm that my switch was all done and ready to be picked up. I asked how late there were open and they said they were closing early so at 5pm. Since I was more than 15 minutes away they offered to stay open until 5:30pm for me. I headed there as soon as I could and arrived about 5:20. When I arrived there were several other customers dropping off game systems for repairs but they helped me quickly. It was $128 for my switch repair, which they told me had a lot of water in it. I offered a credit card but the older gentleman asked me for cash. I don’t usually carry much cash these days but had $80 since I was traveling. They took that and put the rest on my credit card. The older gentleman and the young man I assumed was the technician both made a point of telling me that they usually charge and $35 dollar rush fee but they were waiving that for me. They did not tell me exactly what they did to my switch as far as the repair went, but they said there is a guarantee on their work and they put a small gold sticker on the back corner of the housing with the date on it. All in all, that sticker is the only record I have of the repair or transaction other than the charge slip receipt, and if I had paid all cash I don’t know if I would have even gotten one. I didn’t press for details of the repair or ask a lot of questions about the guarantee since I won’t be in the area to take advantage of it if something goes wrong. They were moving on to other customers before they were done with my transaction. They got my switch working again, which I’m very happy and grateful for, it just went a little strangely as far as other device repairs that I have done.

Negative experience: Honestly the guy seemed nice and understanding at first but I went in for a Xbox series s repair and for a whole week no text, no updates. I went in to see what was happening, the owner then tells me “you’ve been texting us every other day, the process takes time, money, and patience. You’re young and don’t have patience so for that reason we’ll be giving the console back to you.” It’s been a week, they open at 11am to 7-30pm and their one technician goes from 2pm to 6… it’s been a whole week with no progress AT ALL. I took it to a different location and they fixed my console within the same day. The service is poor and should not be used for anyone

Negative experience: Didn’t fix my series x. Made multiple trips and pure disappointments every time. Ended up getting my money back but the whole “it’s fixed come get it” just to take it home and still didn’t work.
