Negative experience: They damage my card and they don’t pay for it. I asked for the photo when I submitted and they manager. Not paid for it. Think about it you wanna grade your card in GameStop Irvine They damage your card and they won’t take any responsibility for it.
Negative experience: I highly suggest people read reviews before shopping At this location I see I am not the only who had this same terrible experience here when the Gengar promo was out we where waiting in line hours before store opening when we got in my son and I we also felt with Myron extremely rude and when we asked about the Gengar promo which clearly stated online with a $15 purchase he said absolutely not you can only get in with a pre order when my son started to ask about what they are saying online HE calls my son. A DUSH BAG infront of all the people in the store , luckily a customer behind me has recorded the entire thing and I will be escalating this incident. We then drove to another game stop and somehow got lucky and did get the promo card with $15 purchase and I called about 6 GameStop store who also confirmed that this store was in the wrong and that it was not with a pre order but with $15 purchase attached is a photo of the website . Legally this is false advertising.
Negative experience: Never ever go to this store! This store will try to gouge you for participating in any promotion. Went for Gengar pokemon promo and waited 2 hours. It clearly stated you must spend 15$ on pokemon products and get the card. Myron (short manager who takes his job far too seriously, get a life dude) refused to honor the promo saying corporate made new rules but refused to show any memo as proof. He demanded we sign up for Gamestop-Pro AND pre-order the new upcoming set (nearly twice MSRP).
Fantastic experience: Had a great experience at this Gamestop. Everyone here was pleasant and helpful. Huge shoutout to ASM Lucy for helping me out with my trades. I live somewhat far from this location but she made the trip well worth it. I plan on coming here more often just for the amazing customer service.
Negative experience: The General Manager at this GameStop is acting like a straight-up scalper with these Pokémon cards. Today (March 27, 2026), the exclusive Gengar promo card dropped with any $15+ purchase of Pokémon TCG products. When I got there, there were about 30 people ahead of me in line. Only a couple of people walked out with the card. The GM made up his own rules on the spot: the promo was supposedly only for Pro Members and people who had pre-ordered. When it was finally my turn, I asked him directly about the rules. He repeated that it was limited to Pro members and pre-orders. I pointed out that the official GameStop website and Pokémon announcement said it was available with any $15+ Pokémon TCG purchase while supplies last. He then claimed they had simply "run out" of the promo cards. They must have only received around 30 cards at most for the whole store, because I barely saw any get handed out. It felt like the promo was being gatekept or quietly set aside instead of being given out fairly to customers who showed up for it. Luckily I went to the Main place mall and got a card. I explained to worker what had happened at this store and said what gm did was not good and to report it. I will report all the way to the top so this won't happen again.
Negative experience: Myron disrespects and cusses ad customers. Cashier quality has definitely gone down over the years. They make up their own rules, so the GameStop website is false advertising and wasting are time at this particular GameStop
Negative experience: 4 employees in the store and nobody wants to pick up the phone for a half hour, wake up guys.

Fantastic experience: I want shopping for pokémon packs with my son. They didn't have any but the associate was very helpful and showed me what my son was looking for because I didn't understand. He shared his collection with my son. We left with some decor but I will definitely be back to buy him a card box for Christmas.

Fantastic experience: I went in the other day and had the best customer service experience I've ever had at any GameStop location. Lucy and Myron were the ones working at the time and they were both super helpful and eager to answer the 98273 questions I came in with. I was looking for some packs to open and ended up pack battling with them! Super friendly, great service, would definitely come here again for any pre-orders or events they host!
Fantastic experience: Awesome People here, organized the pokemon release well, did some mini games had prizes and a bunch of other stuff as well making sure we are all doing well and all get taken care of as soon as they can in an orderly fashion
Fantastic experience: I didn’t think they had stocks, but I was very surprised they had in stock with a Wii Nunchuck controller. Reasonable price and the gentlemen at the store was very nice. I only had good experience here.
Negative experience: Not worth lining up for Pokemon TCG, people camp from the night before and with the pro membership now only the first 20 people or so get anything due to the new scalper pro policy limit of two per holder.

Negative experience: Incredibly bad location. Don't come to shop here. They not just ruined Nintendo Switch 2 midnight launch so people spend over 10 hours when they could just walk in and buy at Best Buy, but also they just never have games on release date for walk in customers. DON'T waste your time, shop at different store.
Fantastic experience: I went in today to see if they had the Nintendo Switch 2 in stock after it being sold out basically every store, Jeremy and Nick were AMAZING! They were able to get one for me from there recent shipment they had just gotten. I’m so happy I was able to get it for my husband. Amazing customer service from both. Very attentive, helpful, and willing to go the extra mile for customers! 10/10

Negative experience: I went out to the release of the new Nintendo switch2. Staff miscounted the number of people in the line and left us (the last batch of people) waiting for about 6 hours a console that was never available. We were told at midnight that the consoles left were not enough, even though they claimed multiple times during the night that they did have them. Disorganized as it can be. No turn number were handed. People cut the line at will. Never coming back to this GameStop and so shouldn’t you

Negative experience: I previously called the store asking about a pokemon cards release and was informed that it was a limit of 1 per person. After waiting for 2 hours, one of the male workers with a beard came out and said that it was a limit of 2 when others were cutting ahead.

Negative experience: Preface: This isn’t a knock against the actual employees but this is a warning if you’re submitting your cards for PSA grading. Somewhere along the line, GameStop / PSA / FedEx lost some of my cards during the return process. The cards were fully graded and I was able to follow along the updates on the app but I was informed that I was unable to pick up my order because my cards have gone missing. While I’m not sure if the GameStop workers had anything to do with the cards missing, I just know I’ll never submit through Gamestop again. DO NOT SUBMIT YOUR CARDS HERE

Fantastic experience: I had ordered Naruto pop figures for pick up in store. They were a gift for my daughter but she was not supposed to see them yet. My plan was to go to the store without my kids but life happens and I had to bring them on this errand. I asked the rep at the front if she could discreetly put them in a bag so my kids wouldn’t see. She asked if it was a gift I said it was. She said she didn’t have any more bags, I said that’s okay it’s really not a big deal. She then went to the back and spoke with someone else. I gave her my order info, had me sign a confirmation and then she let my kids pick some charms for their crocs. She then comes back with fully taped box so my kids wouldn’t see the gift. A small thing to do but it went really far and left a good impression on me. I always have a positive experience with all the staff at this game stop but this went above and beyond. Thank you!!

Fantastic experience: I’ve had so many bad experiences at GameStop myself but it really comes down to the employee you get and this store has one particular employee that makes my experiences worthwhile. Arron is by far one of the best people I have met who works at GameStop and he makes up for so many of the bad shopping experiences I have received at other stores. His kindness, knowledge of games, and even his passion for the gaming community makes me feel he is one of the most valuable of employees in this county. Thank you so much Arron for making my experiences incredible and as much as I hate the company I can’t help but start to think that it really is the person who makes it better. Can’t thank you enough and I’m stoked that you’re always there to help me. Huge praise.

Negative experience: I pre-ordered a collector's edition of a game on GameStop's official website and was supposed to receive a pre-order bonus, a pendant, which required in-store pickup. The website clearly stated that providing the order confirmation number was sufficient. However, when I visited the store, the staff insisted needs to seeing the physical game's invoice, making the process inconvenient. The store stuff’s attitude was exceptionally poor and unhelpful, I was very disappointed with the way he handled and responded.
Negative experience: The last view from Bruce was definitely fake review. He’s in the same group with salesman. The review beside him all 1 star. You can know how bad for this place. Try to avoid Arron, long hair man. He didn’t know how to return the items and just told me my items could not return because pass the return date. After doubt him I came here in 2 days after I received the items and he could not say anything. The system showed incorrect price for each item, but I showed the total amounts I pay. After he scan my item, the price was the correct price. However he said he could not return because the system showed incorrect price. He didn’t give any solution and just have bad attitude. Wasted my 30 mins and passed the buck. Try to avoid this place and this man. Totally ruins my day.
Fantastic experience: Arron was stellar, had lots of patience in helping me get my new system and game. But more than that, he delt with this extremely rude customer. When I entered the store I started browsing but there was this customer that was giving Arron a hard time for at least 20 minutes, he was probably there before I arrived too. Arron did an excellent job explaining why he couldn't process the refund to the customer but they would not have it. Customer talked down to Arron, called him a bunch of names, and tried to demean him as a person. Arron, thank you for helping me. You never deserve to be talked to like that Arron. You even bounced back and were very friendly and knowledgeable for my questions and gaming. Rockstar. Eleven out of ten customer service skills.
Negative experience: If I could, I'm put 0 star They sold us an open game as if it were new, the code had already been used, we came back and they told us that they open all the games but that the codes are under lock and key... and then they stole our code and they don't respond I am very disappointed in GameSpot, also Corporate is called and no one answers.
Fantastic experience: Came here looking for a toy for my kid. Was greeted by both reps when we entered. They helped us look for the toy my kid wanted in the store. When they didn't carry it, they helped us search their database online the helped us locate the item in another store. Then returned a couple weeks later to pre-order an Amiibo. The rep tried to help me but I missed the deadline by one day. But he did look into it and take the time to see if he could try to get my order in. Alas, the computer wouldn't let him. But he did try. Definitely 5 star service.

Fantastic experience: I was looking for one of the PS5 Bundles and calling stores to see if they had any. While the Jamboree store had sold out, their employee Adam was a huge help and volunteered to check other stores in their system and help me narrow down who may still have one. This saved me a bunch of time. He even let me know that they were giving an additional $25 on PS4 trade-ins. I really appreciate his efforts. Especially since he knew he wasn't going to get the sale. Definitely will be shopping here in the future.

Negative experience: The worst experience I had ever. They refused my return request because I had requested the return multiple times. I had never this kind of awkward customer service even though the games were unopened and tried to return in 30 days.

There store policy does not allow it. It's just another way for the corporation to sap money from their customers. That is not ehr fault though Kathy called her district manager and fhe head office. She called me back to let me know she couldn't do anything. Even though I am unhappy with the outcome my next game purchase will be at this gamestop because of Kathy. I have favorited this location.

Negative experience: Horrible customer service. I was trying to check out the Nintendo Switch games and this guy is "reorganizing" the games ... and seems like he is in a bad mood, dropping games and stuff. He knew there was people behind him and seemed to have gotten mad at the fact that we were waiting for him to finish. After about 15 minutes I simply dropped your game and left. I felt like punching the guy.
Negative experience: Tried to sell me a used game, untested, the disc for which looks like it was dropped on the freeway at 70+ mph. Avoid this location !
Fantastic experience: Employee enthusiasm for gaming is quite high here and they are more than willing to discuss whatever is going on in the gaming world or offer advice. If I buy a console game, I go here as brick and mortar game stores need the business and are as competitive as online stores. They also used to do midnight release events but I'm not sure if that is still a thing these days.
