Fantastic experience: Very friendly and helpful

Fantastic experience: Came here after visiting the other main retro game store in Orange County the day prior and I must say this place was a lot nicer. In terms of selection there’s a good chunk of stock available for everything from NES to Switch 2 and they have a pretty darn massive selection of Switch games for sale. A bit of a gripe is how many games they have leading to it being hard to actually read all the games or check their prices. They definitely need some more shelves just to hold all the NES, PlayStation, and Wii U stock they have. In terms of price, prices are pretty good. Is day on average about $0.50 to $5 above market value, and again I’m always happy to pay that much to support a local business and get the game in hand in that moment. The staff were… there. It was a bit weird that they were spending all of their time in the repair room but they did at least ring me up. Compared to the Game Gems over in Tustin this place however has much better stock and much better selection with much better prices as well. If you’re in the OC area I’d say this place is one of your best bets for buying retro games.

Fantastic experience: Super cool store with caring and professional staff, as well as a great inventory. A small but cool thing I noticed was that they actually test each game you want to purchase before even selling it to you. Some may say it should be a given, but I've never seen Gamestop do that ‍♂️. Stopped by to hopefully find a few PS2 and Xbox 360 games and walked out with great finds for both!

Fantastic experience: Service was really good. Also prices are incredible. Huge variety of games from the PS1 to the Xbox 1. Nintendo games from NES to the Switch. Games function great and people are kind. Highly recommend to anyone looking for games.

Fantastic experience: Traded in some old games I had for some newer ones. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It's great that there is a good sized selection of games and consoles, all from retro to more modern ones, so there is something for every gamer here.

Fantastic experience: I had a bunch of game cartridges and misc playing cards such as magic and some pokemon cards. I went into the store with the intent or hope that I would sell the items as I was hurting for some gas money and the gentleman who helped me informed me they didn't deal with cards but he did offer more for my items than I expected so I gave him the cards anyway and I hope he can make some money off them but overall I left the store a happy person primarily because I was treated well and the no hastle straight forward transaction was greatly appreciated. I recommend giving them a try before going anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: Went there about a week or so ago for the first time and I was very impressed. The guys running the shop were very friendly and helpful not only to myself, but everyone in the store. They even went through the effort to double check and see if the games I was purchasing worked on older systems. Very cool to talk to and didn't try to upsell or anything like that. Pricing was fair and service was great!

Fantastic experience: I love this store. I always feel welcomed and the cost of the games feel justified. I know I’m not getting ripped off and they’re fair. They don’t try to upsell you and even offer decent alternatives to problems to save money. I bought a SP with a box and paper work, Pokemon red and yellow for around 350.

Fantastic experience: The game store is clean, the folks there are very friendly and helpful. Main attractions are the variety of games to check out. My friends and i came down from LA to OC area to check out all the retro game stores and this store by far exceeded our expectation. They're knowledgeable and friendly. This store not only sell games but they also sell gaming consoles, game accessories, Keychain accessories, and game guides. I believe they also do game repairs as well. Overall my experience here is very good, my friends and i left with games and guides. We will come by again in the future. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Really awesome video game store that my 12 year old LOVES! The owner and employees are super helpful and friendly, the store is CLEAN and it's always wonderful (as a parent) to find a $70 game your kid has been dying to get for almost half the cost (or at least $20 bucks cheaper if new(er)). Can't recommend this store more if I could!!

Fantastic experience: Never had a bad experience. Sold a gameboy advance sp once. Got a good price for it. I sell my games here a lot because no other place I know pays as well as these guys. And they’re fun to chat with and aren’t biased on video games. I ask about a game and they tell me what I need to know. I live a couple miles away and don’t have a car. The walk is always worth it. Because whether I’m buying or selling I know I’m gonna get a fair deal. If you got games collecting dust. See how much they’re worth here. They check the current prices for these games and always go for the middle. They don’t low ball you. And the owner is a great guy. Very knowledgeable on games and always happy to help with any questions on a game.

The staff is super knowledgeable, eager to help, and extremely nice. I'll keep on coming here and play their arcades.

Fantastic experience: Started coming here 20 years ago before they moved to ball and brookhurst. Came back to California and stopped in to see what changed. New owner is great. Very friendly, super helpful.prices are fair. My kids enjoyed talking with him about stuff.

Fantastic experience: Been to this shop few times. The staff is friendly, personable, and professional. They have a good variety of common and rare games. Overall the last few visits I've gotten some banger common games like Lord of the Rings Return of the King at a reasonable price. I've also gotten some repairs done for my Dreamcast when no other repair or retro shops in the area would take the job. It was done very quickly, same day when reviews of other shops would be weeks. Overall this shop feels like it's run by legit honest people, in a time where many more retro shops are looking to over charge post pandemic/video game grading bubble. They also have Instagram where they update with their latest stock and various skits.

Fantastic experience: Reasonable prices and friendly staff members. They had a wide variety of games, but their Wii U games were a little lacking, but no big deal. If you buy most disc games, they’ll usually clean them and test them before finalizing the purchase. Would recommend, 5 stars.

Negative experience: I feel like I got robbed I gave them a almost new ps3 blue 2 controllers a Nintendo 64 with like 4 games one of them was Pokémon stadium some bs games and I only got 120 how much u want to bet they will sell the ps3 for like 130 and the Nintendo 65 for 120 to never going to this place

Negative experience: Very bad customer service I bought a console for my son and it had issues. It was already faulty and covered in scratches. My son wanted it but in the store it seemed to work. Then on the way home he was playing and mind you it was late afternoon right before closing time so I told my son that maybe it was not charged enough. He tried charging it all night but the next day same thing. Store was closed so we went next day. They tried to say that we broke it because they don’t sell them in that condition. They even asked if I have one more same color implying that I swapped it. Ridiculous excuse STAY AWAY!!! I’m never going back again Store Owner/Manager stated “Due to the condition of the device I can not take it back” I asked what do you mean Sir? He said “Scratches etc.” Really? well that’s exactly how it was sold to us Sir. Now if you wanted to be a good manager and customer service person you should know what you have in your store and the exact condition before selling it by making sure you take pictures, I have pictures of everything with dates on them too but you didn’t even ask for proof if the scratches were there. Well guess what Sir I will never step foot on your store again and I wish you the best of luck. I was very offended and disappointed when you said that hence why I left the store

From Atari to PS5, they have everything. Plus, they always clean the discs of used games so you get the best possible condition when you buy. The guy working here is super cool and knowledgeable. Negative experience: Drove 25 minutes there once. Got there at 6 and it was closed even thought it said it was open until 7 online. Next time I tried to go, I called them to confirm they were open and the guy said in a very rude tone that their hours are posted online. Not worth dealing with rude people.

Fantastic experience: Came to Anaheim to visit Disney for our Anniversary and decided to stop by a retro video game store. l've been planning to go and here is where I stopped. Great customer service & pretty decent pricing. They had a great selection of games to choose from. Got 3 games and am satisfied. Deciding if I should stop by again before I leave.

Fantastic experience: The owner is a cool, social and very honest guy!!! I purchased a gamecube game that strangely didnt want to play on my wii, and he completely honored it by cleaning it for free, which fixed the playing issue. I also tried selling an expensive gamecube game and he recommended i try selling on my own so i could try getting more money for it.

Fantastic experience: Went to a few local retro game shops in OC, just to browse. Stepped into this place, and there it was.. a copy of Silent Hill 2 - with the booklets, and the disc had one minor scratch you could easily buff out. I walked around the store some more before buying it and there were a decent amount of great games without the scalper price. Most retro games have skyrocketed in price the last few years, and its getting hard to find good deals online. My boyfriend picked out a couple solid games, and was able to grab some new cords to replace old ones for our consoles. The staff was also very friendly and knowledgeable about the games. I walked out happy to be reunited with my favorite game from my childhood. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you're looking for a nostalgia fix or to add to your collection! :)

Fantastic experience: Attended a smash bros tournament this past weekend with my kids at Video Game Geeks. All staff was very helpful and professional, as close as perfect as you can get. Also purchased a few games very reasonably priced. My son was able to win 1st place on the tournament they hosted. Really surprised of the over all excellence of Video Game Geeks. Most definitely returning.

Very knowledgeable in different games and how the mechanics work i strongly recommend this store over any game store ive been going here for about 14 year's it just gets better and better.

Fantastic experience: Traveled from New Zealand for a vacation in the USA - when I saw that this store was near the place I was staying, I made visiting this place a high priority. The staff were incredibly friendly and they showed me items that they didn't have on display like a mint CIB Zelda II. The prices tended to be pretty average according to Pricecharting - maybe with $3-5 extra which makes sense as they need to make money somehow. Looking forward to coming back next time I'm in the country

Fantastic experience: EXCELLENT independent video game store! I've sold games and accessories before too here for a pretty good amount of credit. They have some harder to find and weirder old games for great prices too.
