Negative experience: I had a very concerning experience with this GameStop location regarding a PSA-graded Pokémon card submission. I picked up my order on January 3, 2026 (Order #1575031), and one of my cards—a 2015 Pokémon Mewtwo EX (PSA 6)—was returned to me in a damaged condition at the time of pickup. The store manager, Miles, acknowledged the damage and stated that a claim would be processed. It has now been over 2 months (77 days), and I have received no update, no resolution, and no follow-through. Each time I return to the store, Miles has been unable to provide any information or updates regarding the claim. I have also repeatedly requested contact information for a supervisor or district manager, and this has not been provided. At this point, the lack of communication, transparency, and follow-up is extremely concerning—especially considering the value of graded cards and the expectation of proper handling. I have already contacted GameStop corporate support and am requesting that someone from corporate reach out to me directly as soon as possible to resolve this issue. If this is not resolved promptly, I will be pursuing additional steps, including filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Negative experience: Purchased a headset 3 days ago. I tried to return it because they made my ears hurt and she said that they don’t accept return once the box is open. Soooo how else am I supposed to know if these headphones hurt or not? Terrible “strict rule” and will never purchase anything at GameStop again. Definitely got ripped off because the employee is who recommended these headphones. Smh. Scam.

Fantastic experience: Catelyn was so helpful. I came in to buy a Pokémon game, and she let me know I could pre-order the upcoming release. I just called to get info about the midnight release and once again she was incredibly helpful. She even remembered my name from months ago. It was one of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever had.

Negative experience: Update: Short Lady??? w/short hair. EVIL MANAGER! The associates in this store are pretty cool, the manager is the problem. Read the other reviews. Or just visit yourself & go through hell. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I was banned from this store after following GameStop’s return policy exactly: I purchased and returned a game within the allowed period, fully complying with their rules. The manager displayed hostile behavior from the start, including a previous incident where my $200 headset was stolen and nothing was done. During my recent visit, she repeatedly refused to process a refund that was fully within policy, despite the fact that I followed the rules to the letter. I even found a sealed copy of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition in the used section, which I returned properly, and the associate who saw it never mentioned it to the manager. She never acknowledged that I had saved the store $80 in merchandise. Instead, she focused on the fact that I had purchased and returned the same game three times. each return fully compliant with policy. After this confrontation, I went to the NW 7th Street location, processed my return there without issues, and received my reward. This type of management, hostility toward customers, and lack of professionalism discourages anyone from shopping here and reflects a serious problem with this branch. They stole a 200$ Headset from me, no compensation, no refund, & the headset disappeared from the store in less than 24 hours. Called customer support, they told me they would create a ticket, but they needed the managers name, I go to the store again, manager isnt there, & the employee “isnt allowed to give that information out” Gamestop? More like GAME OVER! Stay away from this Gamestop specifically, the Manager is Evil!

Negative experience: The worst gamestop in Miami. Watched multiple customers get dismissed and blown off by a rude store employee. Told me my warranty claim could not be processed after making me jump through hoops. After each hoop a new arbitrary reason was provided as to why she refused to help. Store employee assured me that no other store would assist and gave me a you can try but I guarantee it won't happen, statement. Went to other store and the exchange was done within 5 minutes. The rep was attentive and informative. What a stark contrast.

Negative experience: Used to be great service, now some lady 30 mins after opening says systems ‘we just opened (mind you 30 mins already) and system takes some time, to come online, can you come back in an hour’. Lazy vibe demeanor and they are busy unpacking/restocking of stuff. Seems she arrived late and wasn’t ready for customers, that’s her issue. Negative experience: Terrible customer service. The short female employee never seems willing to work. I've visited multiple times to trade in phones, but there’s always an excuse why it can't be done. I also requested to use Venmo, which is clearly listed as an accepted payment method on the website and has been used here before. However, the same employee insisted they don’t accept it. There’s always an issue, and this should be investigated for failing to honor listed policies. Was the only employee in store 3/10/25 1:20pm Edit: Adding a picture from the first time they accepted Venmo yet somehow, I'm now being told they don’t. Went to another GameStop, and they had no issue taking it. Train your staff properly; this location is just wasting customers' time.

Fantastic experience: Mel and Terrence took such great care of me. These gentlemen are both suffering in sweating heat because their business air conditioner is broken. They took their time to find what I need and allowed me to go their fan for a moment to cool down as they continued to stock those items and go through their renovations I'm gushing about this experience because the GameStop that is on 5709 nw 7th Street was closed due to having no qc and did not warn anyone. Why are these men having to work and sweat with no ac and the other store is closed? Thanks again gents. Hoping they fix your ac soon

Negative experience: The only reason I am giving 1 star is because that’s the lowest Google will allow me to place because if it was up to me I would give no stars. I was so excited of trading in my Xbox and receiving the amount that is announced on the GameStop website but I was declined that because of one Employee name Kenneth. I explained that the price on there website is not the one reflected on what there offering in store. He did not bother to check or even show that he cared. He made my experience at this store incredibly awful. I ended up going to another GameStop and getting my trade in at the price that was advertise with no issue. I will not be coming to this GameStop anymore and I will let my family and friends know not to come here either.

Negative experience: My man Kenneth R.. Boy does not have people skill. I had an issue with a trade in and he didn't seem too thrilled to be bothered to assist me. There was an issue with the price he was giving me for a trade in vs what was shown online. Kenneth's solution.... Tell me he has no control over the site.. Didnt even bother to look at my phone when I was trying to show him the official gamestop advertised trade in deal. FYI Kenneth, another gamestop gave me the advertised price without any hassle. Will not be coming back to this store.

Negative experience: I came at 7 to sell items. There was a sign “on break back in 30 mins” with no specification of when the break started or what time to come back. I knocked in on the door and a young man answered. He said he was the only one working and on break. I asked when the break stated he said it just did. I said I had items to sell. He said he wouldn’t take any of it. However I know that GameStop does that the items I have because I checked online. He says online is incorrect. I asked to speak to the manager. He says that’s not possible and shut the door on my face. Waste of time. He obviously doesn’t care about his job and was just looking to not work with people until the store closed. Don’t go to this store it’s a waste of time. Not sure why he’s getting paid for not doing his job.

Negative experience: Staff doesn’t know what they’re doing I go there to trade in my PS5 for cash and they tell me I can get cash and credit which I thought was good. I then get something else with the credit after the transaction is done I’m waiting for the cash and the employees look confused after I literally told them I needed the cash to pay off debt before the transaction started. Now I’m stuck with the product I got and no cash. Train your employees to speak clearly and less time star gazing. I also will be calling customer service and reporting this store.

Fantastic experience: Purchased a controller for my birthday and had to go back twice and to varying gamestops, the last one being this one. End result was a SWEET NEWER MODEL OF THE CONTROLLER! Warranty is good. First time was a year and the second time was 7 days. I feel like it's worth it. Other than that, I like this Gamestop! It's next to Home Depot and a pawn shop! I bought BOTW here and it lasted me like two months. Its also worth noting that for any Gamestop at least in FL, the tax is usually the same as the state tax. So you can Google 6% of what the base price is... Thank me later lol

Negative experience: Just had an experience that left me with bad feelings. I called earlier today to ask them to place on hold a game for me that was supposed to come with special magnets on purchase. Person on the phone said no problem, they'll hold the game and magnets. I go in later, a different person rings me up and says the magnets are preorder only even though the email I received said "Purchase this game" not preorder. So I left after purchasing and realize he slapped on a game warranty without deliberately asking me. Yes, it probably was on the pad and I should have looked closer, but he definitely did not ask me if I wanted a game warranty. So basically inconsistent messaging plus sneaking charges. I don't frequent GameStop that much and this whole experience basically reminded me to not bother in the future. 2 stars because the employees were polite and the person on the phone was very nice.

Negative experience: First when I went up to the counter to buy two used games they tried to over charge me on both games by about $20 each over the sticker price. After I correct their mistake and purchased the two games. They failed to actually place the game disk in the plastic game case! Unfortunately I didn’t notice this until I arrived at the house 35 minutes later! I couldn’t even reach them on the store phone because they don’t answer it!, I can now see why GameStop is going out of business, they just don’t care about the customer! Very bad service, will call my credit card company and dispute the charge and will never return to this store again!!!

Positive experience: Great experience..had so much fun. The staff made sure we were taken care properly. I would recommend this place..its quite fun.
