Fantastic experience: Was in two separate Gamestops about 15 min from each other between 11:30 and 12:00 on Tuesday the 10th of March and the guys in both stores were very helpful and polite. YOU HEAR ME GAMESTOP?? PAY THESE DUDES A GOOD WAGE!!! Especially if you're going to have them in there working by themselves.

Negative experience: Does not handle new drops well at all. Every time I go there for a new release wether it be games or tcg they are always giving multiple copies to each customer, instead of giving one per customer so everyone can get one.

Negative experience: Employees were attentive. We placed an online order that said it was canceled, but when we went in person, we were told that item was not available and probably bought by an employee beforehand. Furthermore, I now have to wait for refunds to be returned to my account. I'll definitely not care to visit this location if that is the case.

Negative experience: Didn't let us refund our $40 gift card after giving us bad advice. We wanted a card for our friend that plays League and the employee recommended a Blizzard gift card. League is owned by Riot now so this thing is useless :(

Negative experience: if i could give 0 stars i would. chris needs a new job that isn’t in customer service. anytime i go to purchase a game, if i dont have the pro card i get told that they do not have it in stock even tho online says otherwise. i constantly get greeted with attitude. i did not know it was a bad thing to do your job. anytime i ask for a price of something, i feel like im a hassle to employees. i’ve been in this store 1,000 times & can count the number on one hand of how many times i had a good experience.

Fantastic experience: Went here to get a purchasing issue resolved wherein I was sold a used game for the price of a new one. The staff member who worked with me did exceedingly well to get the issue resolved and, though they were having issues with the system, made sure to resolve the issue. I don't know about the rest of the staff, but John, the member who worked with me, went above and beyond to ensure I left happy. So far, this is the best experience I've had with gamestop.

Negative experience: Staff acted very put upon when I just asked the price of merchandise that didn’t have a price tag on the shelf. After getting the price I decided not to get the item and offered to put it back (the display was right behind me), but thI associate snapped at me saying “I got it,” almost as if they assumed I was going to do something shady with the item. At this moment I was the only person in the store so it’s not like they were in a hurry to assist someone else or anything.

Fantastic experience: The staff make this spot shine, guy behind the counter (John I think?) went above and beyond and clearly loves his job. I came in to trade in a game and buy another, and he lets me know there's a deal currently where I can basically get 2 games for a little more, I say good deal, then he slaps on another discount because I'm a Pro member, and I walk out of there with 2 PS5 games for 35 cents. THIRTY-FIVE CENTS PEOPLE!!! I won't be shopping elsewhere anytime soon.

Negative experience: Chris needs to find a new job that is not in customer service. Stood in line for nearly 30 minutes to have him be rude to us when we finally did get to the counter. We were trying to trade in SEVERAL games and systems and he just huffed and said "well it is a long drawn out process". Yea I know, I have done it many times in the past. But didn't feel like having to hear him whine and mouth-breathe while we waited so we just left and called customer service.

Negative experience: So this has happened to me 4 times in the last few months at this store. I get a game case off the shelf, bring it up to the front to stand in line and check out, and then they tell me they don't have a copy of the game according to their system. Either they're doing a poor job managing their stock or something else is going on. What I'm saying is, don't have the game case on display if you don't have any copies.

Negative experience: Chris is overly aggressive about me not wanting to sign up for a pro account. Then after aggressively insisting that I need to sign up for a pro account he refused to apply a military discount to my purchase saying that military discount no longer applies to what I was purchasing. When last week it did apply. Plenty of places to buy trading cards at and this GameStop will no longer be on my list of those places.

Negative experience: I had a really bad service at this store. I was trying to return items that I purchased online (still within the return eligibility period) but they refused to process it. I was told to contact customer service to request refund and process return which doesn’t make any sense because the quickest way to do that is in-stores as per website. My first and last to purchase anything from GameStop. So very disappointed.

Positive experience: I had a few reasonable questions about some products and, unfortunately, the attendant couldn't answer my questions, or recommend me a comparable alternative. It was pretty disappointing. The prices are also really high for 'used' ... If you don't check, some of the used items are listed as the same price as brand new items you could get at Walmart or target

Fantastic experience: We had a lot of games we were returning and we had to do the transaction twice but the employee was so helpful. I did not get his name but I did however get the name of his coworker who was very rude to him. While checking us out his coworker Chris made the comment “are you okay cause it seems you’ve been helping the same person for awhile now.” That comment was very unnecessary and Blatantly rude to say to a fellow coworker and in front of customers. He is not someone I would like to see there in the future.

Negative experience: We went in on the 10th of December and placed an order for two PS4 Pro’s which came to an total of $805.58. On the 11th we received an email stating the order has been canceled. After calling to find out why and when we will receive a refund. We were told CHRIS who placed our order did not process it and we will receive a refund within 3-5 days. We asked them to just place the order again and were informed that they are now completely out of game systems at all stores. The upsetting part is we now do not have the game systems that the children asked for and to top that we were informed by an employee that after a payment is taken there is a button that says process order, meaning no excuse as to why it wasn’t done. It’s the 21st and we still have not received our refund. I will no longer shop at this location again, the careless act and lack of accountability from the employees is very disheartening.

Negative experience: I was visiting the store with my sister for her birthday and was racially profiled. I was followed around the store (mind you it isn’t that big of a location). It was just mind blowing due to the fact that the person was staring me right in the face even when I moved directly by the door, just insisted on watching me as if I was going to steal something not realizing the bags I walked in with were tied up and I had just came from shopping across the way. I can’t believe in this day and time this is what happens

Associate would not allow us to even trade it towards a replacement game. Highly unsatisfied with his attitude. However, We asked another associate, upon checking out, he did let us trade it in towards another game.

Fantastic experience: They helped me to get the best price for selling my XBOX ONE and various games. If you want to sell an Xbox you have to bring in the console, controller, power cord, and an HDMI cable, and connect. (had to make a few runs back to the house before they would get me I great price). Overall the customer service was very excellent.

Negative experience: Walked in to buy a game, not to be served sas. I grabbed the case for a pre-owned version of Animal Crossing for the switch, walked to the counter, and handed it to the cashier. He informed me that they only had new but that one store had it available preowned, great! I asked him where the store was, because I am not from Virginia nor do I know where things are in Hampton Roads. This kid shrugs and says I don't know, in Virginia Beach I guess with allllllllll the attitude. There is no need for such tude. Will not be back.

Negative experience: Just bought a game 2 days ago the game will not work yet they told me they are not doing any refunds as of right now until everything is back to normal. Be very cautious with spending any money with GameStop as they will be sure to take your money with no questions asked sell you a broken product, just don't expect them too take it back since it may be contaminated. But that cash I gave you 2 day's ago isn't? Truly laughable. Don't offer any service if you can't provide a full service. Extremely unprofessional !!

Negative experience: Everytime I come to this GameStop I have an issue, and the funny thing is it’s only when Amanda is working. This time I went in to try to trade in my Xbox and she made it sound as if there was an issue with my Xbox not connecting to the store WiFi. She tried to justify herself by pulling out her phone to show me her phones connecting to it and the entire time her phone is trying to connect to the WiFi as well and she proceeded to tell me it was Xbox. She’s extremely rude and is unhelpful. I know there was nothing wrong with my Xbox and I just went to another location and they took care of me perfectly. She’s extremely unprofessional, and rude. I will not be coming back to this location ever again.
