3 months ago Negative experience: I called ahead to see if they were open and to see if they had what I was looking for and I arrived to a house that no one opened the door there was clear signing that showed it was the store and you could clearly see someone playing video games yet no one opened the door. THEY SUCK!

3 months ago Fantastic experience: James and family were so kind to let me visit and bring some of my classic game discs that I needed resurfaced. Their resurfacing machine is the best I've seen in person. All of these games were either unplayable or would skip. Now they all work! Two Dreamcast games needed a gentle microfiber clean and polish with 50/50 water & isopropyl from center hub to the outer edge, which fixed glitches after the resurfacing. James even found me a replacement SEGA CD foam pad for Dark Wizard and a GameCube memory card. Expert-level attention to detail and repair! I would recommend Retro Gaming of Denver to anyone looking to give their collection an extra life! ️

He has one of the greatest houses I’ve ever seen too- and he’s modded many machines and devices that’s unbelievable. My boyfriend and I went to this shop around August to look at getting components for a GameCube. We happened to go there while there was a garage sale going on, so he let us into his house. Then his collection of consoles + components were well organized, some would’ve been steals had we had more money. He test ran the GameCube controller and ports that we needed. The game we got was Mega Man X, and it ran great! The guy was super nice and wasn’t afraid to talk about his business and his passion for video games. Totally recommend- it’s not just a shop, it’s almost like a wonderland of games.

3 months ago Fantastic experience: I bought N64 game cartridge somewhere else and it ended up being a fake, i only found out when i took it to Retro Gaming Denver and they opened it to find it didnt have a battery in it. They told me and refunded me what I paid to replace the battery. I ended up buying the game directly from them and it is works great! Super helpful, communicative and friendly. Will be coming back for my gaming needs.

I am in the Denver area and was able to take everything over the same day and received a quote within a few hours and money was deposited in my PayPal account immediately after that. 5 months ago Negative experience: My personal experience has been horrible! I ordered a costume that said was in stock, yet it was ordered from another website and shipped to me from overseas. I was charged double($113) from the site($54)they got it from. I tried communicating with the store and was told to send an email to hopefully get the costume on time. I never heard back. I've left messages with no return calls. I've also been trying to return the items and haven't even opened the package. It has been several weeks and I'm now just taking the loss. The reviews were great so I didn't think twice about ordering. And the only reason I didn't order from overseas is because the costume was needed for November 15th and wouldn't arrive on time.

I was pleased he was able to fix my NES and he was prompt in his communications with me when I was asking about repairs, what was wrong with my old NES, and arranging pick up and drop off of the console. 6 months ago Negative experience: I called the number listed, asking for pricing on Nintendo 64, the person who answered whom I assume is the business owner said “all prices were listed on the website” very dry and rude, when I replied “well im calling because I was hoping you could let me know since you’re at the store” He replied “no actually I’m not, I’m not even in front a computer” WHY list your PERSONAL number instead of a direct line to your STORE? And then proceed to give a cocky rude attitude as if I’m supposed to know you are not inside your establishment!? HOW UNPROFESSIONAL, most legit businesses I CALL actually lead to the establishment. This is very mom and pop type of business I take it, which I fully support small businesses… but how dare you be rude to a potential customer and lose them before they even step foot into your building… he could have at least said “sorry, unfortunately I’m not able to provide direct pricing at the moment, you can call back later when I’m available to assist you or check our website prices” THATS how you conduct yourself professionally, good luck with your business!

6 months ago Negative experience: Just drove over two hours to get to the location, just to find out it’s a residential home not even a real store as pictured. Called multiple times trying to do the curbside pickup. No answer of course, rang the doorbell no answer. Wasted my trip and time to get my family some cards for a kids birthday no luck. 7 months ago Fantastic experience: I had an old copy of Skate 3 for Xbox that was pretty scratched up and recently stopped playing so I was glad to find a place that still does disc resurfacing and cares about older games and consoles. The resurfacing only took about 10 minutes and my disc looks brand new. Definitely would recommend!

8 months ago Positive experience: Got a refurbished PlayStation with remote. No problems with remote. Couple small minor issues but nothing that effected gameplay or connection issues. Tried out two games so far. Die hard trilogy works great. Jet motto2 won't load at all. Disc seems fine. Don't have any other games to test out at the moment. Price was good. Nice to accumulate store credit with purchases.

9 months ago Fantastic experience: Picked up some N64 controllers and games - everything went great. I also brought a N64 cartridge with me that needed a new battery (it wouldn’t save game progress) and he fixed it on the spot.

9 months ago Fantastic experience: Neat concept of curb side pick up. Of course very easy shopping on the website. Great on technical issues as well. I bought an X-box 360 slim from Retro replacing my old 360 which was failing. I was able to save my games at an earlier date but never saved my profiles. When the machine died it wasn't showing a picture. Thought my profiles were gone for good, but Retro was able to retrieve them off the old machine. Awesome save! Highly recommend. Thanks guys!

I called before and the person I spoke to, possibly the owner, informed me that I place the order online and I can do a curbside pickup. Shopping online was super easy, and the warranty seemed like it was worth it to get it, just in case. Fast, friendly service! Will shop again.

9 months ago Fantastic experience: This place RULES! I ordered a PS1 with 2 controllers a memory card and two games. The console is immaculate, the controllers look and feel brand new, and I swear if the games weren't so old I would not be able to tell if it was brand new or not because of how well they came wrapped and in the original cases with the original manuals! I played the console for about 6 hours straight apon receiving it and not a single hiccup! It's even pretty quiet for its age I am SHOOK! Lastly the packaging it all arrived in was done so well I literally have never received anything with more care taken. THANK YOU RETRO GAMING OF DENVER!!!
