Positive experience: Across from the Sloomoo Institute, Up One SoHo is a kid's dream. The bright lights on the arcade games drew my nine-year-old daughter in. Once inside, there are kiosks where you can buy a card for $2 and load it with points to play the game. Decide before going in how much you're willing to spend. It can easily be a money suck. For $20 worth of points, we had fun playing between 5-6 games. And we got two medium-sized stuffed animals, which my daughter loved.

Negative experience: Sadly a extremely rigged location. Claws are too big for plushies, and or the claw will pick up and drop the plush. Notice how their claws are smooth and flat at the end which is what causes such to happen. Will not be retuning & money has been waisted.

Negative experience: I visited a claw machine arcade expecting an enjoyable experience and the opportunity to win a few prizes. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. I spent $20, which allowed me to play five games, but I did not win anything. On multiple attempts, I positioned the claw perfectly around prizes such as a cheeseburger plush and a Kirby plush. However, each time the claw lifted the item, it slightly opened during the ascent, causing the prize to fall. This issue occurred repeatedly across different machines and even with smaller items like keychains. Based on this consistent pattern, the machines appeared to be rigged or intentionally calibrated in a way that makes winning extremely unlikely. I do not recommend or you will loose money.

Fantastic experience: Stopped by with my wife for a fun valentine's activity after lunch. This place was great! Super clean and inviting environment. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and even did a little reset a couple times so my wife could win something she was having a hard time catching. Amazing staff overall! Claw strength was really good overall - felt incredibly fair and never took too many tries for the claws to really latch on. Always appreciate fair settings on these machines - had a couple "one more time" moments before giving up that ended up being winners. Will definitely be back again soon! Walked away with 8 plushies - not a bad haul!

Fantastic experience: Best claw arcade my kids have gone to. They are running a holiday special for more credits. My son won the same 2 Pokemon stuffies and they let him trade for another one. They also rearranged the cases around as needed. We were here 2 days in a row and the kids are asking to go back already! Great place and great customer service

Negative experience: We were genuinely excited about the games and prizes, but the claw machines were clearly rigged. We had multiple perfect grabs where the claw fully secured the prize, only to deliberately loosen and open as soon as it lifted. It was obvious this wasn’t operator error or bad luck. Even the attendant acknowledged the issue and kept giving us extra turns, which only reinforced how broken the setup was. Overall, it was a frustrating experience that felt intentionally deceptive rather than a fair game of chance.
