Fantastic experience: Went in today to take advantage of the 4 for $40 sale and Thomas, the manager, informed me this location would be closing on April 12th. And, unfortunately, Gamestop wouldn't be moving him to a different location. They would just let him go. It really is a shame, not only to see a Gamestop close (especially a store that has sold games for 40 years). But, that they would just let an employee go who has given them a year and a half of their life. Thomas was extremely courteous and helpful and deserves better. I wish Thomas luck in his future endeavors.

Positive experience: I searched online to find a location to pick up Ps4 fifa25 disk, and it's $37 . When I went to this location, the guy told me it is $74!? . So I went to Best Buy , and yes indeed it is $37 only.

Negative experience: Unprofessional the so called “manager” didn’t know you couldn’t return some Pokémon cards until I asked to return mine.. this dude helped me get these cards and told me I could get a refund then when I go get the refunded he tells me he was just informed they don’t do that. Dont know how you can be manager and not know some stuff in store are not returnable it would’ve been nice to know.

Fantastic experience: I want to tell you about an Assistant Manager named Thomas. I was at a store in Garland needing to exchange some equipment, but within their system, there was some form of issue. The gentleman at the Garland store called Thomas for assistance. After hearing that we were in a bit of a bind, Thomas shut down his store and drove to Garland because he knew he could help in some way. He was able to work a bit of magic, and before long he had us on our way. I teach Customer Service where I work, and I know what it looks like. Thomas has the drive to create a positive experience for a customer, even when he has to go the extra mile to do it. THIS, is an example of TRUE Customer service. Positive experience: I'm typically a fan of GameStops across the board. But unfortunately this one while staff is pleasant. I don't care how much doordash pays you do not pick up a dash or if you do make sure you know that it's going to take a little bit now I understand this GameStop was probably new to the whole doordash GameStop I've taken three two from this place and one from town east. Doesn't make sense but the mall with significantly quicker In-N-Out this one I waited at least 30 plus minutes at this GameStop could be because they're new to the scene of gig apps.

Negative experience: I purchased a Christmas gift a game brand new in the plastic but the disc will not play the system doesn't even recognize there is something inside and THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO mind you I already had to go to another town to purchase it as the store wasn't open during normal business hours they advised due to employee shortage. GameStop you definitely lost a long term customer for this one rep advised no physical damage so no reason it's not working but he can sell me the same game at full price less than 40 days later.. .. Bye GameStop for the poorest customer service

Negative experience: I came in to get a price match on game sold at Walmart and Amazon for cheaper and was told Gamestop doesn't match at this time. Website for Gamestop itself says different. On finding the item on the shelf for a discount price anyways, I was told at counter that it was actually double the price and it still had black Friday discount applied. No help for the customers. This was your fault but seems customer service is gone. I will never return to this store and will make sure to tell others the same.

Positive experience: Always find what we are looking for and always have no issues or complaints except for this one. They offer financing on there website, like any other company does from a shopping websites to even a home repair service companies websites. No biggie right? Well, every other company can, and will, help you with the financing or layaway process in store or in person, but not GameStop. They really need to pull it together and get with the times. Send their employees for training if needed and while their at it, from what I have read in other reviews... All their employees could use some training on their people skills. So unfortunately, if you give mediocre service, you get a mediocre review.

Negative experience: I went to the balchsprings gamestop location and was told that their cellphone, trade in system did not work. So I went ahead and went to this location in mesquite. Just to be told the same thing. And decided to come back several hours later, which is today. And I called before going and not a single person answered the phone , terrible. And location on Buckner, no answer drove there and system down also.

Negative experience: Usually have good experiences here but this one rep was really unpleasant. Afternoon shift, female with glasses on 8/16/23. Would not price match to website price on items In store even though they were not online exclusive offers. When I bought online and chose pickup she told her coworker she “knew it was me” but still felt the need to smugly say “I need visual confirmation of your order” and couldn’t just look it up in her system. Understand the job is tough but whatever power trip she has needs to be checked.

Negative experience: I went to trade in an Xbox series s I bought brand new October 2022, I used it less than 5 times. Currently, their trade in value was about $50 less than I paid if I took the cash option. The woman behind the counter went to test it and after about 10 seconds she said she detected a “little bit” of stick drift and my trade in value would only be about $88 if I subscribed to pro again. I said no thanks. The following day, I took my Xbox to a different GameStop, the guy spent a few minutes testing everything out. He couldn’t detect the “little bit” of stick drift. I received $90 more for my Xbox than what this woman quoted.

Negative experience: Purchased 8 games (4 for $20). One of the games was bad. Returned the game to see if I could exchange it for another game from the 4 for $20 bin. Young lady (short hair, sides shaved) charged me regular price for it arguing that I only paid $5 for the game but since I'm not purchasing 4 I have to pay the regular price. A+ logic.

Positive experience: Always have the latest and greatest games. The pre order system half works though. I recently pre ordered Sifu Vengeance Ed for PS5 and they didn't have it the day it was released. Luckily another store had an extra copy or I would've been very disappointed . I'd give this review more stars if that didn't happen!

Positive experience: The guy who helped me continued to try and sell me a used item for a new price the I switched the game to one that was new he sold me a lie ok that one is on me I got wrapped up in the conversation but the biggest problem I had was he didn't count out my change to me just threw it into my bag with receipt I counted my change went home to find out not everything was in my bag. Kid was confused and try to convince me I got everything I paid for. Not worth the energy to argue.

Fantastic experience: Went to see if there were any good game sales and Pop figures, was not disappointed. I found The Division 2 with a $19.99 NEW tag and asked if that price was right compared to $59.99, they said they'll charge me that since that's what it showed. Also was asked if there was any particular Pop figure I was looking for(Squirtle)and when I told the guy he instantly pulled it out and let me choose which one of multiple I wanted. Will be returning to this store since I also pre-ordered Borderlands 3 from there.

Negative experience: They Put the wrong cable in the bag when I bought a used wired controller. That's like if you worked at taco bell and made bean burritos all day and all the sudden put meat instead of beans in it and wrap it up. You know meat dont go in there.

Negative experience: I went to trade in a game console on 12/15/2016 and repurchase a different game system for my son for Christmas. I had previously went to a different location but they did not have the item and was giving be full price for my trade in and stated that the only thing that was wrong with it was that the kickstand was missing which I replaced. I then go to this location and was informed that the buttons were not pressing easily and they took 50.00 off. She also processed a fully new joystick as refurbished and shouldnt have. I called and told her after going back and forth about the 50.00, that she took off for the controller as well and she stated that it was a mistake. I then asked for a manager that she informed would not be in until 4. I could not make it back the same day so I called back the next morning to speak with the manager who informed me of a totally different issue saying that the remote was sliding properly. I informed that was not the reason the previous girl told me. He argued me down stating that was the reason. I informed that I would be back up there and wanted the lady to be there as well. He then called me back stating that he was wrong and yes it is the buttons. I was like sir.... ok.. you're getting to cover yourself. Very horrible experience
