Fantastic experience: They have a pretty nice selection of Magic singles. I didn't get to play Magic due the time of day I was there but it looks like it would be a little too cramped for my anxiety if it were busy. Staff was polite and knowledgeable.

Fantastic experience: Bought a used XBOX One console here in April 2023 and it has been working perfectly for my family. Very friendly and helpful service. Just went by again on 2/27/2026 and bought a Nintendo Switch2, these guys know their stuff and are very generous with their knowledge.

Fantastic experience: This game shop has the best atmosphere and amazing employees! Wednesday and Friday night MTG Commander nights are awesome. The pre-release nights are so fun too! They even have great prices on all their merchandise. 10/10 recommend!

Negative experience: I’m writing to inform you of a frustrating experience with your manager. After my wife purchased a game, I returned within the hour to request a refund. I acknowledged your policy, but politely asked if any flexibility could be considered given the timing. The manager refused, which I accepted, but then he told me I shouldn’t have spent the money and gave me attitude. He went on break, and another employee—who was polite—said no refund could be processed without the manager. I waited and returned 45 minutes later, only to have the manager insist sales tax is never refunded. After I explained the law multiple times, he “relented” by claiming he was doing me a personal favor, which was condescending and inappropriate. As a customer, this experience means I won’t return—and I want you to know that both the mishandling of tax and the disrespectful treatment will be something I share widely. I strongly suggest you review both refund compliance and customer service expectations for your team.

Negative experience: DO NOT SHOP HERE. The only reason I'm not giving 1 star is because their selection of retro games and trading cards is decent. I regularly come here just to look at their Magic The Gathering products. Today I went in and noticed they were selling Spider-Man Welcome decks for $30!! For reference: These are explicitly NOT meant for resale and are supposed to be handed out to new players for FREE to get people into the game. Selling them for money at all is STRICTLY forbidden by Wizards of The Coast and EXTREMELY scummy. Par for the course with this store though. They purchase all their products online under market price and then sell them at exorbitantly higher prices than their actual value. They were selling a $20 Magic card for $40, and when I asked "are you guys willing to come anywhere near market price?" the guy just said "nah not really". Worst gaming store in town. You're better off going to Video Game Exchange, Dungeons and Javas, or even Entertainmart at this point, and you know it's bad when I'm recommending people shop at Entertainmart.

Negative experience: Stay away from this place, worst deals of any retro gaming store near Denver. At a glance you’ll believe they have an impressive collection, but they clearly order online and then resell 1.5x that from the CiB pricecharting average, even though it’s often NOT CiB at the store. They will not disclose the contents of the case to you unless asked… Feels like they’re often banking on your ignorance around how this stuff is valued. You could find better buy-it-now prices for elusive games on e-bay, not to mention they also put their ugly logo on their discs, which reviewers below have verified can cause damage if attempted to be removed. Combative owner in the reviews is also a clear red flag.

Negative experience: I usually buy cards wherever I can get them, unfortunately I will not be buying from midnight again especially after my recent experience. For context it was 17° outside and me and a few buddies decided to meet up and play magic. Midnight games just so happened to be the closest store and I remembered people playing a few times I stopped by. I walked over 2 miles to meet up and my friends had already been there for roughly an hour or so. We get to turn 7 before someone says we all stink which I found confusing because not a one of us smelled especially poorly and the chick who fell asleep in the chair across from me had a bit of a stench not that I cared. Not to mention the fact that they charge extra for using a debit or credit card and often charge a lot more for their cards then other stores. To sum up, The staff are unfriendly, They overcharge on everything, and are basically an overpriced worse version of GameStop.

Fantastic experience: Great customer service. Decent prices. Definitely not the cheapest but what you get in customer care, more than makes up for the extra buck you pay.

Bobby Lujan Posted on Google 4 months ago

Fantastic experience: The staff was very helpful, they were able to have hard too find equipment that i needed. Very awsome place to shop for those rare and classic consols . Also they have a variety of game cards

Landon Potter Posted on Google 4 months ago

Positive experience: Cool shop with tons of options and a surprising amount of rare games. When compared to pricecharging or recently sold on eBay, these games are at LEAST 25% overpriced across the board. Otherwise this would be a great shop! Plus they put warranty stickers on the discs of whatever games you buy. SO close to being an awesome shop!

Negative experience: I sold a binder and alot of my Top Card Sleeved Pokemon cards a couple years back. I didnt do my research on these cards until recently now that Pokemon is all over the place yet again. What they bought from me at the time was booming and worth even more. I am so disappointed at myself for not researching my cards. I was homeless, I didnt have a phone or good source of food other than food pantry. I was in need big time I can remember one of the employees showing another employee one of my holos saying I've never seen one in person. I should have done my research, know what you have before selling. They are NOT scared of ripping you off they don't care about you they want the most profit.

Jovante Hollins Posted on Google 6 months ago

Fantastic experience: If your looking for anything old school.. PLEASE try this place first!! Not only do they have a massive section for a small store. But quality. The 6 years I've been here I could never find certain games. I found a few here and there. But on my first go to this store not only did I see every game. But more! I walked out with Scarface and definitely planned on returning

Chloe Dieters Posted on Google 7 months ago

Negative experience: Was sold a faulty Ps1 controller for $30 ($10 over market price) that I ended up having to open myself and repair.

Michael Brown Posted on Google 8 months ago

Negative experience: Great selection of games and trading cards, but TERRIBLE prices and hit or miss staff. $600 for a USED Switch 2. $12 for booster packs that cost $6 at Dungeons and Javas. They sell WELL ABOVE market price on everything in the store and are never willing to even negotiate. I asked one employee why a Switch 2 costs so much when they are BRAND NEW at Target for $100 less, and he literally said "Then go to Target". Yeah doofus, I will lmfao. Thanks for making my decision easy. Video Game Exchange on Fillmore, or Dungeons and Javas for MTG cards will always be your go-to for products like this in Colorado Springs. Save your money and support better business models by shopping there instead.

Zachary Rankin Posted on Google 8 months ago

Fantastic experience: Great selection and friendly/knowledgeable staff. They always have the best ps2, GameCube, and N64 games in stock. Great selection for handhelds as well.

Carsee Tillman Posted on Google 8 months ago

Fantastic experience: I recently went here to buy a Nintendo DS. Prices are great. If your a retro geek like me its the place to go. I would recommend this place. Staff are friendly and well educated on nostalgia. I'll be coming back for more games and items. Thanks guys. Big thumbs up

Robert Horta Posted on Google 8 months ago

Negative experience: What a scam this place is! Offers 50% or lower than market value on cards you bring in and charges well over market value on cards and packs you wish to purchase. I brought in 127 Dollars Worth of cards in to sell and they offer me 55, I than ask how that could be when they offer 50% and who I'm assuming is the owner that came out of the back told me he doesn't know what card scanner I use but they go off at TCGplayer and I told him that I use mana box which also goes off of TCGplayer and he said well sometimes they're "midnight games" prices vary as well yeaaaa not today scalpers.

The Vampire Saint Posted on Google 9 months ago

Positive experience: This is just about the only store of its kind in the city, so that gives it an extra boost. The selection both for video games and cards is really excellent and the prices could be a lot worse than they are and the organization is excellent - you'll have no issues finding what you want if they have it. In my experience staff can be a bit hit or miss. Some of them are pretty overbearing, following you around like a thief or feeling the need to comment on everything you look at. It makes browsing a bit of a pain, but it doesn't make the store itself any less good.

Sarha Caley Posted on Google 9 months ago

Fantastic experience: Love this place! They have never disappointed when we have been looking for MTG cards. Very friendly.

Andrew Sadler Posted on Google 9 months ago

Negative experience: Don't shop here. I get it may be one of the only retro game shops in the springs, but they're overpriced (consistently 15%-30% over standard market value), deface their disc based games with an interior sticker ON THE LABEL OF THE DISC, and the employees are often rude. Upset that you even came in because now they "have to do something" It would be cheaper to drive up to Denver with gas to pick up something you're wanting. Edit: Owner replies by saying they "offer sticker removal." Insanely hilarious to offer a solution to a problem you created and would most likely charge an additional fee for. Game collecting 101: do not deface box/disc art so the collectible material can retain its value.

Shane Williams Posted on Google 10 months ago

Negative experience: Unfortunately, the guy working made me feel like I was inconvenience and deeply sighed when I asked about possibly trading in cards. I'm sure it could be an okay store it seems like they have good selection but I probably won't be returning.

C Young Posted on Google 10 months ago

Fantastic experience: Massive collection of MTG singles, and sealed, they have from beta sealed to edge of eternities with everything in between. Pokémon peeps they have singles and sealed for you as well. I think some yugiho as well. They also have EVERYTHING vintage games and all the controllers/accessories.

Fantastic experience: Came here for some Nintendo DS games and was extremely pleased with the selection and prices! Ended up picking up a couple items, and the man who helped me was phenomenal! Super kind and friendly, and very knowledgeable, every question I had he was prepared with an answer! I was very pleased with my past few visits and plan to return in the future

Matthew Morales (Macho) Posted on Google 10 months ago

Fantastic experience: I really enjoy shopping and exploring this store. While some of the games may be priced higher than on eBay, you have the advantage of being able to examine the game in person. If it's a CD, for example, you can check the quality of the disc before making a purchase—something you can't do on eBay. Additionally, if you think the price is too high, you can make an offer and see if it's accepted by the store's owner or staff. In the past, I traded in a few uncommon games here and left happy with "Rule of Rose" and another rare PS2 game. Although I haven't bought any new games from this store yet, I've mainly focused on retro items. However, I might consider checking out their new release inventory soon. Not sure if they have a rewards program or not, but it would be cool if they offer something like a 10$ instore credit for every 100$ spent.

Garrett B Posted on Google 10 months ago

Negative experience: Pokemon game was $100 over the regular asking price in mid condition, it's expected for many game stores to be $5 -$10 over ebay/pricecharting to account for their physical location hands on testing and experience, but they really overcharged for everything.

David Pham Posted on Google 10 months ago

Fantastic experience: My man G was courteous and helpful the entire way. He wasn’t pushy but knew what I was looking at and helped guide me through the shop. Not to mention on the way out they had a Card vending machine with so big hits in front, I thought what the hell and actually pulled a Stoneforge Mystic for .50!!!!!

taylor bron Posted on Google 11 months ago

Positive experience: They have an awesome store my only problem was that they are a bit over priced compared to other places I go to more regularly. Overall not a bad place though just be prepared to pay more than you normally would.

Negative experience: Over double market prices on pokemon is insane. Just scalpers with a storefront

Richard Cheatham Posted on Google 11 months ago

Negative experience: Found all my old rockband games for the wii but couldn’t find my guitar so I call midnight games to see if they have one before I go there as it’s pretty out of the way for me, I was told they have a couple in stock so I excitedly made my way over there and after a 35 minute drive I arrive and they tell me they don’t have any, I explain I just spoke to someone over the phone who said you had a couple in stock and the person I was dealing with just said “well we don’t” would avoid this place they seem like they either don’t know their own inventory or dont care to check for the customer, over an hour wasted I wouldn’t have made the trip if they didn’t have what i was looking for that’s the whole reason I called

Fantastic experience: Have you ever wondered what it'd be like to buy your childhood games and their accessories without feeling the shame and regret from your parents telling you that you should have stayed in college? Well, look no further! This place is the holy grail of local role playing, leg day skipping, and magic card collecting. It feels crowded in all the right ways, the lighting is perfect, the vending machines are stocked, and the staff is on point for needs, wants, and desires. Breathe in, mouth breathe out, we are home friends.

Fantastic experience: Awesome retro game selection. Was blown away to see how big of a comeback old school games have made. If you need it, they probably have it

Josue Figueroa Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Went in last weekend to look at the pokemon selection while on vacation. One of the only stores with decent deals on packs if you’re not looking for the latest and greatest, some prices were way too high, but if you look, you’ll find something not too overpriced. The singles are the reason for the 5 stars, amazing selection with prices right with market at the time of this post. Had a blast going through their binders sorted by energy, the staff was kind and patient while I sorted through the binders with my s/o. Had a blast buying a ton of singles, and will definitely come back when I’m in CO again.

Positive experience: Great hospitality! Sweet selection of games. Decent prices for Pokemon.

Jane Dear Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Love coming here to play. The staff are always super friendly, and there's plenty of cool stuff to look through. I'd be willing to bet that if you come in looking for something specific, these guys will do what they can to help you get it. The vending machines are always well-stocked, too.. which helps when you could hang out here for hours!

Tony Lenox Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: Yuck.. everything is way over priced, never going here again. Also, no interest in helping me look at games behind the counter. (Zero engagement by both staff members) I tend to be okay with paying “over market value” as I am supporting the local community and heck maybe the staff are cool and talk games/ make the few bucks extra for a cartridge I could buy for $20 On eBay worth it because well they are personable. Nope.. not here Asked them to see a few games that didn’t have prices and it was a bfd to go through the carts and they handled them/ went one by one and it was $480…$600..$150… and I am like nah.. I am leaving… Gross… been all over the country seeing retro game stores and this one takes the cake for being priced at delusional levels and the worst customer service. I don’t normally leave reviews but oof, I want to spare any retro gamers the drive/ gas to this dragon horde.

Timothy Nguyen Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: Dont spend money here. Sold us a game that never worked and accused us of “renting games”. Unprofessional and smelly neckbeards. Also overpriced.

Jabrien421 Posted on Google 1 year ago

Positive experience: This would have been a five star until a different employee than the one I had previously been working with walked over and tried to sell me the "Starlink: Battle for Atlas" starter set USED for $60 when you can get it new for less than $30. He went on to say that because it had Starfox McCloud, it was highly sought after. Go Google the starter set and guess who comes with it new for $30 or less...

Dillon Bridgman Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: My dad recently passed away, the staff was nothing but like distant family, immediately felt like i knew these guys for years! Down to earth, funny overall was a great experience helping me part with some of my father’s old things! I will be returning later today to sell some more because i have so many boxes to go through. (I’ve read som of the negative reviews left by some people. Karen’s and Kyle’s always trying to attack small businesses with REAL people.) don’t think twice this is the place to go!

Max Kane Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: They have literally every video game, and a little magic and Pokémon in the back. Cool store!

Lauren Wilson Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing. The customer service is unlike anything I've ever experienced. They have a fantastic selection and are so fun to work with! I also love that I can get my Lorcana cards there and they have singles for sale.10/10 Highly recommend.

Chris Latella Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: Nice shop, priced at the top of the market. Unfortunately both times I've purchased from here I have had to return merchandise for not working.

william paugh Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: I happened upon this place while driving by, and decided to stop. Glad I did! A hidden treasure of retro games and consoles, if you're into those things this is a great place to stop in the Springs. In a separate room they have a Magic the Gathering area that spacious and well decorated. They also have some collectibles for sale and even some comic books, though I think they could expand their selection of comics a little. I had a good time here and ended up buying a game.

Negative experience: Hate to leave this review on a small business but after reading the recent 1 star reviews, seeing the owners replies to them being so unprofessional, as well as what my experience in shop was… I felt the need to. Most small business are all about the community, considering that’s who keeps coming back, and the owner was very disrespectful just over all considering this wasn’t my bf first time in store. For back story this was my personal first experience, my boyfriend has been coming here about 3-4 weeks occasionally for Xbox 360 supplies. Now he bought these items and games from this store, with the games at 15-25$ each. Over phone we were given an estimate of 50% in store credit - we wanted to trade towards a different console they had (OLED switch). When walking in you could see the frustration on the owners face that we showed up 10 mins before closing, owner didn’t say a single word. He started going through the items and noticed 2 games were missing from their case, honest mistake but he seemed visibly frustrated for some reason. We have a baby and I’m currently pregnant, people are human. He put everything down and just walked away… never said anything again after that comment…. The employee proceeded to test the controller and console- which he was SMASHING the buttons like he was purposely trying to get the joy-cons to start lagging. When everything was “working fine” he didn’t even converse with the owner, just looked at us and said 50$… baffled we asked.. for everything or just the console? He said “idk that’s just what he told me..” my bf “well why is that? So 25$ for the console and what? 5$ per each game? You said 50% in store credit” he proceeds to continue to remind us no matter what elaboration we’re asking for his reply would be “that’s just what he said, idk” while the owner just… wanders around pretending to “close shop” employee just keeps shrugging and pointing at him… We had a 360 elite in GREAT condition- no dings or scratches, controller- was bought from this store, power cable- bought from the store, and some great classic games like midnight club 3, all assassin creeds, even a ps4 anthem game. We had more we wanted to try and trade but after the disrespect we received with those items… eBay and Facebook market would be way more beneficial. A complete scam by them considering it was THEIR ITEMS, we wouldn’t have minded getting 50% ripped off, I get having to make profit, But this was just beyond that. This seems more like scamming, was just the worst experience I’ve ever had with a gaming community. Like I said in the beginning, after reading the reviews and meeting the owner personally…. I see what everyone’s talking about. Also doesn’t seem to care about the impression he’s leaving on his community, he could have a lot of returning happy customers but would rather be stuck up and stand-offish. * even worse to see his reply. Apparently Harry Potter deathly hallow, fifa 15 for Xbox 1, anthem, midnight club 3, forza (came back and do have the disc) red dead redemption AND halo 4-5 are bargain bin games. Considering 3-4 I didn’t even get from his store. It was an Offending offer to offer 10$ for these games. SCAM!

Charles Cobau Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: First time in this store today. The selection is cool but it is evident that the staff wants you to just spend money and leave. Little interest in helping the customer or answering questions. You would think people running this type of store would have some passion, these guys just seem burned out.

Amazing Davis Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: We bought a DS and right when we got home it wasn't working. I went very out of my way to get a different game for my Husband the same day and called to ask if we can return it, and they stated I could within 7 days. I went in on day 5 to return the product, he tested it and told me that there is a 20% restock fee because it was working and the return was for "personal reasons". Litteraly the amount of time and gas I wasted running around the two days was already on my nerves, and now not even getting a full refund because it takes him 20% of the price to put the DS back in the glass case??? Absolutely terrible and should have been 100% disclosed beforehand. Thanks for wasting my time, money, for something we couldn't get to even work.

Joe Ostrander Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Great experience. The gentleman had the cable I needed when other stores didn’t understand what I was looking for. Thanks

Bob Mick Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: I found this place by mistake but I am sure glad I did. Josh, one of the owners, took his time answering all of my questions and gave me a lot of useful information about a retro gaming purchase me and my girlfriend were thinking about making. I really enjoyed the whole interaction we had and don't typically give a review unless a business really deserves it! You won't be disappointed by choosing this store for your retro gaming needs. Customer service 10/10 Knowledge 10/10 Atmosphere 10/10 Since a lot of what he carries would be considered "collectors items" they can be a bit pricey. Just remember that most of it is an investment on top of the nostalgia. Resale values of retro gaming systems and games will most likely only increase over time.

Fantastic experience: Nice people, cool shop. Best prices on booster boxes in town

Rich Bash Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: I come in here to buy MTG cards every so often but I’m going to stop now because of the owner. Whenever he’s around I always see him getting into some sort of confrontation with someone, whether it’s another employee or a customer (just look at how he responds to the 1-star reviews, zero accountability. Take a hint). I usually try avoiding days I know he works but it’s beginning to get a bit out of hand with him. Also, his prices are very high compared to other shops and online. Lastly, the return policy is terrible. They do not refund what you paid for taxes and additionally charge a 20% restocking fee. I notified the IRS regarding their shady tax policy and was told it definitely counts as tax fraud, so we will see what comes of that. Hopefully this place gets a new owner soon.

James Gonzales Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: After reading some of the previous reviews, I was hesitant to shop here, but I’m so glad I gave it a chance! The staff were amazing—extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and willing to help. While the prices are a bit on the higher side, it’s a one-stop shop for everything gaming-related, which is super convenient. I did get a little annoyed about the fee for using a card, but to be fair, it was clearly posted by the register, and the gentleman assisting me handled it very professionally. Plus, the store is military-friendly, offering a discount and a fantastic return policy that gives great peace of mind. Overall, I had a great experience and would highly recommend this store to any gaming enthusiast, or parent of a gamer (me).

Jim Bourke Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: I've been making these guys my main source of MTG cards as they've got some of the widest to pick from in packs and collections and individual cards I can't find anywhere else here in Colorado springs. Their retro game consoles/games/add ons are a must for any current or old school gamer.

Lowell Lucas Jr. Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: I didn't have the best experience with midnight games when it came to inspecting my console when filing a claim with USAA. My collection suffered a really bad storm that knocked over things and caused damage. I was asked to go to reputable game store that could see what the damages are so I can file the claim properly. I came to the store on a recommendation and had waited over 7 hours to get a proper diagnostic. While over the phone I was told they didn't want to ruin their reputation just to have a company pay for my PS2. I was pretty offended because I thought they were caring enough to help. Luckily I came by to pick up my console and talked about it with one of the managers who just assured that there's nothing he could do. Funny enough, I did get my claim back and wanted to purchase some replacement consoles that got damaged. I was then ghosted by one of the employees over the phone who told me they don't carry what I was looking for. So I didn't have the best experience with them but I will say that 'some' of the staff members are very kind and are willing to help you but just be aware because there are those who don't give a damn.

Damon Domke Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: The employees here are honest, kind and respectful to their customers. I have shopped here many times when wanting to serve my card cravings. I have tried a few other shops and had poorer experiences. Also their prices are competitive with sites like tcgplayer. I have never been pushed to buy more than I want. The employees are knowledgeable and will let you know the correct information on a card set. I have been other places where they will try to scam you. These guys are as honest as anyone I have ever met. If there is a bad deal, they will let you know the correct odds for the set you want. These guys deserve your dollars and I will go nowhere else. Needless to say this is my new home for cards and manga. 11/10 hope these guys get the best karma ever

Thomas Maestas Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: Pretty sure dude went through my deck and stole some cards I was trying to sell

Anthony Gunn Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: Don't buy/sell/shop here. They will undervalue your stuff and over value theirs. There are better gaming stores in town. If you take the time to shop around town or online for the things they have you'll see that they have it priced too high. I love supporting local, these guys are an exception.

Tanja Lopar Posted on Google 1 year ago

Positive experience: The store has better selection of games I have been looking for but one of the gaming devices I got I do enjoy but they could of easily made it worth the money they wanted for it but they didn’t. I had to eventually fix it myself in the few days I had it which in theory left a little bit of disappointment that they didn’t take the chance to do it themselves before selling it for a high price. But other wise with the other items I haven’t had any problems with and staff have been usually nice and helpful when I have been here.

Paul Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: Last week was first time in store and bought an $8 amibo for my kid. Said I'd pay cash or card because I know some businesses get charged for card. Was told it didn't matter and said how does $9 sound? That's a 12.5% markup. Don't go here because if they cheat you on the small stuff, they'll cheat you on the big stuff.

Negative experience: Staff are nice but they sold me a fake ps3 for the price of an authentic controller without any disclosure that it was fake. They have a good selection of retro games and consoles but just be careful when buying consoles and accessories from them.

Positive experience: This will be one of the major stores for old school games consoles, disks, etc. Once our summer outdoor activities subside. Very fun place to visit. Knowledgeable staff.

Fantastic experience: I dropped in to check if they had some old games available and they have a huge collection of games for systems old and new. They have pretty fair prices on rare retro games and consoles. Staff was very friendly. Would recommend!

Fantastic experience: One of the best places in town for Video games, they have a great selection of easy to find, to rare gems. Their card selection is also great as well. They always have the newest sets.

Fantastic experience: The boys there are such kind and helpful people. They helped me with whatever I needed. They also have the best freeze dried snacks in town. I recommend getting freeze dried big hunks

Fantastic experience: Have been down from Canada twice to this store. Amazing selection of retro video games and the employees are knowledgeable and friendly. Can’t miss this store if you are in Colorado Springs!

Fantastic experience: the owners are great they treat me with respect and they ALLWAYS take what ever iv got in trade that's pokemon/magic and this place has everything magic/pokemon sealed and singles and has been the best pulls in the city by far 4 me and who ever shops there oh and the vintage and new games and consoles they have avail is ridiculous and by far best prices iv come across in the city and again the owners and selection and prices is why this is my #1 choice in the springs let alone the state

Shawn Murphy Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: Selection is large and staff was friendly. Pricing was the highest I have seen in any brick and mortar in the US. I checked a game on just about every console and they were on average 30% higher than market value. Giving benefit of the doubt for fluctuating prices, I looked at sold comps for this year and couldn't find a single game that got any where near their prices. I saw a few CIB SNES that were in fair to worn condition that were 50% higher than high condition sold comps. I love supporting brick and mortar and understand the markup that can be needed but this was way too much to ignore.

Fantastic experience: I have a question do you guys have Original Xbox silent hill 2 Restless Dreams and how much?

Kyle Santarelli Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Well organized video game store with a huge selection of classic video games and hardware, employees made the trade process easy and gave very fair value for the trade. They had some extremely rare games. While some of the more rare games are priced at the higher end of their value, you can’t beat the ability to personally handle and verify what you are getting before you buy.

Fantastic experience: Overall, the best place to get your Magic fix on, they had everything that I needed, whether it be singles, foiled, and even cards from older sets to the recent Commander decks to come in Modern Horizon III; along with a fair amount of deck boxes/sleeves & dice sets to accompany with whatever you get. The owners have put a lot of effort ensuring that they keep up to date on the most recent sets for Magic and with fair prices that recurring customers can feel good with what they purchased, and they have yet to fail in meeting my expectations. Friendly greetings & banter to boot, it's a good place to visit more than once

Fantastic experience: Amazing store. Can't comment on the prices since their inventory is amazing and consistent with all other prices found.

Fantastic experience: Our's was hosted by the Factory of Terror in Fall River, MA. It was a very atmosphic and well done. The staff was a delight and took great joy in their characters. The actual games are a series of mini games and sorta BBQ style party games on a fun high-ish production level. If you enjoy some light scary themes, are not effected by smoke/fog/light effects, then I would say this is fun for everyone. Some people may find it semi tame but this isn't a haunted house walk thru or an escape room. It's more like playing in a game show. The cast, the decorations, effects, and the games themselves all make this 90 min adventure well worth the money. And it looked like they had several games we didn't get to try, so no two experiences seem like they'd be 100% the same.

Fantastic experience: Best place for 8-bit and 16-bit console service, products, accessories, cables, up-scalers, adapters, etc.

Josipa Lopar Posted on Google 2 years ago

Positive experience: Better selection than some of the other stores but at the same time kind of pricey. Just wish they took the time to make fixes on some of the stuff that are easily fixable considering how much they tend to charge for some of the stuff that’s sold here.

John Johnson Posted on Google 2 years ago

Positive experience: Great store and by far the best selection around! Store policy needs work however. Spent $630 in store last week. Brought back a PSP case that didn't fit properly and a N64 game I already had a duplicate of. Asked if we could trade items out. Was told since items were not defective, there is a 20% restocking fee and we're unable to trade items out. Employee is not to blame, he is just following his store policy. Because of this I chose to keep my returned money instead of spending it in the store again. Total cost of returned items: $30. You're really going to keep 20% of that? Even after spending $630 the week prior? Return policy was not explained at checkout week prior. I was only told I had 7 days to return for any reason.

Negative experience: Never will I ever come back to the shop. Posted tournaments to end up changing story about been last week. Now, charging a higher premium for the product that supposedly got damaged. Also, care some Pokemon games were not authentic.

Elena Roswell Posted on Google 2 years ago

Negative experience: Cant keep a story straight about their card game prereleases, seem to just be holding product in order to upcharge for it on release

leighton family Posted on Google 2 years ago

Positive experience: Great selection. Several well priced systems. Game selection very good. Average market prices. 5 stars if I could have got some games at more priced to sell. Oh well. Nice folks either way. Thank you for chatting with us and having a nice time visiting!

Positive experience: TLDR: A decent store for the average gamer, neat for collectors to see hard to find games, terrible place to buy rarer games, may as well be the DKOldies of Colorado when it comes to rarer games. Customer service is mixed. I had to think long and hard about my experience here before I could post a review. Overall, this store is worth stopping by. Prices under or slightly over the three digit value seem to be fairly close to market value. But the "rare" titles are sort of up in the air. Some of the asking prices were double, even triple the average market value. Asking 900$ for something like Rule of Rose when the average value was 700$ (now 600$). Is kinda crazy to me. But none the less the store holds the right to ask whatever they want for something. But when the store actively hides more expensive games because of "the reviews people leave about us". It's kinda hard to ignore the shady feeling some of their prices give off. Now, while reading reviews of this place, I noticed an argument the owner tried to use was "guaranteed 100% authentic" when explaining why prices were set the way they were. I could understand that argument for a good chunk of the retro titles, especially cartridges. But disks are another story. I know it's gotten easier for people to recreate CD/DVD disks. Systems like the Sega CD don't even need a modded system to run reproductions. But systems like the Gamecube aren't easy to replicate. So when you walk into this store and see a game with an asking price of 250$, and said game is averaged at 80$ (keep in mind this is a Gamecube game im talking about). I can understand why this store gets as much hate as it does. The final thing I want to bring up is customer service.... It was sort of a mixed bag. Two employees were working that night. One of them was very pleasant, helping me out every step of the way. Letting me take a deep look at everything I was interested in, answering every question I had if he could answer, and engaging in pleasant banter while I was examining the games I was interested in. The other one, however, was the mixed bag. I didn't have much interaction with him untill I had finished my purchase. It was after I was done that we really started talking. At times, he was standoffish. Other times, he was trying to help me find a game I was looking for. It wasn't untill I got in the car, my wife had told me that while they were in the store, my son had asked the price of a card. The mixed employee told him to look up the price on Price Charting. Now, it's not a bad response on paper. But my wife said it was all in the tone and body language. Very standoffish and bothered by an 8 year old asking a simple question about a card. An 8 year old mind you who has no idea what Price Charting even is or how to look up a card in the first place. Overall, this place isn't as awful as some of the other reviews make it out to be. But this place isn't as amazing as other reviews make it out to be either. It truly is a mid level store with an owner who could learn a thing or two from other stores in Colorado. It has the potential to be a wonderful store, that I would gladly make the hour+ drive to visit more often. But as it stands now, it's worth a visit, maybe once a year at best.

Fantastic experience: Only true retro collectibles shop with any quality. specializing in classic console gaming and nearly all new and classic trading card games. Well stocked in rare and hard to find classic and retro games, systems and accessories and a must stop shop for the hard-core collector. Pricing is fair,/normal market value. overall a great place to buy and sell collectibles, trading cards and all classic gaming items and they also buy and sell new modern consoles, games and accessories. They are open late, usually till atleast midnight most nights.

Negative experience: Doesn’t actually open when they say they do. Sitting outside waiting and the store is still dark. Staff was not very welcoming and seemed annoyed by my presence. They even left a rude reply. I just go elsewhere now

Milton Gribble Posted on Google 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: One of the best retro gaming stores I've been to. I would say one of the best in Colorado, some very rare games you don't see often on display in cases and prices are reasonable considering the rarity of some games. One of the owners even took time to visit with me about jrpg's and gave me recommendations. Will definitely be back soon.

Crystal Linam Posted on Google 2 years ago

Negative experience: First time we went in we were not ever greeted or offered help and everything is in a cabinet so it would have been nice to have someone help show what's hiding under all their junk. Thought we would try again but again we never greeted by either of the employees or offered help but after looking at the ridiculous prices they think their stuff is worth we realized the place is a joke. Good luck to them but I'd definitely suggest GameStop or Entertainment for a better deal and better service

Fantastic experience: One of the best video game stores in the area if you have not been here it's amazing. This is one of the best staff I have ever seen in a video game store.

Mike Posted on Google 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: This is a cool shop with a good selection. I went in to see if some old games I picked up were real. The owner (I assume) took some extra time to show me what to look for in the future. I'll definitely go back if I'm looking to pick up some classics.
