Negative experience: Yall sold me a controller with stick drift
Negative experience: This is consistently the worst gamestop I've been to. On two separate occasions I've tried to purchase games from this location for in store pickup only for their inventory tracking to be off and the item to be unavailable which led to me being refunded both times. I've never had this issue at any other gamestop.
Negative experience: Open sign on, doors locked. Couldn't see anyone inside but the gate was open and the lights were on. No answer when I called.
Negative experience: Store hours online and on the door say 12 to 7. Came in at 1 and the doors are locked. The cage behind the door was open tv on looks like they are supposed to be open just chose to not do business.
Negative experience: Go to this GameStop if you want to wait forever. They only have one person working in the evenings
Negative experience: I put in a local pick up order because they were one of the only GameStops to have a limited edition item in stock. For over 24 hours the order has said “pre-paring for pick up.” I’ve called almost 10 times since then to check in and no one answers. The store is a good 30 minutes drive on a good day, so I wanted to make sure my order was good before I drove over. So frustrating I can’t even get ahold of the store after calling 10 times.
Negative experience: Came here on a Tuesday evening at 6. Lights were on but doors were locked google says it closes at 8, checked signage and even door says it’s open till 8. If they were gone or leaving early just wish their was signage.

Negative experience: Do not get a warranty at this store I purchased a 2 year warranty on a controller last August and when the controller stop functioning properly this store would not honor there warranty. Very frustrating and a waste of money
Negative experience: great store rude employees the guy was really nice and helpful the other girl was just rude and ignorant we asked for help and was given attitude because she was “off the clock” while standing behind the counter on the computer she then was absurdly rude to her coworker and told him that he was the only person to help us not professional at all i’m just saying if your off the clock don’t you think you would leave the store or be less rude to people who assume your here to do your job.
Negative experience: Seems like the only good employee they had they let go. The young girl was really knowledgeable came in recently to ask her some questions person at the front desk was so rude. Think she was the manager won’t be shopping there again.

Fantastic experience: Shopped at 6pm on Christmas eve and the young lady who helped me was awesome. She was knowledgeable and so sweet even being so late.
Negative experience: It took over an hour to sell my console because they had a one employee working a month before Christmas. Hire more people please

Fantastic experience: I recently visited the GameStop near my place and had a very good experience. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, making me feel welcome as soon as I walked in. Negative experience: You can't use gift cards for digital purchases, I have an Xbox series s which is digital only. There are no work arounds, I can't buy a physical game and exchange it for a digital one. I can't buy a different gift card, like an Xbox one.. I just have to use it on physical items I don't want or need... in a world where everything is moving to digital, this was a stupid change. So my Christmas gift of a gamestop gift card was just a waste of money for my aunt...
Fantastic experience: Have a lot of cool deals here and u usually have very positive experiences with the staff. Sometimes they really try to sell you something they have a promo on but just know what you want or listen to their deals. You can do trade ins so their stock is usually full of used games and consoles you can get for cheaper prices.
Negative experience: Worst GameStop around. 12 years ago, an employee stole my entire console deposit. He was fired, but they wouldn't admit fault and reimburse me. I've pre-ordered several games this year, and I have attended every one that had the launch the night before. Got the call for Mario RPG and went to pick up my receipt when I was told that the "big boss" canceled it. I asked if I could just get it now and was told no. Last night, an employee told me I could renew my pro membership for $5 and that I'd get a $5 credit the next day, so it was like I spent nothing. He did not tell me he was taking all of my points as well so he could get his sales commission. I stuck around for the exclusives and the Funko Pops, but I will probably end up going to Walmart to buy games. GameStop is dying off anyways.

Negative experience: This is usually a great place to shop and the staff are super polite and greet you when you enter, however today when I went in, the lady at the counter didn't even say "welcome to GameStop". I've been going here since this location opened and that is a first. Furthermore, she made no attempt to interact with customers while I was there, didn't even look up from her phone and coffee, and didn't acknowledge that I was in the store at all. I tried to get her attention to ask a question and was completely ignored. Otherwise, this store has never been out of stock on new releases and is a good last resort if you absolutely can't find that game locally.
Negative experience: I usually enjoy going to this GameStop. Great friendly customer service typically. Last time I went in however, was a very big disappointment. I went up to the cash register to who I assume was a lady from training or corporate, I’m not too sure. She immediately pushes on the stupid paid rewards program, which is fine because I usually just say no. She then continues to push me about the dumb paid program more times before finally starting to ring me up. Then, as I give her the unpaid version of the rewards program I have, she again asks if I want the paid version. To which I say no and it’s just my dads account. (I am under 18 and don’t desire to set up my own account.) She then tells me that I lost money and tell to my dad that he lost me money. Definitely makes me want to sign up for the paid program after a guilt trip. This was a horrible experience all around. As someone who work with customer service representative, I know being that pushy will only cause problems. Seems management or wherever that lady was from hasn’t figure that out yet. Very dissatisfied with this experience. I will definitely not be shopping here much longer if I continue to be harassed like that.
Negative experience: I used to come to Game Stop atleast 3 or 4 times a week. Until they Fired some People that made it worth it to come in to the store. Now they changed their hours and today I show up about 10 minutes to 8pm (the new summer closing time). Some Homeless Lookin Guy with an Accent meets me at the door and tells me that they close soon and that the guy inside was gonna be his last customer. Never in all my Years of coming to GameStop has anyone denied Business to me as long as I showed up before closing. How would this idiot know I wouldn’t be quick. Regardless every single store (including GameStop) I have been to has let me in and stay as long as I wanted as long as I was in before closing time. I’m very disappointed in GameStop lately.

Negative experience: Not impressed with this Gamestop. Before stepping into the store I see signs “CLEARANCE Buy One, Get On Free on all Clearance Items!” Also all over inside the store. Well, I was shopping approximately 30-40mins in the store. My 10 year old was having a decent conversation and in a way my son felt hyped to buy a Naruto Funko Pop. I was on the phone with my wife and mentioned the offer and how I was going to buy a few items. Unfortunately, 30-40 mins into my shopping and already setting the items aside, the staff member said “just letting you know our clearance is actually 30% off and not the buy one get one free. I was suppose to take these down earlier this morning.” Time was 4 PM already. I told him this is why I am shopping here. He insisted that it will be 30% off. I dropped my items and instructed my son to do so as well. Rather drive to the other Gamestop in Taylorsville although WVC gamestop is closer. Ended up shopping online and got a better deal. 50% off for all Clearance Funko Pops and going in for another shipping order as of this review. 6/18/2023
Negative experience: Mark said if I got a extended warranty I could get my money back if anything happened and I needed to return it I brought back with like a week and a half they said all they could do if give me in store credit would not recommend going to GameStop they try and sell to u but don’t want to help when you want to return

Negative experience: Not sure what's going on but this is the closest gamestop to my house I was here all the A lot just went in to get a new controller for my xbox I checked online before I came into the sto see what they had I get into the store they didn't have it. They didn't have the 9 that their website said so then I started looking at a different controller. Maybe that might work and they have the controller in 2 different places. Exact same controller with 2 different prices get it together gamestop. Were you gonna start closing a lot more stores

Negative experience: Used to be my main GameStop was going here for over 13 years the manager changed the past like month or two the new assistant manager I have never felt so much destain directed to me as a customer for me just picking up my preorder and buying the warranty for it and then getting told that it was a digital copy that I bought and that I would loose my bonus if I wanted a physical copy of the game

Negative experience: Visited this location after searching online for an wireless Xbox one controller. The website for this exact location said they had multiple preowned controllers in this store for $39.99. When I arrived at the store not only was I told they had none, I was also told when I showed them the online ad for their particular store that there must be an issue with the website, I was also only offered a blue or yellow controller even though they have white, black, blue, red and neon green controllers displayed inside the store! They also had a 25% off sign on the door as I walked in and wasn't given that either. This place deserves no business and a lawsuit for false advertisement to consumers!

Negative experience: I went in and ordered an Xbox One Kinect. When I was looking at the shipping I paid extra for 1-2 days and they assured me it would be there by then. It has been a week and they're still telling me that it will be another few days. When I asked for a refund on the shipping they said I have to receive the product first. If you shop through gamestop don't use their online shipping because they clearly don't care.

Fantastic experience: I called this store to double check about a promotion on a game I wanted, but was unable to work through online. The employee was helpful, and told me he would make sure to help me out and would put the game on hold for me to come in and get. When I got there, he remembered what we had talked about on the phone and was helpful, kind, and answered a few other questions I had on some other games and consoles.
