It is clear that the dedication of the staff to customer satisfaction is a significant factor in why so many return to GameStop. Overall, GameStop at Jordan Landing is highly recommended for those looking for a welcoming atmosphere, knowledgeable staff, and a vast selection of gaming merchandise.
GameStop: Reviews
Positive experience: This is the closest GameStop to my house and it's not bad. Staff is overall nice, selection is your basic GameStop selection. Sometimes you can find some treasures. The downside is of course the smell, but I can't blame the store for that it is totally a property management issue. The fact that Jordan Landing hasn't done something about it is beyond me. I keep coming back so they are clearly doing something right.
Negative experience: Smells like something there passed away, staff wasn’t helpful and wasn’t even on the floor for another 15 minutes when i came in. Terrible customer service!
Fantastic experience: Buenos productos
Fantastic experience: Mmmm Nintendo switch 2
Fantastic experience: Excellent location. The associate I worked with, Nick, was very knowledgeable and does an excellent job running this store.
Positive experience: Friendly service. Great way to get info on what is up coming.
Negative experience: Staff is great and friendly but OMG the smell is HORRIBLE. Guy working saw me covering my nose, apologized and explained that there is some sort of sewage issue at the building. But at this point corporate needs to get involved bc it is VILE.
Negative experience: Horrible when me and husband walked in it smell like they had diarrhea all over the shop then they had boxes everywhere where you couldn't walk about and then it took the guy checking out litery over 30 minutes just to do a basic return and exchange for 4 games do not recommend go go somewhere else
Negative experience: The good, Staff has always been great. The bad, store smells like raw sewage. Store is way to packed with junk, it’s honestly a little hard to move if more the a few people are in the store. Again crew has always been nice and I don’t think the sewage is a GameStop thing but a building thing.
Negative experience: One star is too generous for this olfactory assault on humanity. From the moment I crossed the threshold, I was greeted by a stench so profound it felt like a physical blow. Imagine if a garbage truck filled with expired energy drinks collided with a foot fungus convention – that's the baseline. Then, layer on the subtle notes of stale pizza, forgotten gym socks, and a hint of regret. I swear, the air hung heavy, like a swamp gas of despair. The games themselves seemed to be weeping, their vibrant covers dulled by the sheer misery of their surroundings. I attempted to browse, but each breath was a gamble, a Russian roulette of repulsive odors. The employees, bless their souls (or curse them, I'm not sure which), appeared to be nose-blind, offering chipper greetings while standing knee-deep in this miasma of funk. I'm convinced this GameStop is a biohazard. I wouldn't be surprised if scientists started studying it to understand the limits of human endurance. Avoid at all costs, unless you're conducting research on the evolution of new and terrifying smells. Bring hazmat suits and a strong sense of denial. You've been warned.
Fantastic experience: If I could give them more stars, I would amazing customer service great knowledge of their product and amazing assistance. All around 20 out of 10 will be returning to purchase All of my gaming needs
Fantastic experience: Ruben is THE BEST!! He went out of his way to help me and i really appreciate his kindness. He deserves a raise!
Positive experience: Standard GameStop. - High prices, pushy practices, Penny's on the dollar for trades. I sure miss Blockbuster, Game Grazy/Hollywood Video, and Rhino Games. + Occasionally good used games on the shelf, It's a chain of video game stores selling physical disks. I want them to survive so prices don't spike even more.
Positive experience: Manager is super helpful and nice, staff are good. This location has lots of Pokémon plush, just don't expect ANY cards though as scalpers pick it clean the moment they come to the store. Sad day for kids and fans on that. Game selection is pretty good though I wish they had a bigger selection of used games, but all stores seem to be slimmer these days as of 5 years ago in that department. Store is clean and tidy.
Fantastic experience: They attended us good, very nice, helped us good, etc……
Negative experience: worker with black and terrible colored green hair is super weird towards customers! I was looking at funko pops and heard her passive aggressively tell a a child and mom that she just loves when they come in because they “whisper” when they talk to her, she was clearly just being mean towards them. Immature behavior! And she is basically with holding Pokémon cards.
Negative experience: Try to return my video game that was unopened, but they would not return. It told me to try selling it on eBay or KSL.
Fantastic experience: Karime is amazing! Extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Would recommend going to this location for the experience and help she provides.
Negative experience: Online shows they close at 9pm the store sign shows 10pm I got there at 8:01pm to find the doors locked and have someone drop the gate in front of me. Waste of time fix your hours so people don’t come out just to be turned away.
Negative experience: I don't know why they hire the people they do. They hire the most unconnected people to gaming for a game store I have ever seen not to mention the girl who opened the store 4/22/25 couldn't even open on time. If this is the future of GameStop please do yourself a favor and just close down
Negative experience: Slowest service ever! I was waiting in line for more than 20 minutes.
Fantastic experience: Their Always friendly here.
Negative experience: Rude employee. Won't be coming back.
Negative experience: an embolden employee (Kaitlin) asked me if my dog was a service dog. I said no and she told me to take my dog outside because she is not a service dog even though I have brought my dog to this locations dozens of times before. Told her i would take my business elsewhere. what a joke
Fantastic experience: Always great and very helpful at this location!
Negative experience: Not sure if the manager had something to prove or a bad day, but the way she treated us was pretty messed up. All my mother wanted to do was get her grandson a video game for his birthday and she accidentally gave the wrong card to be processed, but immediately caught it and asked just for a cancellation or a refund. Which isn't that hard to do, especially having worked for the GameStop industry for several years myself. She was extremely condescending, rude, snatching receipts, throwing cards and the game at my son and mother refusing to be helpful, which my mother, within her right, asked to speak with another store to process the refund. They, like normal kind and amazing. GameStop employees are, process the refund. Liquidly split and we're super kind. I really hope that she can heal, the manager I guess is her title, because you definitely have to be a hurt person to be so unnecessarily, inconveniencing and rude over a minor fix. Definitely needs to find another job because this woman has not seen what the holidays at GameStop can truly be like.
Negative experience: Posted time of opening is not correct on Google also their listed time of opening is not accurate. Late opening as well as closing during business hours.
Fantastic experience: Gys was fantastic 10/10 He was closing the store and heard me dramatically scream as a joke that it was closed, to which he opened the door and asked if I knew what I wanted. He worked with me and didn't even look upset about it. Best worker ever.
Fantastic experience: Great deals on used gaming systems, games and accessories.
Positive experience: Went in and got what I wanted quick and easy. They still had the new Zelda game in stock and the representative was friendly. I always feel like I receive backhanded comments about not preordering the game though. Maybe let me use the $5 pro membership bonus for that or don’t complain I don’t choose to preorder.
Fantastic experience: Austin was chill. I didn’t know he’d be chill like that
Fantastic experience: GameStop at Jordan Landing has been my go-to spot for a while now, and for good reason. They’ve got a solid variety of games, whether you’re into the latest releases or hunting for something a bit more retro. The selection always keeps me coming back. But what really sets this location apart is the staff. They’re always super helpful and genuinely know their stuff. Whether I’m looking for a recommendation or just need a hand finding something, those guys never disappoint. It’s nice to have a place where you feel like they’ve got your back every time you walk in. Definitely recommend stopping by if you’re a gamer in the area!
Fantastic experience: The employees were helpful
Negative experience: Showed up at 6 in the middle of the week, and the place was all closed down despite the hours on both Google and their own door stating they’re open until 8
Fantastic experience: I came in clueless, trying to find out if my PlayStation 2 still worked. Gus was amazingly brilliant and helped do a complete problem solve/tech-support job. He helped me get my system up and running. He is very skilled in his customer service, (patience, kindness these things go along way), and his knowledge base of the systems and what they were worth as well as how to keep them working was priceless. Thank you so much Gus for all your help I highly recommend anyone coming in, as he represented GameStop very well. This guy deserves bonus!
Negative experience: I tried returning a game within 7 day time frame and the person working[aaron] said I should wait to see if the guy on fb marketplace goes through with selling me the game cheaper than what I bought it for through gamestop. I didn't want to but ended up listening to him. He said i had 15 days to return it. Then I tried coming back after 9 days since purchase and he tells me oh 15 days is only for store credit, 7 days is for cash back. He didn't tell me that up front. Shouldn't have listened to him, cause he left out the details about cash vs store credit. They need to disclose return time frames more clearly
Fantastic experience: Friendly
Fantastic experience: I usually have good experiences at this store but today I had an amazing experience. I usually do the surveys on the receipt but I guess that's no longer a thing. I really wanted to leave positive feedback for Joe, he did a great job helping me out and was extremely friendly and cracking some solid humor even though I came in right at close. I am used to people being upset or cranky when I end up doing this (graveyard schedule can be rough for me to get things done) his professionalism and happy attitude to helping me out was very appreciated and I want other customers and gamestop employees to know how much I enjoyed Joe and his service tonight. Thanks again!!!
Fantastic experience: I haven't been into a gamestop in a while but I felt super welcomed into this store. There was an employee named Gus that was super knowledgeable and helped me find what I was looking for, he even had some good jokes! Gamestop, if you're reading this, give this man a raise Gus really helped me rekindle my love for brick and mortar stores! 10/10
Negative experience: DO NOT BUY NEW HEADSETS UNLESS YOU KNOW THEYRE EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT. Usually pretty happy with this shop and employees, BUT, bought a headset on an employees recommendation which turned out to have a known issue with the mic. I was offered a warranty in the event of it breaking, which I turned down, and then find out after asking about returns that the warranty would allow me to return this expensive garbage. I was NOT told this upon purchase. Now I have a headset to unload somewhere, what a waste. Shop online!
Negative experience: The last time I was in store took 25 min just to ask if they had power cord for a xbox-one s as. All ways they did not have in stock. Then they tried to sell me a cord to a xbox one that was 3 time the cost a single. I think I'll taking my bissness any place but there
Negative experience: I am writing to request the cancellation of my GameStop Pro membership, with membership number #............ My request stems from the recent change regarding the acceptance of the $5 Pro monthly rewards on gift card purchases. As an active member, I have greatly appreciated the benefits and rewards that come with the GameStop Pro membership, including the $5 monthly reward. However, learning that this reward can no longer be used for gift card purchases has been disappointing and has significantly impacted my shopping experience with GameStop. As a direct consequence of this change, I find myself reconsidering my loyalty to GameStop. I have been a loyal customer for a considerable amount of time, but this alteration in the rewards system has made me reassess the value of maintaining my Pro membership. Given the circumstances, I kindly request the cancellation of my GameStop Pro membership effective immediately. I would appreciate it if you could confirm the cancellation and provide any necessary information regarding the process. I want to emphasize that my decision to cancel my membership is not solely due to this recent policy change, but a reflection of my overall satisfaction with GameStop’s decline in services including practices from managers. they steal discounts and rewards from customers. (I was told he has done this many times.) And other rude and unprofessional behavior I have received from them. Behaviors I have reported in the past yet never get addressed, Leading me to believe that GameStop supports and encourages this treatment of its customers.
Fantastic experience: Employee was very helpful and friendly. Provided info about games and membership.
Negative experience: Nobody's working during open hours, Absolutely ridiculous. This store sucks.
Fantastic experience: Got the discount arcanine backpack, super cute and nice guy at the counter
Negative experience: The game I wanted is $15 on the Xbox store and they wanted $30 for a pre-owned version... I hope they just go out of business already.
Negative experience: Went to the store 01-04 at 745 pm to buy a ps5 controller with my son , Kyle was extremely rude and had poor attitude , we were standing in front of him waiting for him to sell me the controller for 5 minutes and he completely ignored us, I ended up going to a different store to buy the controllers, one of my friends told me about his attitude and I didn’t want a believe him , but now I will never go to the store because him . Manager should have a conversation with him about his attitude! Thanks
Negative experience: Terrible service they don't even answer phones
Negative experience: Pre-ordered the constellation bundle for Warfield and was told I would be able to pick it up today. Went in and was then told that it wasn't there and that the last time this happened it was over a week before the preorders arrived and that if I wanted the game and to play it early that I just should have preordered it digitally. I really used to love GameStop because they where a great source of video games. Now I am gonna be taking my business elsewhere because this isn't the first time this kinda thing has happened.
Fantastic experience: My new store location fast friendly clean and knowledgeable. It's a little further than my old store
Negative experience: Staff was so concerned with pushing a membership/warranty that they failed to add a gift card to my receipt like I'd asked. On reflection, I'm glad it worked out that way. I no longer want to support a business with such backwards, aggressive business tactics. It's insulting to be treated derisively when you decline a 1 year warranty for a brand new game. (Never buy it!) I've been gaming for 25 years and the only issues I've ever had with gaming hardware have been with used purchases from gamestop. I'll not be returning.
Negative experience: I went in to get a game I preordered that was supposed to come with a free plague which was the only reason I ordered it at gamestop. When I went in to get the game I asked where the plaque was and they said they had ran out and that it was "first come first served" which was never mentioned when I had come in to place the order or when I had saw the deal online. Otherwise I would have ordered somewhere else.
Negative experience: Don't go here
Fantastic experience: God's attention
Negative experience: Went in to support a local GameStop to order a game. Girl there told me they didn’t have it but they could get it from American fork to my house in 3 days. I proceeded to ask her to call them an verify and she basically kindly refused to do so, and insisted they had it. Against my better judgment I went ahead to order it, well it’s been 3 weeks, no game, tracking shows it’s coming from Arizona and that they just dropped it off to be shipped out. This is why shops like this are failing, I could of ordered it on Amazon for half the price, and got it same day. Won’t waste my time or money returning. Out of pure spite if the game ever arrives I will return it and order it on Amazon.
Negative experience: Apparently some of the employees here like to judge and make fun of customers. They think they are are being slick about it, but it's a small store. Customers can hear you.
Negative experience: I went in here because I ordered a use game online that didn’t include the download code, which the listing said nothing about it not being including. The lady here, who I’m pretty sure was a manager, was no help at all and told me that I should know used games never come with download codes or DLC and wasn’t willing to help me out in anyway. I went to a different Gamestop and they were very understanding and acknowledged that their website is very misleading. They gave me a gift card and told me they were sorry for my bad experience. I didn’t even get upset or anything, they were just a lot more focused on customer satisfaction than this one was. Definitely won’t go back here.
Positive experience: Smaller (physically) specialty store. Great place for getting console games and accessories. Members get $ off each month.
Positive experience: Friendly staff
Negative experience: I'll never come here again. I've been coming to this location for years. My recent visit was my last. I went in to trade some games and to buy a new one. The female employee with blue hair who "helped" me was incredibly rude. She would not take my game, would not tell me why, and refused to help me find another location that had the game I wanted. I have no idea how someone can be so rude, but I don't plan on returning to find out. Not sure how Gamestop can afford to have such careless employees
Negative experience: I went into this game stop earlier today and there was a employee that was on the chubby side and had on a long black sleeve shirt and had lettering all around it in gray, I went into take my consoles in and transfer my credit that I had for a pokémon game that's coming up this month. The lady that I'm speaking about was very unprofessional and rude!, She wasn't paying attention to what she was doing because she had a bad attitude and almost destroyed my Nintendo switch by knocking it off the counter and was picking at my other gaming console that I was trying to sell. She was also refusing to buy it when the other gamestops had already said they would buy it. She also was very temperamental when I refused to sell my stuff there to her because of her almost breaking my console and picking at the other one, She was also bad mouthing the other GameStop employees at other locations when I had told her they would buy the consoles. The time I was there was at 5pm. If I was this lady's manager I would fire her and make sure she never works in customer service again or any other GameStop.
Fantastic experience: Awesome
Negative experience: Rude employee
Fantastic experience: Bought a used Xbox Series X and it died in a few days on me. They were very helpful and replacing it and made the process super easy. Don't worry I also got a 2-year plan because that was not a fun experience lol
Fantastic experience: Subway sitio para encontrar diversión sana y barata
Negative experience: Hung up on twice because the girl that answered the phone couldn't be bothered to check on a game for me. Once she finally decided to help me she got very snappy "we don't carry those games and don't talk to me!" Then once again hung up on. I see why you guys are closing all of your stores if this is how your employees act. I'll stick with my local game stores from now on.
Positive experience: Call ahead to check inventory. Sometimes they are out on what you are looking for.
Negative experience: The store smells like a baby's diaper filled with Indian food, or the inside of a 5 year old cast
Fantastic experience: They are the best
Negative experience: Very unprofessional staff. The guy that works there I didn’t get his name. Because I just wanted to leave so bad. I needed help with selling my Xbox and a couple other things and I came 26 min before close and he got all rude and said I can’t help you today come back tomorrow I have to close the store in 20min….. when that’s all the time I had that day. I don’t have a lot of free time cause I work late. I had a little time to run there that day.
Fantastic experience: The best GameStop!
Fantastic experience: Always helpful and knowledgeable.
Fantastic experience: It's has games and game merch... Sweaters, game brand oriented merch, hats, socks, (small selection) ps5 games, ps4 games. Nintendo switch games ( on card or the actual chip) accessories, Xbox games (a fairly good selection) Ps4 drives, controllers galore! And the usual game lined walls. With some special merch that could be considered very expensive collectibles in the future. They also have a small section for those little POP figurines. And very friendly staff members that can help you with anything and everything you need. Especially if you are so out of your depth when it comes to gaming and you're just their for a video game your ( great?) grandson begged you for ( looking specifically at the old timers who probably haven't gamed since the beginning age of computer games, you know who you are .) They are experts in their knowledge so don't feel shy with asking them about something you might not know!
Negative experience: Guess what? You loose business when you dont open on time not to mention wait people's time and gas.
Positive experience: Stores are always understaffed. Also sick of your mask mandates. You just lost all my purchases.
Fantastic experience: Gamestop is getting better and better the more I buy from them. Great customer service, lots of stuff to buy, even outside of video games and consoles. Will be buying more from them in the future!
Negative experience: Cashier talks too much when there is a long line. Waited 45 minutes while he helped one customer and talked about his dog.
Fantastic experience: best customer service ever! stewart and cole are awesome.
Positive experience: Knowledgeable staff
Negative experience: When you order online and have it already ordered, you shouldn't tell someone sorry first come first serve and cancel my order I never been treated so badly and I have been gaming for 10 plus years. It's a PS4 not a PS5 like come on what's the point of having online ordering???
Negative experience: Very disappointed in this location. We ordered a PS4 pro online, this was the last one in stock. I got an email that the order was canceled and called to find out why. I was then told they couldn't hold the Playstation in store even though I had already ordered it online and it would be first come first serve. I arrived at the store 20 minutes later for them to tell me they just sold it. This is ridiculous when I already had a confirmed order, and they could not give me a reason why my order canceled, or hold it for me. I won't be shopping from here again.
Fantastic experience: Love the staff great place to shop
Fantastic experience: Excellent place for a quick trade to get a fresh game Worth the stop.
Negative experience: Giving 2 stars due to RIDICULOUS pre order fiascos on the PlayStation 5 ..... I am sure the rumors are true when I hear workers being caught in playing favorites and reserving pre orders fpr their friends or whoever pays most for a pre order....YOUR LAME GAMESTOP
Negative experience: very poor customer service and have wrong hours listed.
Negative experience: Incredibly unhelpful super rude when being asked questions about pre-orders. Also why would GameStop a national company only pre-order five consuls Per store when millions of people play
Fantastic experience: I was there right at opening. They were quick to let me in and were straight to helping me. Great staff
Negative experience: New dude is very rude and unreasonable to talk with you
Negative experience: It said it was open online, we went to the store the door was unlocked but when we tried to go in the employee very rudely kicked us out.
Negative experience: Would give zero stars if I could. Guy working at this location on 4/11/20 made me wait an hour to pick up my online order apparently out of spite. I’ve been coming to Gamestop since it was Software Etc. and this is how they treat their repeat customers? GameStop, you have lost my business thanks to the person you have working here!!!!
Positive experience: I have always had a mix of good service to okay service. Most of the employees are very knowledgeable and friendly. The games range from $10 to 60 bucks. They will always try to sell you a membership for $15/yr.
Fantastic experience: Friendly Stuff
Fantastic experience: Muy económicos los juegos y consolas
Fantastic experience: Gaming
Positive experience: We just stopped in to look around and someone came to ask us if we needed help. They're also well stocked on their Switch games. I didn't take a good look around at everything though, but it looked organised and clean.
Fantastic experience: There was a manager named Matthew, I believe, that my boyfriend and I were served by today. He was efficient and thoughtful. The experience felt very personalized for us. He saw/asked what we were looking for and then used his wonderful customer service skills by being able to help us see when our pre-ordered games were coming AND all the other games for our console that's coming out this year too. So not only did we get what we needed; we were also given a full list of other potential games we may want. It was more convenient than even googling what's coming out this year. He offered to let us keep it, and he genuinely seemed okay with it . haha He also resolved an issue with one of our pre-ordered games, by figuring out a solution instantly. Overall it was very welcoming and felt nonjudgmental. Such a pleasant and satisfying experience. I would recommend going to this location of GameStop wholeheartedly.
Fantastic experience: Customer service is amazing
Fantastic experience: Usually has what I want and employees whom know what they are talking about.
Positive experience: Great workers, terrible management. They never answer their phones and I get hung up on a lot before I even get to talk to anyone. Better customer service in person though
Fantastic experience: Solitary staff member working that day was friendly and kept the line moving. I don't buy games in store often but this was a good place to go. Price for a Nintendo switch controller was $10 more than on Amazon but decided to go that route so kids could enjoy their system.
