Positive experience: Don't sell rare old games here. They used to pay well but now they rip you off. Game changerz or world game store are way better.

Fantastic experience: They have a good selection of used games. Hours are a little weird, but doable. Closed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday now. They also can repair old systems. It's worth checking out.

Fantastic experience: A great local place with classic games going back to the first generation with atari. Way better place to trade your games in than Gamestop

Negative experience: I took in some dreamcast stuff. I priced it out ahead of time on price charting to sell around 350$. I was expecting to get at least half that amount offered. Maybe less even. The person helping me asked what wanted I wanted for it. I told him around 160$. He told me he couldn't get anywhere near that and offered me 60$ for everything I brought in without looking at what I had or even checking prices on it. I took it all to game peddler instead and they actually checked the prices and looked and everything I brought in. They offered 130$ Dvd game exchange seems to be rather In the the business of taking advantage of your ignorance on what your stuff is worth. Rather than Selling Dvds and games. I ended up selling it all on ebay hadfor a little over 300$. Dvd game I exchange prices are also much higher than the game peddler in salt lake city. ON a variety of items You are just better off in every way for selling and purchasing with ebay or the game peddler The below statement is missing details. I tested everything I had and it was all in working order and good condition. I said what I priced it out for 350$. I wasn't asking that. I had 3 vmus. A mouse. A console minus cables. A copy of caution seaman complete with case and booklet. 4 controllers. One white, one blue, one green, and a mad catz controller. One mad catz light gun. and afishing pole. The owner just proved that they didn't look at what I had. And hes trying to say they only made an offer on some of the items. They offered 60$ for everything I brought. Everything mentioned above. Your employee behind the counter didn't look at everything neither did he check prices on all I brought in. I know . I saw. It took game peddler over 20 mins to get me a offer. It took you guys all but 3 mins to make an offer. And it wasn't an honest one. Also if you offered me 60$ for 3 controllers and one vmu I would have taken it in a heart beat. Those 4 items are worth less than 60$. Your story makes no sense mr. "Owner"

Fantastic experience: This place is great, they have all retro games you want and hook up. The customer care is 100%. Just a little note, all sales are final. Ask before you buy.

Negative experience: This store is only open Friday and Saturday and yes, you could argue to just go to the other location, but to some it’s not that really convenient. You could just order something off of Amazon or eBay and it would get there by the time the store even opens for the two days it’s open they don’t want to take any product if they were open more maybe they’ll have more success in that location.

Fantastic experience: This place is such a gem! I'm glad they made it through the pandemic. I like going here to sell them my retro games or to pick up something I need for an older console. 9 times out of 10 they have what I'm looking for, and if they don't they will suggest another store that might. That's rad. The guys are always nice and in a good mood. I like that!

Negative experience: If I could give them zero stars I would. This place sucks. I tried to sell my movies to them and they wouldnt take them becuase they "dont have the shelf space for them". The employees are mean and disrespectful and gave us a broken contoller for our game system. Do not go to this store ever. Take your business elsewhere! Plus they are only open two days of the week. That's bad business!

Positive experience: They made me sad today. My last two experiences there were very good. They gave me a fair price for newer and retro games. Today I brought a collection that I thought was far better than the last two, and I really feel like the guy working took me. I think it's luck of the draw with who's behind the counter.

Fantastic experience: DVD Game eXchange is quite a place! I went in there looking for a converter cable so my old PS2 could work on my new TV and they had multiple options for me! I was also pleasantly surprised to see an array of movies and games available. They've got games going back to Nintendo64 and newer. I was also shocked at how well everything was priced. Great experience, with great options, and helpful service (shoutout to Chris working the front).

This place has a great selection if I had a few hundred more dollars to spend I would have bought more on my visit here.

Negative experience: The security of your store shouldn't require that you put patrons at risk of literal death. Take down that stupid sign and spend some time and money securing your inventory if you're worried about thieves.

Fantastic experience: This shop was organized and had a good collection of games and movies to pick from.

Negative experience: Sporting a sign that says you must remove your mask to enter. Ridiculous. Be better.

Fantastic experience: They have all the games you can't find at places like GameStop. And even if GameStop has them, this store beats them by price BY FAR. I was able to buy Black Ops 2 for the PS3 and they had like 3 of them in stock for just $20. While at GameStop it's $30 and rarely in stock. I recommend giving this store a visit at least once or twice a month. Maybe even more.

Positive experience: Edit: I was able to switch to a better controller with no issues. Thank you! For a place that's called DVD Game eXchange, why couldn't I make an exchange? Last Saturday, I was in the market for a PS2 controller and DVD Game eXchange had a ton of used PS2 controllers. Instead of letting me pick the one I want (since each used item is unique), the guy picked the controller for me where the start button doesn't even work. And even then, the buttons are well worn out and I know they have a better PS2 controller. So I went back the next day they're open and because of a policy reason I don't understand, I can't exchange my controller (the one I just bought from them) for a different one. And while the guy fixed the start button, I left ultimately unsatisfied because I know they have a better PS2 controller than the one they gave me.

Negative experience: Decent selection of nostalgia / novelty items, but couldn't even budge on knocking an item down $5 while I'm a hurting college student. No disrespect, but would have liked a little wiggle room to work with when the item I was purchasing is listed as $49 they charged me $70. Be careful with your business. Even GameStop doesn't price gouge this hard.

Fantastic experience: Loved my time in this store. Had a good conversation about all kinds of video games while also getting a reasonable offer for all my games I brought in. Don't remember the name of the dude helping me on Saturday, but I had the impression he owned the place with how proud he seemed to be of his work and the store. Turns out he wasn't the owner which impresses me MORE! Great staff, good selection, fair prices. I will end up being a regular I'm sure

Negative experience: Well I’m glad you changed your policy... 11 months into the pandemic good luck. Edited 2/22: are you kidding me?? There WAS a sign. I even took a picture of it!! Your employee was not wearing a mask. A sign saying they don’t care if you wear a mask or not and an employee not wearing a mask. We have been customers for years now, not anymore.

Fantastic experience: Super friendly and welcoming recomend

Negative experience: I walked in the store and they had hand sanatizer ready. Then I saw one other customer who wasn't wearing a mask and the employee who wasn't wearing a mask either. Very off putting. I went in looking for a Nintendo 64/games and Switch games. The employee didn't welcome me or ask what I was looking for. Their Switch games were way over priced. You can buy a used game from them for 50. Not a good deal in my opinion. They didn't have retro consoles that I could tell but I didn't stay too long because they weren't wearing masks.

Fantastic experience: We've stopped by pretty frequently to sell some games and movies and the gentleman that runs the counter is always very nice. He's extremely helpful and very friendly. He always starts conversation and aksed if we need any help finsing anything no matter how busy its been.

The only thing I could complain about is that they don't have old Atari cartridges and what not but that's really stretching for a nitpick here. If you're into retro games, definitely check these guys out.

Positive experience: I visited this little shop one day while wandering around with a friend. It is a neat little company with excellent staff and service. If you are looking for a game or movie, I would check here first. Unlike bigger names like Gamestop or FYE, where the prices are often inflated and service is lacking. I not only though the prices here were reasonable, but a bargain! They are a smaller shop so selection is limited but they were also eager to help track down something from another location if they didn't have what you were looking for in stock.

I recently had a bad experience coming in and buying a pre-owned 3DS that had several issues that didn't appear until I took it home. Initially, I wasn't happy with the response I got from the tech at this location but the owner got involved to resolve the issue and I am happy with the resolution. Awesome selection in the store, obscure titles abound

Negative experience: This is a great place dont get me wrong. but their prices are much higher than others. I also hate that I bought a membership card for discounts which they canceled even though it was a lifetime card. If you're looking for cheaper prices check graywhale or game changerz. If you dvd game exchange decide to respond I know times are rough but getting rid of a discount card someone has bought in 2017 is sad.

Negative experience: I had traded-in: one broken GameCube, a white 128MB GameCube memory card, 7-9 PS4 Games (The Evil Within, The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind, Call of Duty Black Ops 4, Days Gone, Little Big Planet 3, Dark Souls 3 All content, Star Wars Battlefront 2) to name a few. Two PS2 games, one Wii game (Spectrobes Origins), one Gameboy Advance game (Digimon Racing), and a DSI car adapter. For a grand total of $25.00. The in-store employee did NOT say anything about their "return policy" nor did he tell me how much each item was... Or wanted to. I had to constantly ask "how much are you giving me for this game alone?" After leaving DVD-GameeXchange, I went to the West Jordan GameStop to discover that 3 of the games (I'd traded-in at that store) ALONE were being traded back for 7-10 dollars a pop. I drove back to DVD-GameeXchange to discover that the store closes at 7:00 pm. So, I left a voicemail and sent an email later that night. Jeremiah Griswald or Samuel Mason, whoever contacted me via email saying "Our goal is to be competitive with our offers. I am not clear as to why the offer ended at $25, and although we cannot undo the deal, we will cheerfully increase the offer from $25 to $40. I will make the staff aware to pay an additional $15 upon your return to the store. Please make time for it this week. " I replied "Well, that's not what your website says. I WANT a full refund. Not a credit, not a discount, A refund. Nowhere on the website and/or store itself, is a sign saying "No Refunds". I've never heard of a VIDEO GAME store NOT giving back a customer their items. I'm coming back to the store today but not for $15.00 dollars, for a FULL REFUND." Jeremiah Griswald or Samuel Mason replied "I understand. So this is what we're going to do; you are banned from the store. What this means is that if you come back, you will immediately be asked to leave and if you don't comply, we will have the police come and cite you for trespassing. This is your new offer and it supersedes the previous offer. To clarify, the previous transaction is final and done. I rescind my offer to pay anything extra. You are no longer welcome onto our property. You are banned. If you come back, we will have you cited you for trespassing."

Fantastic experience: Has all of the old video games when you need to buy them also was the only place to have the game we needed

Negative experience: Great selections, garbage service. Bought 2 used controllers, hadn’t even left the parking lot and realized they wouldn’t work for my use. Employee refused refund, that’s fine as all sales are final. Employee kept saying there’s nothing he can do and is just following policy. Again, that’s fine, I understand that. Asked to speak with a manager and after a phone call to another store, we were told we could exchange them for one brand new controller of equal value that would work for our use. Fine, not ideal, but if those are the policies/rules I understand. By this point though, there are other customers behind us getting frustrated and as I’m leaving the store I see on the receipt that EXCHANGES ARE ALLOWED(given certain circumstances, which had been met). Why was this option not brought up before I asked to speak to a manager/owner? Would have saved myself, himself, and other customers time and frustration. I don’t see myself using this place again.

Negative experience: Bought a couple of games and a memory card for the PS2. Didn’t end up needing the memory card so I went to return it and was told they don’t do returns on new items and that wasn’t explained at the point or purchase. Lost me as a customer in the first transaction. Sad.

Fantastic experience: Went to DVD Game eXchange and bought some games and controllers for our xbox 360. We left with a kinect, 5 new games, and 2 controllers! They've got games in great condition, and even if not, they'll repair them for $1! The person helping us gave a disc repair on the house, the store was nice and tidy, everything was nice and cheap, but not bad! Will definitely go there again.

I asked him if he could put them on hold until arrived and by the time I got there the games were already ready and put aside.
