Fantastic experience: I've been to a ton of card shop I'm the DFW area and this is by far my favorite one awesome atmosphere great ppl and alway a good time.

Fantastic experience: Retro-Bution is an amazing place with great staff, retro games, card games, and figurines. It really gives people's hobbies their "Retro-Bution". Get it?

Negative experience: Sad to see this store go from a “5/5 high score” to”alien colonial marines / resident evil operation raccoon city” bad. I’m all for changes, inclusions and acceptance. But oh man I’ve done retail management for 8 years and this is not how to layout a store, greet customers, build inventory and revamp/relaunch a store. Just bad, the movie trading company on Hulen is still the best retro experience or if you are willing to drive, “found it electronics” in watuga is a better store.

Negative experience: Retro-Bution Games used to be one of my favorite stores. I was a long time shopper here since it first opened. It was a great store with fantastic prices and a friendly staff. That all changed with one visit under the new management. First I noticed the layout was quite different -- the glass cases were much emptier and the inventory of video games was much smaller, and the layout was flipped with game cards at the front and video games in the back. I thought maybe the store was shifting focus so I asked the manager (with zero knowledge management had changed at all), who was there that day, about it. I tried to be as polite as I could -- I asked why the layout was different from when I last came in and if things were okay. I don't know what I said that warranted this, but the owner got extremely defensive towards me and seemed to accuse me of saying she didn't know how to run a store, which is not at all what I was trying to imply. After I apologized and she explained what I said was hurtful, she said she wanted to "hurry things along", implying she wanted me out of the store. Then, the final straw came when I went to check out -- long story short, after I apologized *again* for what I said, she at first said "oh it's okay" until she learned I was part of a local community of retro gamers. Then she said, and I quote -- "Oh, that explains it. I've never had anyone come in from [your community] and be nice to me." I cannot fathom in what world saying such a thing to your customer's face is ever okay, especially since it was never fully explained to me what I did wrong to begin with. That one experience was enough to sour me from ever coming back here and to recommend against going to others. It saddens me dearly to give what was once my favorite store in the area a one star review, but I don't know how else to put it -- don't shop here.

Negative experience: Why do they not have or answer the phone?? What if I wanna call to make sure I don't go up there for no reason if yall don't have what I need?

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, good prices, and great selection!

Negative experience: My husband got me the Super Nintendo Jr. it was defective. They did not exchange it or give him his money back. PLEASE DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE!!! I give this store 0 stars

Fantastic experience: This is my favorite game store hands down. They have the best prices I've seen, and they are so friendly. Its fun to just hang out even. Sophie was the best, showing me and my boyfriend the different cards they had available. She actually got us into WiXoss and it has been so fun. I was scared as a new player but with help from amazing staff and the customers it's a really great time. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Fantastic experience: I greatly enjoy this store for multiple reasons. Not only is it a welcoming card shop to play different trading card games throughout the week, but they're also a second hand video game shop with some of the better prices I've seen. Their membership program has saved me money on games a number of times vs some of my other frequently visited locals. Their recent in store layout changes have been great for the players who frequent the store, allowing much more space while semi separating other goods as to not require shoppers / walk-ins to be disturbed/in the way. A lot of effort has gone into the store's appearances post 'new management' including taking a ton of games that literally just rotted away on shelves (think sports titles from elder generation consoles likes NES, SNES and Genesis) and listing them online instead of taking up valuable store shelving. You can easily tell the reviews of people who're upset because they didn't get what they wanted from their trades, vs the people who actually frequent the store. Nobody deserves hate speech directed at them, especially those serving the public as retailers. Both owners are wonderful people that I'm consistently happy to do business with. Make sure you give this wonderful place a stop-in sometime if you're into cards, games or gaming memorabilia!

Negative experience: Used to love going to this store with my husband. It was a fun environment with people talking about games with the owner— so much inventory to sift through. So you can imagine my shock and horror to walk in recently to a bare store, with patrons watching me walk in. The whole place smelt like sweat and storage. The front used to be full retail and Seperate from the card tables. Now all the games are in a back corner, counter is a mess. It truly looks and feels like someone’s bad garage. The new management is unfriendly, unprofessional and didn’t offer a fair wholesale value for trades. You can obviously see the lack of care for the gamer audience that grew this business over the years. It’s basically a card shop with leftover low tier games in the back. Sad to see this place turn so quickly. Used to be a afternoon destination we enjoyed so much.

Negative experience: Used to love this store until they acquired new management. Following a requested modification to a Nintendo 64 that carried over from before the management switch, the employed staff tried to imply that it was not honored by the store. Even so, they offered to take the request. Upon receiving the system back in "not working condition", I questioned why it was given back to me not in the condition I asked. I was then scolded for being ungrateful, again told it was not their obligation(even after they offered to fix the issue). After asking to test it in store and inquire more info, I was asked to leave the store. Absolutely unprofessional and pathetic. I will not be shopping here ever again.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful game shop stocking anything from Game Boy games to Magic: The Gathering cards. I love to go and hang out here. The staff are kind, knowledgeable, and really friendly. If you ever need another player for a Commander pod, just ask. If I could rate it more stars I would.

Negative experience: This place used to be really good when there were next door to where they are now and until they hired new employees now the customer service has went down

Fantastic experience: Shopped at Retro-Bution within the first week they ever opened and have been shopping there ever since. Took a break from retro collecting for about 2 years but recently started up again and it was the first store I revisited. The staff is always friendly and happy to chat and their inventory always has something nice. Happy to see they've started dabbling into tabletop events.

Fantastic experience: I've been to lots of gaming stores around the country. This store has some of the friendliest staff around, they also have a great variety of trading card games and video games and systems. If you play commander I recommend coming in on Thursday or Friday night.

Positive experience: The prices are amazing until you realize the reason why. Every game I’ve bought here has been scratched to high Heaven. I don’t think they have a buffer/disc cleaning machine. That aside though, the games I’ve bought still manage to work. Their membership program is not a bad deal. The staff seems chill but they don’t really walk around or try and engage with you at all while you’re shopping. Stores kinda small but even so the selection is pretty okay.

Fantastic experience: Finally! A store to play Pokémon TCG at! I’ve been looking all over Fort Worth and beyond and couldn’t find anything. Randomly came across their Facebook event and showed up for my first tournament. Everyone was super chill and had a great time. Will become a regular.

Fantastic experience: This place saved my childhood on multiple occasions, fair pricing, great staff very knowledgeable for both the seasoned retro game collector or just simply someone browsing along. Place does get packed on weekends but other than that what can I say they always have an excellent collection and some super rare items. Love coming here!

Negative experience: Been doing deals here for a long time, ever since they've hired more staff however. Customer service is trash. I follow the store on other social media platforms and a few meh trades that I thought were more than lackluster, I voice my opinion. Some dope perhaps a fan of the store made a comment, I responded back and the post was removed and I got blocked. Just saying how are you guys offering less money than GameStop and claim to payout more than the competition?, and two like I said had I went to the store instead of my wife I'm sure I would've gotten a different offer than what they gave her. I would understand if the store was hurting but they have a boat load of games ( rare awesome gems) for over a 1000 you guys aren't hurting , just being cheap. R.I.P retro game stores.

Fantastic experience: Went here for the first time last week and I think I have found my go-to game store! They have a way better selection of games and systems than other game stores and the prices are extremely reasonable. I did a trade-in and it was a really easy and a fast process. The staff were really personable and nice to talk to. I never write online reviews but I really felt like this store deserved a positive review because they are fantastic and they are a store my wife and I will be going to weekly to check out the new inventory

Fantastic experience: This store will put their recent neat acquisitions on their Facebook, and has regular events during the week. Some of their retro game pricing is more reasonable than other independent shops as well.

Fantastic experience: First off I wanna say this place is great, the customer service is great and the prices are fair. They aren’t over charging and price gouging like alot of the retro stores in the dfw area. This will be my go to store for any games I need. This store is most definitely better than We Found it, We Found it makes retro collecting not even fun. We gotta keep Retrobution in business.

Fantastic experience: I first came to this store because of there Friday night magic, but we keep coming back because of the helpful staff. They have fair prices and cater to magic and Pokémon fans alike. It is a great standalone retro gaming store as their name implies, but they have a more than ample selection of magic and Pokémon cards alike (sealed and singles). Friday night magic and Saturday Pokémon/ magic, really brings in the customers. We came for the free packs, but we come back for the service, fair prices, and knowledgeable employees. Great hangout spot.

We stopped in for the casual Pokémon game and the staff was so patient teaching the kiddos and helping them with strategy. We will definitely be back. Also they have plenty of Pokémon cards and accessories for sale while everyone else is sold out.

Positive experience: A Retro-Bution employee littered their coupons ALL over my apt complex mail area, there are dozens just scattered all over the ground. Not a great advertisement for their establishment..

Negative experience: I went to buy a game and was told one price came back a hour later after a dinner and it had a sticker for double! There are not deals to be had at this store you are better off buying on eBay with the prices and customer service. Update after your response— calling me names and raising the price almost $20 on the game after I came back from dinner 40 minutes later. I’m not going to argue this is just my experience and I would not ever go back. I understand you just bought that game on a trade in and quoted me a price, it’s your job to stick to what you said verbally, I suppose once I left you printed a higher sticker or looked it up on eBay.

Negative experience: Love how they have the old games I miss in love but customer service needs ALOT of improvement. Would be nice to be greeted and asked what I may need help with when entering a store. Made me make a decision to not buy a game, felt like they didn't care.

Fantastic experience: Great place wether you’re a hardcore retro gamer or just a casual gamer looking for a slightly non modern game. They carry not only video games, but DND books, multiple card games, and gaming memorabilia. If you’re a gamer of any caliber in the DFW area, you owe it to yourself to check them out. I’ve gotten both the Fallout 4 and 76 Pip boys from this store just because I asked the owner to let me know if any ever come in. He hires really nice and knowledgeable employees too, and I hope this store gets even more business!

Negative experience: Left me a bit disappointed after being overcharged for a used PlayStation 2 I’ve had store credit with them for half of a year now, every time I call they never have anything to offer me other than outdated overpriced games and an abundance of obsolete gaming accessories. Quite bummed out and feel a bit burned on the investment

Fantastic experience: I went in knowing the older games I wanted to play but not what system I needed. I got a Wii U at a great price and some games. They explained it to me,and even hooked up the system and set it up so when I got home I just plugged it in. Friendly, really helpful here.

But I've become a devoted fan for the last nine months I've been able to come into town from Little Rock, AR. The prices are fair, but the staff is not only extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They went above and beyond when I had issues. I cannot recommend this place enough if you live in the area and are looking for a shop to get games from!

Fantastic experience: Samuel was super fun to talk to and helped make sure I was getting a good deal on the games and consoles I was looking to add to my collection. I spent more time gabbing away about retro nerddom than I did actually shopping, which is exactly what I want when I go out retro hunting. The prices are great - generally matching the average charted price, or better, for collectible games - but the real reason to stop by is to get the peace of mind that you're not the only one obsessed with games older than the voting age. Add this one to your rotation when you're out on the prowl for old games- you won't regret it.
