Fantastic experience: Nice shop with tons of variety, they had a funko pop I've been looking for for a long time and they had some great cards. Got a few packs and hope to return for more! Store owner was super chill and helpful and told us when he would be able to get some more deliveries so we could hopefully get what we were looking for. Awesome place, truly.

And most card shops at launch will make up their prices to be greedy but Galactic is not them and they support their community! I preorder a case of Gundam set 04 cause I saw via Facebook that at launch they were holding true to MSRP and they did! They are not a close store for me but I will always support those that support their clientele.. so on that note even tho this place is a drive for me you bet I'll be looking to join some of their card nights as well as return as a paying customer who plays/collects!
Negative experience: The tall white guy in there is rude and being DISRIMINTIVE. My brother and I went there looking for a ps4 game and a Nintendo switch game and the guy behind the counter was watching us as if we would steal in the current timeshe was irritated answering our questions just to get back to talking to his friends in the front about cards in the display case. My brother and I are African American and having him watch us when we go to give you guys our money is gross. We didn't buy a thing because behavior like that is so outdated and not funny Tom your service is inconsistent. My brother and I came in and your guy acted as if he had other things better to do but had no trouble side eyeing us; he pulled away from his own conversation just to go to the other side of the counter and watch us. Please don't respond as if you know your staff superrrrr well because my experience was JUST THAT! I'm black and I don't go looking for people to expect me to steal so if I see the signs I damn well see them! Thank you and spare me that family staff bs

Positive experience: A very nice little retro game store.. Decent selection, good prices and a good place for Magic, and other card and role playing games.
Fantastic experience: They are knowledgeable and nice with great prices. They even do trades.
Fantastic experience: Great game store with tons of choice, lots of MTG and Pokémon. They also have quite a bit of retro games, and warhammer. Knowledgeable staff that is very friendly and helpful.
Negative experience: Be careful selling here. Watch your items. The guy stacked my cards oll over the counter, dropped them on the floor and when I asked aboit the card left he said it wasn't mine. It was 8n the pile of my cards he set down. When I checked at the car I was missing one so went back in both guys pretty much brushed me off. The guy lied to me as to where he put my cards when I was standing right there watching him. Funny that cards he said we're bent were not and he didnt buy any of them but the one card he didn't put back in the box was probably the most valuable. I won't be convinced until a video of the counter is provided that that card was already there when I arrived. Either way noy a good way to go through items someone brings in. Very fishy, especially after reading other reviews. Edit to store response: seeing the reply back proves what I said to be true. Your rude response shows your care for your customers! You did steal my card and I knew it. I could tell by the workers not looking directly at me when I called him out twice! I hope you enjoy the card you stole from my son! The cards I had were legit as I looked them up before coming there that's how I know yall stole it! But you deserve the card i hope you enjoy it.
Edit: I will be at the shop this Sunday between 2PM and 4PM if you would like to come in and discuss this in person.
However, publicly accusing our staff of stealing is a serious allegation and won't be taken lightly.
We repeatedly asked you which card you believed was missing, and the card you pointed to was a Riftbound card that had just been brought in separately and was not part of your box.
If you genuinely believe something was taken, you are welcome to file a police report and we will fully cooperate. But we highly doubt you will do that going off your other reviews you appear to thrive on negativity and not resolution.
If a report is not filed, we will be exploring our own options regarding the false accusation.
You have until Tuesday to file the report with the City of Fort Worth before we start processing and dealing with our attorneys
We take our reputation very seriously and will not allow claims that our staff stole from a customer to go unanswered.

What you’re describing simply didn’t happen.
You brought in a box of unsorted bulk cards with little to no resale value. We sorted through them on the counter in front of you, which is standard when reviewing large piles of cards.
The card you repeatedly claimed was yours was a Riftbound card, which was not among the types of cards you brought in. In addition, several cards in the box appeared to be fake, damaged, and all sorts of other issues. It was as if you found a box of cards in a dumpster and brought them in thinking they had value .
Nothing was taken from your cards. If you believe your cards have value, you’re welcome to look them up on TCGplayer or take them to other local game stores for a second opinion. I would remove the several fake and damaged ones before you do that though.
We stand by how this was handled. I was actually standing right there with the employee.
Your accusations that we stole something from you is rather frustrating. If you truly believe that than go file a police report.
I do not appreciate you calling us thieves and have taken screen shots of this review for further legal actions to be taken against you

Fantastic experience: I ventured out to this store for a Gundam Card Game tournament and was pleasantly surprised! Store has a wide variety of TCG prodcut and an incredible selection of singles displayed in these really cool and convenient rotating cases. Staff is knowledgeable, super friendly, and overally chill. The tournament was tightly run with a fun duck race minigame as a raffle per round. Everything fired on time, prizing was generous and they even bought pizza for the room. These are the kind of game store you want to tell everyone to come support where the staff is geniunely invested in customers having a great experience. Only downside is that I don't live closer to visit more often. Highly reccomend supporting this shop!

Fantastic experience: I came in on Saturday and Tyler was absolutely Amazing to my son & I. He helped me with my original NES. for some reason it was not working at home, he took the time to hook it up and I was doing everything correctly. What do you know, I got back home and it of course worked . Anyways. Thanks again for all your help and being kind. This is always my go to place for old school things.

I called in after my order to confirm the details and the gentleman working was more than helpful and even helped me find a game to replace one that they didn’t have in stock I wanted. Shipped and delivered with just a couple days. Great store. Support these businesses to keep retro game stores alive!

Negative experience: Sold a white flare booster bundle for 65 as well as a bb booster bundle for 65 market is 42 for a white flare... they claim to have teirs with regulars dont see how thats fair. They were friendly but there prices on pokemon where predatory very sad to see this happening here will not return

First, it’s important to note that White Flare is no longer available through distribution, and replacement stock cannot be ordered. Like many hobby stores, we price limited and out-of-print products based on local demand and what our customers are actually willing to purchase in-store, not solely on online marketplace listings. If we priced everything strictly at TCGplayer market, than why waste energy selling locally when we could easily toss it online.
Second, our tiered pricing system applies only to new releases and is designed to reward players who actively participate in events and support the game in our store. It is not used to disadvantage anyone, nor is it applied retroactively to older or unavailable products.
If you’re looking for the best value, the most cost-effective way is to actually play the game here—our prize support allows players to choose the products they want, often at a much better effective value than any single retail purchase.
We strive to balance fair pricing, product availability, and long-term community support. While we understand not every pricing decision will align with every shopper’s expectations, labeling our pricing as “predatory” is inaccurate and doesn’t reflect how we operate or how we serve our player base.

Fantastic experience: Great selection good staff but they couldn't sell me card packs because of limited stock, said it was only for event and I could come back later and purchase them during event. Had to head to scifi factory in azle to buy the packs I wanted. And scifi factory didnt have them either so I get it. Still good location plenty of old games and cards

Negative experience: Called and asked for the price of One Piece PRB02 box, they have them available for 325.75 after tax.........RUN its a 110 box at MSRP. Well won't be coming to see this store for a tournament or singles

We ordered 260 boxes and got 8. We’ve committed over $200K in One Piece product and received barely a few thousand dollars’ worth.
And to clear things up — we don’t even sell boxes. We only sell packs, and for PRB-02 we’re limiting purchases to 4 packs per person. So I have no idea why any employee would’ve told you otherwise — that’s not allowed, and the system wouldn’t even let them.
We even flew to a distributor conference we didn’t want to attend, spent thousands, and begged Bandai face-to-face for more product. We literally have someone whose full-time job is chasing boxes we’re desperate to buy.
So now’s your time to complain to the right people — because it’s not us.
Blaming your local store for this is like yelling at someone yelling at your mom to shave their grown kid’s mullet. It’s not the mom’s fault the kid thinks a mullets awesome.
We host 60+ players weekly, throw Pirate Fest which no one else does, feed our players, run raffles, and do more for this community than anyone else in DFW. Our employees and owners are OP players and travel around the world attending events. (Yep we got to experience Bandai fest too! What fun!!)
We’re not the villains here — we’re the crew keeping the ship afloat. ⚓

Fantastic experience: I have deeply enjoyed playing in events at the store. I love playing in their box tournaments. It's always fun to meet new people, not to mention they are so kind and nice and they let me record for my channel while I'm there. There is one thing though that I will give as a little bit of constructive criticism, and that is that for your box tournaments and your in-house tournaments, you do need to find a judge, you know, a tournament judge, because you know, I don't want konami. To find out that y'all are operating tournaments every week without a judge, and you lose your ots status, because I', if they find out you're operating without a judge, I'm having tournaments without a judge. You can hmm lose your ots status. I don't want that I love it too much playing there. Um, yeah. But I other than that, it's a fantastic experience, they've got a lot of great product. A lot of good stuff, I've got great card sleeeve selection. They've got a great selection of product they're all around great store with. I think nice people, I think Tom and Evan and their staff are very nice and very kind. Enjoyed my time here as well and I will continue to come back and play in events, as I am able to do so five stars
Fantastic experience: Great card store! I've been here plenty of times. They have a great selection of singles for MTG, pokemon and One Piece. Fun and friendly commander nights. If you're looking for packs and precons for TCG, they have plenty of those too. Tons of other accessories and video game systems. Staff is friendly and courteous. Great store to come check out!
Negative experience: PLEASE FIRE EVAN - HES ON BOARDERLINE DISCIMATION. Im autistic. My brother called the store and was asking what time does their tournament start and letting them know that we were being late. He brought up asking if "his sister has taken a shower" reminding that day that saying i "didnt shower" was the backpack which THE DOGS peed on but nooooo they assumed i didnt shower. I shower every day and i told him i showered but noooo he kept on saying if i dont shower i cant come in the store. Second time he had my name in his mouth. He needs to be fired. The store is really great but the items in there are OVER PRICED. they dont care about their customers. They just care about money. Evan even said there is "no manager" which is the lie. The owner of the store would he considered the manager for the store because he is over Evan and the other coworkers. Last time i was in there i had my service dog Teddy, Evan was eyeing my service dog, he was wanting to say something but knew he didnt have the grounds. Going back to the backpack situation. Evan looked at my shirt which was sonic and said "didnt you wear that shirt last week?" Im autistic so i wear certain clothes certain days. He is so rude and makes it looks like that its the other persons fault. When he is the rude one himself. Going back to the call. I asked him why did he bring me up about showering. He said "I say that for everyone." Which is a complete lie. I heard the conversation between him and Evan. Not once did he ask "did you shower?" No he only asked if I showered. ITS NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS IF I HAVE SHOWERED OR NOT. If possible i give a 0 Star! DO NOT GO HERE!!

I want to start by saying that Evan and I really do appreciate you and your brother. You guys are part of the community here, and that matters to us a lot.
We’ve had a few customers bring up concerns about body odor, and this was more than just one time which was both you and your brother they were complaining about.
I know this can be an uncomfortable topic, and I’m not bringing it up to embarrass you at all—just to make sure we keep the shop a welcoming space for everyone.
We have a pretty diverse group of players here, including several who are autistic or have other disabilities, and they’ve been able to manage this expectation so that everyone can enjoy being here comfortably. Our goal is just to keep things consistent across the board so no one feels uncomfortable or stops coming in.
We’re asking everyone, including you both, to make sure basic hygiene is taken care of before coming in to play. If there’s anything making that difficult, please feel free to talk to me—we’re always willing to work with people and figure things out together.

Fantastic experience: Galactic is a great local store whether youre looking for Magic, lorcana, One Piece, Pokémon, etc. They have locals throughout the week where they give away free prizes to participants throughout the night. Staff has always been friendly and welcoming from the get go as well as upfront as to their pricing or allocation of product.
Fantastic experience: Everyone here has always been so kind. I brought in my sons Nintendo Switch a few weeks ago after we thought it was fried from leaving it in the car for a week (it would not turn on when we tried to charge it.) The gentleman that helped us was so kind and honest, he looked at it while we were in the store and quickly told us it was fine and that we just needed a new charger, he even so kindly gave us the cord we needed. I forgot his name and wish I would have wrote this sooner but thank you again for all of your help!!!

Negative experience: These guys are worse than scalpers. Selling new Pokémon cards at more than double msrp. Poor comps on trade. We will never shop here again. Edit- we HAVE shopped with you for the past few years and were happy to support local business. But if this is how you respond to criticism, then it's warranted.
Note: If you have shopped with us than your name is fake on here as this name does not show up anywhere in our systems. If you have shopped here you would know how we deal with Pokemon releases. We have had at least 40 of our regular customers show up today and all know what Tier they are at for pricing. To make things more interesting it appears you rarely every give anyone a decent review and just come here to complain when you don't get your way. But hey we get it, but not really. We have a tiered system in place for our regulars, and those who actually support the store — even at the lowest tier — get access to MSRP or near-MSRP pricing when we can offer it. That kind of fairness is reserved for the community we know and serve, not random individuals expecting a deal without ever walking through the door.
Calling us “worse than scalpers” without ever having purchased anything is not only inaccurate — it’s disrespectful to the players and families who actually keep our store going. We’ll always prioritize the folks who are part of our community over those just chasing hype.

Negative experience: My issue is with a specific employee. I think his name is Evan. He's the balding one with a beard that always has on a jacket. My issue is he is rude literally every time I go in the store. I've brought things to the store to trade/sell to them and he has told me on every occasion "this is kinda stupid you even brought this in" or "I don't even want this in my store". He has also been rude to my wife who went in trying to ask questions about magic the gathering and he was short and irritated with her when she is still super new to the hobby and was trying to get advice for a birthday present for me. I'll never go back and id advise people avoid the place if he's there.

Negative experience: Really sucks I can only come in on certain days to get good service at this card shop if eclipse was closer I’d go there non stop galactic as a store is amazing great selection looks like a good environment but when I show up and see Evan behind the counter I already I’m gonna get hassled or bad treatment idk if someone poops on his breakfast every morning or what I came to just see what I could get for a couple cards giving I understand the market moves a lot but offering me 30% in trade in is just disrespectful came in today hoping the other homie was here because I came yesterday and Evan was here so I left he wouldn’t even negotiate just told me basically it’s his way or the highway I’ll just stick to buying packs if I ever comeback to this place since it’s hard to find in the wild and all other shops are so far In response to you tom I get that I understand that but not even 30% is kinda a robbery if you look at it and card it was but that’s not even my issue with Evan my issue is more of the fact that every visit with him behind the counter is just poor customer service and kinda makes the love for the hobby die a little Ive read 2-4 reviews one of them described him perfectly to how I been feeling as of my last couple visits not to much on the man I bet if you’re his friend he’s a great guy but since my first time in the store I do not like making any business with him even if it’s a 5 second interaction I save a budget for cards every month work hard to buy them so when I do choose to go make a purchase and be excited like I once was as a kid it sucks that I have to deal with poor customer service that’s my actual issue with Evan the card was just the bottom line 30% cash value understanding in your terms of it being a new product but trade in, in my eyes should of been 50% at the least but you run a store not I so what do I know

Sorry to hear about your experience. Our team uses a pricing system to determine trade-in values, especially for newly released sets like EB-02, which are highly volatile and often drop sharply in price. Because of that, trade-in rates start lower and go up as the market stabilizes. This system is in place for all trades and all employees use the same system.
We do regularly offer up to 85% trade-in on established cards, but we can’t extend that to brand-new releases just yet. Evan was simply following policy—not trying to hassle anyone. We appreciate the feedback and hope to see you again.

Negative experience: DO NOT GO HERE FOR POKEMON. TRAP FOR NEW COLLECTORS. the prices on pokemon products are SEVERELY high, as if market price wasn’t already high enough. and i’m not talking maybe 5 over market, but almost DOUBLE?? it’s more worth driving a few miles to the next card shop. i get it’s a business, but lets BE REAL. Update and response: First of all, you guys charge nowhere near market price. Your Journey Together ETB (NOT POKEMON CENTER) is running for $120, while the market price on it is $70. And to comment on your comment about collectors, they’re what’s keeping this hobby alive. Collecting cards with beautiful art doesn’t kill this hobby, the competitive players can buy the card they need for cents on the dollar. The only reason it’s bad is because of scalpers, and you’re contributing to it with those even further inflated prices. Not to mention that the singles you guys sell are around 5 to even 10 DOLLARS above it’s market price, which is usually fine, you gotta make a buck! But when the single card isn’t even in mint condition?? Super unprofessional business, not in it for the culture/hobby. only in for the bucks.
*** Just an update but note this person is in this for money. Can make that markup if the LGS isn't letting you scalp it You can tell by their comments. Example looking at the history of the product they mention you can see when we set the price it was over what we are charging. If you ever want to talk prices just let me know. When stores like us are being forced to pay above MSRP just to get product, how exactly are we supposed to sell it at Walmart prices? We can’t. Big chains get unlimited access. Local shops get gouged and left fighting for scraps.
We’re charging market prices — plain and simple.
And to make things even more interesting:
If we were really overcharging, how come we can’t keep anything in stock?
We are currently paying 50% higher than normal at a minimum just to get product onto our shelves — and it still flies out the door.
It’s gotten so bad we can’t even afford prize support for the players who actually play the game — and yet here come people who don’t even care about playing, just shoving sealed packs into a pocket protector like it’s a stock market investment.
If you want the truth, we’ll gladly show you our invoices.
You’ll see exactly how badly small stores are getting ripped off.
And what’s even more disgusting is people like you harassing small businesses for something we have zero control over.
If you want to fix it, call Pokémon.
But let's be honest — we’re sure you won’t.
Honestly, you should be complaining to your senators or congressman, because this entire situation is a joke.
Pokémon controls everything. They could print more product at any moment — they just choose not to.

P.S.S. Sorry for being a little animated on this. But you're complaining about something and you don't even play the game. Imagine trying to be someone who actually plays this and they can't get the dang cards they need to be competitive. Collectors are destroying the game.
Negative experience: Would have been a pretty decent store if the guy behind the counter had actual customer service skills. I mean come on man we all hate our job but at least pretend? Like can’t even just be like “oh hey welcome in” or actually useful when I have a question. The attitude is what got me the most. Only reason I’m giving this place two instead of one is because I guess some other guy who worked there came in, and actually greeted us. Bro probably wasn’t even on the clock yet and he was more polite than the other guy who was standing behind the register. Not to mention I purchased a console from these guys with a broken ground pin on the power supply but that’s a whole different issue. 10/10 would NOT recommend

Fantastic experience: Great selection of TCG singles & sealed product. Nice variety of retro video games & hardware. I had an great time at the last prerelease, I've been to many, but never one with food. My inner child wishes the retro demo machines were setup, so I could play them in between rounds.. Fantastic experience: I’ve always been an avid pokemon fan but up until recently I’d really only played the games on my Nintendo products and pokemonGo. I recently found the itch to start collecting the cards again and if you know anything about this hobby then you know it’s hard to even find product. I went to every target and Walmart in the area for a few days couldn’t find anything. A few days later I wound up at the Walgreens to pick up my meds and I saw this wonderful place filled with joy and full of pokemon products. That day was the day I started my collection and ripped my first pack in 20 years. Customer service is amazing and they have anything you need for every TCG. Love this place!
Negative experience: It has now been a few months. I had tried using a gift card to pay for some one piece packs back in January. Store clerk said that my gift card did not go through so I paid using my chase debit card. Later on I find out by checking my balance that it did indeed go through on my gift card and that I was lied to by the clerk. I have called mastercard and they have told me the only option was to be refunded by the merchant. Because you guys said that the transaction never went through, and it has been more than 2 months, I am reposting this review. I won't be ordering anything else from here. Chime also has fraudulent services. It would of flagged you when I placed the order on your website. It didn't. I am looking at your order now and the credit card processing company marked it as high risk and fraudulent. So we cancelled the order.
We have noticed anytime that the system shows that nine times out of 10 we end up getting charged backs.
When you check out on the site though, if you use icon checkout with shop.com check out. We always honor those because they guarantee we will get paid no matter what.

Fantastic experience: Pretty cool dudes, also the only video game hobby stores for miles and they do locals too apparently
Negative experience: I went to this store to pick up some Items delivered from wish as Galactic is a pickup location. I was told By the Owner that he was not going to go thru the trouble to give me my items that I needed to come back next week. I spent my time and Gas to drive to his store. My items are sitting in his store. He REFUSES to give them to me. He is forcing me to make another trip costing me time and gas to go get my items because he did not want to spend 2 minutes to give me my items. Please avoid this store. If you are not spend enough money in his store he will not make time for you. He is greedy. There are other negitive reviews about this place in other places on the net. Please avoid. UPDATE... This mans response is a total lie.

Negative experience: Cards not shipped on time with no communication. Received no shipping confirmation until the day the cards were suppose to arrive. Nor was a refund offered for the shipping.
Your order was barely placed less than a business day ago.
No one "promised" a delivery date at all to you.
Also you chose the cheapest method for shipping and it wouldn't even get to you for at least 4 days going by the service that YOU chose if we had shipped it within 30 seconds of your order.

Fantastic experience: This place is great for your major TCG games, they have a large selection of Magic, good amounts of yugioh and pokemon cards. They also sell Lorcana and a couple other card games. They have weekly magic and yugioh locals. Yugioh currently is Tuesday 7pm, Saturday 6pm, and Sunday 2pm. I know magic is on fridays but not the time.
Fantastic experience: Nice place with lots of games and the staff is super friendly and helpful.
Negative experience: tried to order online and they just canceled my order for no reason no email no nothing so this place is not the best just go to found it or half price books at lest they send your order out and care for customers

Hi Crystal, it was actually your blu ray drive and not your hard drive that needed to be fixed.
When we opened your Blu-ray drive. We found several items including goldfishes, coins, some green gunk (maybe Play-Doh?), and random pieces of plastic that apparently a child (we assumed) had shoved into it.
We cleaned all that out and got it working and then gave it back to you. When we gave it back to you, you told us that now the HDMI was not working. But when you brought it back our tech put it on the bench and tested it and we had no problems with it.
You then brought it back again and this time it had been turned on and games had been uninstalled from the system. But it appeared to us that now the HDMI port had been damaged. Plus we also found some green plastic pieces shoved into the sides that were not there before.
If you look on the back of your PS5 you will notice a ton of scratch marks around the HDMI port where you plug it in at. That was not caused by us and typically when we see that we know the machine gets moved a lot and plugged and unplugged.
We did offer to fix this for you and we actually we're not going to charge you for fixing the blue ray but just to fix the HDMI port and you refused.
We're sorry but we didn't even get into the area where the HDMI port is to work on this.
Technically it would have been impossible for us to damage it considering the portion of what we had to do to clean the blue ray drive.
So we tried to be nice and offer to fix the HDMI and not charge you for the work we had already done. Plus we we're going to give you roughly a $50 discount on top of that.
We totally understand your frustrations but this was not caused by us. And frankly, my team went out of their way to help you out when we can clearly see that this machine has been repeatedly abused by someone.
We're sorry you're going through this frustration, but frankly don't appreciate the review considering our team to everything that we could to help you out, even if it meant we took a loss.
The offer is still in the table if you want it fixed.

Negative experience: Customer service is horrible. Sent an email asking if they shipped to a different state and was told yes and they wanted to know what game i was looking for. I replied and they never got back to me. There website said they had it so i placed my order. I called them 2 days later to see why it hadnt shipped and i was told tjey coulent find the game and dont know why it didnt cancel the order. Its now been 2 more days and the order still isnt cancelled. I emailed the owner asking about when i would see a cancellation on it and i havent heard anything from him. Nobody hardly picks up the phone when you call. Do not recommend them at all. Ive seen other reports of people ordering games as well and never getting them and also not being able to get a hold of anyone. Wish i saw that before i placed my order. Edit- actually the email said "Yes, we do. Which game was it? Let me double check and make sure we actually have it since our store sometimes is missing stuff The main store and the online inventory your looking at is the same. Wouldn't be the first time it was in the system and not actually at the store and had disappeared" I understand inventory gets off but for a game thats $155 and also hard to get your hands on im on shocked it wasnt properly accounted for. Only reason i even placed the order waz because of how hard it is to find. Still have not heard back from anyone after my last call. Not a reply from the owner and STILL nobody picks up the phone. I will up my review to a 2 star from a 1 because i finally got an answer but its sad it took a GOOGLE REVIEW to get my answer.

Actually I asked you to hold off on ordering the game as I wanted to make sure we had it in stock. That was before you placed the order.
When I questioned the employee to look for it and told him if you don't find it update the inventory and remove it.
Apparently you ordered it anyways. So the employee thought I had removed it and he didn't see your order for the item which essentially removed it adding more confusion.
Anyways long story short your order has been cancelled.

Fantastic experience: My son absolutely loves this place. He collects Funko pops, an there always seems to be new ones Everytime we go check them out, also has pretty decently priced games, an he has a PS4 now, which we like the prices here rather than GameStop ..they are lil more expensive over at GameStop. So we made Galactic Games our new home for games an Funko pops! The staff is always very friendly, an makes us feel at home !

Negative experience: Extremely poor customer service. I have enjoyed galactic gamez for months and I'm not necessarily a regular but I do come in there often and I'd say I've been to this establishment a good 12 times already and enjoyed 10 of those visits with me making frequent purchases of PSVITA titles and gameboy advanced games. Selection is really great however like I said only 10 of those visits have been good. I didn't want to stoop to this extreme to give a local and small business a review like this but I feel my concerns must be heard. Plus I feel like mistakes happen and they are part of this world. However with that being said I went to galactic about three weeks ago and was looking to make a purchase of two psvita games. I laid them up to the counter and the individual who was taking care of me at the time mentioned he would have to look for those games as they were not in their regular place. He seemed to have an attitude as if I had inconvenienced his day. I had my friends with me which was Thier first time at this establishment there so they saw this play out and this transaction was taking very long and I went to go look at other video games while I gave the individual time to look for my games I wanted to purchase before I knew it he was tending to other needs of customers and seemingly forgot I had interest in purchasing these games. Hey it's business you need to take care of everyone I get it but when I mentioned if he had found the games I wanted to purchase he said he was taking care of other customers. He then proceeded to acknowledge other customers who just had walked in while not really focusing on any tasks at hand. I didn't want to make a huge deal so I walked out. My friend made a purchase and then mentioned he wasn't coming back because he didn't feel comfortable with that interaction. Just like all mistakes in the world it happened and places deserve another chance plus this place has been getting business from me for a while and even gave them great praise on my YouTube channel. Today I came in right at opening time since I was in the area and walked in with no greeting, really didn't mind as I figured whoever was opening was just taking care of task I went to the PSVITA section and got the two games I originally wanted to purchase the last time I came and it was the same individual who was helping me last time I asked him in the most polite way "hey do you guys happen to have these games?" Which he then proceeded to give me an attitude that was no palatable citing "yeah you walked out last time and did not buy the games" with a look of inconvenience on his face. I simply could have left and not purchased the games which I honestly should have but I'm good faith and I purchased the games. If you were able to recall you helping me from a transaction that happened weeks ago why couldn't you have simply remembered I wanted to purchase the games then and there? Is my question suffice to say I will not be coming back and they are losing my business as a result. This game store is like a 40 minute drive from where I'm usually located and I enjoyed going here. Now I feel as if I am not welcomed.

Negative experience: Might have been cool. Google showed them open, the open sign next to the door was on but they were locked and no one inside. I made a long drive to check this place out so it was a pretty disappointing waste of time. Update your Google times and shut off your open sign.

Positive experience: It has its own perks here and there I enjoyed all the retro games and systems they had. The lighting and vibes aren't the best, but they do hold card game competitions so I guess that's something.

Fantastic experience: My 11 year old has severe ADHD and loves everything Galactic Games has to offer. We went there today as he had a “$5 for whatever he wanted” prize from Easter. He really struggles with decisions, especially under stress. To add to it, his 4 year old sister was with us causing mayhem as she is wont to do. The gentleman working this evening could have been annoyed with my kids cause they’re a lot. Instead, he was kind, patient, gave my kid Pokémon pencils and stickers which stopped his ADHD meltdown he was having trying to make a decision and a treat for the 4 year old. Turned what could have been an unpleasant experience in making both my kids very happy and in doing so you made a loyal customer today.

Fantastic experience: This place is great! I found 2 Dance Dance Revolution PS2 dance pads and 4-5 PS2 DDR games that I used to play all the time. I found some other games and DVDs that I came across. Doesn't have a LOT of stuff but I find it has a lot of diverse stuff. Also has a good selection of D&D and Magic the Gathering cards and more!

Negative experience: I wish there was an option to give a negative star rating, their overall store is a 0 star rating and the way the owner treats his customers is a negative 5. Me and my friend went in there and he purchased a copy of Star Wars demolition for the PlayStation, we got to his house and booted it up and the cutscenes skipped and the game lagged due to heavy scratches on the disc. I decided to take the trip back to return the game and they denied me having shopped there in the first place and that I was trying to return a game that wasn’t purchased there. I also noticed he didn’t treat me as well as he treated the white customers who were also there returning a product and were not questioned in any way. When I messaged the owner he told me he can’t be racist because he speaks Spanish which had nothing to do with anything at all, and that his former wife was a minority. Overall my experience was horrendous and I would recommend avoiding this store at all costs, eBay somehow has better customer service.

Negative experience: This owner is a scam artist at its finest. Tom is up charging all of his product, and on top of that, he is not following wizards of the coast procedure. Time and time again he refuses to give out product. On wizards website, it clearly says if you spend $50 you will receive a promo sol ring. However, Tom is making the requirement $500 dollars. When asked about this he says that “it’s not my problem” and I can charge whatever I want for them” I remember when local game store were a much friendlier place.
Hello Mike, Again I apologize to you that you do not like how this was dealt with. As I mentioned we had several people who had preordered over $500+ of sealed product and the majority of our cards went to them.
Your conversation started off with our store by calling and asking if we could give you a discount. Than when you showed up you asked me for a discount than too. Not exactly sure why you felt we should give just you a discount and no one else on the product, but it is what it is.
It was good to hear though that you already had received multiple of the cards in question. So at least you got one as most people will not.
As for our prices, well if you see something we sell not priced at least similar or close to other local LGS stores than let us know. We do our best to keep the prices down and similar or lower than other local LGS stores. When it comes to the game stores in the area you will find we have typically have the best prices and we are always willing to adjust those prices when we have the ability to do so.

Negative experience: It's a neat store and it has a lot of pros going for it. The 2 is because of the price gouging of pokemon cards. I'll use the Pokémon TCG Vivid Voltage as example. The vivid voltage elite trainer boxes sell for $34 - $48 online without shipping. However this store is charging $70 before tax. The vivid voltage booster packs sell for $3 - $5 online and this store sells for $8. If you absolutely have to buy pokemon cards and money isn't an option then this is your store. Otherwise I don't see an explanation for why the prices are so high. Note: my experience with this price gouging is only with their pokemon cards, booster packs, ETb's, tins, pokeballs, and any other pokemon related product.

First off, thank you for your input, it's greatly appreciated.
Our prices on products we set based upon what the wholesaler charges us.
We are not allowed to buy directly off the market any pokémon products.
You specifically mentioned Vivid Voltage. I can tell you our cost on a vivid voltage booster box on the last order jumped $50.
Our ETBs jumped $15.
Those prices were already inflated from the wholesaler before they jumped again.
To make things worse right now, if I call the distributor to order a booster box for Vivid Voltage, they will limit us to three boxes.
Keep in mind the set you're also talking about it's not a recent set.
But all of this boils down to issues with pokémon themselves allowing distributors to jack up prices often above what MSRP is.
Unfortunately for us to carry the product in the store it comes at a premium to us which customers do not understand.
We do our best to keep the prices as low as possible. But this is a business and there is a storefront. There's employees there's rent. There's all kinds of things that online retailers are not paying for at all. Nor are online retailers giving back to your community in any shape or form.
Again though, thank you for your input and I totally can understand your thoughts and concerns on this.

Hello Joseph. As the employee already told you bring it in and we will give you a refund. Not exactly sure what more could be asked of us. Sorry the game does not work online. We are under the impression it has a campaign mode and most are playing that. It is not a game that any of our employees play.
You will also notice that same game is for sale on Amazon and elsewhere. We sold it to you for $5 and Amazon has it at $10+ no including shipping.
Anyways, just bring it back. You are still within our refund window.
