Negative experience: GameStop Sold Me an Empty Box – Then Blamed Ubisoft I’ve never written a review like this, but GameStop’s handling of my recent experience demands it. I purchased what was labeled a new game from GameStop – a full-priced title, sealed box – only to find there was no disc, no cartridge, no download code, nothing. Literally just an empty case with art. Before I even left the store, I asked for help. The store manager told me to call customer service. I did — and what followed was one of the worst support experiences I’ve ever had. Instead of taking responsibility, customer support deflected all accountability and told me to contact Ubisoft. No resolution, no refund, no code, no exchange. Just repeated copy-paste lines that made it clear they weren’t even listening to my issue. Even after explaining (over and over) that I was still in the store, they insisted GameStop could do nothing. Here’s the problem: I didn’t buy this game from Ubisoft. I bought it from GameStop. But apparently, GameStop’s official policy is that if they sell you a game with nothing in the box, you’re on your own. No help, no service, no recourse. This is not just bad service — it’s a broken business model. If you’re buying “physical” games from GameStop, be warned: • There may be no game included. • GameStop will not refund or exchange it. • You’ll be told to deal with the manufacturer, even though GameStop took your money. I highly encourage everyone to take their business elsewhere. Digital stores, Amazon, or literally any retailer with a functioning return policy is a safer bet than risking what I went through.

Perfect place to get presents for Christmas and Birthdays for the whole family. Fair trade in values and great selection!

Fantastic experience: I'm a big fan of gamestop. I've worked at this location as security when grand theft auto 3 launched. I been going there since they actually opened over 20 years ago, and still go to get games like Mortal kombat, Street fighter, call of duty, and many more!! I've even bought my consoles here. Customer service has always been great also. I highly recommend visiting this location.

Positive experience: Its a small location and they dont necessarily have it stocked beautifully like the other stores. It feels crowded. The employees are super nice and passionate. My son is a novice at this place but we are getting very acquainted pretty quickly.

It was a rainy day and the store smelled of wet mildew like an old basement. That is totally not the staff's fault. Hopefully Game stop Corp. will look into it. My asthma was set off badly. I would have rated it a 5 if not for the wet mildew problem.

Negative experience: If I could give this location no stars, I would. I came in today to pick up an item my Home store didn't have. My husband and I weren't greeted until we had been looking around for a few minutes. I asked the Assistant Store Lead Miguel, if he could possibly hold an item for me until Friday, he told me he would only hold it for today and tomorrow. His tone was unwelcoming, and he was very short with me. He had said he wasn't allowed to hold things that long and told me I could go on the app around 8pm - 9pm if I wanted it held till Friday. He was explaining this in a very confusing way, so I was not fully understanding at first, he became progressively irritable with me, hastily showing me what to do on his phone with little explanation, making it seem like he had better things to do. Nonetheless, I thanked him and apologized for my misunderstanding, I got no response from him. I then repeated myself, still no response from him. I was still standing at the counter when he told me that he needed to go take care of something and walked off. I grabbed the item and returned to checkout, which he seemed to take his time. He approached without a word, asked me to put in my phone number, asked if the item was all I needed, I replied yes, he circled the survey information, handed me the receipt and said have a nice day. Absolutely the worst customer service I have experienced with GameStop. It's really a shame that they got my business instead of my Home store on Hulen. I definitely will not be returning to this location. As for the item I asked him to hold? Think Geek was more than willing to hold it for me, since my home store didn't have it in.

Negative experience: Miguel is a con artist. He sold me a broken copy of Mkx and when I brought it back trust thing next morning, he said "it wasnt like that when I gave it to you". Yes it was, you were mad I came in right b4 9 and you sold me a broken game. Then when I return it instead of giving my money back, he replaces it under gpg replacement so I couldn't get my money back. Very poor customer service from migu3l
Negative experience: they stole my buddies Wii and his kids play it like what the heck why wont they return it this is theft and after we called them they "rick rolled" us and called us bad words like the "n word"

This being day after a holiday and being Black Friday i thought there would be a sale on items in the store after all their website said so but mistake number two. Fantastic experience: My one stop shopping for everything Xbox, PS4 and Nintendo. From the consoles, peripherals, new and used games this is as good as it gets! Buying used games allows me to buy alot more games over buying new games at $60 a pop! They also sell all of the online gaming prepaid cards so getting a gift for a gamer is simple and easy without trying to figure out what game they may like. Just get them a Gamestop prepaid card if you're really in doubt about what to get them. It's also a great place to buy your new release game titles on release day so you can get pre-ordered extras that come with the game for pre-ordering it through Gamestop!

Negative experience: Ive had problems with this game stop in many ways. Mainly is that a few of the employees are listless and almost angry in response to my patronage. Trying to get information on new games, expected and incoming releases is spotty. They arent keeping track of gamer related information and dont seem to hire people who are avid or excited gamers. I dont usually hold a standard for game stores but this place always brings me down and makes me feel negatively about every visit.

Fantastic experience: Placed a hold for a game online and five minutes later got the notification that it was ready. Fast and easy transaction without a hard upsell on their yearly program thing. Even picked up a pair of Doctor Who socks!
