Negative experience: Had the most unpleasant experience ever at a GameStop in a long long time. I have had a bad experience here a while back, but I tried to think nothing of it and move on about my day. I go there today(5/1) and it was an even worse experience. I dont see myself coming to this GameStop for a long time, which is rough cause it's one of the closer locations.
Fantastic experience: I had an excellent experience at GameStop thanks to Troy. He was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and attentive throughout our visit. He took the time to thoroughly answer all of our questions, carefully look through game options with us, and even provided thoughtful recommendations based on our interests. His level of customer service truly stood out and made the entire experience enjoyable. Troy is a great asset to the team, and I would highly recommend working with him if you visit this location.
Negative experience: Absolutely crap store, they did not update their website inventory or anything to make customers aware that when they ordered crimson desert deluxe on release day, its not actually there. The guy says a glitch in the system? Thats not a thing, and so by relying on GameStop for a day on deluxe copy i missed out. I call the store 15x and no answer and they act confused when im there by that. Go to your local game shop.
Negative experience: I preorder resident evil requiem trying to get the still book and I was not told that I had to order the delux which I would have.If I knew told me, I picked it up today and not getting what I'm expecting to get, I've been coming to this game. Stop for over 4 years. I drive an extra 20 minutes out of my way to come to this one. Because I thought it was the best one around apparently not
Negative experience: Store online says that they close at 2100 but really closes at 2000. They need to update the hours.

Negative experience: I just left game stop and stayed in line watching Chris Larry team lead connecting another person play station 4. When I came in the store I was told the games were buy 2 get 1 free. The guy then tells me after I’ve been in line for more than 8 mins counting that it’s not but 2 get 1 free and they were removing the signs and he couldn’t honor it. When I asked for the manager name he would only say Josh but refused to give me the managers name and said he was a manager. When I asked if he was going to honor as it was their fault and I had been waiting patiently he said no. I asked for the GM name and he goes Josh but still not giving last name. When I went to talk he cut me off and I had to ask him to please not cut me off as I didn’t cut him off talking. I will not be back here ever and have done business at this game stop plenty of times, but customer service today was awful and the “manager “ Chris Larry needs more training when it’s a store mistake that they didn’t catch until 1pm.
Negative experience: The employees are rude and look like they don't want to be there. Asked some questions and they sound like uninterested, definitely my least favorite gamestop compare to others that I have been to.
Negative experience: I don’t know what is going on at this GameStop. But I go to trade in and do an order for a figure. Get told we can’t do that here. But triangle town center told me they could. Also had to cancel a preorder cause for some reason this store never got it. Even tho every other store got it in the area. I don’t know what is going on at this GameStop. But I’m done fighting traffic and trying to get here to get screwed every time I come.
Negative experience: I have tried calling this store 7 times to find out a status of my order but apparently no one can answer the phone. I have been trying since 10am. If they dont answer the phone then get rid of the phones. Ridiculous
Positive experience: First, I want to take out the time and say MAGNUS was AMAZING, knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful. She even acknowledged the customers to apologize about the wait considering she couldn’t ring up anyone. I hope you receive that promotion!! Congratulations in advance! Now on to Kat or Kit I’m not completely sure of the spelling of her name. But she was in fact the complete opposite of Magnus. She seemed annoyed by everyone. Considering she was the only one who could run the register she had no urgency to try and get people in and out in a timely manner.
Fantastic experience: Greg is the best employee that I have ever met. His attentiveness to the customer truly made me feel valued, welcomed, and appreciated. If Greg is working, just know you’re in good hands. I am so thankful for his time and effort. Thank you so much Greg!! Come here just to meet Greg!
Positive experience: Came here to look for poke cards but there’s absolutely nothing left. They have in stock but they didn’t give me anything until Saturday… too bad, we won’t be here then. But the store looked nice and cozy with many games and toys.
Negative experience: I purchased a system from this location less than 12 hours before bringing back a controller that had stick drift. When I called earlier in the day, I was told I only needed to bring the controller in. However, when I arrived, I was told something completely different — that I would need a warranty and the entire system for a replacement. It was disappointing to get conflicting information, especially after spending $250 and expecting everything to work properly out of the box. I understand policies exist, but clearer communication and consistency would go a long way in making the experience better.
Negative experience: Bought a dock for a Nintendo Switch 2. When the salesman sold ot to me, I even said I was using it to connect to a TV. Turns out it's a dock to give you more USB ports. When I went back to the store to exchange or return, the same guy said "I can't return because it's opened." It's a peripheral, not a game. Thanks for selling me garbage and then not doing anything about it. How is this company still in business?

Fantastic experience: The employees at this location don’t get paid enough to deal with the disrespectful nonsense from customers. Customers will yell and threaten employees and security does not respond in a timely manner.
Negative experience: Total price was 25.60, I redeemed 14 dollars worth of points and my 5 dollar reward. I somehow paid 15 dollars. I was too tired to argue with the person, maybe I don't understand how point redemption works but i essentially got scammed.

Negative experience: I went to GameStop in CrabTree mall Raleigh North Carolina, to look at the BackBone controller for my IPhone 15. The store clerk came back with it, after retrieving it from the back. I asked can I see it and was told he had to hold it, while I looked at it? I was confused, and he told me it was store policy, nothing against me and that the cameras see everything and he could get in trouble. I said “no problem” and walked out the store! I’ve never heard of such. He could have said he needed to hold my license and I would have felt better, but I was definitely insulted!
Negative experience: I've never felt so invisible. I came in to buy 1 thing and was there for 30 minutes to just leave empty handed. I felt stupid just standing there waiting to be acknowledged.
Negative experience: I'm not a fan of having my money withheld. Associates can see what games I bought in the system or not, and they're refusing to cancel my preorders and give me my money. I wasted time in store with my daughter now I have to find someone to care for her to come back and deal with this all because they want to hold on to my money for products they didn't even sell to me!! I've worked here for years and loved this store so it's such a slap in the face that they treat their customers (who spend thousands!!) Like this. I've literally never been avidly mistreated like this in a business before.

Not only did he patiently explain pokemon cards to my clueless husband and I.. he also gave our son some cards from his own collection to really help him get his collection started. Who does that?? My only suggestion is that you move the store to a bigger location bc they could make GREAT use of it now that the ThinkGeek is gone to fill that collectibles gap. Also, pay the staff more and generally staff more so that the crush of customers on the weekends gets maximum return.
Fantastic experience: So I’ve always had a positive experience at this location but recently these guys helped me out so much that I just had to write a review. So long story short, I have TMJ, basically my jaw is in pain all the time and when I game with my over-ear head phones it really puts pressure on my jaw and causes me so much pain I usually can only play games for a couple hours before it hurts too much. I was casually talking with the guys working (I truly wish I remembered their names so sorry) when they mentioned the Atrix E-series pro wireless headset. They let me try a pair on and it was the lightest headset I have ever put on and could tell immediately that this wasn’t going to cause my jaw to flair up. I have literally gone through 10 different headsets (paid over 500 bucks trying different headsets) only to always have this issue. While they didn’t a pair at the store they could sell me they went the extra mile and let me know of every store in a 5 mile radius that had the E-series. I was able to pick one up and for the first time I was able to game without being in pain. The sound quality was amazing, and they only cost me 50 bucks. Sorry for such a long review but thank you guys so much for taking the time and going the extra mile. It truly has meant the world and I just can’t thank you enough.

Positive experience: Got everything you need but you get bombarded with subscriptions you don't want at the end. Not the employees' fault, they just do as they're instructed to not lose their job. I wish they weren't forced to though and were instead encouraged to legitimately chat people up and not have the quotas to meet.

Fantastic experience: The other day my partner and I went into this GameStop to pick up the new OLED switches that we preordered. Eddie let us know that we can trade in our old switches. We brought our consoles in and were offered a really reasonable price! Eddie helped us pick out some new games, and even let us know which ones we could preorder. The whole team was helpful. I was honestly surprised to receive that level of assistance, and am appreciative of it!

Negative experience: You guys seem to have an employee that thinks it's funny to be rude. My wife called the store and was inquiring about getting an XBox Series X, during the call the rep spoke in a non caring tone and put my wife off quite a bit. Later I visited the store to inquire the same (1 Week or so Later), when I approached the rep I asked if they had any in stock and the rep told me "We don't have any and aren't getting any in the store." I replied, "I know they're hard to find I just wanted to ask." He then stated, "If you'd have been on the website this morning there was a drop. You should just go to the website. It's a shame you came here looking for one because I have one and it's great." How can someone say something like that to a customer and rub it in like that? It was extremely rude and unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: I am a OOOLLLLLDDDDDER MAN with a lot of medical problems. Just started playing games about 8 weeks ago. That’s when 2 of my Grandsons told me about Game Stop. The first visit the employees were happy to help me. I stop in at the least 2 or 3 times a week. Several employees have always taken the time to help me pick out the games. For the most part I get most of my games at Came Shop. Friendly employees, Do seem to mind to answer my questions and are very helpful.
