Positive experience: Staff is good, none of this reflects them. Prices are ridiculous for any One Piece tcg players. 200 dollars for an item that is supposed to be 110 msrp. 35 dollars for an item that is supposed to be 22 msrp. Don't come here if you are starting one piece. Not sure for Magic. Pokemon prices are a bit more than average, but that is to be expected.

Positive experience: This used to be one of my favorite gamestops, but they have new manager that is very off putting in my opinion. I listen to him brag about having 8 kids to the customer in front of me. His sales pitches were more pushy than helpful. When it was my turn I told him before he even asked I just want to buy a game. I simply told him I do not want to anything else and he still tried to sell me other things I understand it's their job, but when the customer tells you they don't want to hear the pitch you don't tell them the pitch. I recently saw him at the Fuquay-Varina location and I walked out I genuinely don't care for his vibe. I will probably be avoiding gamestops in general for a while.

Negative experience: Poor customer service. I called the store the young lady answered the phone RUDE. Then she left me on the phone on hold for over 6 minutes while she checked out customers, talking and laughing with her co workers. Oh, you will never get my money again!!

Negative experience: I'm a lifetime gamer so I'm always at the store getting a new remote when I burn it out. I go into this location , with the controller and the cord and I'm told by I guess the staff member that is in transition (female to male )with dreadlocks that I could not get another controller because I didn't have a sticker or bag . And that is what the staff member in transitioning manager told them to say was policy whenever a customer has come in without the sticker or bag. Needless to say I called another location and they said that is not true. Most purchases can be looked up in the system . It can it just takes time sometimes because it can show up to two years of history but it is do able without a sticker.. I'm going to spend my money and time somewhere else where people take their time to help me.

Negative experience: Canceled my order on a game because it was reserved by someone else about a week ago, although company policy only says to hold reserved games for 2 days. Called the store, the guy told me he couldn't sell it to me because his boss told him not to. Edit: called corporate after leaving this review, told them what happened, they said that this was unprofessional of the store and ended up shipping me the game to make up for the bad experience.

Fantastic experience: I really like the help I get and the chats the staff and I have at this location. Crazy knowledgeable about new releases and older games, as far as explaining the gameplay/story, so I can make an informed decision. And very nice/easy to talk to. I pre-ordered once from here and the game was ready for pickup as soon as the store opened in the morning, the day of release. Great job!

Negative experience: I purchased a new case for my son nintendo switch. I purchased the switch from the same location as the case. All this was purchased yesterday. The case did not secure the switch at all and wanted to exchange it for a better one (had receipt). I was told they are unable to take the case back because my 6yr old son didn't open the package correctly. They wouldn't be able to resale it due to package. The case is not damaged but the package is. Someone help me understand how the packaging is more important than the merchandise.

Fantastic experience: This is a small show of appreciation compared to how awesome everyone at this location is. Everyone who I've met here has just been awesome to me. This has been my local gamestop for almost 4 years, but since I moved, I have not been able to come here as often as I normally have. However, when ever I do get a chance to come here, every team member, no matter who it is, treats me as if i never left. No matter the purchase, these team members are there for you!

Negative experience: Awful awful awful experience. Waited in the rain for 4 hours to preorder a PS5. Manager walked up at 11:45 and told the group of around 15 of us that had been there all morning that we “wasted our time” because she didn’t have any PS5 preorders. After the store officially opened at noon, the group went into to find out if she really didn’t have any after she had told us she would double check. When we entered she again told us that we “wasted our time” because she had none.

Fantastic experience: I'm not sure who exactly helped me out buthe was kind enough to take care of me and go ahead and give me my order even though it hadn't fully ran through the system because I'd already ordered it and I had the email saying I had it but you hadn't ran to their system and I had just gotten off work and they were about to close in 10 minutes.I want to say thank you to the young gentleman who helped me and this is what good customer service looks like.

Negative experience: First off I’m going to say that I very rarely leave reviews and when I do they’re normally good ones, and normally when I go to GameStop I have a good experience, BUT! The last few times I have been to this GameStop location I was unable to get the name of the girl but it has been the same one she is shorter with the blonde hair, she is just very rude and does not ask me if I need help or if I can wait a second while she finishes up what she’s doing and she also she doesn’t even acknowledge me, not good customer service. Little did she know I am looking into getting a Nintendo Switch Lite If they had a brand new grey one in stock and also wanted to get COD and Madden for my PS4 so would have been a nice sale. Long story short, she made it that I will never go back to this location and it sucks cus this was my go-to spot for questions and anything gaming related.

I really hope they can get new computers for their POS systems soon, as Julianna was nearly in a panic attack due to the technology not working. Fantastic experience: Jay - Julianna - is amazing! I came in and she promptly greeted me in a genuinely warm and professional manner. Truthfully, I'd stopped in to browse the Pokémon collectibles, as this isn't my home Game Stop. So when Jay asked if I was needing assistance I told her as much, and she didn't try to push or pressure me at all! Instead she gave me a few moments to orient myself and browse, then came up to me to properly introduce herself in a very organic manner and offered me a current flyer, which I took and browsed as Jay headed back to the register. I hadn't even planned to buy anything today, just browse a bit, but I stopped a pre-order ad for Digimon Story Cyber Slueth: Complete Edition, which I hadn't even known was coming out. Even better? The release date was today's date! Well, my birthday is this month, so I decided to treat myself. We all have those moments, right? I didn't locate the game on the floor after a quick perusal, but fret not, for Jay helped me out! She had that game in my hand in seconds, and I was wrung up at the register in no time flat. Jay was so personable and easy to chat with, which really made the whole experience feel really positive and fun, you know? Shopping with Game Stop was much better than just ordering something online, BECAUSE of the people you meet there, people that love gaming too. This store is a bit further from me, but I'll definitely be back to visit again. Thanks for making a corporate store feel like a privately owned shop, while still maintaining pristine corporate standards, Game Stop!

Fantastic experience: That I remember working for this company back when it was EB Games. By far the coolest manager that Gamestop has ever had is at this store and her name is Katie. She will go out of her way to help out a customet. I pre-ordered the regular edition of kingdom hearts 3 by mistake but I wanted the deluxe edition. Luckily she had a customer cancel their pre-order and she knew I wanted it so she held it just for me. If you want quality service you should come to this store. Katie will be there for you!

Positive experience: I just purchased 2 games from here, I would say the cashier was nice and approachable. The other sales person as soon as I walked I the store asked if I needed help with anything while partially blocking the aisle, I stated I was just looking and then walked past him and he just stares at me look at games on the wall, then eventually walks away. This was really strange and creepy! Last time coming here.

Negative experience: So, my wife and I decided to go trade out some games for our Wii. Before I left she checked the stack of games I was taking in. I go into the store and whenever I walk up to the counter the first thing I hear is oh those are Wii games I wouldn't even trade them in. I was a little confused until I realized that they only give you between 10-50 cents a game. There were only two games that were worth less than $5. That was disappointing especially since the game we wanted was almost $15 more expensive at gamestop (pre-owned mind you) than Walmart. So suffice it to say I didn't get the game, went to leave and they still had one of the games behind the counter that I had to ask for. Got back to the house and my wife looked at the games again we were missing three of the games out of the cases. So of course they say that the games weren't there to start with and there's nothing they can do. Gamestop has gone downhill over the last couple of years. They use to be a very good store, you would come in and they had excited staff, you could actually trade in games and it be beneficial to the store and the customer, now they just make double the money off of you when you buy the game as well as when you trade it in. If I could rate them as a zero I would. Hopefully some company comes along and treats people like gamestop use to and puts them out of business. They don't have good employees anymore, their prices are overrated, you can't tell the difference between a manager and a customer walking around, and their customer service doesn't exist. Redbox has better customer service than they do.

Negative experience: I have called in many times to this store asking about certain games to possibly get more information, or to see if they have it available, most times I have gotten a VERY poor reply leaving me with little to NO information. For example, I called in yesterday to ask if they had a game in their store, a female answered, I had to repeat myself many times, EVEN had to spell out the title and give HER information so she could try to find it. After about 5 minutes of her searching on their computer she said there was no information/wasn't available. I went on the Gamestop website and decided to try out the store pick up and they said the game WAS available at the store. So, I reserve it online, wait for the email saying it's ready for pick up. I go into the store, told the male at the cash register what I was there for, he took 20 minutes to find the game, which was sitting on the 3DS wall RIGHT beside the cash registers. I also caught him struggling to give another customer information on a console, so I decided to help out. The other customer thanked me and went on to leave the store. Go to the Gamestop over in the White Oak shopping area. You will be better off. I promise you.
