Negative experience: This GameStop is a complete waste of time. The manager there (Woman with grey hair) is not friendly and not very helpful AT ALL. Run for the hills. There are better stores than this one.
Negative experience: They never follow the hours they post. I’m here at 1:30 store should have been open at 11. The last time I came an hour before the closing time and store was close up. I really don’t mind but it’s a waste of time to come when you are not open.

Negative experience: Poor customer service and rude comments from some older store associate who was upset that we only bought a few things and apparently they “won’t be open for us to hang out and only buy a few small things” on February 8th around 3:20 PM

Fantastic experience: This is my spot, the staff and manager (maybe also owner??) are soo cool. Very patient, knowledgeable and chill. Check this place out. I drive by 3 gamestops to get to this one.
Negative experience: Would never go again. Think it is absolutely ridiculous how some of the employees talk to customers. Worker did not allow my in-law to redeem his discount because the worker felt that name did not match how he looked. Rather then ask for identification they kept insinuating that my in law was not who he was. Absolutely ridiculous and inappropriate to base someone on how they look.

Negative experience: I recently visited a GameStop location (2336 W. Cermak Rd. Chicago, IL) to purchase a controller for a friend’s young child. As someone unfamiliar with gaming, I had a few questions to ensure I was making an informed purchase. When the manager mentioned that the pre-owned controller might not work or could stop working, I asked if the controllers were tested before being sold. Instead of receiving clarity, I was met with an unnecessary attitude and accused of questioning their job performance. To clarify, I did not assume anything about their process—I simply asked because I genuinely didn’t know the protocol. It is reasonable for a customer to inquire whether pre-owned products are tested, particularly when they lack familiarity with the item. Being labeled “rude” for asking a straightforward question was both disappointing and unprofessional. I would encourage the company to consider additional customer service training for management and staff. Experiences like this can negatively impact customer trust and retention. For a business in a competitive market, maintaining courteous and helpful communication is critical to success.

Negative experience: I wish that I can give it 0 star but rhere is no 0 in the app so it was the worst branch ever i have speak with alot ot branches they were all good but this one is so bad because of the man The men who work are very rude. He described him as bald above, in front, and behind. He has hair and looks like a brown-blonde beard. He was very rude and racist when dealing with me. I hope he will take action against him. Fantastic experience: I made an online order and I was having issues getting there on time to pick up my order but thankfully Andrew Sisco helped me out soo much , he definitely went above and beyond. I live about an hour way but if I lived closer I would make this my to go to GameStop !
Negative experience: I walk into this game stop with my meta quest 2 because my pet had bit off my head set and I had insurance on my device they said they couldn’t take it and too call the 1800 number so I called and the guy on the phone didn’t understand why they wouldn’t take my device so I go in their and have him talk to the representative on the phone and this guy at the store just didn’t want to give me a new device so I went to another game stop and they were able to do what they couldn’t do

Negative experience: I went in with a warranty and first thing they tried to upsell me. Then I was told it was a 1 time warranty which I would not have purchased. Next they said I should buy another warranty for the other device. Then they told me to wait as files were transferred. I decided to leave and call corporate instead of the bbb. Management seemed like it was all cool which means this is not the place to shop. Circuit city (there are a few left), best buy, or even Amazon is a better bet.

Negative experience: I called this GameStop (my closest local location) and asked for the code just released for Shiny Zacien because I practically shattered my heel and can’t get around. This location would not give me a code. They woman told me the whole purpose of their giving codes and promotions is to get clientele inside their stores. I’m not physically capable. And nobody is going to drive me to a store to get a code for a pixelated image. She told me no! How malicious is that to tell someone handicapped they can’t do something on the phone. I called the location in my hometown and they, thankfully, gave me a code. I’m just amazed my local store told me no. Whoever was working at the time stated in the phone call on 10/23 is the woman who told me no. So incompassionate.

Negative experience: While I like Vid Games I'm not a hardcore gamer who buys game chairs and waste hu dress of dollars on games and other things..I don't seem to enjoy the high prices and including the extensive figurines, and even a bit high price for a single wireless controller, and the credit for games/other stuff don't add up to much, but the funkos, and discounted items are cool.

Positive experience: When shopping for new games always get it sealed, refuse it if its open even though they claim its new. Bought a "new" switch game only to find out the Nintendo rewards already claimed for the "new" cartridge. Avoid buying new things from GameStop whenever possible
