Negative experience: If I could leave no stars, I would. I purchased a game for a Nintento Switch 2 instead of a Nintendo Switch. When I got home, I realized the error and called them. I did not use the game. They would not honor an exchange or return. Save your time, your money, and your mental health and buy your video games from Amazon or anywhere else than here.

Negative experience: I called store about 3 times 10/11/2025 around 12:15pm and there was no answer on the phone or call back when I decided to drive to the store myself the Employee when I came in was too enamored about a conversation with a customer something about a dog smelling weed and whatnot, when he finally acknowledged me I asked if they had any copies of battlefield (could have just quickly addressed me and sent me on my way but wouldn’t acknowledge me for like 10 minutes) employee told me “I only have enough copies for the people who preordered” which I completely understand but could have just told me that instead of ignoring me. It was the employee with the long black hair and facial hair, heavy dude. Went to the Wolfcreek location where had more than enough copies and actually treated me like a human being.

Negative experience: Today was the worst experience ever at this location park Ave. at about 6 o'clock my son and I and my mother walked in. we were greeted walking into the door by a employee that stated he wasn't on the clock but was helping out the other employee. the other employee was in the store room once the other guy comes out the store room. the off the clock guy informs him who all was waiting what we all needed. so he leaves and the other guy helps the first customer. so we waited and stood there the worker talked to the customer about anime for at least 20 to 30 minutes after he finished his purchase. when he had other customers waiting a guy and his son went to there car while waiting on him to get done talking. so we left with out getting the purchase that we came to get. It's cool to be passionate about your job, but it's another to be rude and inconsiderate of others time. Very disappointed and upset very bad customer services I gave two stars because of the other guy that tried to help that wasn't on the clock

Fantastic experience: I really like this location. I went there for a specific controller today for my kid. The website said it was in stock, but apparently, it was not in stock because of the constant gamestop thieves. It is not their fault, i guess, but if you got robbed weeks ago, then update your inventory.

Negative experience: They scammed my grandpa with a ps4, the ps4 wasn’t original even da box was different it didn’t had da logo and plus the controller was discolored! Like literally there was a lot of difference from the original one

Fantastic experience: I LOVE the Gamestop on Park. The only one I'll ever go to. Period. One particular employee is ALWAYS awesome. Very well knowledgeable. Megan Leutzinger. Explained everything to me very patiently.. cause I'm older.. Xbox. Wonderful. Awesome. Every time I've been in there. She's super helpful with EVERY customer. Never an issue with her. Negative experience: Placed an order online. I arrived an hour after placing the order at the store because I was in the area. There were two young workers in there. When I walked in one went to the back. I walked up to the counter and the other young man asked “can I help you?” Told him I placed an online order and was checking the status, asked was it ready and gave my name.He glanced at the monitor and said no. He said he had order stuff to do and it would be ready when he got to it and gave a bunch of excuses. I was one of 3 customers in there. I stood there a min like it will take you 3 minutes to pull the games and get my order off your checklist right? So I asked was there an ETA. Again, no because he had so much to do. I called the customer service line and was told it was too late to cancel. However my order was cancelled later that evening when the employees “got” to it. I understand that this store has its challenges but turning away a customer who has paid is crazy. I understand that my order may have not loaded in the system but I doubt that. Needless to say, I won’t come back to this location but maybe better train your staff on basic customer service like don’t tell the customer you got so much to do and then cancel my order at your convenience because I tried to cancel online and I called to cancel and was told the store had to do it.

Positive experience: I went in to buy a PS5. The lady at the counter was super helpful and knowledgeable about what I was looking for. Very professional and didn’t try to sell me a bigger system or another system. Location is in a ok’ish area however do mind your surroundings. Store was clean and they had a decent amount of inventory for many different gaming platforms. If you are looking for a specific gaming platform, call ahead to see what’s available. Other than that I had a good experience.

Negative experience: I’m so tired of this company…like how tf are they still in business?!!!! So I went to this gamestop (after buying a controller from 2 other gamestops that DIDNT WORK!) He assured me that they test them when they come in and it works….well I get home and the control wouldn’t come on….start looking around the controller and its 2 screws missing. The top is barely closed…like who took this in? WHY IS GAMESTOP SO TRASH?! Why are they still OPEN?!!!!

Negative experience: Well this isn’t good business. Pull up to store at 6:20 to find a hand written note saying on break until 6:45. Employee is in the store and won’t acknowledge us. You have a disappointed 12 year old and lost business. Get your act together Game Stop.

Negative experience: This is the worst GameStop location that I have ever shopped with in Memphis. The worker Meghan racially profiled me as soon as I walked in the door. She looked me up and down and said” you’re doing a trade in right?” I replied yes. She said I’m unable to help you. The person gave no explanation period. They just said they could not help me. I called the store to speak to the manager and the person that refused to help me. (Meghan) stated that they were the manager. I asked to speak to someone over them and they said no one was available to speak to me. I am a long time customer of GameStop and I will say this, they have lost a customer. Shop here at your own risk. I thought we were living in the 21st century where color does not matter. I see that I was wrong.

Negative experience: Don't preorder and expect to get anything extra that is supposed to come with your game. They gave my item to people that didn't preorder. They said people showed up for a midnight release and got all the items. I ordered a month in advance and was told I'd get something extra with my game. This was a birthday present for my girlfriend. This is not ok.

Negative experience: Store has 20 minutes left open called to ask to exchange a headset I have a warranty on cause it's not wanting to stay connected and was told no we can't do that but I bet if I called asking if I had time to come buy a new system they would have stayed open later

Negative experience: I purchased my new xbox series x 2 months ago and as of today it stopped working. When I was buying my Xbox, I was told that they were able to look all purchase history up in their system in case of there being any issues. When I went to return it the person there refused to help me because I was unable to also provide a receipt, physical warranty, controller, and hdmi cable. He wouldn't even look at my banking statement history. I was also told that "as of a week ago it's store policy that they are unable to look up purchase history" I then called the union store and they looked up the purchase history for me and helped me out. Not only does the park location sell bad quality products that are overpriced and break down on you in 2 months, but they also lie to your face whenever any issue arises so they can get our of doing their job. I hope some manager that works there reads this and turns the place around. I will never go back there again.

Fantastic experience: Boy Moms of Memphis! Make this your home store. I love gamestop anyway, but this one has unity hugging you as soon as you step through the door. Its not cluttered so you are not overwhelmed by products but you will most definitely find whatever it is you came in for. This particular location is family oriented, and no matter what you came in for, they make sure to send a little of GS back home with you in souvenirs.

Negative experience: Got there before 8pm (753pm) I knew what my daughter wanted Joshua was very rude...... and yes I will be making a formal complaint with corporate... but when he sees me not taking the Mr. Nice Guy approach after what he stated when I walk into the store. And no I will not return to that store.... if the sign says 10-8pm you should greet everyone like you just opened the store. $50.00 isn't a whole lot of money but what if my child ask for the new Playstation 5? You think I will come to gamestop to buy it? Nope

Negative experience: Black people be aware!! This location would do everything in his power to try and deter a black person from purchasing certain items or using warranty. Retail associate made-up rules in order to deter us from using a warranty. Called another location got a totally different response went to a different location and got a second totally different response. We were treated so much better at the other locations. Soooo Based on their own beliefs about black people they give you very poor service on Park Ave.
