Fantastic experience: Toller kleiner Laden der Kette "GameXchange". Der Verkäufer ist gut gelaunt, äußerst freundlich und vor allem Hilfsbereit. Der Store ist Ordentlich und gut strukturiert. Ich habe mich hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Als Gameboy-Sammler gab es hier leider nicht viel zu holen. Trotzdem hat sich der Besuch gelohnt.

Fantastic experience: I mean its a pawn shop for collectibles and electronics. They will give you the absolute lowest price possible on whatever it is you have to sell them. They also sale the latest video games to get u in the door.

Fantastic experience: We had a huge trade in and James and all the people working were super patient and helpful. We had a lot of stuff and the trade in value was reasonable. Good spot They also have manga and them good banana mochi cookies

Fantastic experience: If you are into any sort of retro gaming then Game X Change has to be on your list. They have a huge variety of new and used games across a ton of platforms. I was most surprised to see that they carry a huge assortment of model kits including Gundam! Action figures, posters, and a ton of used electronics are available as well. They also do trade-ins on a lot of stuff if you're interested in that.

Negative experience: I called asking about a game and they kept me on hold over 10mins without explanation I decided to hang up and try another location. Bartlett location was very responsive and quick.

Fantastic experience: This is for Marquis. My guy went above and beyond for you and I cannot express enough how appreciative I am. Give him a raise!

Fantastic experience: Came to get a ps2 for my co-worker. The staff went above and beyond to test out the system as well as the games I was getting for the console. I will definitely be back.

Positive experience: Has good choices of games and alot of good accessories only reason im giving 4 stars have to take away from how some are the games are as is when purchased and the low budget disc repair machine that is used other than that its a cool spot

Negative experience: I usually love this place but this time around it was absolutely awful two ladies running the store today and they were just terrible pretty rude and acted like everything was an inconvenience very loud and kept playing the whole time instead of doing there job fr.. we had picked up a game that on the sticker said $6 and then our cashier Tamea failed to mention that it was $40 which I felt she should have given a heads up we bought other things so my boyfriend didn’t realize that game was the reason it was so much also she was talking very low so he don’t really hear the price and obviously we can’t get a cash refund bc that isn’t allowed so we had to get store credit and we don’t really want to buy anything else from there so it’s a huge inconvenience.

Fantastic experience: My kid loves this place. Finds rare video games.

Negative experience: Nobody there knows what they’re talking about

Negative experience: By far the worst Game X Change, employees look pissed if you interrupt their phone time. 80% of the computer monitors they’re selling have the wrong specs, I bought a 1440p 165hz monitor, and after testing found out it’s a 1080p 60hz, or you can get the same monitor there in worse condition for 30 dollars more. Employees have also asked extremely weird/personal questions. Go to Bartlett.

Fantastic experience: This location was extremely busy, but the employees took time to greet my family and myself. I was looking for a particular adapter that was available only at this location. I called ahead of time to verify the availability, and the employee held the item to the side for me so I was finally successful in locating and acquiring the items I have been searching the city for. This was a friendly and knowledgeable staff

Negative experience: you guys should actually have employees who enjoy video games not some rude girl with an attitude working the counter.

Positive experience: Employees are fine, prices not so much. They have multiple games that have been out for years that are priced only $5 below new price. As in a $60 for new game vs $55 for used. Why would I buy a used game for $5 less than new? I’ll just go to target/walmart/gamestop and buy a new one.

Negative experience: What in da actual hale is with the entitled, weird, mean, fully grown sassy men employees here. if i get told "nah we dont have it" after pulling a game from the sales floor that is CLEARLY in stock imma just hop back there and dig thru the stacks myself. yall mad about 13/hr? having to assist custos? its a game store grow uppppppp

Fantastic experience: For a honest review, I’ve been going to game x change for 3 years in this location. The prices are some of the best and you can get games easily there. The staff are very nice and friendly. Overall it’s a lot better than buying online since that can take a while

Negative experience: Horrible Communication skills. Will cheat you out of your money. Also they will hang up in your face or put you out of their store if you ask too many questions on pricing system.

Negative experience: Least helpful place I have ever been. Was ignored by 3 employees or more both times I have been to this location. I’m 6’7 and 260 pounds I’m hard to miss. But as the next customer in line I was skipped by 3 other customers not even in line by the people behind the counter. Was not greeted, was not told we are a little busy, was not told anything, was not acknowledged. I will continue to go to the Southaven location where they know how to treat a customer. I have spent thousands there just this year and plan to spend more. No wonder this store has more stock than they can keep organized. They don’t actually want to sell anything.

Positive experience: It was like stepping into the past it has ALoT of old school attire n some new stuff too from classic platforms and original games to manga n collectibles and if you're looking to make a little money u can buy sale and trade its not a pawn shop: edit 4yrs later: that was the former experience DON'T sale anything without asking 1st, the employees are very cool & try to work with you but the entire DBZ series for $13 just to sale it 5x the price is disturbing to say the least, just keep it or go to a pawn shop

Positive experience: Usually always has what I'm looking for. Service is friendly and always willing to help find what I'm interested in finding.

Positive experience: The actual game selection is sometimes cool and you can SOMETIMES find some great games below market price, but basically anytime you find something even remotely compelling, they probably won't have the disk behind the counter. It's a 50/50 chance at best (probably lower, I honestly haven't been able to purchase more than one game from them after 5 visits.) Oh, and they don't clean any of the peripherals (controllers, cables, memory cards, etc.) they sell, and they are usually disgusting. Memphis is in desperate need or better/more game stores.

Negative experience: Went and bought a used 360 for 120 and took it home tray wouldn’t open,had a game in it lol,so it had to never be inspected and when i finally put the BO1 in it needed a password for parental controls that had to be removed by contacting microsoft to an account i obviously didn’t have access to they sold me a non playable xbox and had to know it wouldn’t even give me my money back so had to settle for a store credit and get current ps5 games i didnt even want just didn’t want to give my money away at that point take your money elsewhere. Cool collectibles tho.

Fantastic experience: This is probably my favorite location out of all the Game X Change stores in the Memphis area. It's always clean, well maintained, stock on the shelf is rarely out of order, a great selection of model kits, anime statues/figures, and the games (both modern and retro) have a good variety (ie; not just a bunch of sports games for retro systems) at reasonable prices given the way the retro market has been the just few years. I was just in there a week ago and got some great deals on some retro games that weren't even the type they'd secure in the glass cabinet for higher priced/premium items, and I even lucked out on finding an HG Bandai model kit for a Macross Plus YF-19 for $50 which was worth the trip alone. The other stores in the area aren't bad but if I'm going to go to just one Game X Change is always gonna be the one on Union, I rarely walk out empty handed and never disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Always something new. I stop in once every 2 weeks or so for Gundams or preowned toys. Like a Gamestop with more used stuff, and more fun.

Positive experience: It's pretty basic. They have a very small selection of switch games and their Pokemon cards are not sorted. They have plenty of 'gamer' and weeb oriented foods and drinks as well as collectibles. Personally, Game X Change is not for me, but I can see how others may derive more utility.

Negative experience: The new management at this location is extremely unprofessional and lacking hospitality/management training. She yelled at and belittled “cussed out” an employee in front of a full store of customers making it a very uncomfortable experience. The employee was simply explaining a product honestly something game exchange is known for, having a honest knowledgeable team that don’t lie to get the sale. She is untrained in management and if you don’t want a law suit from your staff or a staffing issue I would look into her employment.

Fantastic experience: I rarely write a Google review but I just have to share this... Came for the awesome selection, returning for the friendliest staff I've ever met! Made a quick stop at the store while passing through on a road trip and I'm so grateful for that decision. Thank you both for making my night and for a wonderful first time Game X Change experience!! Negative experience: We purchased an accessory for the Nintendo switch that the store clerk recommended to solve our problem. Unfortunately it was the wrong device so we came back the next day to return it. They would not offer a refund but only store credit because it was not the same day. They did not have the correct device in stock and would not order it.

Positive experience: It's hit or miss with this place. Better pricing than gamestop for sure but they don't always have the disc for the game they have for sale somehow. Also I somehow ended up with two righthand joycons for my switch when i got them used.

Negative experience: They sold me a game that didn't work. I tried to return the game the next day and they told me they could only do store credit. I asked for 3 different games or could he replace the same game. They couldn't replace or swap for any of the games I requested. So if they can't provide me with what I want I cant get my money back? Foolishness I will shop on Amazon for my games before I come here again.

Positive experience: Best games store to get what you need if it's a game, system, or things you need they'll have it immediately

Negative experience: I’ve got in this shop multiple times and have found al types of fun toys and picked up a console or two. When it comes to selection of items I believe his is their strong suite. Where they lack is customer service. Outside if two particular employees the rest seem like everything you ask them for something it is a chore. Not to mention your time at the check out counter varies depending on the number of customers and how slow the people behind the counter wants to move. I also had a larger order and tried to exchange a product for another that was equal value. The item it tried to return was an unopened box of toys. After. $200+ you think they would simply swap them out, especially if they REMEMBER who you are AND WAS THE PERSON THAT SOLD IT TO YOU!! Not a bad shop, it just could be WAY better with the proper management.

The employee who told me his name is John, is the only person working in the store and he tended to every person in front of me and after me; as I am sitting in the parking lot typing this review. Just about everyone in the store complimented him. You can expect Great customer service from this guy….but please don’t be that person to make people like him quit. I wasn’t able to leave a tip this time but I made sure I posted this review before leaving.

Positive experience: I gave this place a 3 star rating because the store was clean and the staff was friendly. I will begin by saying I'm not a cheap person. In fact, I collect video consoles and games. I think the people commenting that the prices are reasonable have never discovered the other game x changes in the area. I literally drove from the Horn lake store to this one and prices on some items down in Horn lake were almost half the price. Plus their sales tax is cheaper. This place does have some interesting finds and it's convenient to people who live in Memphis, TN.

Negative experience: I bought 2 games today. When I got home I tried them and didn't work at all I tried cleaning them but nothing. I would return them but it's a waste of time. Both disc where damaged. They should test them before selling them. Waste of money.
