Negative experience: This store used to be okay at best. But it really went downhill. I went in line for 1 item while the 2 store clerks checked someone else out. I waited about 10 mins while they talked about their fav niche animes. During this time a line formed behind me. A customer asked for a price check, skipping me in line after I waited, and helped him. They were ready to ring him up before me. The two employees also talked about work dynamics while not helping other customers. This is not the place to go to get games. Try your luck elsewhere, you have no luck here.
Negative experience: Sold a few games here today, the till said “-48.00” and the cashier told me he was giving me a prepaid card with $48 on it. When I get my receipt, it says $33.60 is on the card. Either that cashier stole from me, or GameStop takes 20% off the top without telling customers, either way you lost a customer.
Positive experience: I was at the store for a trade-in and purchase. The man at the counter was a great help. Very professional, very thorough, you could tell he took pride in his work. He fumbled a bit and made small mistakes, but he's human no big deal. He even got me to upgrade to the PRO membership. But then the manager came in, and the mood shifted to dread. Young woman, very unprofessional. Snarky, belittling the man at the counter, came in to work in pajamas, and was only giving dirty looks, snide remarks, and backhanded comments to the man just trying to learn the job. She helped me with a purchase I made but the whole time she was eye-rolling, sighing, and was visibly frustrated with her employee. All this while being in front of customers is a disgrace. Treat you employees with respect. That is how you be a good leader. Not belittling them in front of customers. Hope the man who helped me either gets a new and better manager or finds a better job. He does not deserve that constant disrespect.

Negative experience: Google (and the hours on the front door) says that this GameStop location is open until 8pm every day.. yet we showed up at 7:05pm and they are closed. Called another GameStop location which was open, and apparently this is common for this particular location and another one in the area to be closed an hour early? May I suggest changing your hours if you close an hour early every day?!
Negative experience: The new tall black guy with locks lied to me and told me that i could not trade in my iPhone because I had already factory reset and deleted all of my information off of it. And told me he flat out couldn’t take it before looking at it. Which is odd because ive never had this issue. i went down the street to the other gamestop and was promptly helped and my trade in was completed in less than 10 mins. I also work in retail so this is unacceptable. I feel like I was profiled and denied service.
Negative experience: Only getting two stars because I accomplished what I needed to buy when I was there. However, all of the employees have some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Was asked 3 times to buy insurance on a game (that I politely declined), and the employee made it seem that I just ended the world. Oh, and if you don't reserve an upcoming release...that's the ultimate slight against humanity. I only go to this Gamestop because of location to my house. I need to just buy digital and get away from physical media...then I can stop going to this store.
Fantastic experience: I’m only giving this location five stars specifically for TYE! He was amazing from start to finish of our interaction. Tye went above and beyond to help my partner and I find a specific game that our daughters wanted for their switch. He had amazing energy and again, he went above and beyond for us. Fantastic experience: Came in this store on a humbug… and so glad I did!!! I am a huge nerd and the buy one get one free Funko pop deal instantly caught my attention.. Now I didn’t think I would spend a lot but after 4 pop’s in hand I had to know did they have Fig pin’’s.. Well Ty was very helpful.. not only looked up what I was talking about he helped me find the Figpin!! (Talk about wonderful customer service ) For me I shop online all the time but with Ty’s professionalism and patience I would definitely go to this store in person to get my pre-order. (Call of Duty 7… for sure). (I found Art the Clown as a Funko pop… I love Art the Clown.. so that in itself was a sign ) Five starts all the way around…
Negative experience: Went to return a plushie I bought by mistake only to be told, cant do it, bc that sale is over, don't wanna return all items purchased, just one item Store credit?? NO....exchange?? NO. And to top it off, the kid working had to call the manager for how to do a return? And you all wonder why people don't come back.

Negative experience: Bought a same day delivery game from another location and unfortunately the game Smash Bros Brawl for the Wii was not working. I received the game damaged with scratches and smudges. Came to this location because it was the closest to my house and they told me they can't accept the return because its messed up and I have to go back to the store in midtown to return it. Mind you i just received the game today and there's a 7 day return policy for pre-owned games. He just didn't want to help and take it. Bless the other store for clarification that they should've taken it a defective and offered a refund. The other store also helped locate a store that had the game in stock so we can exchange it.
Negative experience: Sold a playstation 5. 3 games and 4 controllers and they only gave me 160 in cash.... and prolly sold all that for well over 500 dollars this place is garbage will never go back

Negative experience: I came in to use my insurance to exchange my controller for a replacement. The lady working wasted 5/6 minutes looking for a controller just to realize she was looking for the wrong controller. Then she sits there empty headed trying to figure out if she’s suppose to give me a used or new controller. She finally ends up calling another store to inquire about what she should do. The gentlemen ends up telling her to give me a new one and she goes to get it finally and she scans everything and then says I need my ID. It’s 8:52pm and I got here at 8:38pm, and she tells me I can’t leave and come back to bring her my ID because they’re “basically closed” and she would have to scan it. If you’ve been here before you know where MATC is. I live right across the street and I told her that and she said no. She wasted all that time and now I need you to give me 3/4 minutes to go 2/3 blocks to grab my ID and come back. Now I have to wait until tomorrow because she’s incompetent. If she knew what she was doing from the jump I this could’ve been done will before 8:52pm, even if I had to leave and come back to grab my ID. She moved sluggish, blamed it on her being “tired”, she “can’t think clearly”. It’s just GameStop, it ain’t that hard to at least pay attention to the details of what you’re looking for and at least know what you’re suppose to do. Should’ve taken 5 minutes TOPS, 10 if I had to get my ID. She just sucked, that’s it pretty much. She didn’t even greet me when I walked in. I said hi to her when I walked up to the counter, she never said hi back, didn’t say welcome to game stop how may I help you, nothing. Just sat there with the blank face like I invaded her space by coming into her job. Low level customer service skills, no accountability, lack of job etiquette and know how.

Negative experience: It’s not this store but I just call GameStop and standing outside where there’s only 1 customer in the store. No one pick up the phone so that recording on the phone is a lie they business because I’m standing outside looking in.
Fantastic experience: Worked with Brook to trade in several old consoles (3ds XL, Wii U, Xbox One, Xbox series S) plus games, and then use the store credit to get a new Switch and some games. She handled it all like a pro, knew how to apply all the deals/promotions, and was very friendly. Best service I've had at a store in a long time. Even with having to test all the consoles for trade-in, she had me in and out in a timely manner. I was legitimately impressed!
Negative experience: Bought a docking station for a Nintendo switch in February. IT NEVER WORKED. Finally got around to stopping in the store in West Allis in June and they have a record of the purchase. The employees exact words were " Unfortunately there is nothing I can do for you since you bought this in February." So no in store credit or anything offered for the $30 unused broken docking station. Thanks for the assurance that quality products are most likely found elsewhere and more importantly the lack of customer service to those who have a membership. Fantastic experience: I was running late getting to the store due to some poor mapping. I spoke to Brooke earlier and told her I would be there about ten minutes before closing: Arrived four minutes before closing. Brooke was absolutely amazing in the way she took the time to process my trade despite efforts from the POS system to make her close later than expected. Not to be deterred, she forewent a troublesome prepaid debit card load and took the time to open the safe so I would be able to complete my trade in that same visit. Probably the best example of what a GameStop employee should be; her attitude and demeanor during the late night hiccup showed she has what it takes to provide incredible service. 5/5. Great store, better employees.

Negative experience: Terrible GameStop don’t come. The manager is terrible. Made a 10 minute trade in take 30 minutes because she kept distracting her employee. Was also closed when I tried picking up Harry Potter which I paid for they said they were closed due to tech issues. Do yourself a favor and go to a different GameStop.

Negative experience: Saw online they had 3 Xbox’s in stock and drove to buy one. Once I was there they said I had to buy their warranty in order to buy the system per “corporate”. I said if I order online for a local pickup it wouldn’t add that but they said they would not fulfill that pick up. I called corporate this morning and they said it was not true and would be contacting the store. I will be following up with corporate and or the BBB to ensure it’s taken care of and reversed. Pretty ridiculous they blame corporate for an upsell when I might have done it if they explained the benefits.

Negative experience: I was browsing the stores and looked around at things because I was bored. I found a hat from my favorite anime, Fairy Tail. I grabbed it happily and proceeded to the counter. Nicholas was operating the register chatting to a gentleman about a gaming console. I waited patiently and when my turn came, he turned off all interactions. I was asked curtly if I had a savings card. I said no. He didn't bother to offer to sign me up for one. He tendered my transaction, shoved my hat in my hands, without a bag, and didn't even bother to offer to cut the tags off or ask if I wanted to wear it. He also failed to disinfect between customers. If this is how GameStop at this location treats their customers, I'd recommend to anyone going to the 27th and Ohio location. The staff there are knowledgeable, kind and personable. I won't go there again.

Negative experience: They dont have, much variety. There was no one in line but me and some other lady. I was waiting for the cashier and the lady to finish their full on conversation for about 5-7 mins, no exaggeration.
Negative experience: All they do is just try to make sales they lied to me about the certain headset that I bought and all that I try to call them they don't ever answer I tried to call him at least six times back-to-back nobody ever answers poor quality just shut the store down or get new management
Positive experience: Staff are really nice, some times a bit understaffed and you end up waiting in line for a long time when chatty customers come in or some one is trading in a console. The store has always been clean, they're great at answering questions and are very polite. The only downfall of this store to me is there is a specific female employee that will tack the warranty onto your bill for your game without asking you if you'd like one, be aware of your total and receipt here.
Negative experience: The manager here basically told me I'm not as important as "regular" customers just because I was trying to trade in, and I was turned away completely. Not to mention the way she talked to the employee that was trying to assist me with my trade in. All of this and the manager wasn't even working, but instead shouted across the store while waiting in line to check out herself.
