Fantastic experience: Went in to buy a new PS5 controller. The controller was reasonably priced. The controller was in excellent condition. I use it constantly. I like this store because it is the GameStop Retro store for Louisville and because it is easy to get to. Will definitely be back to shop again!
Fantastic experience: I stopped in to see if someone could tell me if the Nintendo switch 2 pro controller that I got off Facebook marketplace, worked. I came to the store straight after buying the controller. Skye was amazing!! They took the time and effort to see if this controller worked. It did work!! Nothing was wrong with it . During figuring all this out, Skye and I had a great conversation. 10/10

Negative experience: I want to share a recent experience at this location so others are aware. I was in the store today around 5:30 PM purchasing a Sonic game for my sons. The game was clearly marked on the shelf at $44.43. Before checking out, I asked the store manager whether they had the game available as a used copy. He took the game to the front, and when I arrived at the register, he stated that there was no used copy available and began ringing up the new one. At that point, I noticed the price had been changed from $44.43 to $68.49. I asked why the price was different from what was listed on the shelf. I was told that the price tag had not been updated. I explained that the listed price is what influenced my decision to purchase the game and that I was not willing to pay a higher amount than what was displayed. After a brief back-and-forth, I requested the district manager’s name and contact information. That request was denied, and I was told I could leave the store, which I did. I then contacted corporate customer service and filed a formal complaint regarding the situation and the interaction. After speaking with customer service, the issue was resolved, and I was ultimately able to purchase the game at the originally displayed price. However, the overall experience was disappointing. The interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional, especially given that pricing accuracy and customer communication are basic expectations in retail. I’m sharing this as a heads-up for anyone shopping at this location. Please double-check prices at checkout and be aware that shelf pricing may not always match what you are charged. Transparency and customer service matter, and I hope this location takes steps to address this going forward.

Negative experience: The guy working Friday afternoon oct 24th by himself at the front didn’t say hello or knowledge me when I was the only person in the store at the moment, he sat on his phone until I walked up and asked a question about a new game availability and it seemed like it was the last thing on earth he would rather do. Unfortunate that GameStop is going so down hill and the new Radio shack. Would try to stay away from this GameStop due to bad customer service if possible.
Fantastic experience: Phenomenal Service. I went to the midnight release for pokemom legends ZA. Staff was friendly, helpful, and the process went so smoothly! I wanted to purchase a game console while in store during the release and they made it happen. Super happy with the service and will be returning.

Negative experience: EDIT: I went to st Matthew’s mall location and they gave the the mask. Hoarding masks that you can’t even have for yourself is really weirdo activity I was supposed to receive a mask since I preordered Borderlands 4 online. The girl at the counter said it would be mailed to me since the game was being shipped. But when I called GameStop later they said I could’ve picked it up in the store. The game came but no mask. So basically the girl didn’t know her job or she lied. Either way it’s petty

Negative experience: Went in to just window shop and wasn’t spoken too at all but as I was leaving heard a side comment about if they had just got robbed and me and my brother were the only two in the store at that moment of leaving I did not steal anything and neither did my brother but it makes me want to cancel my pro membership after something like that
Negative experience: Stopped by this location as it is listed as having a “retro” collection. Was not greeted or asked if I needed assistance by any of the 3 employees. The browsable retro section has no cartridge based games. I eventually got the attention of an employee to ask about cartridge games. The employee unlocked a drawer on ground beside me and kicked it open to reveal a disorganized handful of old games. I leaned over to move items as they were not all visible. I was then reprimanded for touching the games. I promptly left and will not return. Put the games behind glass or set them out for customers to view if you’re that concerned. A total joke.
Negative experience: Brought my son into the store to purchase a few newly released games and a couple of items he wanted, along with several things I had wanted as well. Asked the guy behind the counter if he knew the price of the Turtle Beach headset and he shouted “Nope. Sure don’t.” I was struck by the tone and volume, having not experienced customer service like this at this location before I was also quite bothered. Having the salesperson completely ignore us when we walked in and the sheer unwillingness to help, or offer to look up a price, when my son walked over with a few items he was wanting I instructed him to put them down. We simply walked out not wanting to be a burden furthermore. We will no longer do business with any Game Stop again, and have let several friends and family members know as well. They have also expressed similar sentiments and have agreed this company is a far cry from what it once was. What a shame.
Fantastic experience: Matt was working solo today for the Switch 2 pre-order drop. He was friendly to everyone in the line, very personable, and efficient as well. Yes we waited in line for a bit but we got taken care.

Fantastic experience: I went to this location yesterday to get myself a birthday present. Called ahead and spoke to who I assume was the manager, super nice guy. Asked if they had the PDP RiffMaster in stock, they did. The other location I called just told me no as soon as I called and hung up. Renewed my subscription just for the discount on Pokemon Cards. No longer buy physical games, but will come here to buy my controllers and cards going forward thanks to the manager being genuine.
Negative experience: Honestly just a bunch of kids having a grand Ole time and not great at relaying accurate info. Called to see if they had a decent amount of DS games for my kids to look at and said they did but had a total of 7 games to buy. Drove a good bit for my kids to be disappointed.
Negative experience: From the moment we walked in the worker had a bad attitude and didn’t seem like he even wanted us to be in there. When we went to pay he scanned everything and handed him a gift card and he started complaining about how it didn’t have a barcode. He was not friendly at all I will not be shopping there again. Negative experience: Jonathan almost refused to sell me a cheaper PS5 because it had a mature 17+ game package and Im clearly over that age he kept trying to insist that I buy the regular PS5 luckily my Id was in the car and I was able to get the cheaper version

Negative experience: Called to ask if they had a new game in stock to know if I should drive there or just buy it online. When I asked if they had the game available, he said “I’d hope so, it came out today” in a rude way. I said “awesome, thank you”, then he just quietly hung up on me. I’ve also had some preorders I made in store that I guess never came in, and I’d have to go in store to cancel them- but I’d rather not deal with rude workers.

Negative experience: Paid for halo infinite pre-order. They told me they don't have my pre-order and that they can sell me the game. This gamestop literally took $60 from me and didn't get me my game because they lost it and accused me of lying about it.
Negative experience: This GameStop refused to disclose the number of Playstations that they had in stock—a number that they knew— forcing customers to stand out in the cold on Thanksgiving. As a result tons of people would waste hours of their life for no reason. Hundreds of GameStops throughout the country had no problem telling customers how many PlayStations were in stock. But this store just wanted to be cruel and make up rules that don’t help anyone.
Fantastic experience: I can honestly say that since the year the PS4 and Xbox One came out, I've stayed loyal to GameStop. When the previous place I called home for all things gaming couldn't tell me if I'd get this special edition PS4 if I paid in full, I went there. They've always been very good at answering any questions I have, and that month alone I had already purchased 2 PS4s And 3 Xbox One. They have great replacement warranties and rewards program making it the whole package.

Negative experience: Worst customer service I have experienced in a while. We drove a long distance to purchase a console and when we arrived they had apparently sold it. Employees are keeping the consoles and reselling them, since they are low in stock. Stay away from this store!

Positive experience: GameStops can widely vary in terms of quality. Let me start with the good first. All the items are clearly laid out and are easy to find with the exception of some items in the top shelf being out of reach without a ladder. There's always amazing items at a slight markup but not got awful. However, some GameStops have great employees that are extremely helpful others on the other hand have extremely annoying employees that will just not leave you the hell alone. Unfortunately this is one of the stores where the employees will just not leave you the hell alone. Come here if you need to, But I'd recommend other GameStops over this one

Negative experience: I preordered a Hex and Neon Elite Controllers 3 months ago and was told that it was suppose to come in November 4th. It is now the 6th and I have heard nothing from the staff. My things could not even be tracked. I paid well over $400 for these controllers and I am starting to reconsider ever purchasing anything from this store again.
