Negative experience: They got good stuff. But Ive looking at a book bag that came off its security spot and young male came out the back asked the man at the counter rushed to what we where viewing. The man at the counter rushed out to get us saying what you need unlocked like if we were going to steal it. I will never support this store again for a second time after i left the first time wow i sire felt welcomed and appreciated thank no thanks. My daughter and i were viewed as thieves shitty customer service.

Negative experience: Been here twice and everybody here is extremely rude please get this store in check ! Also not sure who is the District manager but there’s a huge problem with NO STORES PICING UP THE PHONE !!! Who ever is the district manager needs to be replaced because this is insane been like this for years and this issue isn’t fixed.

Fantastic experience: I have been here once maybe earlier this year and I was satisfied as a customer. I think I purchased just 1 ps4 game among all the other games that were available but this gamestop is a good place to go to if you're looking either for help with finding certain titles or just want to buy something you'd expect to be here.
Negative experience: I came in here to buy a LeafGreen cartridge for my newly acquired DS lite. The initial interaction was good, with decent customer service for this area of town. I found out about a week later through an appraiser that the cartridge was fake. I verified this by exporting the save and checking the hexadecimal code. I went back in to see if I could buy a FireRed cartridge but this time I asked politely about the legitimacy of the cartridge. The tall, heavyset young man with a goatee was extremely rude, unprofessional and frankly abrasive. It left me wondering how he even has a job there. Aside from his lack of knowledge about video games at a video games store, he was carrying on an inappropriate conversation about sex and grooming while I was there and was extremely rude when I inquired about the game. The other you g man was nice and saved me from cancelling my pro membership. He is skinny and shorter than the other guy. For 75 plus tax for a Gameboy advanced game in medium condition with no box or anything, you’d think they’d take a question like that more serious. I am a collector and was thrilled about GameStops retro program, but will avoid this store when I see that guy working. For any customer service rep from GameStop, I have a receipt and my transaction is on file with my phone number in case you need more info.
Fantastic experience: So thankful for this GameStop location and their amazing staff. I had ordered some older games online from GameStop and had to return them but my local GameStop (falsely) said that I couldn’t return them at their store because they were older. So I went to my nearest “Retro” GameStop location here. Sadly, GameStop customer service can be lacking but this location is amazing. They helped me with my online return, explained the situation to me where I now understand I CAN return these older games elsewhere but the staff just didn’t want to take them, and gave me an overall great experience. I wish this was my local GameStop! They are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, etc. Thank you so much!
Negative experience: Went there last night trade a series S for a series X, was told last night it’s too late, understood, came back next morning, was told “i’m not doing trade ins”. Joke of a company no wonder the company is dying.

Negative experience: Sent 2 cards in for grading. PSA told me they only received one card from GameStop. Employee never sent my second card. They knew this for a week apparently and never told me until I came to pick up my card. Says they ran cameras looking everywhere and the girl who initially took my submissions doesn’t work there anymore. How convenient. They’re Only willing to reimburse me what a grade 9 would have costed which isn’t acceptable. Do not trust them with your cards.

Fantastic experience: Employees are knowledgeable, was able to answer questions I had about a console release and other preorder questions about the console. No complaints whatsoever, inside the store was very clean.
Negative experience: If I can give a -0 I would every time I go in there to trade they always try to low ball online said 215 for ps5 in good condition which mine is just has some dust in it they gonna say because of the dust we have to send it to clean so we will give you 120 like hell no when I just took off the cover and cleaned it myself do not go here they try to low ball everytime they need to be shut down I’m calling corporate on them
Negative experience: I submitted my cards for PSA grading in on 11-27-24 and while the employee was packing up my cards, he put one of my cards into a soft plastic sleeve (they should be hard plastic toploader) I told him to fix the packaging and he refused. That card ended up getting damaged in shipping and got a horrible grade. Usually this place is good but I’m very annoyed at the outcome of this situation.

Negative experience: Wanted to get a game I had pre ordered, get there at opening time with the gates still closed, eventually employee unlocked the door to later tell me I have to wait for another employee to come because he don’t have a key to the stock room, 20 mins later finally the employee get the keys only 10 more later of him searching to tell me the game hasn’t arrived yet despite being a 1st party Nintendo game. I don’t know what happened to this store over the last year or two, but at least 6 months ago it had better staff then now.

Negative experience: I remember back when this store used to be the golden standard of Philadelphia GameStops, now it’s just frustration waiting to happen. Spent 10 mins calling the store repeatedly (along with the employee of the GameStop I was currently in) no answer not surprising, finally got through to someone, was immediately put on hold. Stayed on hold long enough to drive 20 mins from one store to another just to walk into this store completely empty (minus 2 customers who were in the back) and the only employee there putting away shipment. I was still on hold as I made my purchase, but when I said something about it to the employee they claimed it’s been “very busy” despite the store being empty, relatively still clean and not at all seeming to busy to answer a phone instead of leaving me on hold for 20 mins. It’s ridiculous but hey it’s GameStop Cottman, they have the best stock of games in the Philadelphia area you just have to drive over for yourself to actually be helped. Hate that I even have to leave this review but I can’t shake the feeling of annoyance that comes from every time I try to shop at this store.

Positive experience: The cashier was pleasant and informative very helpful, I got everything I was looking for. Update only problem I have is the employees never answer the phone and half the time they are not even extremely busy. Other than that the employees are very informative helpful and you get what you need.
Negative experience: Went to purchase a pair of gaming headphones for Xbox S and the store employee sold me a pair of brand new Turtlebeach headphones with the a label that specifically said PS4 and PS5 despite me questioning it, he guaranteed they’d work. They did not! My fault for not reading the receipt or return policy at their check out counter but I could NOT get a refund because it was a new item that was now opened (but how else do you know if something works without opening and trying it?!). I could only get store credit and they only had a refurbished headset that cost me and additional $10. Just be mindful when purchasing brand new items at GameStop.

Fantastic experience: The lack of real security is of great concern. The first time I brought my 8 y/o son, there was a guy with shifty eyes who repeatedly darted his eyes to the cashier. We left, I called the Police when I got in my car. Two times after that theft occurred. Now your business is boarded up because of the looting, it doesn't make it feel safe there.
Positive experience: Perfectionist at it finest... The worker had me laughing...
Negative experience: Only two people working. One person sat talking on their cell phone for a personal call while I waited. The person in front of me got short changed because the cashier had no change for cash payments. Store needs a major overhaul in service and preparation.
Negative experience: The people here are fantastic, but I can't give a good review to gamestop in general. They have changed their reward system from being able to redeem $100 worth of points to just over half of that, and they are raising the price of a membership. They have lost me as a customer with this move. Too many other choices out there to buy from. Stay away from gamestop.

Negative experience: Avoid this Game Stop at all costs because one they have weird people working here and two their stock is always low and three because one time I was sold a defective game and when I came to return it after getting a refund they told me I could find it in a Game Stop in Bucks County and to my disappointment I regret ever listening to the guy that was working here at that time that told me that because when I went to check the Game Stop they told me about I was told there that their system said that they had the game but they didn't have a physical copy in stock the people that have been working at this Game Stop have been some of the worst I won't be shopping here ever again

I try to have patience, and I don’t want to be that person that complains about things, but each week I hear a new excuse why they don’t have it. I’ll change my review once they fix things up, because I don’t understand why a major game retailer can’t have stuff in on time on release day or at least a few days after.

Fantastic experience: Recently purchased a pre owned ps4, had an issue with it, brought it in for a replacement, which then that one ended up not working at all. Brought that back the same day, and was helped by Eric and Alex. They were extremely helpful, really went out of their way to make sure my issue was resolved. I walked out with a better console, better controller, and a guarantee it should work (because they tested it for me in the store). I appreciated everything they did for me, they really went above and beyond.

Negative experience: I went into gamestop yesterday to return a ps5 bundle that I had bought a week before. Prior to my visit I called two other gamestops to confirm that I could return it and both stores confirmed that I was able to. I went into the store where the representative kindly started to return my purchase. He then proceeded to tell me that he has to check to see if the gift card that was included in the bundle could be returned. He then call over his manager with glassss who did not even take the time to look over anything and then proceeded IGNORANTLY with “she can’t return that” without even acknowledging that I was even there. I asked why? I called two other gamestops that said that I could. He then SARCASTICALLY told me “well who told you that?” then “called” someone and in the most ignorant way said “that’s what I thought” then told me “like I said that’s not returnable.” and walked away. His behavior was extremely disrespectful, ignorant and completely uncalled for. I went into another gamestop where they WILLINGLY returned my purchase with no issues at all. I also know a person who previously worked for gamestop and said the reason why he refused to take my return was because he didn’t want to take a hit on his numbers. So with that being said I will be taking this to corporate for refusing me of return that I was able to receive and for his disgusting attitude!!!!

Bought a brand new game with reciept that wasnt open and wanted to return (less than 30 days) told me he cant take it back and i should trade it in.
