Experiencia negativa: Went to this location at 11:15 AM, the store opens at 11. The door was locked and the employee inside looked at me and the other group of 10 people trying to get in and went back to work on his computer, as if we were annoying him. He ignored us knocking, calling, and waving. Worst location I’ve been to. It’s fine if you need to open late, but the lack of communication and attitude is not how you treat a paying customer. Especially with your open sign on.

Experiencia negativa: Ring, ring, ring…no one answers the phone. These people cost themselves sales because they don’t answer the phone. I was looking for a used PS4 game, and wanted to confirm they had one copy left, from what the Gamestop website showed. Only location in town to have it, apparently. Called several times…phone just rings and rings. Was able to call Collectible Cards and Games and they had two copies left, but $5 more than Gamestop. I went and bought it anyway because I can’t trust this location. Lesson: answer your phones. You might lose out on a sale if you don’t.

Experiencia negativa: I just went into this GameStop to see if they had anything I was looking for and the cashiers were SUPER rude. I was just asking a genuine question about the price and the employee was short and snappy. Walked right out and do not recommend this location to anyone. Already have ridiculous prices but the customer service is the worse. I would understand if I was being rude but I was just asking a question since the price wasn’t on the product. Please do better.

Experiencia negativa: Not sure on what position they held but Bree (per receipt) was probably the most miserable/rude person I’ve met in a long time. Basically got told in her own words I’m the problem with gaming for not pre-ordering and buying digitally (I don’t buy games often so just went in for a new release, which they had by the way). When handing over the money she just snatched it out of my hand with attitude. Should’ve seen the reaction when I denied all the extra stuff/protection.. I even verified with others around me outside that I wasn’t crazy and didn’t deserve that. I returned it down the street to another GameStop and got my money back. I will not be going back. I felt is was necessary to write this given in over 20 years of buying from GameStop, I’ve never had a bad interaction let alone one I had to write about (its games…)

Experiencia negativa: !!! Buy your games somewhere else but not here!!! Worst manager named Bree. They should display at the counter that physical credit card and ID required for return. I have purchased a ps5 pre owned disk for 32$ using Apple Card tap ,they did not ask me for an id while purchase nor my physical credit card and when I tried to return it couple of days later they Manger Bree the blonde asks for physical card the next day I went with my physical card and then they ask id and the next day I went with my id and they say they can’t take the return as the 7 days passed. They did not ask any id for any of the persons standing before me in line. They sold me a pre-owned disk for a price which I can buy a brand new one else where. They did not even provide a full store credit instead they offer $18 out of $32 I paid.

Experiencia negativa: have gone here several times but have had very negative experiences with Bree (she has orange ish hair ) & it seems this is an EXTREMELY common experience reading the other reviews. when i would ask questions about the availability of a product or something like that, she responds with such a bad attitude?? she responds in this extremely condescending manner and makes it seem that i was stupid for even asking ? as a woman myself, i’m wondering why she thinks she’s entitled to be snarky & rude to customers (not just “men” if that’s what ur thinking). not only that but every time i’ve gone , she tries to pressure NON STOP to sign up for a game stop membership , credit card or WHATEVER else possible & when you say no , she gets upset and tried to shove more reasons down ur throat on why you need to get these things. she’ll make sure to repeat it over 3 times and try to get you to sign up- i always say NO firmly & she’ll paint you as an idiot for not giving in bc of all the “perks” ur missing - what a joke. btw i’ve gone with friends before and all of them have also caught on to her attitude so no it’s not just me. she should not be working in retail or anything customer service or be completely re trained because it’s unfathomable that someone like this is working at a retail store with exceptionally POOR / NON EXISTENT customer service. do better game stop & avoid either this store or avoid help from her and find another employee.

Experiencia negativa: The store manager was unnecessarily rude and dismissive. I stopped by to pick up a submitted cards, and the experience was unexpectedly unpleasant. The interaction felt unprofessional and uncomfortable. I won’t be returning. If you’re in the area, I recommend GameStop - 1130 E Parker Rd STE 205 instead — much more professional and respectful staff.

Experiencia positiva: Would be 5 stars if I didn’t get harassed by the lady trying to get me to buy a warranty. She was pretty rude. I get that it’s the job to ask, but do you guys threaten their jobs or something? I honestly felt like I was going to open my PS Portal and there would be corrosion all over it based on how badly she was trying to force a warranty. After saying no multiple times she always had to say something else.. while I was checking out after she realized I wasn’t getting a warranty she continued to bag my order while cutting into the transaction next to me hassling them over a $4 warranty after the guy who was checking them out asked. It was waaaay overkill and I’ll drive the extra few minutes to go to a different one over having to deal with that again.

Experiencia negativa: I had an awful experience due to an interaction with an employee named Bree. I went in to return several games that I'd purchased online and was just short of yelled at for being an inconvenience and messing up the store's metrics. During the interaction, she was impatient, slammed stuff around, was passive-aggressive, and spoke down to me. I was holding back tears and apologized for the inconvenience but soon realized she was just going to take her emotions out on me. She implied that I was abusing the system by buying things online and returning them in-store and proceeded to complain about other problematic customers doing this. After reading the other reviews here, I'm not so sure the customers are the problem. I will not be back. - Editing to add that the games I was returning arrived without cover art, which is something I knew was a risk when buying pre-owned and try to avoid for collecting, but I didnt think it would be an issue to return them. When she began scanning my games, she initially said they can only be returned for store credit. I asked why, because the games were within the seven day return period, which she didn't respond to. She seemed very annoyed with me and started doing the return. This feels dishonest and predatory. Also, shame on Gamestop if they do use a system that hurts stores based on return metrics. No employees should be getting in trouble for customer returns. Customers shouldn't be made to feel bad for making returns. No one should be getting yelled at... Do better.

Experiencia negativa: So unorganized. Called the store multiple times over the course of two hours, no answer. Got ahold of the one in Lewisville for a specific game, they said this location had at. I go there, ask for the game, they say there is one copy. It’s not on the shelf though. So they do a half attempt to look for it. They maybe looked for 30 seconds before just moving on without telling us they didn’t have it. Literally any other GameStop in the area is better than this one. Customer service is horrible. The store is unorganized.

Experiencia negativa: I had called multiple times after calling other GameStops about a switch 2 pre-owned and this specific location did not pick up after asking other stores to which this one was mentioned and I tried to save myself a trip and I called multiple times to no pick up just to show up and see someone standing behind the counter and tell me they have NO PRE-OWNED SWITCH 2.... Anyone reading this make sure the store your going to answers their phone otherwise like me it will be a hugh waste of time.

Experiencia negativa: I stopped by GameStop recently and had a really unpleasant experience. The manager Bree— a blonde woman with short hair and a forearm tattoo — was loudly on the phone discussing a new hire’s pay when I walked in, which already felt unprofessional. When I went to purchase a game, she refused to complete the sale unless I provided a phone number or account. I just wanted to make a quick purchase, but she insisted I try multiple numbers before making an attempt to sell me the game, then went on to make a snarky comment about me not upgrading to a newer system. To make it worse, they didn’t even have the game in stock after all that. I wasn’t looking for much — just wanted to relive some nostalgia playing Halo — but the entire interaction was rude and dismissive. This manager could definitely use some training on basic courtesy and how to create a positive guest experience. I can only imagine other customers being treated the same way.

Experiencia negativa: Worst experience at a GameStop to date . I purchase 230 dollars worth of repacks . I purchased 4 of their 3rd party repacks . 2 juice box tcg and 2 certified psa basketball repacks. It’s absolutely gross to charge 67 dollars for the certified psa basketball repack and get a 5-10 dollar card at best ! And say this is a fair value.. criminal . Then the juice box tcg repack for 38 dollars only had 5 dollar Japanese cgc mint 9 ex’s cards . Like wow. Then GameStop store , district manager and customer would not provide an adequate solution. they gave me the run around and that they can’t do anything since it’s trading cards and purchases are final. Game stop make this right ! Provide Store credit or something . I will no longer shop here until a resolution is provided. Buying 230 dollars worth of product to get 20-30 dollars of value is criminal. Please remove these product from the shelves immediately

This evening, I tried to return a PS Portal and the cashier didn't let me return the item when it was well within the range but she didnt understands how dates worked on a normal calendar and she didn't know how to use a computer. I'm done with Gamestop, and I no longer find it useful anymore. Like buying physical copies was cool back in 2012, and I like trading Pokemon cards but then i turned 9. So the only reason to maintain relevancy is selling overpriced collectors merchandise and Hot Topic has the upper hand on that.

Experiencia negativa: My brother and I went into the location just looking for some Pokémon cards and the employee treated us like idiots for not knowing they do controlled launches for the cards. (sorry we are employed and don’t line up to scalp cards once a week) They then tried to sell us on a paid membership so we could get a discount if we were gonna start showing up to wait for their controlled launches. And then I even found out they don’t even sell at retail prices!! I do not know how you could have a less appealing pitch for possible customers!!

Experiencia negativa: I went to GameStop, and they informed me about a trade-in offer. I wanted to trade in my controller for another color, knowing I would have to pay the difference. They told me that if my controller passed all the tests, I would only need to pay $17 for a new controller plus the trade-in value. I confirmed with them that I would only have to pay $17, and they said yes. The next day, I returned with my controller, but this time, a different employee assisted me. He seemed to really dislike his job and informed me that while my controller passed the tests, he would only give me a $6 discount—not $6 off the price, but just $6 off. I don’t know what happened, but they really need to clarify their rules.

Experiencia negativa: They have our PSA submission to another customer, it has been over a month of going in and trying to get it resolved, no response, 3 times " we will file this and get back to you within a week " no they don't. They dont answer the phone, EVER. I legitimately have called 20 times with 0 response. Manager Bre will not call us back, they have lost $1500 worth of PSA submission cards, no response, no callback. I need in touch with the district manager.

Experiencia negativa: Don’t buy your hardware from Gamestop. I ordered a ps5 controller online, and the color was much more pink in person than on the computer (chroma pearl). Gamestop would not let me return it because it was opened, even though I literally looked at it for 5 seconds and boxed it back up. All of gamestops competitors (Amazon, Walmart, Target) would’ve accepted this return, and I recommend you get your gaming items from there

Experiencia fantástica: I don’t really understand the minimal bad reviews I keep reading about this place. My experiences here have always been pleasant. Came in recently to sell my old PS4 and a couple of games. Bree was awesome. She did what she needed to do to make sure everything was there before making me an offer. She made me a great offer. She was really respectful. I wonder if the bad reviews from some of these folks are because they didn’t get their way when they wanted to sell something, or maybe they had to wait a few minutes in line before getting to the register. There’s always two sides to every story. As far as I’m concerned, this place is great, and the people that work there are great. I think certain man children just can’t handle the fact that a woman knows something about games and gaming consoles, and is able to manage a GameStop because of it, so it makes them feel threatened. Grow up. And y’all wonder why you can’t get a girlfriend.

Experiencia fantástica: I picked up Assassin's Creed Shadows this weekend and was hitting an error when trying to create a Ubisoft account. I tried multiple things to fix it and couldn't get it to work. An employee was very helpful in that she suggested to me that I try creating the account under a different email. That fixed the issue I was having! I was trying to trade in the game because I was frustrated, and she convinced me it was worth the extra effort, and it was! I didn't catch her name, but she has red hair.

Experiencia negativa: I recently visited this GameStop to purchase two games as gifts, and unfortunately, the experience was frustrating. The employee, Bree, kept aggressively pushing me to sign up for the Pro membership and add game protection. Despite me repeatedly saying no and explaining these were gifts, she continued to pressure me, even trying to guilt me into buying it. A no should mean no, and it was to the point where I considered leaving and purchasing the games at Target instead.

Experiencia negativa: I really don’t like giving places 1 star, especially to a place who needs business such as GameStop. I walked in to an empty store with 3 employees loudly conversing behind the registers. There was no break in conversation until well after I started looking for what I came in for. My question was answered shortly and snidely, and the 3 employees continued conversation as if I had intruded on a rather important discussion. All in the same breath too, it was fascinating. 1. I really want to support GameStop but $56 is too steep as the cheapest option for a PS4 controller, especially pre owned. 2. When a corporation is publicly known to be flailing, customer service should be stellar especially when prices are not a selling point.

Experiencia negativa: Bree is such a disrespectful person. She talks down to people and makes snarky remarks and facial expressions at the slightest inconvenience or “no” when she tries to sell you something. Her sales skills need a ton of work. You can see and feel the desperation when she tries to sell you something, and even then it’s in a hostile tone. She’s constantly watching all of the other employees and interrupting them when they are talking to other customers. She needs some major re-training or maybe even a different job at this point according to all of these reviews. I will NOT be coming back and will tell all of my friends to never step foot in that place.

Experiencia negativa: I went in to buy a used gaming console. The girl working there was talking loudly about her dating life to her coworkers and We found that disrespectful. When we did ask for the used console the girl started talking condescending to us and trying to upsell us to the new console. Keep in mind we only wanted this to casually play our old games. When we said we werent that interested she didnt let up and kept going on about how we will be more frustrated and not be able to play the new games. I once again told her thought I didnt want a new console. After she kept insisting I said thank you and left and bought the console at another place. Maybe the gamestop employee should just give the customer what they ask for instead of berating and humiliating them for not being the most savvy person when it comes to games. Wont be back

Experiencia negativa: Bree is rude. Went in quick at 7:55 for 1 pack of Pokémon cards just so she could yell at us that they were about to close so hurry up! There was no one there and no one coming but still she watched us like a Hawk and let us know we were being a nuisance for shopping there. Horrible customer service.

Experiencia positiva: Edit: went in when they opened and the manager was very helpful to remedying the situation. Original:We purchased call pf duty and when we got home, we found out they had never actually gave us the game. Tried to call them multiple times (right after they had closed since they close at 5), and couldnt get a hold of anyone.

Experiencia fantástica: If I could give 20 stars to JESS, I would! Gamestop has a rare gem there and I hope they know it. JESS is amazing and went to infinity and beyond for me. I've had the worst time dealing with GameStop support online and I felt so defeated and ready to give up hope. Jess was my life line and accomplished in less than 24 hours what I couldn't in 2 weeks. It wasn't even Jess' job, had nothing to do with a store purchase and you know what? It didn't matter. I honestly don't know if anyone has ever helped me more than Jess, so I guess this isn't necessarily a gamestop location review as much as it is a review for the AMAZING manager they have there. Y'all better hold on to that one... unless Jess wants to leave, then y'all better up your game THANK YOU JESS!!! FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART!!! YOU THE MVP, the GOAT, and whatever else symbolizes THE BEST!!!

Experiencia negativa: Gamestop: have a WARNING sign at the door of who or what pronoun is working at ur stores!! Not everyone in the world holds same values as ur employees. Let's keep it real!! . Most importantly, watch out parents, there's a 6'5" he-she wearing a mini skirt thinking it's ok for HIM to scold 4 & 6 year old kids. If he was to bend over, which am sure he does when parents aren't around, kids of all ages that shop there would be scarred for life. Also, no selection at the store, horrible customer service, bunch of odd bods working there. First & LAST time here.

Experiencia negativa: I pre-ordered the Final Fantasy XVI deluxe edition and they sold it to someone right in front of me by letting them "upgrade" from standard to deluxe at the counter. Now I can't get the deluxe edition even though I prepaid for it and was at the door when the store opened. C'mon now. If you were going to let people upgrade you should've had the extra inventory, that's just negligent.

Experiencia negativa: Things were going great until the guy at the register insisted on charging me $69 for a headset that clearly as you can see in the pic shows $49.99 . I even brought him a second pair to the counter and he insisted on not honoring the price shown which is very poor customer service . Instead wanted to push a membership down my throat. No empathy , no honoring of price l. Just dry monotone and told me he won’t honor the price shown. Is this how we do our patrons GameStop …?! Gaylord location !

Experiencia fantástica: Everyone on staff here is always super friendly and willing to answer whatever questions I have. They also don't constantly ask about memberships and pre-orders. I'm in there pretty often. Love going in and getting some new games or cards and they always make it nice going in. Very appreciated, everyone on staff in this store deserves a raise.
