Fantastic experience: The guys at the store were great and very helpful. Stopped in needing a repair for my sons' PS5 console.They quickly took a look at it, addressed the problem, and helped me come up with a solution. I would highly recommend!

Positive experience: Great selection of video games including rares that were a fair deal. I wanted a game but was unable to talk the price down. It was tails concerto at 399 I believe. I was almost there. At 379 it would of been bought. But I understand it was already a good deal just not enough for me to buy. Thank yall for what you do.

Fantastic experience: Went to get my switch repaired because it was not charging, they figured out there was no issue really quick and they were honest and upfront with me. They also have a really good selection of games and I was able to get the kids a new game with the money they saved me.

Took time out of his day to try and fix my MetaQuest controller that had some corrosion due to my own stupidity, and then refused to take any payment for it when he actually got it working again. The shop feels very personable and like a good place to hang out and play board top games with friends. Highly recommend. Thanks Sean!

Negative experience: This place is an absolute joke. Stay completely away from here!! First off their prices on almost anything retro is laughable even compared to eBay. I was referred here by a couple of friends in the retro community so I thought I would give them a chance to repair one of my PS2’s. The big guy at the counter tried to tell me to my face that no one sells new lasers for the PS2, which is completely incorrect. There are hundreds of companies that have both new old stock and new knockoff cheap lasers. The new old stock is genuine Sony parts. Where as the third-party ones Are most likely made by Samsung or Toshiba. I dropped off my console to get it inspected and repaired and after a full 24 hours, I asked for my receipt. I thought that would be a very easy request to fulfill. I then called up to the store and no one answered after several calls so I showed up there. The big guy let me know that he would get me the receipt as soon as he could, and after a while again of not hearing anything from them, I called up to the store to inquire and some small skinny guy with long blonde hair Had a major attitude problem with me on the phone. I asked him to get the gentleman that I was originally dealing with and instead of him just defusing the situation and getting me a receipt he said that me asking for a receipt after over 30 hours was an unreasonable request, and that I was being unreasonable and pushy by asking for my receipt. The big guy than called me a couple of hours later to let me know that he didn’t feel comfortable working on my console after he lied to me about two different things and refused to give me a receipt after 30 hours. Mind you this was after I just spent over $200 the day before on two games and was fully ready to pay their $30 diagnostic fee on top of their $80 laser replacement Which is almost triple what I paid for the system. So now I will be inclined to learn how to replace the laser assembly on my own all because they originally refused to furnish me a receipt and their employee who has no business being in customer service flew off the handle because low key bro is a miserable person and is very abrasive. I encourage you to look at all my reviews as I professionally review businesses and I have never dealt with this crappy of service especially in the Gaming community where it’s literally supposed to be “all fun and games.”

Fantastic experience: I've recently discovered and fallen in love with this place. They have an incredible selection of retro nostalgic products, the staff are incredibly friendly and eager to assist with any thing you need. It's such a relaxed environment I met someone and we discussed video games at length for about an hour while browsing the selection, wasn't rushed out the door, ended up finding some gems and having an overall great experience. Excellent place to shop.

Never a question of if there's anything to buy, but how much do I Want to spend? So many cool games, both rare and common, with plenty of consoles and collectibles from old game guides to figurines to even card games like Magic and Pokemon. It's my #1 video game store.

Negative experience: Was referred to this place by a gamestop employee, which should have been red flag #1. I drove an hour to get there, and when I arrived not a single employee acknowledged me nor made me feel welcome. In fact,I was the one who contacted a employee and asked how this thing goes red flag #2. Only to spend two more hours waiting for an estimate for 17 games; red flag #3. When they gave me the estimate it was definitely a low offer considering how much they are selling things for; red flag #4. I dont see how someone can get a 5 star experience from this place.

Fantastic experience: I signed up to play my first Nexus Night (Riftbound) at this store because they were offering booster boxes (really hard to find in stock places at msrp) for the first people to sign up. My job normally makes it difficult for me to make Nexus Nights in the area. Unfortunately, due to circumstances outside of VG+ control, the event was cancelled. I was bummed, but I understood there was nothing they could do about it. I assumed they would sell the boxes to the next customers and life would move on. Instead, I got a message that since I signed up for their event, they were holding the box for me to buy if I was still interested. That was a very cool gesture for me and I can’t thank them enough. That’s the kind of customer service you want from a local shop! I will definitely be back!

Fantastic experience: I had them repair a xbox elite controller for me. The initial in person conversation was great, they were nice informative and to the point, which i like. They kept me updated at every step. When i came to pick it up there was a issue with the controller. They had the guy come back and fix the controller immediately. Fantastic experience: I had an amazing time looking at tons of cards I got to work with a really nice gentleman named Bishop who works here. I highly recommend you ask for his service by far. He is one of the most patient card shop employee I’ve ever worked with by far since I started collecting.

Negative experience: I used to like this place, but then they got greedy and started focusing more on Card Games and it's always a death trap on Saturdays just trying to have a relaxing day looking at rare games. It's sad to say that I much prefer Game Exchange or Vintage Stock to this place now. Update: a former employee from here mentioned in passing how an employee or part-owner had treated them, and i cannot support this business any longer. You cannot be abusive to your employees and not expect that information to get out there and ruin your reputation somehow. Unfortunately, it's someone who blinded the good owners of this place and is robbing their business of goodwill from people who love retro.

Positive experience: Please be mindful of the singles' price tag after you check TCG price first. Because I noticed that price of several singles are at least 10 bucks over the TCG price. Even I compared one of singles' price and their TCG, it was 60-100 bucks difference.

The selection is phenomenal, truly covering the entire spectrum of gaming. Whether you're hunting for a rare, classic cartridge or the latest release for a current-gen console, they have it. The shelves are packed with a vibrant mix of old and new games, systems, and accessories. And for collectors, their substantial inventory of TCG games (Trading Card Games) is seriously impressive and well-organized. Beyond the incredible stock, the entire store is exceptionally well-maintained. It's clean, organized, and welcoming—a far cry from the dusty, cramped retro stores you sometimes find. But what truly sets Video Games Plus apart is the staff. I had the pleasure of speaking with an exceptionally knowledgeable gentleman—who I can only assume was the owner or manager—in the retro section. He took genuine time out of his day to talk through some of the vintage games and systems I was interested in. His deep knowledge, passion, and willingness to share insights without rushing me made the experience truly personal and valuable. It's rare to find that level of dedication and expertise! If you're in the Oklahoma City area and have even a passing interest in video games, new or old, you owe it to yourself to visit Video Games Plus. It's more than a store; it's a gaming community hub!

Negative experience: I’ve gone in to browse it has not been the best experience. All the gameboy, and GBA games for pokemon are marked up $40-$80 higher than market prices (pricecharting and sold eBay listings). I’ve been told “we just dropped the price” when asking about an emerald copy. Apparently they were selling it for $320, meanwhile I went on whatnot and got a clean working copy for $200. They increase the margins significantly for any retro rare games. Better off getting game online. IPS screen labeled Modded gameboys (legally cannot sell modded consoles) at $180 when you can buy a screen for $35 online to swap on a used $60 gameboy color. A friend spent $200 for a soulsilver copy that consistently sells for $150 or less online. Greedy business from my perspective while comparing actual market prices.

Positive experience: Had two really good experiences here. This time I came in the older balding gentleman was super arrogant and I will not be returning due to that’s There was an other older gentleman who had reddish hair who was friendly and well informed and would like to see him more often. Get rid of the bad seeds.

Fantastic experience: Excellent Stock of Retro Video Games, Consoles, Accessories, Cards and More. Kickass Retro Setups ready to be played, and you can bet they have Sonic The Hedgehog 2 here. I'm loving the sealed South Park N64 and would be a really Great Gift this Season if you know somebody who wants to fry a Juiced up Turkey! Lots and lots of Pokemon, Retro carts for days as well as the newer gens. Really loving the selection here and the conditions on the items inside the displays awesome work, and the loose games section is also very extensive and very affordable. Thanks Chris!

Fantastic experience: I truly don't have words to explain how wonderful this place is. I am from Tulsa and we (me + husband) came down here for a convention, but VG+ was our first stop. As soon as you walk in you're greeted with some of the nicest people I've ever met. The owner is so kind and so knowledgeable, we definitely could have stayed longer just to interact with him! He gave us a great lecture on Parappa the Rapper and how the manual is also a poster, so now I know what to look for! Between myself and my hubs we walked out with a ridiculous amount of stuff, boy am I glad we took a hatchback! They also sell the Mana Moon deck boxes which I've been DYING to get for ages. They had the red 2b Nier one I wanted, which I of course got. We plan to visit OKC again soon to visit and this will definitely be our first stop! Also shout-out to them knowing my favorite local store in Tulsa, Thrillhouse! Love that place and it's basically home to me ❤️

Fantastic experience: My PS5 was in bad shape. I brought it in to their store. They diagnose the problem kept in contact with me throughout the process very professional. they fixed it in less than two hours got my PS5 home and it works perfect. These guys really know what they’re doing. I recommend this store to anybody who’s having PS5 issues or any gaming issues. I will be a repeat customer.

Places like ubreakifix don't know how to properly solder or solve more complicated issues with the motherboard. They fixed my sd card reader and the chip that’s on the main board itself at an extremely reasonable price! I will be recommending people to this shop 10/10!!

Fantastic experience: first time coming here and i will definitely be returning. a lot of 'video game stores' end up just being full of the exact same cheap anime merch - this is not one of those places! theyre small but their selection was really good, they had some japanese editions of games, and i have never seen the gamecube port of ocarina of time ! they do have some other nerdy stuff like beyblade and mtg cards and stuff too. plus the staff was super personable and it seems like they play tabletop games here. do recommend stopping in!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely wonderful service and selection. The people there are incredibly helpful and understanding. Bought a DS there and it wasn't working when we got it home, we returned it and they offered to repair it and get it back to us. The tech was not there when we returned it but called us later that night to touch base and keep us updated on it. One of the best second hand game shops my wife and I have ever been to and will be returning to give our business to over and over. Can't recommend them enough.

Positive experience: One of the best spots in the city for vintage video games and cards! They have some DnD accessories too if you are looking for that. Prices are to be expected and environment is good. They clean scratched discs for $2 as well. Bishop (employee on duty) was very helpful and knowledgeable. Informed me that they have Commander night every Tuesday at 7pm, and he was easy to talk to. The only reason Video Games Plus doesn’t get a 5 star for me is I wish they had some music on in the background to make the shopping experience a little less awkward (for me personally). Also, in the past I’ve come here and it smelled like a dispensary inside. Other than that, this place rules!

Negative experience: None of the collectibles here are for sale. Whole place reeks of cat urine. That's probably because the staff uses the store as personal storage for their collectibles all over the store none of which are for sale. We see stuff we like and are willing to buy and are told "OH anything cool on a shelf isn't for sale" do your thing i guess, but I think thats a weird way to run a business.

Fantastic experience: I've been in OKC for a few months on business, and this is my go-to games store. They have tons of video games, board games, and tcgs. Staff has been friendly, helpful, and sociable every single time. I'll miss coming here when I go back home.

Negative experience: Didn't even get a courtesy "can I help you" but others who came in after got their courtesies and help. And we've spent hundreds here before. The place was stocked OK, but for their prices its cheaper to go to the one in Bethany or go online. Broke out the Wii for my boys and figured since they are liking it, I should stock up to the max; controllers, guitars, guns, etc. But we were treated poorly that we preferred to walk out. 4 employees were there and not one acknowledged us. When we came in someone said "welcome in" and I replied. I even stood at the counter with my "I'm looking for something but need help" look and cough. O well. Business will never be done here again.

Negative experience: If you're a collector, there's really no reason to come here. They're more expensive than Amazon, and significantly more expensive than ebay. They are selling Used Retro Games at Sealed CIB prices. I'm not a reseller , so I didn't bother checking more than what I was interested for "deals".

Several other used or vintage places are charging the same price as you can get it for new and in some cases MORE even though you can literally buy the same game and Walmart for less. This place is NOT doing that. Making it affordable to keep my twin boys happy because I can actually afford to buy them EACH a game. Thanks so much! Great variety too!
