Negative experience: I had a brand new unopened game I was hoping to trade in because it was a gift for my kiddo and it was the wrong one I got by mistake- again this was UNOPENED AND BRAND NEW- and since they had the one I wanted in stock I was still gonna be spending a little more than I originally spent. The GameStop at memorial informed me that even tho it was brand new and unopened they can only trade in games bought at GameStop.. THEN even tho I wanted and asked for the PlayStation 4 one because that’s what my son has he scanned the PlayStation 5 and didn’t confirm until purchase was processed which now puts an over 50 dollar hold on my card which is gonna take forever and deal with getting a return and refund from Amazon. It’s almost like I was trying to avoid GameStop for a reason or something… this store is crap and I can’t wait for that “we’re going out of business article.” And trust me had my children not been in view-I would have walked out before making any purchases.. this was for him not me.

Fantastic experience: I grew up with this place . This is the spot my friends would hit for all midnight releases...once they stopped hosting the midnight release party and events. The digital sales took over. Still a fun place to visit for kids and super fans.but it's very silent and slow now days... readybfor some ps6 news to spark the hype up again or gta 6

Negative experience: Unprofessional. Workers sitting on counters. A person walked in and asked a question, when he left the two workers at the counter started making fun of him. Whether it was a dumb question or not…. Don’t talk that way in front of other customers.

Negative experience: 2 years into the PS5's life span, the store has 3 bundles in stock and several base units, but they will not sell you a unit without also paying $25 for a GameStop Pro account. I took my business elsewhere and left 20 min later from Best Buy with my PS5 in hand.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely the best experience with the gal at this location. She was informative, helpful and very kind/patient with my little and preorders as well. She will be the reason we keep on going back! UPDATE: Tonights midnight Zelda release event was incredible! So many fantastic folks came out, we seriously will remember this event for years to come. The manager was again the reason my little felt so at ease, and welcomed. Nerding out with fellow fans was so missed, good on you Gamestop for bringing back our midnight celebrations! Give this manager a huge raise, she made all of the crowd happy, involved, excited and we all enjoyed one another because of the atmosphere she built, open arms for cosplay and just community in general.

Negative experience: The employee was so rude. She wouldn’t talk to us because she was too busy taking a phone call on her personal cell phone. I guess that was more important than helping a guest. Ill never suggest this location to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I wish I could leave more stars. Me and my husband came into the store not sure what to expect, but Aydann made it such an amazing experience. This was my first time at any gamestop ever and honestly I’m happy to say I’m likely to shop there more just because of the customer service. Im not a gamer. My husband is, but she explained a lot of the products to me and I found more that I’d actually buy than I thought. Thank you!

Negative experience: There's some kid working the store who isn't properly trained. This gamestop location will not uphold the trade in values from the website. I think the management may need to look into finish the training for their employees. The employee actually said "that doesn't seem legit" when I showed a trade in value that didn't reflect the same price. Be aware! I don't know if the employee was going to pocket the difference illegally, but I DO NOT TRUST this gamestop. Be warned!

Negative experience: Needed to return an unopened video game I ordered for my son. Cashier REFUSED to return the unopened game with the original email receipt and the emailed return receipt I completed online which stated to bring the game with the email to any GameStop store for a full refund. Completely Ridicules!

Positive experience: This Gamestop has improved tremendously! The staff are friendly, they greet you and help you the instant you walk into the store, the store itself is neat and clean. They are very knowledgeable about the inventory on hand. Great improvement! I will leave my old review so you can read about the improvements. (Old review 2021)The employees here have a horrible attitude, one time I walked in the store and it smelt like pot in their back room. It would be a good idea to check these guys from the top down, and tell their employees to smoke on their personal time.

Negative experience: My boyfriend and I purchased a new Switch game that we thought would be good for a road trip, we took it home and realized that same night that the game was just not for us at all. Four days later, we took the game and receipt back to the Quail Springs location where we bought it to return or exchange it. The guy working told us we were "stuck with the game" because he could not return or exchange new games and there was nothing he could do for us. We didn't think that was correct at all because even the receipt said anything could be returned up to 30 days after purchase, so we went to the location off Santa Fe and Danforth and spoke with the General Manager, Alfred, and he allowed us to exchange it with no problems at all. He didn't even ask questions. So we are really not happy with the experience we had here, the workers need to be better educated on the policies.

Fantastic experience: Have been coming here since I was a kid. Never wanted to review this one cause it's hit and miss. But today I would say they are doing really good now. It seems like management is doing good. And I'm glad they fixed the plumbing issue. Good staff that has decent knowledge. And they will bend a rule to make a customer happy.

Fantastic experience: This has to be the best gamestop I've ever gone to. The customer service is next level here. I went in there to purchase an Oculus Quest for my nephew. Not knowing much about the Oculus, I had several questions to ask. Christian not only answered all the questions I had, he also was able to provided extra information that was very handy. He also helped me in ordering one that came directly to my house since they didn't have any in stock. A+ Christian on the knowledge of the product and the service! Thanks

Negative experience: I bought a headset for $200 dollars and it wasn’t worth it so I returned it, they gave me my money but charged me again the next day and now my card account is negative and has been for months. Spoke to a few people and one lady seemed to care but eventually told me the same thing..”take this reference number and give it to your bank” or “call this number back in 5 days etc etc” I just want my money.The whole $200.24 Wished the management cared enough to solve this instead of basically telling me to solve it myself. They sure didn’t need me when they stole my $200 a few MONTHS ago ****UPDATE***** Went in today and the female manager was working with a black eye most likely from domestic abuse plus she’s mid 30s maybe 40 working in a video game store... These people do not make good life choices so don’t expect them to care about you. Lol heal up baby girl God Bless

Negative experience: So I live pretty close to this gamestop for sometime. I usually just try NOT and go to that gamestop because they never really have anything. Meaning never really have anything good! If you're looking for controllers or just need help with general assistance yeah you'll have that one person but most of the time it's either people talking or either hiding in the backroom like we don't notice. Tbh we only notice because of the most recent time I went, I waited in line no wait my friend waited in line because I stopped waiting to pass time by, by looking at stuff the store. There was one guy in front he was dealing with a customer trying to trade and buy everything! I don't mind waiting but for the amount of time waiting I and my friend waited for was ridiculous. We waiting in line for a good solid 30 mins for no reason. The best part is when the guy upfront was finished that's when. They all came from the back to help by that time it was nobody in the store. Not because they were helped but because they got tired of waiting! The killing part now is that I called the store way before I even type this review, to ask for help because I didnt want to waste my time going up to the store because I knew that would be a waste of time. I ask the employee could he help me find a product, because their store NEVER have anything. I been on hold for over 30+ mins and still waiting. I wanna have faith in this gamestop or the whole company in general but I given up, This store is only good for trying to upsell and put in half hearted effort. I can't say for all but most definitely. You'll find one good employee in that whole store and I bet you its the one by themselves. I do not recommend this store. P.S: I was never helped and still was on hold this entire time.

Negative experience: Giving one star is actually pretty generous, considering the Open sign was not on, leaving us unsure if the store was actually open for business or not. I mention this because we’ve actually been to this location 3 times, when their Google page said they’d be open, only to find they were actually closed. When we walked into the store, we were the only people there, there were 2 men behind the counter with their backs turned to us and it seemed as if one was going through a training manual with the other. We stood waiting to be acknowledged for several long minutes before deciding to take our business elsewhere. Retailer Pro-tip GameStop: Take care of the customer!

Negative experience: This place has great customer service and one of the better selections for a GameStop but it smells awful and has for the last 4 years... it flooded 4 years ago and they definitely should’ve pulled up and re-did the flooring (i am a certified water mitigation technician) they haven’t an every time I’m in there it smells of mold and mildew HEAVY and I can’t spend more than 7 minutes in there before feeling sick

Negative experience: Went to this location to attempt to return a Playstation card that when we attempted to scratch off the code, it was illegible. The employee who "assisted" me was rude. "Digital products are non-returnable" and shut the door in my face. Learn some manners or don't work with the public.

Negative experience: Trusted the employees knew what they were talking about. I lost my power cord to my xbox 360. Was told there was only one xbox 360 power cord for the original. Didnt have one said it would be easy to order one from Amazon. I asked if there was anything special I needed to know. He said there was only one. Would be easy no problems. GUESS WHAT- he was wrong. Now because I trusted your employees expertise I am out $40 Beware they have no idea what they are talking about and dont care if they told you something wrong. To paraphrase them- its not their issue.

Positive experience: A friend bought an xbox one controller a few weeks ago and decided to return/exchange it for a DualShock 4 controller from this location. We did exchange for a preowned controller since it was a little cheaper. We got it back home and placed it on a charger while we were eating. We went to use it and the thing wouldn’t power on unless plugged into a charger. We decided to again exchange the controller but at the penn square location. When we returned exchanged the controller at Penn Square Mall GameStop the employee asked where we bought it. We told him and he said “Yeah that store is terrible”. Seems inappropriate to say that about your companies other stores.

Negative experience: I called multiple times in the weeks leading up to my pre-order release, including the day of, and was told I had to pick up my game AT 9pm for the early release. I arrive at the door at 9:03pm and was told "the system was already shut down". Now I understand that the store closes at 9 but why tell me you're having a 9pm early release and that I the game would be available AT 9pm for pick up, if you were going to close anyways!?!? And if I pulled up at 9:03pm you were obviously already closed before 9pm.
