Negative experience: When someone spends 400 dollars to have cards graded.. and when picking up.. dont open the package before the customer gets there! Took away all proper packaging of my slabs... you're going to run a huge liability!! So won't be returning
Negative experience: This store is ran by racists people.I understand its in a bad neighborhood but I was racially profiled most likely because im a Hispanic male with neck tattoos. I had my work uniform on with my name tag and i was still followed around. The guy was literally pretending to put stuff away next to me. If your a brown Hispanic male with tattoos they watch everything you grab everything you touch I couldn't shop in piece.
Negative experience: Defective used controllers, had to return three times for a replacement which was only replaced with another defective controller. Each with power issues, stick drift, sticky buttons etc.. Also don't buy warranty, their "good" controllers end up lasting only a few months, forcing you to return and buy another warranty. Save your money. Go elsewhere.
Negative experience: Back to the zero rating if I could rude. Unprofessional staff condescending provides no purpose to using the physical store when I can go online and bypass the overpaid staff while they could be getting paid peanuts and that might explain their attitude

Negative experience: If I could rate this place zero stars I would, I was sold a defective item through an online purchase. I went to this location to return the console and was met with a rude cashier, the lady didn't even take the time to attempt a return or view my order number because I, "didn't have a receipt" even though GameStop policy ask for either the Order number OR the receipt. Apparently that's a hard concept to understand, the interaction was less than 1 minute and I can't tell you how ignored I felt as a customer. Do not come here to get help, they'll tell you an automated response without blinking an eye at you. Disgraceful customer service. P.S. don't buy anything from GameStop, they'll sell you defective items and then make it your problem when it's too late to notice. Trash company.
Negative experience: I purchased Black Ops 2 from here. The guy who sold it to me knew there would be an issue with it, and it did not work, and it wasn't functioning. He proceeded to sell me a defected game knowing full well that it was never going to work he had tested this Black Ops 2 on his own but to make a sale he still went ahead and sold it, so for this there's a one-star. Beware when you buy games here, they will try to sell you the insurance for a dollar extra, but it's only because they know that there's a defect in the games ahead of time.

Negative experience: Walking in to get a meta quest 3 clearly saw 3 on the shelf and the worker told me they have any that all 3 were display boxes stacked 3 deep
Negative experience: I had a bad return experience. The lady that helped me tested the controller I was gonna return supposedly work on her end but I showed her on my controller tester app “gamepad test” on my anbernic the joysticks were going to the right and the RB button didn’t work has good it would take while to let it react on my game.
Negative experience: This location has had frequent issues. Over the course of the last year, this location has been closed during open hours, ignored phones, and ignored customers in store on multiple occasions. I have repeatedly gone in to buy items and access services, while being ignored. Do not go to this location and expect to receive service- there will be times when you are ignored in store, alongside other customers. Today, I waited in store without any acknowledgment for over fifteen minutes while an employee was on the phone trouble shooting a display in store. There was already one person ahead of me, though I do not know how long they waited. If you need to go to a store based in albuquerque, you should go to either Noble or a different GameStop location.
Negative experience: What is this? Hit me 5 minutes after buying MY STEERING WHEEL. I will never come back here. If any of my funds are missing, YOU WILL SEE ME. NO JOKE.

Negative experience: Called ahead to make sure they had the product for release day. Said they did and posted a sign with the amounts. On release day at open all of a sudden they have less. Product is being backdoored or stolen by employees. "He must have miscounted". How can you not count to 6? Hopefully corporate investigates this store.
Negative experience: 6:48pm on a Wednesday, was hoping to just run into GameStop to exchange a controller so my son can game tonight & the clerk said that he had already shut everything down AT 6:48PM & the hours are clearly stated until 8pm …what a joke
Negative experience: Came in to buy the new Tomb Raider trilogy and was told it's only available to those who pre ordered it. Went to my car and just ordered it off if Amazon instead of giving a company called gamestop, who doesn't sell games, my money.

She says no so the guys just lazy to go check or he just didn’t wanna do the check out.

Negative experience: I bought a brand new PS5, headset,games and a new pro controller and I wanted to either exchange, return or trade in my brand new pro controller and they didn’t do anything, nothing at all for a controller that I bought a day before, I brought receipt box in the same conditions with all manuals and they didn’t even wanted to trade it in, shame I wanted to buy another console guess I’m going somewhere else now!
Negative experience: While this isn't a direct reflection of this specific game stop, I do want to tell you that the Insurance is a scam. When I first purchased a Nintendo switch lite last year I got the insurance as I was told that if something happened I would be able to come back in and get a replacement right then and there if they had them. This included new systems at the time of purchase. However this last year in November GameStop made the decision to no longer include new systems to replace the insured system. The options are to, one turn in the faulty unit and have them ship a refurbished unit to my house. Two get a refurbished or used system from the store. However in all of Albuquerque there were only three refurbished and only one used all of which i would have to drive 30+ minutes and only the used one was the color that I had. This policy change makes the purchasing of a new system and insuring it completely useless. I'm better off saving the money and getting my system fixed as either way I'm going to have a "refurbished" system now.

Was a madden game that I have zero interest in and they gave me some weird instructions about leaving and coming back in an hour to sell it used and they’d give me the credit for that. Sorry not going through hoops. Done with GameStop for sure after this. I haven’t bought a physical game in years. How the mighty have fallen.
Fantastic experience: Ordered a new copy of borderlands 3 from this location. When I got it, it ended up being a used copy. I personally did not care if it was used or not as long as the code was good for the add on content. The manager that was on duty when I called about this was very helpful and made sure that I was taken care of, he even explained how to put the add on content on my xbox.
Negative experience: I bought a pre owned ps5 controller for 63 dollars never buy it it was super dirty they didn’t have decency to clean it it looked like it had ear wax on it please never buy a pre owned controller game here

Fantastic experience: Where you go when you game. I needed a quick v bucks. So I bought a gamestop gift card, with my Gamestop credit card. Then went home and bought a Xbox gift card and added to my grandsons Fortnite. Good job gamestop! The clerk was more helpful, and added my monthly $5 to the purchase. Thanks for the heads-up!
Fantastic experience: Our salesman, Maurice (Mo) was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We were given 7 days to try an Xbox One system which my husband has wanted for a long time. He wasn't able to keep up with his game (very difficult since his hands are very arthritic) and on the 6th day I returned the system. I was given a full cash refund, no questions asked. Thank you so much for your kindness and understanding.

The clerk stumbled through his words, and only provided a customer care number. They have to customer care skills whatsoever. Don't go to this store bc they have cards that don't work

Negative experience: Apparently managed by anyone why looks like your typical hipster. Asked them to clean a ps4 I wanted to purchase . I waited 5 hours for them to do so while the "manager" who was supposedly tasked with the job was on lunch. Then called to check on it . They say "yeah we have it , it's done. Come on by!" I go down there immediately maybe a 8 min drive. And turns out the same warm toilet seat who cleaned it, then sold to someone else... Morons....garbage people with lanyards I tell ya.
Negative experience: Bought my son a few games for his PlayStation. One of the games was pre-owned and got home to find out it had a Xbox disc in a ps box so took it back my son ended up getting a game for his Nintendo switch when he found a game he liked we waited in line to be told the game he choose was not available so we found another game to be told it was not available we did this 8 times before they told us yes that game is available very frustrating I asked the game stop employee why do they keep games on the shelves if there not available he said that’s there new way which makes no sense at all. Games can use more organization from what games are available.

Playstation 5 yeah they have it and xbox yet they have it random trading cards accessories and figurines yeah sure they have that to. Negative experience: I had gone to this GameStop to get 2 specific games I have wanted, they then tell me they do not have them after I take the cases that were on the sales floor to the counter. The sales associate proceeded to say very rudely, "Yeah, I don't have those games here, they have them at this store." as she tossed the cases behind her on the counter. Would not recommend.
Fantastic experience: I had a great experience. Even though there was only one girl working there, she was very knowledgable and she was very efficient. Only ten people at a time were allowed in the store, but she kindly asked people to wait outside. She needs a raise if she's going to be working by herself. Thank you.
