Negative experience: I got what I need I like alot of games I do and some trinkets. I myself also recommend GameStop to the community and this one is the main one I go to and they are nice in there Just went back again bought a headset haven't used it got it new and it was a defect couldn't even do warranty without paying for it and they said I cant return due to the product being opened it was less then 15 days too. company never going back! I'll take my money else where recipe,box and and everything together.

Negative experience: Went to browse while there found a shirt that was on the clearance rack with a sign that said all funco pops and shirts $5 after picking a shirt and taking it to the counter it rang up $20 something I proceeded to tell the employee that it was wrong and the sign said otherwise he went and checked the sign then grabbed his manager for them to come out and say that shit doesn't count because it doesn't have a clearance tag I showed him the location the shirt came from with the sign next to them proving him otherwise and instead of a polite refusal or explanation on why it's not on clearance he proceeds to tell me will there are a thousand shirt on that rack not on clearance so I left without making a purchase looked to me like false advertisement as well as the manager needs to go back through customer service training before he should be allowed to continue running a business no wonder GameStop was tanking and insider trading was the only thing that saved the company temporarily

Negative experience: Today I got my money stolen by Clerk. I bought a year on my controller for my Xbox one. Only been a month ago when I bought year. I came in 02/21/25 today because of my controller was defected. Took it back to get another one. And 064528 Jason the Clerk asked me to renew the new year on the new controller. Thought whenever you buy a warranty you exchange to a new controller .. I guess not

Fantastic experience: This is our favorite store .. It's always a delight to see Cove in the store .He's always so very polite and knowledgeable. Always letting us know what sales are going on and just all around a good chat while in there. I have seen a few jerk customers go at cove for no reason and he handles the situation with grace ..when I would have been throwing hands.The joy Cove has with talking to customers there is something that is just not seen alot in retail anymore and its sad.Coves politeness and knowledge keeps us going to that store.We go in with both our kids and my son lights up when Cove starts talking about games with him ..and also my daughter! When I'm in buying gifts Cove always helps me look around ..I'm mostly blind and have issues seeing.I tell him what types of things I'm looking for and they are so very quick to find what I need ! And if that store don't they find the one that does.Coce is always helping me find the games I want or helping me pre-order the games my kids want Pawnee game stop will forever be my favorite store because of Cove

Fantastic experience: My boyfriend and I frequent this location and have been greeted by Cove, one of the staff, multiple times. Every time, we'd always have a lovely conversation while we looked around. Usually they were random or about some game that he suggested or thought we might like (and most times, he was right!) Even my parents enjoy the funny chats they've had with Cove as well. Once we were stuck trying to find a Wii and Cove referred us to a place called Mopigs. We found one there and got it to play the Wii games we bought from GameStop. We are thankful for such a nice employee to bring a pleasant atmosphere. We will continue to come to this location to see its lovely staff and purchase more games.

Negative experience: Went here to use the warranty on a broken PS4 controller just for them to exchange it for an unofficial / off-brand controller. It didn't charge half the time and when it did it didn't hold charge for more than 5 minutes. Exchanged that one for an official controller that the headphone jack doesn't work and it shuts off if not connected to the ps4 at all times. If you can, don't buy pre owned from here.

Negative experience: Bought Splatoon 3 used for 60 dollars for a Christmas present. My daughter opened it excited and ready to play, when she put it in the switch it came up with an entirely different game. I looked at the game cartridge and it's been swapped out. The store didn't check to make sure the game they got was actually what they were buying and selling. So im out 60 dollars and my daughter is heartbroken!

Negative experience: They won't allow you to write a bad review online when they sell some broken cockroache filled game, so you take it back to return it to the store. They still charge you for shipping.

I don't know but I'm older and I wasn't raised with all of this and I was only being polite because truly I can only see with my eyes not what a person feels.

Positive experience: Compared to most GameStop's in Wichita, this one seems upkept pretty well. The staff seem friendly enough, but tend to be a little overbearing with pushing their promotions and membership programs. No issues otherwise, you get a solid shopping experience if you don't allow yourself to get coaxed into a long conversation about a game you don't have any interest playing.

Fantastic experience: Gamestop has the best warranty for hardware. Being able to take a controller and swap it out if I have the warranty or even swap out headsets. I have bought on one headset. I take it back and swap out and only pay for another warranty

Negative experience: I purchased Mariokart Live Circuit a few days ago for my nine year old son as a gift. It barely works, not because it is defective but because it is a low quality product. I came back to exchange it for something else. They told me they would exchange it for a new, unopened Mariokart live but could not exhange it for anything else. Why!? That policy is STUPID. Either way they are getting the opened product back what difference does it make if exchange it for another game??? I told them that the policy makes no sense and the store rep said "I agree but that is our policy." Seriously?! So youre just going to let people by a lousy product then tell them you have a dumb policy which leaves them stuck with it and you KNOW THE POLICY MAKES NO SENSE. My son and I are disappointed when Gamestop closes down because of poor customer care and stupid policy I will not be surprised. Should have ordered from Amazon. Id have my son a new game by now.

Negative experience: Let you know customers… I am giving this review 1 stars. I went and got steam cards from there. Guess what? Not activated to do redeem these cards. I do followed the steps to contact Steam company. I did… However, the worker work at GameStop this location. She was the one answered the phone called from yesterday June 30th. If not get through to steam company, come back to store and get refund. Soooo I came back. And nope not get refund. The manager guy expect me do again until get through steam company… Really?!? Wasted of my money. Take my advice… Do not buy gift cards in that location store if not activated.

Fantastic experience: We came in 1 hour before closing, and Wesley did not hesitate to reach out and asked if we needed any help. We were looking for a particular used game at the price we saw on the GameStop website, but he was able to price match the used game from in the store, to the one we saw online (showed him the website price). Wesley went above and beyond to help us out, and all with a smile!

Positive experience: The store is okay but the employees at this location are to pushy with deals they have and sometimes its hard to look for a game because they talk to you the entire time. I've had one employee be rude to me because I didnt like the games he likes. I now try to use other locations if I can.

Negative experience: Came in today for a specific game. They advertise that they had the game both brand new and preowned. We opted for the pre-owned Version & they said they didn’t have it. This is the second time we have been in inquiring about the pre-owned version of this specific game. Why advertise that you have it in pre-owned if you do not? Shouldn’t be advertising something you do not have. That’s not how you do business, it’s also not how you keep it.

Negative experience: I get the reputation now. They put up store displays for products they don't have. Several times I have tried to bring something to the register only to be told they don't have it. Used games are sold for slightly less than new. I had a membership for a few years and have let it drop. Even their other merchandise like toys, collectibles, etc. are quite limited. Best Buy and Amazon are better choices and so is the flea market at times.

Fantastic experience: Was able to find an older game I needed to play with some friends and at a decent price. Long lines, but you can't control how long a customer takes at the register. The 2 workers were working as hard as they could with the checking out the customers, answering customer questions, and answering phones. The workers were very knowledgeable about the games and products when asked.

Fantastic experience: Animal crossing new horizons went out today and we preordered it for pick up at this store location. It was a Christmas gift that I've been waiting for, and I've waited over a year for this game to come out. I have been on edge all day waiting for my parents to come home with the game. So happy when they brought it home. :)

Negative experience: The worst game stop in the city. I went into Gamestop at 2570 S Broadway in Wichita, KS last night to grab a hard copy of Borderlands 3. While there, the cashier (Yanira)asked if I wanted to renew my membership using power up rewards points. I agreed, and went home. Next day I receive an email from power up rewards, thanking me for enrolling in their digital subscription service. I was surprised, because the cashier never asked if I wanted to stop receiving the print copy. No big deal, I go back to the store to correct the mistake and encounter the manager, Chelsea. Chelsea is bristling with attitude. I had to all if she was the manager because I thought there's no way someone in charge is treating customers this way. She never apologised for my inconvenience, and what's more, she made it seem as if the error was my fault. I told her that coming to her store had been a terrible experience because of the error combined with het treatment of me. She didn't apologise and only offered "well sir I fixed the problem". I told her that wasn't the point, and that I had to come back into the store, wasting my time, when I could have downloaded the game without the headache. When I asked if it was Gamestop policy to change member accounts settings without their consent, she told me that it was, and that ganestop is ending the print subscription service. I've always used my points to pay for my magazines, but Chelsea charged me $5 extra, to renew. Ahe said there was no option to renew the print subscription using points. Question: is it policy to change member account info without their consent, and its ganestop ending it's print subscription service to game informer? Thanks

Negative experience: Don't take this post wrong they have a lot of good deals and good games. I dont like going here because of being badgered and pressured to sign up with their rewards club deal. When I rarely go in there but to buy a game for my kids a few times a year. Stop that badgering and this place would get a 5 star from me!

Fantastic experience: Great service. The young woman behind the counter were very well informed, helped me buy an Xbox, and did not pressure me into buying a ton of extra stuff. I could find my game cheaper, at the Walmart across the street, but decided to buy it from Game Stop because of the great service. I bought a used Xbox and game. Both are in great condition and I had no problems.
