Positive experience: Sometimes friendly. Best pricing in town on most things with the exception of some accessories which can be quite over priced when compared to anywhere else. I’ve purchased a lot from this store and typically don’t have any issues, however they do not test their games and you will occasionally have a game that does not work. In the couple of years I’ve been purchasing from this location I’ve only ever had 2 games not work after getting home. The staff when bringing back those games actually made the process quite uncomfortable. Both times I was treated as if I was lying or that I wasn’t returning the product in the same condition I bought in even though it’s been brought back within 12 hours of purchasing. I also only ever ask for store credit which considering this is a game store that doesn’t test games, they should be much more open to receiving their untested product back when it doesn’t work. Selling them product had also been uncomfortable in the past, they’ve gotten quite grouchy with me just bringing in product if they are busy. Which is perfectly fine if you’re too busy to take trade ins, just deliver the message a little nicer. Due to this alone I take all of my trade ins to game on out in newton. I do want to note that all of these issue have been with a specific employee which is sometimes very nice and sometimes not nice at all. I don’t know that this is the way you will always be treated but depending on this particular employees mood you’ll either have a decent trip or a not so great one.

Negative experience: I bought a game through them. The lady was very disrespectful to me. When I came in on the 13th, got a different console from a different store. Came back 2 weeks later for them to just give me 6.50 back.It was a twenty dollar game this is ridiculous, I have been a member for over 7 years.

Negative experience: I bought a PlayStation 2 from the Harry location and when I got home and it didn't have the correct power cord for it so the lady was kind enough to go home and get one from her husband for me. everything's going good I'm playing Guitar Hero no problem. A week later I finally go to play Mystic three and it has a horrible scratch on that makes it where I can't get past an hour of the game. I exchange it no problem. Go to 007 but that game involves turning, shooting, ect, and Mystic was just a point and click game so I didn't notice that the controller wasn't working properly. I called the Harry location where I bought the PlayStation 2 let him know what was up and that I thought I had the receipt and he was going to exchange it for me but he didn't have one at that store so he called the Pawnee store they had one I couldn't find my receipt unfortunately so he said I couldn't exchange it I understand that that's my fault so I asked if I could buy the controller he said it was a part of a PlayStation 2 that they're selling and he didn't think his boss would approve of him breaking up the set because he thought I was going to exchange it with the receipt so that's why I give it a one-star because that tells me that he planned on putting my broken controller in that box to sell to the next poor sucker like me. So in conclusion they don't test their systems apparently because if they did they would have known that the PlayStation 2 I bought had the wrong cord in it, They don't bother to resurface their discs, and they knowingly sell broken equipment hence the one star what a shame. So buyer beware: if they sell you something they claim refurbished, they probably just blew into it really hard. Edit: LITERALLY 30 MINUTES AFTER POSTING THIS, I HEARD A SNAP IN THE CONTROLLER AND THE RUMBLE STOPPED WORKING WHILE I WAS JUST PLAYING A GAME. THIS PLACE SELL JUNK. YOU'RE BETTER OFF TAKING YOUR CHANCES ON FACEBOOK MARKET PLACE!!!

Fantastic experience: Best gaming store in town. Amazing staff and tons of movies, games, consoles and accessories. I love going here because the games are always in great shape and reasonably priced. Yes Vintage stock is bigger but the quality of there stuff is garbage compared to CD tradepost. I will continue to use this store for all my gaming needs.

Negative experience: This used to be a great place to shop but most of the great employees have left and the newer ones dont seem to understand the value of certain games and items. They are buying and selling games for incorrect prices which can be great sometimes when your buying but certainly not when selling. I would recommend to avoid selling anything of actual value here.

Negative experience: I brought a game up to the counter that was marked $10.99 and the tag represented the correct game. The game rang up $15.99 and they refused to honor the marked price because "someone forgot to put the updated price on it." I'm sick of these bad business practices!

Negative experience: I was visiting the Wichita area with 2 other people and wanted to check out this store’s used CD, DVD, and video game selection. While shopping, I found a used copy of Dark Souls III – the Fire Fades edition for PS4. The game had 2 price stickers on it, one had the price at $13.99 on the back and front the sticker partially covering it had the price at $18.99. I also picked up a DVD, Time Bandits, and another PS4 game, Lords of the Fallen. At the register, the cashier rang up the Dark Souls III game as $18.99 and removed the price stickers from the game, but left the price stickers on the Lords of the Fallen game and the Time Bandits DVD after purchasing but I did not notice this until I was home the next day. I reached out via email to CD Tradepost to notify them of this issue and request a refund of the $6 I was overcharged, as I could not return to the store as I live in another state. The CEO of CD Tradepost responded to my email; he stated that $18.99 is the correct price for the Dark Souls III game as the price had increased from $13.99 in December 2022. He would not refund the $6 but he offered store credit, which is not useful to me as I do not live in the area. I replied to his email, explaining that store credit is not acceptable to me, but he never replied back. I would not recommend shopping at CD Tradepost as they use bait and switch techniques to overcharge customers, and when they are called out on it they ignore you. $6 might be not be much, I understand though the way some people look at it. Honesty goes long way in business. get charged for more, you get a store credit even if you get overcharged. So, be real weary of store credit/exchange stores. Tip: use a credit card only, if overcharged, do a charge back. Take pictures of the item you going to purchase, odd doing so, though it might help prove what the price was. Don't sign for anything at all, until you see the price of each item and total on receipt and if not right, refuse the purchase of the item. Hope that helps!

Negative experience: Horrible customer service. The old lady lied to us about getting my video game disk cleaned for free and charged us 10 dollars for it. Never coming back. Very disorganized. The place also smelled horrendous.

Positive experience: Got a set of "Guardians of the Galaxy 1 and 2" on blue ray. Very good condition at a good price.

Negative experience: I have been going here for a little while now because of how easy it is to find rare games and they give slightly more than GameStop on trade-ins. I recently took a game to be resurfaced just to find out that the disk is now cracked in the center. Between the damaged disk and low trade in values, unfortunately I’m probably not going to be returning.

Fantastic experience: These people are amazing! I've been here on several occasions and have ran into just about everyone at least once. Always friendly! Helpful. They give advice on your systems if you need it. Buy and sell for any system you can think of. I even found a hard to find in this country CD for a band I love. Quality of products is outstanding. Wonderful selection of movies and a few little gift ideas as well. Bought my boyfriend a t-shirt here that he loves! If you haven't, yet, check them out.

Negative experience: I really hate doing this went into store brought in a customer that has never been to trade in games and stuff. As soon as we walked in the manager said, what do you want, I said I brought someone new in that's never been here... She then said, "who are you?" I said I'm Farris, she then rolled her eyes and said "what ever, and what do you want" looking at the person I brought in. He confronted her about being rude and she said she was taking to her boss about numbers and she was upset. We told her that is still not a reason to be rude to us. I love going there but this is just crazy to treat ppl like this....

Positive experience: The Pawnee st. store is hard to find if you don't already know where it is.

Fantastic experience: The prices are good, but the nostalgia is invaluable. In a digital-download world, this is the place to step back into 2002 and get your DVDs, CD, and PS2 games (and more). As a personal note, Chase was extremely helpful with taking in a ridiculous pile of DVDs. It was a great atmosphere, and he even helped me find the best anime Blu-ray to give me street cred with my kid. Signed up for the $5 lifetime membership and plan to be back soon to expand my retro games collection.

Fantastic experience: When I went there it was actually really amazing!,I actually brought my very first band CD,I actually can't believe they had Linkin Park's first studio album, 'Hybrid theory' I actually never would have thought they would have that there and I now have my own hands on there album. The staff was extremely nice to.one of them actually liked what I liked(anime&music). This is one of my favorite stores that has CD's,games,ect. I will totally be coming back someday.

Positive experience: I did not know these were still a thing. Cool selection, not bad pricing, staff was terrible. Not at all helpful, blatantly ignores questions, and acts mad when it is time to check out. If not for the staff I would rate 5 stars

Negative experience: I called the store to get a price for a video game I want to sell. The lady tells me they cant do pricing over the phone. If that's a store policy, that's fine, but there is no place on the website to check prices so I'm not driving out for one game. They are going to lose business with this tactic.

Negative experience: was told they would hold a console for me, and I came the next day to buy it but they sold it from underneath me. I skipped my lunch break to come get it. very upset and will likely never shop here again
