Negative experience: Couldn't tell you his name, but we were getting ready to buy some things, asked a question, and then got a smart aleck answer from the person working the desk. He was really rude, so we just put everything back. Will not be back.

Negative experience: The employees are so rude. Especially the gentlemen with glasses. They were talking about declining card trade ins. Maybe its because they are paying 40-50% and robbing people. Even sealed if you go to fathers sons sports in powell they will pay you 75%. They also have full on scalper prices here for packs. Use to be a regular here sad to see the decline. Marcus who works here is really cool tho.

Fantastic experience: THE #1 card store in Columbus. UGA games is hands down the best store in Columbus for all things TCG (and old school video games). The staff are incredibly friendly, their selection of MTG singles is easily the best in the city, their prices are fair and they are hands down the best place to fulfil your pull list for that new deck you’re brewing. UGA is consistently #1 and I can’t recommend them enough.

Cheap prices for mtg sealed as well. My only negative experience thus far is I bought a few booster boxes of the new avatar set for $175 each. However, I looked at the price today and it was lowered to $140 one day after pickup was available. Just seems like a shady business practice.

I was blown away at the sheer volume of sorted cards UGA carries. The staff is excellent and was able to find me all but one of the niche cards I was after! Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: I've been here about half a dozen times so far and for magic cards in particular this is my favorite shop in Columbus. Reasonable pricing (most often right at or a little above MSRP for sealed), a clean and organized display case, and lots of stock for packs and singles. I saw this comment by someone else, but will mention it myself - LOVE that their inventory is accurately reflected online and their ordering process as well as the pickup is always a great experience.

Fantastic experience: ***TOTAL TRANSPARENCY *** (FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE) I recently (two or so months ago) got into magic the gathering thanks to a buddy of mine. I am green to it, still, but he told me about this store. It is less than 10 minutes from OSU and minutes from 270/ 315. (I assume everyone knows those two major highways/interstates/ roads if you are looking at this store) Preamble, over..... The owner of the store is at my speed! He knows exactly what cards he has in stock, where they are, and has an UNBELIEVABLE system for organization of all products sold there!!! They dont just sell magic cards, just so you know! They have second hand game systems, other trading cards, controllers, mini figures, etc. They, along with other stores, have an online ordering system where you buy the cards/ consoles/ whatever products you want online, and they will pull them for you!!! No need to worry about someone else sniping a card away from you! There is a cantankerous guy in there, though! Butttttt, he is quick, will help you, just know what you are asking for beforehand, because he means business! (Not a bad guy just to be clear, just be ready for him is all!)

Fantastic experience: Ive gone here a few times now and it's a great little shop, its just up the street from my work so I stop in before I go to work sometimes and the staff is always very friendly and knowledgeable about the products they carry. So far they've had every card I've been looking to add to my decks so they seem quite reliable. At first glance it looks like their collection of single cards is kinda small but the boxes behind the counter are FULL of singles, just ask the staff for what you want and they'll help find it for you!

Fantastic experience: This was my first time shopping here. I saw their sign while driving by and decided to check it out. Great store and great selection. They have a large stock of hard to find trading cards and current TCG releases. I was pleasantly surprised to find a huge selection of rare singles. Great for getting back into the hobby. The staff was knowledgeable when it came to the products and went out of their way to help me find what I was looking for. Their prices are fair and match secondary market listings on card singles. I left with a stack of rare cards and a new protective binder. I was very happy with what I got and will be back.

Negative experience: I am really getting tired of being treated like trash every time I come in here, despite dropping over $100 every visit. There are dozens of reviews reflecting my same concern and the owner's lack of resolve to solve this issue has lost my business along with plenty of other prominent people within the local magic community.

Fantastic experience: My surge protector got struck by lightning and fried my Xbox Series X. Microsoft charges $300 for ANY out of warranty fix to your Xbox regardless of what it is. UGA told me they would only charge me $15 to diagnose and if they couldn’t fix it that was it. Two weeks later, they told me they fixed my completely fried internal battery for $125 plus tax walking out the door. So clutch. Recommend getting any device fixed here.

Negative experience: I never leave reviews. But it's either a different owner or his employees are shady. They are really going downhill with the employees. The last 3 visits have been terrible. I would say just 1 employee but they all have a voice, and nobody says anything. I used to deal with the owner a lot. But he's not around as he used to be. He was Great! I started going in 2020. Long time costumer. Lost. I went in to trade or sell a Japanese 20th anniversary Mewtwo ex, mint condition! The employee had brought up the English version and offered based off its price. I nicely said. I think you have the wrong one, because the price was way off. He proceeded to ask me to leave. I said okay. Grabbed my card and left. Super Odd situation. But just as simple as I just mentioned. The 2nd time I went. I had some cards I wanted to trade and sell. All Mint or NM. No marks or scratches. Some were ones I purchased from them that were labeled Mint a few years prior, the Cards never left the cases! The employee looks through them. Gives me a price and it sounds way off. Reminder I'm used to dealing with the owner and I know his percentages etc. So I know what to expect with prices. The employee was way off. So I asked how he got the number. He proceeded to state UGA games pays out the percentage MP prices. (Which was never the case). I told him all my cards are Mint! He agreed but said that's how they pay. Offered me the same deal. I kindly declined and left. The final time, figuring the employee would be different. It actually was a employee being trained but the old employee from last time was there and took over. I knew it wasn't going to be good after that. I'll never be going there again, I went in to Trade or Sell a grade 9 rainbow Pikachu. Valued. Around $140. And a Japanese Rayquaza valued at $45. During which. They have a additional 10% promo with Pokemon right now. They took 20min to find the values of the cards. A Simple TCG. Price chart. eBay. Etc. Even had prices pulled up on my phone. They came back with a offer at 54%. The value. They clearly have no idea what they are doing. Or trying to rip people off. I kindly said I'll pass. And I left. I've never been rude or caused a problem ever. But definitely don't recommend going their for Pokemon.

Fantastic experience: I pulled in here after stopping at the electronic box store down the street. I'm very impressed with the number of games they had available for a number of systems. I picked up 4 titles from Ps3 and the Nintendo Wii. All played fine when I got back home to Pittsburgh. I'll be sure to stop back next time I venture to Columbus.

Positive experience: Great game store and they have a LOT magic cards. The staff really know their stuff, too. Update: I spend a lot lot of time on ebay and other used game stores in Columbus, looking at games and consoles. I feel like UGA is a little pricey as far as their vintage game collection goes. Looking over their PC Engine games I found them to be $10 to $20 higher than similar items at other local game stores. Going through their gameboy, gameboy color, and gameboy advance I found similar numbers. They do have an excellent invintory system which is very helpful but if price is a concern, I would suggest shopping around first.

Positive experience: This is a cool family-owned game store with good vibes and fair prices. With fair prices come lackluster inventory at times, but they still are well stocked in comparing them to some other game stores. Definitely worth stopping in, and I really like the fact they keep their website up to date so I can browse before coming in. It’s a great touch!

Positive experience: Been visiting this store for about 3 years now for Pokemon and typically they always have a really great selection of singles. They mark singles for condition and say they sell at market price, but not necessarily for that condition. For instance, they could have a card marked MP but still be selling at the NM price. They will not tell you this, and they do not allow any haggling, so be careful. I get reasonably priced cards fairly often though, so it may depend on who is working there that day. However, they price gouge sealed product significantly, often 1.5 to 2x msrp on new or recent Pokemon releases, and the owner is not willing to come down on prices. Personally, I would never buy recent sealed product from here, but this can be a great place to pick up cool and rare singles

Fantastic experience: They will 99% have whatever weird bulk single you need that every other store like The Warp Gate doesn't. They've saved me and my brother countless nights right before we go play standard. They also sell a lot of video games and do disc cleanings etc. Super nice staff, they are always nice to us when we stop by.

Negative experience: I always appreciated this store's massive collection of Magic singles, but I also always felt like I was being treated as a chore or annoyance when I went in there. I didn't mind, because the prices were decent and they had so many cards. However, I recently learned from some friends that they were treated extremely disrespectfully by management simply because of who they are and how they present themselves. I won't be returning to this store, and I would encourage members of marginalized communities, and those that support them, to avoid it as well. Nobody should be disrespected because of who they are, and it makes less than zero sense to disrespect someone who's trying to give you money in the store that you own/work at. Looking forward to an unhinged reply from the owner, or for him to make fun of me, or pretend I'm stupid, like he does in response to his other negative reviews.

Fantastic experience: Was just in the store and bought the Nightmare Before Christmas Oogies Revenge for my little brother and on top of that I asked how much it would cost to get thermal paste replaced in my Xbox series X and I told the price and was honestly shocked and happy bout the price definitely a game store worth going to and I am definitely going to keeping shopping here when I can

Negative experience: Took a brand new Pokemon areceus for switch and got offered 20$ for TRADE in value.. expecting to buy everything cheaper than half off is crazy to me especially for a trade in value. Don’t recommend this place at all

Positive experience: I like this store quite a bit. My favorite thing is that they’re the only store of their kind that has this inventory on their website; if I’m looking for a specific game, I can simply check their website, which I LOVE. (I wish more game stores did this!) I hesitate to leave less than a five star review, though… I see some other reviews are often left with the response “when you’re a hammer, everything looks like a nail” comments from the store, so I’m concerned my criticism may fall on deaf ears. However, as someone with a long customer service history, I did feel my interaction yesterday was subpar, and worth mentioning. I’ll probably get roasted for this, but oh well! Anyway, I had my wallet out on the counter, simply waiting to make my payment. I don’t remove my credit card until the payment is ready to be made. Anyway, the person checking me out is still kind of having a conversation with someone else he had been working with (totally fine - he broke away from the other individual to help me get checked out) but he catches me totally off guard by bluntly asking, “Is there a reason you have your ID out?” (My ID was visible through a clear panel inside my wallet) So, I’ll probably get teased or whatever for sharing that the way he said it bothered me, but all I can say is if the roles were reversed I would not have asked that question, definitely not in such a blunt manner. Having said all that, it won’t prevent me from still stopping in here to browse whenever I’m picking up a pizza from next door! I just will make sure to not set my wallet on the counter while I’m waiting to check out! P.S. - I finally found a copy of Kirby Planet Robobot! EDIT - I received a very nice response. Negative experience: Stopped into the store today to see pricing. Not only are their store prices for items well above market prices. They are also scalping the new Pokémon stuff at MASSIVE mark ups. Avoid this store and go to better local stores. I understand making a profit every business needs to. But when you are marking up Pokémon stuff over 100% markup you are just being scummy. Edit: Response to owner. Calling out scummy behavior of someone scalping product and the owner throws insults like a child instead of taking the criticism and moving forward. This is not how you operate a business. Also almost every single item you have that’s “new” is at or above msrp couldnt find an item on your website below msrp that is not a discontinued product which shifts into market pricing when no longer in production. Pre owned and used product do not count towards msrp as you buy them in at a fraction of the cost making up your difference by selling them in your stores instance above market prices per price charting and eBay average sold listings. Do better. Also even if you sell products below msrp that’s called a loss leader you sell those products at that cost to drive customers into your store to buy the items you do make profits on. I reiterate to anyone reading my review. There are MANY other used game and card shops in the Columbus area with fair pricing that also do not scalp or will match current market values or be willing to make their price closer to market value on used or pre owned products.

Fantastic experience: I went in for games on older consoles so I cant advise regarding cards, but good selection of older games and equipment. Also offered well priced consoles - nes, 3do, ps1, etc. Games - I didnt see atari but maybe I just missed it. A few master system. Plenty genesis (mostly in case), nes/snes, saturn, gameboy dreamcast, 64, and on. I didnt see game gear games but they had a console at a decent price. I recommend this place - cool shop and lots of variety in offerings.

Fantastic experience: Ace customer service and terrific selection. Another friendly local gaming store that I've been going to for years! The pricing is fair and the every last one of the employees is courteous and helpful. As many other commentera have rightly noted, these guys go above and beyond to take care of their customers and are great to deal with. All of the prices are reasonable and are all market prices from what I've seen. Anyone who is looking for a great place to spend money on trading cards, games, etc, this place is well worth it.

Fantastic experience: Fair TCG prices for the current market. Still selling under market prices while likely having allocations cut tremendously. Friendly staff. I had a few inventory issues that were handled professionally a few months ago when I made a large order.

Negative experience: Staff is of course friendly, but they give into scalpers pricing for big sets for cards, ain't nothing wrong with going 10-15 bucks over MSRP but absolutely despicable to charge double msrp when other local shops aren't. There are good local shops out there but this one is just a scalpers who got a big enough loan to open a store front

I’m new to collecting pokemon cards and the wave of relief i felt seeing another woman at the counter was immense. she was really kind and very knowledgeable about the cards and even helped me dig through the singles to find what i wanted! They didn’t try to upsell me anything which i loved, the whole shop feels very homey Ill definitely be coming back :)

So I left and went to UGA games and found the same card with the proper price. Levi was extremely helpful and professional while keeping it fun to look for pokemon cards. I left happy and satisfied.

Fantastic experience: I decided to DIY fix my gfs switch and lo and behold, I made it worse. I brought it in and within a few days it was fixed for a great price. The folks here saved me hundreds of bucks from having to buy a new console. Will absolutely be back!

We asked to use restroom because my husband has a medical condition and according to ally’s law they are required to permit access once we show he’s card. The male employee was rude and didn’t care about his condition even though it’s against the law to refuse and we made it clear. I will not shop at a place that doesn’t respect their customers or the law.

Fantastic experience: Went in with my partner to look for a game they needed. They didn't have exactly what we were looking for, but the "old man" that helped us (yes, he said I could call him that) was super friendly and helpful, even offering to look in the back for us. After asking us if there was anything else we were looking for, I took a shot in the dark and asked about a DS game I've been looking for for a while. It wasn't on the shelves, but he offered to let us look through a container of loose games they hadn't priced yet. And what do you know, they just so happened to have it!! I even picked up a couple of cheaper games from in there too. So yeah, in conclusion it's a nice little store and the staff was super kind to us. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for second hand video games!

Fantastic experience: A great selection of games, and a helpful, friendly staff. Lots of pleasant surprises can be found in their game collection. Plus, I've had nothing but great experiences with their repairs. When I had my Wii looked at, they got done even sooner than they predicted. I highly recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: I've done most of my singles shopping with uga since I found them, prices are always fair, staff is incredibly friendly, and the selection is vast. Rarely I have a hard time finding something im looking for and usually if I come back in a day or two there are stacks of new cards to look through. I recommend them to everyone i play with.

Negative experience: Never going here again. Saw the employees openly mock a child, once told me they were "only in it for the money", and despite a decent selection, everything is priced higher than average. There are much better game stores in town I'd rather give my business to.

Fantastic experience: I think I can say with confidence that if you're looking for MTG singles, UGA is the best store in all of Columbus for that in terms of stock and organization.
