Negative experience: This place is great when they're open. Keyword: WHEN. This store has botched two release dates for big titles by not being open during advertised hours (a long running theme through the rest of these reviews). Both times I saw employee(s) in the store not responding to knocks at the door or calling the store phone. Not all of us have the luxury of waiting around until the employee(s) deem fit, especially when using break time during a weekday. Absolute garbage. I'll be doing my preorders from now on at the janky Target down the road. I hope they close this location and turn it into something useful.
Negative experience: My aunt took us to Game Stop three weeks ago so we could get a controller. We bought a controller with drift problems from Jeff. He says he tested the controller, but given the problems we are having, it is clear that he did not.
Negative experience: Tried to avoid warranty , accepted it only when I insisted they read the details of the warranty, and they had no choice but to accept it. We spent too much time for an exchange that was supposed to be simple and straightforward.
Negative experience: I brought my nephews to Game Stop to pick up a controller. Jeff sold my nephews a controller with drift issues. He claims he tested the controller but obviously not since we are experiencing these issues.
Negative experience: Went in looking for football cards. The employee said hold on and went in the back to check and came out and said he was busy with a customer. The card shop next door was better but I guess we’ll wait for this loc to fail too
Fantastic experience: Know I'm a member of the fgc and have my own child I make regular purchases for her gift items here and my nephew is no stranger to gifts from game stop.
Negative experience: Bad customer service. Have products marked online that they actually don’t have

Negative experience: Went in to make some trade ins. The associate was very rude. Asked me to come back later cause he had lots of trade ins to process, when I explained I couldn’t come back later, he proceeded to sigh the entire time he checked me out. He then proceeded to do the same thing to the guy behind me who was also trading in. I used to work at GameStop. I understand being swamped with work and the low pay. But don’t be like that, it just makes it awkward for everyone.

Negative experience: On New years eve the Sign said open till 5pm but door was locked at 3pm. When knocked on door the one employee inside said they were closed. When I told him the sign said closed at 5pm he changed his answer to that he was on break. When asked how long his break was he said he didn’t need to answer me because he was on his break. Then refused to answer any other question on open the door. They wonder why Game Stops are failing
Negative experience: At 3:20, the door was locked. We knocked for a minute before the guy behind the desk yelled to us that the store was closed because he was “on his break.” We asked how long it would be and he said “I’m not telling you that.” What??
Negative experience: Bought a game yesterday. Bought the warranty. It would not install. Went to return it and they would not exchange or refund my money. Because I did not have an account with them. Even though they sold me a warranty without telling me I needed to have an account for the warranty to have any effect. Can't buy them digitally because they'll take them away and now it's getting harder to find hard copies. Don't buy used games from GameStop.

Negative experience: The employees are always really friendly and helpful. But the past several times I've tried to visit, the store was closed. 1:00pm on a Saturday and they were closed... I thought the location might have shutdown completely, but I drove by a few weeks later around the same time and they were open. What gives?
Fantastic experience: The new management is really good and incredibly helpful! Went out of their way and helped me secure a game that was out of stock everywhere (Metroid Prime Remastered) by special ordering it in.
Negative experience: I placed an order online for pick on Friday morning and it’s now been 48 hours and still haven’t received an email to pick it up. I’ve tried calling this place all day today with no resolution. Drove by there during posted business hours, and like the other reviews have stated they were closed. Wth is going on at this location ?! Either someone needs to be fired or this location needs to be closed down, including management. Provided a picture showing it’s now Monday and this sign has been up since Friday. So y’all have literally been closed since Friday ?!

Negative experience: Pre ordered the Deluxe Harry Potter legacy on ps5 and series x for me and my wife, went to pick up our games today on release day and they are closed!!!! The whole point of the deluxe is you get to play the game 3 days early and was informed they will not open until 11am tomorrow. Just shut this store down already! The absolute worst gamestop ever!!!! Waited on hold for an hour with gamestop support and they said there was nothing they could do as this was an instore issue....
Negative experience: Hate to leave such a bad review, but I have never encountered a business like this that doesn't have a schedule. You NEVER know when they'll be open. My husband stopped by at 12pm to pick up a pre-ordered game and they're closed. A man is waiting outside for them to open. A lady drives by and asks, "Are they open today?" Who knows! They're supposed to be open at 11am. This isn't the first time we've stopped by and there's a sign that says something like "Be back in 30 minutes" but it didn't say what time the sign was put on the door. Just going to avoid this location from now on. Save yourself the headache.

Negative experience: If I could give this store zero stars I would. I happened to be in the area after a doctors appointment so I figured I'd go to the local gamestop. The store sits in a pretty big plaza that features a publix and a pikes nursery. When I walked in I was confused because there was merchandise scattered on the floor and empty shelves. I was just waiting for someone to say, "sorry we're closed" because it really did look that bad. After walking almost halfway into the store I noticed there was 1 gentleman browsing and in the back by the funko pops there was a husband, wife and a little kid just looking at pops but still hadn't seen an employee. I started looking around for their selection of figpins but was having difficulties finding them because there were more boxes and merchandise scattered about in the back of the store. Finally after about 5 minutes an employee came from the back and walked past me holding a Playstation that he brought up for the family that was waiting. He never acknowledged me while I was in the store. While in the store I didn't find anything that I need so I left...without the employee saying anything to me. Disappointing.
Positive experience: the store itself is fine but I had a really bad experience with the manager today (May 26 2022) while the sales associate was pleasant and helpful to me, the manager on duty was incredibly negative and rude. reprimanding the guy who was helping me constantly which made me really uncomfortable. I went on to ask the man a question regarding what the manager was so fervent about and just as he started to answer me, this manager snapped with a hostile tone and made it all worse. the kind and nice employee was named Othello, I appreciated him. but the white male manager whose name I did not get, was just awful. I’d hate to stop in again while he’s there stinking up the place with his nasty, mean attitude. he was working this evening around 4/5/6pm or so. get him out pls
Negative experience: Store is randomly closed all of the time. Past two times I’ve gone by they were closed during their normal hours. Why would I preorder a game when I’m not even guaranteed the store will be open? Close at 1pm on a Friday.
Negative experience: Still waiting to open to get a console from them to be available today. Says it should be open by 10am yet its 1245pm and still closed. Workers should be sanctioned with this or they should just close this branch altogether.

Negative experience: LAZY WORKERS…. which is BAD for business. I went online at gamestop.com to check if this store had a game that I wanted and the website showed that it had a good amount of it in stock at this location. I called up the location just to verify before I make the drive all the way out there and the guy that picked up the phone said that they were all OUT of it… hmm… so I go back online at GameStop.com to double check and it showed that this location had plenty in stock. I took the risk of driving out there and what do I find out? That they DO have it IN STOCK. Absolutely terrible. The guy lied on the phone.. HR needs to do a better job at hiring and firing accordingly at this location.
Negative experience: I was kept on hold for 15 minutes listening to the associates talk. I was calling to see if there was a game system in stock at this location. The website said it was in stock but then said out of stock, the call was for confirmation, issue is still unresolved.
Negative experience: The store hours listed here do not reflect actual store hours. Drove an hour here to pick up an item only available here, just for them to not be open for another hour.
Negative experience: I don't like leaving negative reviews but this placed earned it. Traded a Xbox and had all kinds of customer service issues. They did not have cash so they could only give store credit for trades. This was my mistake in thinking that they would be professional enough to have cash in their registers. Would not accept my trade without an HDMI cable, didn't think that would be necessary but important to know if you want to try to trade with them. Made me login to my account in plain view of everyone to check out the Xbox. Apparently, they can't figure out how to create a GameStop store account to do this, instead they ask every customer to login. Doesn't seem efficient. After reluctantly logging in, he took the controller, checked it out and refused to give the controller back so that I could log out of my account. He said that I would just need to trust that he did it. Nothing about our interaction was trustworthy so naturally I was uncomfortable. From start to finish took about 35 minutes, not a quick process. This was not a great experience and I would suggest you go elsewhere.
Negative experience: I’m very upset with one of the employees, who might be a reseller. I preordered Brilliant Diamond and Shinning Pearl double pack.when I went to pick up He never gave us the pin. Then we called and told him. He said it was only Limited. First come first serve. But then I asked someone from another GameStop. They told me I was supposed to get with my preorder. Smh
Negative experience: I just went to return something I had purchased less than a month earlier and didn't need. I stood in line for 15 minutes only to find out the guy working the register couldn't do returns. Why can't the only person running the store do a simple return with a receipt? After calling the manager, I was told to come back tomorrow. Thanks but no thanks. I'm not going to waste more of my personal time patronizing a store that doesn't have someone at the store available to do a basic job they should be able to do.

Negative experience: Horrible! Store location on 2955 North Druid Hills Rd NE Atlanta GA are HORRIBLE!!! The store closed at 8pm ... I drive 30 min to pick up a Gabe pre-ordered. I arrived 15 min before closing and the doors were locked! I knocked on the door and the associates just looked at me and ignored me and kept on with their business! Unacceptable!!! Negative experience: They don't answer the phone, they don't pay anything for games, they won't even throw them away for you. If you want old sports games just look at the piled trashcan in front of the store every day. GameStop's website also doesn't have availability information. A loud annoying advertisement plays at the entrance every time someone walks in. Waiting for online shipping is worth saving the headache.
Positive experience: Decent inventory. There's a 30 second overstimulation period as a security message plays over intercom when you walk in, the staff welcomes you, game demos run, and a talk show plays over the tvs.

Negative experience: I reserved a game, drove 20 min just to find out the game was not at store, the employee claimed he send out confirmation by mistake. When I asked if he could check the availability at other store nearby, he just looked online and said it was there. The same situation I was at the exact moment. He wasn't happy when I asked to call the other store, confirm the game was there and reserve it for me. Disappointing customer service.

Positive experience: If this is the gamestop I think it is (toco hills) then it's awesome. Went in looking for a specific item, and got it way cheaper than expected. So cheap in fact, I thought the cashier had made a mistake. I wasn't saying anything though because I'm all about that money. Turns out the item was just on sale which made the whole experience a lot less exciting(hence the loss of a star). All other gamestop locations smell like old Italian food... And regret.

Positive experience: From the outside, it may look to be a bit on the smaller side. Once you are inside, however, you will notice it's pretty on par with the average gamestop. They tend to stock a nice, varying selection of games, consoles, collectibles, and et cetera. Also, staff is rather helpful and friendly.
