Negative experience: I walked into the store to buy a single $9 item. I stood in line for 40 minutes while a slow and distracted worker attempted to run the store by himself. I've never seen so many frustrated customers in such a small space, but this gamestop earned it through sheer incompetence. A good reminder of why I shouldn't give this company money.
Negative experience: Terrible customer service. Ashton was very unhelpful he refused to give me a refund on a game that was not working and I bought the game less than 24 hours ago.

Negative experience: I sooooo confused. I get to the store the sign says yall close at 9pm and on Google it says 9pm. I arrive to the store at 8:35pm and the store was closed. Do your establishment close earlier than 9pm or at 9pm. I was trying to pick up something I purchased. Completely confused.
Negative experience: Something has to been done about this location. Every employee is completely unprofessional. Hire a reliable staff who would spend all day smoking outside, or being useless in store 1/11/25 - Whoever was working this day is who you need to either “coach up” or “coach out”

Negative experience: If you order anything from this store, just make sure you have it shipped to your home address and NOT the store. Apparently, the owner doesn't have a key to the mailbox. My order was shipped and delivered to the store and when I tried to pick it up no one had a key. Then when I tried to cancel it with Customer Service it was like trying to pull teeth. For some reason they just couldn't comprehend that the item was at the stores mailbox, but no one could access the mailbox.
Negative experience: Went in for preowned games and they were running a promo buy 2 get 1. The game I tried to purchase was labeled at $37.99 and rang up at 64.99 they didn’t try to help or price match the label IN THEIR STORE. They just said too bad and there was nothing they could do about it. This was also on top of just standing there waiting to be checked out. Absolute waste of my time.
Negative experience: Absolutely HORRIBLE people here. I drove over 70 miles after asking a Manager at the Dawsonville location to call ahead to hold a Meta Quest 2 for my Son’s 6th Birthday. I also called ahead to verify that I was on the way when I was roughly 35 to 40 minutes out. The store associate decided to sell the item right before I walked in. This is ridiculous. Literally, the absolute worst retail experience I’ve ever had in my entire life. Cannot believe these people wasted a ton of my time and showed ZERO apologies for doing so. AVOID THIS PLACE BY ALL COST!

Negative experience: This location is the worst, they never answer the phone and always have very nasty attitudes. Worst GameStop ever, this place will be closed down very soon.
Negative experience: First and last time ordering anything from this location. Unhelpful and rude about it. Bought a game online for in store pick up. They never gave me a receipt. While trying to return they insisted that the online order receipt and email was not sufficient enough and I needed a physical receipt. Upon clarifying that I never received a physical receipt, they insisted they wouldn’t have not given me one. Love the insistent that I’m not telling the truth and that there couldn’t possibly have been a mistake made in not giving me a paper receipt.
Negative experience: If I could give a neg 5 stars I would. I ordered $650 in merchandise online for pick up. I actually called the store before going there to confirm my order was present n available Store employee R. Hall assured all was there in hand. I drive 40 mins to this location, walk in the R Hall acting mgr smh he was complaining and being loud with a customer in the store already. So I inform them on I’m picking up my order they both look like dodo birds. Saying we meant to call you back cause we don’t have the items. I’m look like what happen they disappeared. So what about my refund not meant the inconvenience of the long trip. R.Hall just goes into a mental tantrum yelling and saying “we busy and I can’t help you with nothing and ask me to leave because I request a print out of the cancelled order. GameStop is really hiring mental imbalance people to hold their business. Few days before Xmas GameStop has a money hostage for 5 business days and no merchandise. The worst experience in my life.
Negative experience: Buy one and get one free sign posted on tshirt rack. Cashier stated that the sign was old and did not honor the sign. They should take the sign down. Did not get one free.

Fantastic experience: Staff is super helpful patient and understanding. My only concern is more with the layout of the store. For anyone that is handicap/disabled or especially in a wheelchair is not the most accessible layout. So that’s more of a corporate/store manager issue that I have if they could possibly create more of a open space layout that be great. just food for thought. I would love to see more stores be accommodating towards their disabled patrons.
Negative experience: Literally paid for the new game on Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Come to find out its the preowned version. I was charged full brand new price for the pre owned Nintendo Switch game. I hope I can return on Black Friday of all day. They try to ram membership down your throat so hard that they're not paying attention to actual customer needs. DONT GET MEMEBERSHIP IN STORE BUY ONLINE OR OVER PHONE. NOT WORTH GIVING COMMISSION TO POOR IN STORE SALES PEOPLE.
Negative experience: I literally JUST got off the phone with the RUDEST manager I have ever experienced in a customer service setting. I am livid. I WILL NEVER COME TO THIS GAMESTOP AGAIN I simply called to see if I could return a card purchased game (that doesn’t work) without a receipt. He consistently cut me off. He kept rushing me to talk. I barely got through two sentences before he cut me off. He said, “I don’t have time listen to what you have to say. What do you want?” He said, “Do you wanna know how my last 24 hours have been? I don’t have time for any context you want to provide” And he was just freakin rude the ENTIRE conversation. His employee that I spoke to first just passed me off as if he didn’t care to help me at all. He also very quick to say what he “couldn’t do,” which is a huge sign of lack of customer service. That manager almost made me step out of character. He came very close. The most RUDE, ignorant, pompous, foolish, arrogant manager I have ever had to experience. He needs to be fired ASAP, because GameStop will never experience my business AGAIN.

Negative experience: Only gave it two stars, because one employee was excellent. She helped me buy a PS5. She was super patient and helpful. The receipt says her name was “Kira”. 5 stars to her! The past two times I’ve gone the men working in there had terrible customer service. I wasn’t the only customer irritated. Quacey was on the receipt who rung me up with terrible customer service. His co worker was playing video games with another customer at the counter. I could have spent my $700 dollars else where.
Negative experience: *BEWARE* 4 customers walked in at the same time. The first 2 were together and immediately started browsing. I immediately walked to the counter to Inquire about a console I wanted to purchase and who I assume was the manager (white male, bald, beard, and a headset) looked at me like I had 2 heads and said “Dude we close in 2 min”. I will not be returning to this located because of the poor customer service. Judging by the other reviews with their customer service issues and actually opening and closing the store at their posted times I think I made the right decision :-)

Negative experience: NEVER PREORDER ANYTHING HERE! I'd leave zero stars if I could but 1 /5 is mandatory. I made the first in-store preorder for an item and was never called to pick it up upon release. I checked in about 5 days after release (physically had to go to the store because no one answers the phone here) and was told they aren't in yet. I wait a week to hear if it has come in. I call (and actually get through, after 4 attempts!) and am told it hasn't come in and am basically told things got "hectic" and "new staff may have sold my pre-order." But "if you come to the store, we will order you one and you can pay shipping to have it sent to your house." I come by and wouldn't ya know, there's none to buy online! I watch another employee "send an email to corporate" to get one sent to the store for me and I will be called about it. Your Don't hear anything for another week and a half. Get through on the phone after 4 attempts to see what's going on. I'm told "call back in 10 min, I'll find you one". Then I'm told it's at another store (1hr round trip, mind you) BUT first I have to come by their store to be refunded. While I'm there getting my refund receipt, I specifically ask "I'm going to this store for the item I pre-ordered, correct? Not something else?" And he assured me it was in fact the item I preordered. Well guess what... Of course it wasn't!!! So all in all, I spent almost a month waiting, over 4hrs driving of around Atlanta trying to get what I paid for, and wasting a bunch of gas for no good reason besides absolute incompetence on behalf of GameStop and it's employees at this location. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GIVE YOUR MONEY TO ANOTHER COMPANY. SCALPERS ARE BETTER SELLERS THAN EMPLOYEES AT THIS STORE.
Fantastic experience: When I started playing Nintendo about a yr ago, I had a lot of questions about being connected to the internet so to have game updates, all about game ratings and what chats or online playing was and how to read the game info to see the info. The staff where so helpful and took time to explain all I wanted to know. I did go during a slow time of day so I’m sure that factored in.

Negative experience: Store is rarely opened during scheduled hours. Today they are supposed to open @ 11am and it is still closed with no signage. Also when hogwarts legacy released and I had a reserved copy I went to the store to pick it up after work at 5pm and they closed down the store @ 4pm. Even when I reserve a copy of a game at this location they won't get them in, and the employees tell me I can go to another location and pick up my copy if they have extras. What's the point of reserving my copy at my local gamestop?

Negative experience: Twice now this location has caused me to drive out of my way based on false information given. Once because they didn’t have a drawer and were short over $1,000?!? The second because after returning to sell them a game back, they now said it wasn’t eligible after telling me just 24 hrs before it was. GameStop won’t survive much longer as their products can almost entirely be purchased online. I look forward to the day this place is shuttered, I might even pour out a shot as they remove the sign and their employees walk papers in-hand. Good riddance.

First off this store never has what my daily is looking for.. then the cashier this evening just pretty much spent about 20 minutes or more with one customer when he had a line of people waiting and NEVER once said “sorry for the wait”, “I’ll be right with you”, or “ you know let me take care of these people and I’ll be right back with you” like anything would have sufficed!

Negative experience: Came to this store to buy a Nintendo switch after Best Buy was sold out. I’ve worked in retail, and the first rule is don’t get stuck behind the counter. I was never greeted nor acknowledged as a customer. The only person who seemed to be an employee was talking to two other guys about a game, but not in any context of selling/buying. I left and went to Target where I bought the switch, a game, and a controller. Sorry my dudes. Can’t support the business if you’re not willing to work for it.
