Negative experience: Same thing happened to me regarding unwanted warranties as mentioned in previous reviews. Good news! This location will be closing January 15th 2026.
Negative experience: I really think my complaint only applies to this particular location and their management, howeverthe issue needs to be addressed. I purchased a pre-owned PS5 with a $44-1 year warranty and decided to return it and just purchase a new PS5. There was a polite and diligent gentleman (month old employee) working by himself at the time as he was doing a great job with managing the flow of customers. I even let over 6 people with easier transactions jump me in line just so he could work effectively. Upon processing my return, he called a superior, manager, or another employee to verify the process for exchanging a pre-owned console with a warranty and for a new one. The person advising him told him that the WARRANTY CAN'T BE REFUNDED! I immediately knew that that couldn't be correct information. So I bottled up my frustration and went to a different GameStop after processing the return and purchasing the new console without getting my credit for the warranty. The other location told me warranties are refundable, but his manager said I would have to go back to the location I bought the console from. With all that being said, after this is rectified, I'll never shop at GameStop again.
Negative experience: Given that all the Game Stops in the area show relatively the same average review, I'm wondering if they are buying reviews to up the average. The service at this location was abysmal. I won't shop at Game Stop again. I'll find what I'm looking for elsewhere.
Negative experience: No one opened the store. A poor employee is waiting outside since 12 pm for the manager to appear.
Negative experience: I bought a new game here and was charged for a warranty that was not mentioned by the employee. When I tried to cancel it, they said it’s not possible and that it was mandatory on all new games. I checked this “policy” with other GameStop location employees and they all confirmed warranties are NOT mandatory. I ended up returning the game and even then they denied the warranty refund saying it’s not possible when their own website’s warranty policy literally states refundable within 30 days! Extremely predatory and aggressive sales tactics and just overall scummy behavior. Will not be shopping at GameStop in the future with this sort of behavior/reputation.
Fantastic experience: Had a great experience shopping here! Kel and the young girl on his staff were very professional and extremely helpful. They answered all of my daughter's questions and we picked up the latest Pokémon game as a result. Will definitely shop here again!
Negative experience: The young male employee told me something was in stock, then made me wait for his entire break (he sat in his car) because he “had to take a break” at that very moment and couldn’t ring me up until his break was over. I was like ok….I waited in the parking lot for 30 minutes, while he played games on his phone; then when he opened the store back up he realized they actually didn’t have what I needed in stock. Wasted an hour of my life for no reason, and the employee was VERY rude about it too. All the bad reviews are real, stay away from this place and go somewhere else

Negative experience: It’s no irony that this chick has a bad review on here already… Tried to call about checking for an item just 10 minutes ago & said twice that I’d give the SKU number & this chick hung up on me. Irony is I called another GameStop that said this store has the item.. They need to fire her quick! Very rude.
Negative experience: I have ATTEMPTED to do business with this specific location for about 6 days now with each time being more disappointing than the next. I called to check and see about trade in offers and to verify that the location here was open but was met with "We had a discrepancy in store and need to close" and "Our system is down". I've seen many locations close because of extremely poor management and this is one that needs to go down the same route. Extremely unprofessional staff who lie to potential customers.
Negative experience: This is is not a slander on the employees. If the entire store needs to close down for someone to take a break, that means that there needs to be more staff on that shift.
Negative experience: Visited this location, on August 18, 2025. There was only one associate in the store at the time. The young lady with glasses, was very disrespectful to me after I asked her if she could check in the back for a product. The young lady flat out told me “No”. Shortly after, she told me to get the “f-word out of her store as she proceeded to call her manager”. This is absolutely no way to treat a paying customer. I am very disappointed and disrespected by the service I received. I will never shop at this store again. I will be filing a formal complaint as well because I felt entirely threatened by the way she yelled at me.

Negative experience: The GameStop was amazing last year until they let go of the former manager met name was nemesis but when they replaced the manager and the other guys the store became horrible they take more than 3 breaks and I’ve seen dads and their children’s smiles disappear when they figure out that the workers closed the shop for their 3rd break that day last week they just closed the store without a sign telling us why I think that they are just very lazy I don’t know how the there any positive reviews the staff are arrogant and annoyed trying to sell me random stuff
Fantastic experience: Hadn't been to a GameStop in a few years, but came here and was surprised to see how much things have improved for the company since I was a kid/teen. Absolutely love that GameStop has managed to stay around all these years.

Negative experience: Came to this location to shop yesterday only to see the employee on duty locking the store to go somewhere. He put a sign on the door that says back at 7:15pm it was 6:05pm! Closed for over an hour. Checked back at 7:20 and yep still gone! Wow

Negative experience: Walked in 2pm February 15th and the entire store smelled strongly of Marijuana which as many people know smells like skunk. I felt like I was going to throw up and couldn't stand in there for more than a minute. Please address this.
Fantastic experience: Had an issue with product from another store. Kirby was awesome in helping troubleshoot, and thanks to his help the issues were resolved! Also, store was super tidy and comfortable to browse in, so kudos to the team for that. I'll say that parking directly in front of the store is a little limited but there's an underground deck w plenty of space.
Negative experience: Called them a dozen times trying to see if they actually had the new pokemon stock in. Online says they have 2. Was working 10 hours today and on my break spent driving 45 mins there and back for them to not have it. Could have avoided this if they answered the phone. Store was not busy and had 2 associates. Other GameStop’s at least answered so not sure why they couldn’t.
Negative experience: On 12/22/2024 I placed a Buy Online Pickup In-Store order for a PS5. On 12/24/2024 I was notified it was ready for pickup. I was traveling out of town when I got the notification at 2:22 PM on 12/24 so I called the store at 5:30 PM to cancel the order. When I checked online the status of the order said it was already picked up. That's impossible because I had never gone to the store to get it and it had only been a few hours since being notified and I was many miles away. I was told to call Gamestop Customer support to cancel the order but the customer support line told me to call the store. I called the store and they told me they filed a ticket and that the district office and corporate would look into it. I don't know why they couldn't just cancel my order and refund me because I never got it. I continued to get emails saying please go to Gamestop and pick up the order on 12/25 and 12/27 even though the Gamestop website said I had already picked up the order (I have never picked up the order). I went to the store today 12/28 to sort this out and had to wait for the employee to call customer support and escalated the issue to someone on customer support who said Gamestop had to internally investigate what happened and that they would have an update in about 1-3 business days. I never got my order, why can't I just get refunded? I had never been to the store until today. Will never buy anything from GameStop ever again.

Negative experience: The only reason I give this store two stars is because it said that it closes at 8 pm, but at the place, it said 5:30 pm, so why don't they put an update on the time it closes, the store is great and all but I just want the store to change the hours so that people don't think that it is open, but in reality it is close
Fantastic experience: Khaleed was super helpful! Went in to exchange a PS3 that came defective in the mail and he tested the one they had in store to make sure it was working properly and took the defective one off my hands. He was quick, effective, and knowledgeable. Big thanks!

Negative experience: There is a creep here. Was here last Monday. Went into the store for a couple minutes and didn’t buy anything. Only looked at figures then left. Then after I left I’m getting texts from somebody saying they’re a cop and saw me steal figures. Told me to come back to the store. They admitted they pulled up my info from my license plate of my car in the texts. Very weird and creepy. Somebody is being a creep over there.

Negative experience: Second time visiting this location in 1 month and this sign keeps being placed. 2 Employee working between 6 and close. Leaves the store, then return. This second time, he closed the gates and stayed inside the store but of course you can not come in and shop. This is an inconvenience on people’s lives. When arriving the employee was outside and found it funny that this was the second time this happen upon going back inside with his belongings stating. We still have to wait. I will be calling corporate.
Negative experience: Employee refused my return even though the item was new/sealed and I had my receipt. Claims it was a new policy but I called 4 other stores and no other store knew about the policy and Northpoint Mall location happily took my return... The employee working on 1/2/24 @ 645PM (only one in the store) needs to be retrained and needs to learn to greet customers better. As soon as he saw I had a return... you could see his demeanor completely change.
Fantastic experience: Love how clean the store is whenever I visit! And the employee helping me buy my switch was so sweet. It's my favorite GameStop to pick up my controllers and consoles 10/10!

Negative experience: This location is a joke. I’ve been here twice this week during business hours and the store has been closed. The first time, the lights were out and there was a sign outside saying they’d be back in an hour. Today, the door is locked, but no sign. We waited for a bit and a guy stepped out of the backroom, saw us, and went back in. I am a pro member and bring my kids every month, but I will not return.

Negative experience: Deandre and Tom in there wasting people’s time. Spent a while browsing the selection of games. By the time we wanted to make a purchase, Tom did not have the drawer key and attempted to ask Deandre for it several times. Was locked in back area and wouldn’t come out. We ended up leaving before Tom was able to get key due to poor customer service. PS. Not sure if they gentleman was named Tom but he looked like a Tom. No one had a name tag on but for sure the other guy’s name was Deandre because Tom tried calling him several times.

Negative experience: Tried calling 3 times this morning to confirm availability of a console. Each time I got the message “all associates are busy helping customers. Please call again in a few minutes.” I show up to the store and there is 1 customer not being helped. A female employee was sitting down behind the register on her cell phone, looked me in the eye and went back to doing whatever she was doing on her cell phone. The store phone was ringing while this was going on and nobody answered it. Btw they didn’t have the console in stock; could have save me some trouble if the employees were working and not playing on their phones or hiding in the back room.
Negative experience: Drove here on a Saturday at 6pm. Sign said open but the door was locked. Called and the clerk said they were “temporarily closed”. I said I have a store pick up item. He said to come back later as if I don’t stay an hour away. Horrible and an inconvenience. I already paid for my stuff. Just bring it out.

Positive experience: Went on 10/16 to exchange a headset because it broke and I PAID insurance on it. Store associate's demeanor was not welcoming. He was talkative but not in a good way. Associate rambled and questioned how the headset broke and told my son to try and not do it again. I know gamestop employees are different but he made my experience uncomfortable and I couldn't wait to leave! Another store in Riverdale would never talk to us this way. SMH.

Negative experience: Heads up this location told me PS5s were available and restocked aug. 20th for pro members. I went to a different store which opened earlier because i am heading on a two day road-trip starting now. The employee there told me they went on sale for pro members the 19th. So it seems i was misled by a misled employee? I stayed in town to leave later except because i was misled now i delayed the trip for no reason without a ps5.
Fantastic experience: I walked in here with a big box of video game disks and then immediately informed me that they would only be able to take a handful of them, so I replied with ok that's fine. I thought I might get a couple dollars but quite the contrary. I got 26 bucks and the clerk was super informative and knew his way around. Not to mention there was a not so bright customer asking if they had a certain game to which he responded with, no I'm sorry we don't. He had showed me earlier and I wasn't looking to buy a game but all the same, he knows what he's doing. It was also almost 9 PM which is when they close and he wasn't edging to get us out, he was engaging and ecstatic when I conversed with him. Great place and amazing customer service

Fantastic experience: Hey! My name is dylan, i’m 13 and i have been looking for this Wrecker funko pop for a few months. I could not find it ANYWHERE. I would go in targets, walmarts, gamestops, barnes and nobles, literally every store that carries pops out there. And every time i’d walk out with my head hanging low, empty handed. Until i went to this gamestop. This gamestop is actually not the one that had it, but it was the one in the mall about 4 miles away from it. Anyways, when i walked in it was another disappointment, they didn’t have him. So i asked a guy named Tray (i think that’s how you spell it, sorry if i’m wrong) if they had it in the back. We had a conversation about pops, pre orders, star wars and games for literally like 20 minutes. He was so nice and so fun to talk to! Anyways he gave me some locations of the gamestops near here that had them in stock and i went to the one in the mall and after months of looking, i finally found him. By going to this gamestop i found what i was looking for in the end, and made a new friend too. Thank you tray!

Any business owner should use her as a model for how a store should be run. She not only is an amazing employee, but is an equally amazing human being...something the world needs more of!
