Negative experience: Management seems to lack initiative and effective leadership. My cards finally returned from PSA, yet they have been sitting at the front for a week. Despite my repeated inquiries, the staff claims they are unable to prepare them for pickup due to being understaffed. If there are pending PSA orders, the manager should step up and ensure they are handled promptly. Being understaffed at GameStop is not a valid excuse, especially when the prices of Pokémon cards reflect a troubling trend of scalping. Overall, GameStop's service has significantly declined.

Fantastic experience: Fist off the employee Hailey, absolutely amazing and professional. She worked very diligent with me and was very friendly. I was able to trade in a console that was not working with backwards compatibility, and the ones she sold to me with a two year warranty, I’m very grateful for once I got at home. It works flawlessly for me being able to play my older Xbox games. I couldn’t ask for a better experience and now I get to play all my retro Xbox games so I cannot thank her or sing her praises more!

Negative experience: Store said my preorder was ready for pick up. I had put money down prior and they did not say I had to pick it up within 48 hours. Came after the 48 hour mark and come to find out they sold the copy that I put my money down. Now the game is sold out and I have to wait because my copy was sold to someone who didn’t preorder.

Negative experience: The cashier "Trinity" is absolutely clueless. I came in to do a "trade in" towards a console and a couple of games. Gamestop's website valued my trade in above $200 and the cashier Trinity told me my trade in is $80. The trade in is in excellent condition. Do better Gamestop! I dont appreciate the profiling I received from Trinity. Trinity needs to learn how to treat Gamestop's customers right. I am a Pro member and did not appreciate her profiling me. As soon as I got into the location she asked me if I was in a hurry. Horrible customer service. Trinity needs to go through "training" for customer service.

Fantastic experience: I heard GameStop partnered with PSA and I could send my cards there to grade. For insurance purposes, I was supposed to be the one who put the cards in the penny sleeve and card saver. Then they took pictures and sealed the cards in a clear bag, the whole process took less than 15 min. The cashier was informative when she explained the whole process, I’d probably come to grade cards here next time. EDIT: I was able to pick up my cards from GameStop. They came in after 45 business days, so the weekends didn’t count towards it. I got the Email before I got the phone call.

Fantastic experience: How is a great place? There's always someone to greet you when you come in the door. There's a really good customer service aspect, and I'm glad that the company kept doing this, but no other companies really do this anymore. Starbucks used to do this, but then they stopped. The staff is really nice and it helps out a lot if you need it.

Fantastic experience: What's not to love? There's arcade games, board games, VR, and free Wi-Fi. Oh, and they have snacks and drinks. The staff are friendly & know their stuff. If this place was around in my 20's, I'd probably live here. Go check them out!

Negative experience: Closing 3 hours early? Seriously? How completely and incredibly unprofessional. If you run a business, you should be professional enough to abide by the posted hours. I should not have to call a place to see if the are going to be open till the designated time. At least the bruceville store stays open till their posted hours. Never coming here again and will be letting friends and family know and do the same. Thanks for wasting my time and gas.

Negative experience: The two guys in this store are very unprofessional and rude. They really needed to be retrain on costumer service and have a better understanding on their store return policy. They were not willing to do a return on a used item less than 15 days and the return policy said unused item can be return within 15 days. Will not come back here again.

Negative experience: Disrespectful and rude, that’s how I would describe the two employees working tonight. Most businesses barely survived 2020 and those that did are lucky. But, with employees like Cody I wouldn’t expect this location to last much longer. I will take my business elsewhere. I had a long list of items to purchase, their loss.

Fantastic experience: Yoooo Tarandeep is the man! Long story short, pre-order got messed up by the Gamestop website (what else is new). And Tarandeep was able to help me get my refund on a canceled order (canceled by the gamestop website). He called his supervisor and the customer service hotline to fix the problem and ultimately made sure I was getting the best service. Coolest part is, he fixed a problem that someone else caused. I was in and out pretty quick! I will come back to this gamestop for sure!

Fantastic experience: The workers here are wonderful. My son had major surgery for the 3rd time and has been indoors for most of 2020 . i had a couple items that stopped working .due to the pandemic i have not been able to trade them in yesterday they took care of us in a timely fashion and made sure we were completely satisfied ..thank you so much we will return .

Negative experience: Everytime I go to this store... employees are always arguing with each other who is right or wrong in front of customers. They never answer their phone calls and i would witness them just plain ignore it or hang it up. I would call another game stop a mile away and they would pick up. This place is just have horrible basic customer service and lack leadership and common sense to help customers.

Positive experience: Location: In Target shopping plaza next to Petco. Customer Service: Never had any direct issues with the staff at all. They're always friendly and willing to help you. NOTE: This place can get rather busy. Especially when a new game comes out or a new console comes out. There were times I was waiting 15-20 minutes in line to be seen. Not the representatives fault. It was just a lot of customers with merchandise and questions. So you need to be patient as there is generally only 2 staffed at the counter. Selection: Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4 and Nintendo games. As well as multiple different consoles & accessories you can purchase. Events: Check the the employees. Now and again they run an event to celebrate a game or console coming out and invite people to come in and join in on the fun.

Positive experience: Salespeople here are always so nice and helpful. It's a smallish store, but they still manage to always have what I'm looking for. As long as Steven is the manager, this will be our go to gamestop in the Elk Grove area.
