Fantastic experience: They checked my PS2, it was toast, and offered me a refurbished one at a decent price. What more could one ask for? I hope they are back soon!

Positive experience: Shop is cool but idk. Dude tried telling me the retron wasn't emulation just because it used cartridges. Also no one seems to pick up their phone

Positive experience: Bought a PS2 here and was happy to find one after looking everywhere. Also, I was able to find 2 games I couldn't find here. Friendly customer service. They forgot to put games in case, but when I came back the following day, they helped me out without hesitation.

Negative experience: No prices on the games, which makes it difficult to compare to market rates. Huge red flag, as they likely just price items based on the market rate but at a much higher marked up price, regardless of how much they acquired the games at. Do not suggest buying if you're a serious collector unless they have a game that you absolutely "need." The games that were priced looked on the high side. Parking is super limited, too. No indication if you can park in the library lot. Only like 5 spots otherwise.

Fantastic experience: Recently picked up a PlayStation 2 from here and it was worth it. They cleaned the console and the controller, and I was surprised that it didn't have any scratches on it. This is my go-to place now, if there is someone looking to get an old console or a new one, I highly recommend going here, staff is nice, the place is clean, and it has a positive vibe. They also have action figures, old and new games, and accessories for all the consoles.

Fantastic experience: Awesome little small buisness. Came in on a whim while waiting for my friend for lunch, my kid ended up finding some pokemon cards, an overwatch figure, a PS4 game, and a graphic novel for under $25. I also grabbed a pocket pop for myself. Employee was nice and helpful and answered any questions we had. Definitely want to come again to keep an eye out for PS Vita games for myself.

Negative experience: So I went there with my cousin on his birthday to get some stuff and I had something to sell before I went to then I googled the price of the doll it was $40-$50 so I brought it to them and they said it was $3 that doesn’t make any since I never even seen any dolls like mine lower then $30 but I did it anyway I asked them about how much I could sell my N64 after that and they said $160 with a game that I had so I went back to sell it they only gave me $50 I’m not sure if these people do this on purpose because there scammer makes or what but don’t go to them to sell stuff they will change price’s

Negative experience: Well we're to star I wen in and no price on actions figures I pick some thing I like and ask for a price and he true a number out but ask for a nother price and saw him on computer checking on eBay for price this store is a joke and they rip u off for trade in is not that store to go 2 they are really scammers and a joke better go to eBay and check price to make sure u getting a good deal. They go and pick up items on good will and resale a full price bad store and will never go back .....

Negative experience: The owner of this store is a toxic, lying weasel. He's abusive to "employees" in front of customers. I say "employees" because he never actually hires anyone, he just pays them under the table FAR below minimum wage. When they obviously leave for better opportunities, he lies about them to new "employees." He uses physical violence as a means of intimidating "employees" so he should be in jail, not business.

Fantastic experience: Such a cute store!! Took my PS4 to get fixed on Friday, by Monday it was available to be picked up and since it wasn’t much damage, it only cost $20 (: so happy with how it turned out!!

Negative experience: ordered a part from their website and it was just one thing after another with these guys, cumulating in no part and no refund over a month later. I placed the order for a part-- the page said FREE SHIPPING but was charged $5 for shipping anyway, but was happy to let it go since they seemed like a small operation. Then about a week after I received my order confirmation email with no sign of a shipping email, I called the store and was told I'd get a call back later that day. That never happened so two days later I called again and after a lengthy hold time was told I had to use the Contact form on the website, which I did, and got no response. I paid through paypal and heard I could file a dispute with sellers who didn't provide a tracking number, so I did, thinking that would force a reply out of them. It's been weeks and I still haven't heard anything. No part, no tracking number. The part was cheap, roughly $15 after shipping so it's not even worth chasing down a refund over-- just pure incompetence. Cannot in good conscience recommend.

Fantastic experience: Took my beloved Halo Xbox one controller to get it fixed. After a couple of weeks they called me to let me know if was ready. It looks clean and almost brand new. It took them longer than expected but I guess they have lots of work repairing stuff since they're the only ones in the area

Fantastic experience: Very fair and fast took my ps4 to them for them to fix due to overheating. When I got my system back home well my sons system it was still doing the same thing but after I took it back to them them with their expertise figured out the issue and fixed it free of charge no hassles from them trying to get a free buck or two due to the same issue but they were very fair and understanding I highly recommend them

Fantastic experience: I had an Xbox which no longer worked. I brought it in and they fixed it for what I felt was a reasonable price. It took several weeks to get it done since they were so busy. I found the people there fair and friendly and am very happy to have the game console back in good working order.

Negative experience: The worst place ever! The wife opens WISH.COM orders... she takes what she want's! Then tells customers it never arrived!! There absolutely terrible people

Positive experience: the store's signage is so small its not noticeable from the street. Made it difficult to find on a busy street.

Fantastic experience: Legacy is a small business, totally unique to the Sacramento area! They are not a cookie cutter chain store. The owner is extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and always gives top tier service! Their selection of games and merchandise is stellar! Go check them out and see for yourself, you won’t regret it!

Negative experience: On Friday 10/30, I told the owner I’m here to bring my items in to be evaluated. On Thursday 11/5(6 days later), the owner told me that everything would be $2093 in store credit or $1349 cash. I asked him about what some of the items I had were worth, so he brought out a handwritten paper of what his staff evaluated for each item (SEE ATTACHMENT, THIS WILL BE IMPORTANT LATER). I asked the owner if I can take a picture of the breakdown and come back within 24 hours to give my final decision. He said sure and that they won’t sell anything unless it’s all finalized. That night, as I was looking through the list, the value they wrote down as $2093 seem to be too low if you add everything up. If you look at the Attached Photo of the blu ray page, you’ll notice that my 100 4k movies were $5 each ($500), my 22 blu rays were $2 bucks ($44), and my comic books in total is $1k. So, this page alone is already $1805 and there were 4 pages total. So, after I added everything up manually, it should have been $3075 store credit and NOT $2093. I also did the math and it appears that if you want it in cash form, it will be roughly 64.45% of the store credit. On Friday 11/6, I explained to the owner there was almost a $1k difference when adding up the numbers. He said that this is the value he has in the system. So, I then asked the owner if it was okay if we run these numbers through a calculator to make sure I didn’t miss anything. The owner then rambled on about how his staff took 4 days looking through all my boxes and if I want, I can just take everything back. I then told him that I’m sorry if I said something wrong, but I needed to look at this breakdown to determine if there is something I wanted to keep. So, the owner went to back with a male staff. Also, a female staff just showed up and was being filled in. After the female staff came out, I asked her if we can just run though the sheets together. After 5 minutes, we came to the same number and we were finally in agreement that it should total $3075. As she was explaining to the owner about the amount, the owner said that we can’t use this list because it’s just a rough draft since you can’t input collectible game items that doesn’t have the game in the system and what’s in the system is what counts because each item is connected to a listing on his computer. So, I asked the owner can he just print me out a list so I can review it then? He said that’s not possible because of the way the system is designed. I then asked if I just trade in my comics, movies, and board games (removing the video games), will these numbers still be honored? His response was that I should just take everything back. Ever since I brought up the $1k discrepancy, the owner kept suggesting for me to just take everything back if I don’t like his offer. I’m just trying to get the correct amount for each item but the owner doesn’t seem to want this to happen and even with the breakdown list, he wants to forget the list. HERE IS THE INTERESTING PART: Later, he said that my items are entered as a ‘BULK’ item in the system, that’s why you can’t see the breakdown in the system. This is where the owner CONTRADICTS everything. He INITIALLY said that each item was entered into the system to a corresponding item list, NOW he says that it’s entered as a ‘BULK’ item. This means that whoever added the numbers initially on paper, also entered that same amount to the ‘BULK’ item on the machine. So of course, it will have a TRICKLING EFFECT to what you see on the system! In the end, I couldn’t accept the offer. Even though the owner WASN’T the one who evaluated the items, he wanted to stick with the lower amount on the system for whatever reason. The owner couldn’t even tell me where he would deduct the 1k from in the itemized list and if you look through the list, where can you even lower that much with what I was willing to trade in. So, I’m just supposed to take his word for it and lose out on $1k SOMEWHERE from this list? If he doesn’t trust the list his own staff created, why can’t he actually redo it?

Fantastic experience: Owner is an excellent resource for the avid gamer as well as the newbie novice. They will go the extra mile to help you find what you are looking for if they don't have it in their store. The store usually has exactly what we are looking for, and there is always something new and exciting to surprise us as well. Legacy is the perfect example of a small shop that keeps up with "the big boys" like Game Stop or Wal Mart, but will always be heads above most competitors because of their "mom and pop" personal and ethical standards in dealing with the customers.

Fantastic experience: Anytime I'm in the area, I like stopping by. I usually do not leave empty handed. Everything is well-priced and the people that work there are very friendly and super helpful.

Negative experience: Unfriendly service. I'd look around and the guy up front would just stare at me. Granted I was the only one in the store, but the man was clearly just watching me as i walked around the store. He'd asked if I needed help which was nice, but I didn't so I declined, but then he kept asking just about every other minute. It was frustrating having to reassure the guy that I didn't need help. I was just hoping someone else would come in so I could look around in peace, but sadly it didn't happen. After about the 5th time in counting of saying I didn't need help I just said that I was done then left. I don't know the guys name but he was a hefty but not fat white guy.

Fantastic experience: We recently had my son's PlayStation repaired at Legacy Toys. Prices are more than fair, and work was done quickly. They also have a great selection of collectible games, and if they don't have what you're looking for, they will order it for you. The wait is well worth it when you get such friendly service. I'd much rather put money in their hands than at Target or Amazon. Super grateful to have this small business around.
