Fantastic experience: Christmas was a disaster. Got the kiddo a Meta Quest 3S from Gamestop online. It bricked during setup, thanks Meta. Kathryn at Firewheel was extremely helpful! She legit saved the kiddos Christmas. She returned the Quest for us, and had a replacement instantly shipped. Best customer service I've had in a long time anywhere. Going to wait until Meta gets their act together before setting up the new one, but glad this Christmas headache is done.

Negative experience: If I could give GameStop a negative I would. 2023 I had purchased a VR online and set it up for pick up. Went to the store and they said someone under my name had already picked it up. What’s crazy is my name wasn’t even the picked up person assigned. I filed a police report, I contacted GameStop store and corporate multiple times and no one I mean NO ONE ever got back to me. Detective tried to call the District manager many times and all played stupid. I’m sure the store manager then is the one who stoked bc she told me she’s the one that gave it to the person. I would advise staying away from this store around the holidays or any other time.
Positive experience: Nice, well informed people that really try to help.
Negative experience: Avoid this gamestop at all cost. There was an old lady working the cashier. When I was ready to check out she left and went to walk around the store. I waited for like a minute just wanting to pay then when I decided to leave , she sarcastically thanked me for coming into the store. With that attitude it's no wonder she is in her late 40's working at a job intended for high schoolers
Negative experience: Walked in and there’s people in one corner and people in the other corner of the store already and nobody pays them no mind but the older lady working there was behind the counter and as soon as I come in she immediately begins to follow me around the WHOLE store literally wherever I went as if I’m going to steal something I’m not a thug and I don’t dress like one either I’m a grown man and don’t need to steal from a GameStop I was just looking for an action figure for my son never felt so insulted in my life.
Negative experience: The employee there, who might've been a manager, Katheryn, was incredibly rude. This is the gamestop I live closest to, so it's a shame that I will not be able to support this location any longer, knowing that this person is still working here. I highly recommend any other gamestop, like the one on FM 544 or the one on Parker Road, as these locations have employees that have manners and will likely treat you much better than this miserable lady will. Don't preach to ex employees about "breaking company policy" Katheryn! It's stupid! And you made that accusation on an assumption that I resold items that I purchased , which I've never done! Keep fighting the good fight for your corporate overlords with your terrible attitude towards customers! I'm sure that will earn you a promotion/raise! I'm dumbfounded as to how someone in a sales role can go out of their way to offend customers and think that they've set a good example for their employees. Gamestop should reasses your role there, you've proved it's not for you.
Negative experience: Trolls game had a sticker price for $29.99 worker takes it off and says that it’s no longer that price it’s back to $54.99 my husband and I just stood there like wow, should have honored that price or taken all the stickers off.
Positive experience: The employees are friendly and always help me, I just feel this location has a small selection of games if you’re a hardcore gamer.
Negative experience: I bought a figure and the box was slightly open I have to come in and waste my time to see if I can get refund it’s weird it’s not my fault they sold me a defective item.
Fantastic experience: After multiple trips to this store and multiple phone calls with customer service involving a warranty issue with a PlayStation I bought I stopped by 1 more time yesterday to try again. When I came in Kathryn was very helpful and friendly throughout a fairly complicated problem caused by an issue with an error at the time of the original purchase. She was able to find a fix to my problem within a few minutes and got me back up and running. Despite the difficulties prior to this, super grateful for her help and patience with my issue!
Negative experience: The worst GameStop to come to in Garland
Positive experience: The guy working st the time was awesome and super helpful. He made sure we got what we needed before we left. He was very knowledgeable about the games we were purchasing and let us know he recommended them as well because he enjoyed them
Negative experience: Tried to sell the same Xbox to this location 3 different times. First time I needed to update first. Fine. Second time, we got through all the console checks… and my license had just expired. So they wouldn’t take it. So I get my license renewed and try again. Third time, they again told me I needed to update… when I had just updated it that morning before I went. I went home to apply this “update.” There’s no update available to install. Complete waste of time.
Fantastic experience: Great little GameStop with good selection, helpful staff, and they always do their best to help how they can.

Negative experience: Had an issue with a game we purchased at another location, simple mistake they put the wrong disc in the case. We called the original store as we were driving away (10 minutes after the purchase to give them the heads up on what had happened and that we planned to return to the store then to get the correct disc. The employee let us know she was sorry for the mistake but informed us their inventory was incorrect and they did not have the correct disc but confirmed after some digging that the Fire Wheel location had a single copy in stock. We immediately headed there, explained the situation only to be told they could not help us with a mistake that was made at another store. There were three people working, a manager and two employees and the manager informed us that they would gladly sell us the correct disc and the we would need to return to the original store and have them handle the issue. Not exactly the customer service we expected. Lots of running around for something that could have been handled by the manager at the Fire Wheel location.

Fantastic experience: We staff was super helpful and even though their AC was out, they were still really nice. I would have been super grumpy, so hopefully the AC gets fixed soon. It's too dangerous right now to not have it.

Fantastic experience: I like coming here it's not too far but I like the service here even though not all the times you'll find good friendly workers but if your not asking questions just buying than that's OK, there's a worker that is very kind and a friendly girl and loves helping as much as she could that's too bad that I don't recall her name, I'm going to look for the recipe to see if still have it so I can share her name because there's another skinny girl who doesn't really likes to bother helping. So thanks to all of those kind employees that really makes a big difference.

Negative experience: It's a shame that i will never buy anything at gamestop again. I bought call of duty black ops 4 as a gift, then tried to return it for a different game while still brand new in the package, but the lady in front said they cant give me the money or store credit back because i didn't have the receipt. The game was still packaged!! Not even used, i just wanted to switch it for a different one! Well, i ended up just getting trade in value which dropped the price tremendously. I am never going to buy things at gamestop because of this return policy. No other store does this.

Negative experience: Okay so I bought two Roblox card's and one of them I put 51 dollars on it and the other one I put 10 dollars and when I got home I typed the pin and didn't work so I asked for a refund and she said we don't do that so I'm like the person I called the other day said if I have the receipt I can get my money back so now I have my money back I don't think I'll be going back soon :( you need better service

Fantastic experience: I love gamestop. Period. Just go on weekdays if you're in Firewheel. I'm not the only one that loves this store. And check out the location at 1st and Miller in Garland...the big Guy That's the manager is a solid dude...and I'm not taking about his weight. ...really he's a honest Good guy.

Fantastic experience: We came in on Easter with less than 30 minutes until close with a console and around 16 games. They were able to work up a trade offer and gave is more than we expected. My son walked out with 3 new games and paid for a preorder using the credit. The offer and prices were very fair.

Negative experience: I wouldn't give them any stars simply because they need print on the receipt that we don't accept return of any new games. I went to return a newly bought game because someone else bought me the same game as a gift and they said they can take that game and give me 16 dollars for a game I spent over 60 dollars, that's just ridiculous. Walmart have better policies than this on new games.
