Positive experience: Great customer service

Fantastic experience: Went to get a PlayStation 4 for my son and an extra controller the younger guy behind the counter was a great help and knew a lot about everything. The prices of game stuff has gotten to be way too expensive especially for used game systems.

Negative experience: I don't understand how a business can be run without anybody ever Answer it.the phone And or No.kind of customer service when you go in to store in person rude unprofessional and honestly whoever owns the store should 100% close the doors ASAP FIND EPL/MANG. and strongly suggest classes for customer service ect I'd be ashamed of what's going on in there or lack of lol hopefully you can get it together cause if not there no way a profit of any sort will be made from the most sorriest excuse for a store I have ever seen just horrible

Fantastic experience: I grew up going to this GameStop, and when I stopped in today it's still a staple of the neighborhood. Made a fair trade off some old games. I will warn consumers of this (this is not GameStop's fault, or at least not this location) - when you get cash from your trade, you typically get it on a prepaid card. Every single transaction at an ATM is subject to a fee. Even just checking the balance? Fee. Cashing it out at the nearby PNC ATM? Fee in addition to the surcharge PNC charges, even if it determines you have insufficient funds. I don't think this is GameStop's fault, more just greedy banks, but I figured I'd give a warning to anyone coming through. Just to be clear, this GameStop is excellent in spite of that.

Negative experience: Set for 30 minutes outside of a building that was supposed to be open no one would answer the phone all the lights were on and they wouldn't unlock the doors they lost out on a $150 sell

Negative experience: I called for 2 days just for a simple question nobody answers the phone... Call other GameStops in my area nobody answers the phone very poor customer service..

Negative experience: 1. They don't pickup their phone AT ALL. Tried 5 times during the day and got voicemall everytime. 2. As soon as me and my gf walked in the short black associate told us he was taking in the 2 customers he already had in the store and was going for his "45 minute" break. Also note store is hardly busy so to not pickup the phone is just bad customer service overall.

Negative experience: I bought a used system on Aug 2nd only to find it was messed up. Instead of a return they would only take as a trade in and took money off my total for the refurbishment fee. I've been going to GameStop for years with no issues. That visit felt like a scam.

Negative experience: About the same as every other gamestop. The short black associate was very helpful and Knowledgeable about games. He'd be the only reason I come back to this one

Fantastic experience: Small store, but the patience of the fellow working the cash register was on par with that of a monk. There was a man walking around the store soliciting customers for money while he was trying to overcome a language barrier of another customer. The guy working did an exemplary job defending the other customers from the soliciting individual. He also went above and beyond trying to communicate with the other customer. Then, he kept it together as the first guy came back asking him for money and then the other customers. The employee informed the man again that he is welcome to shop without soliciting other customers or he needed to leave. By that time, I had finished my transaction while hiding my money from the snake oil salesman who wanted to know exactly how much I spent. I told him I have nothing for him and left. I hope the employee faired well from this interaction with the dicey individual. Ill make more trips to this store if people this keep patient work ingthere.

Negative experience: IF I COULD I WOULD GIVE THIS STORE A ZERO DUE TO THEIR POLICY AND THEM STATING THEY NEEDED A RECEIPT TO RETURN MY SONS WARRANTIED PURCHASE … Bogus store and management… I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone they don’t care about the KIDS FEELINGS AND MAKING /Keeping them happy. I ended up calling the N keystone location and they ended up doing it for me for my son without receipt due to him looking up my sons account and verifying the purchase in December 2021 and the warranty was still good .

Negative experience: Went in to make a trade in and was promptly shut down. A little research and a call and I found out they do take my console as a trade in. This location is unfortunately not being honest. They just didn't want to do anything tonight. Sorry to disturb your chill night working at the GameStop on a Saturday evening. I do not recommend this location.

Negative experience: Preordered my game. Asked the person to apply my monthly credit. It didn't get applied, so I lost out on that. At the time of pre-ordering, I stressed to them that I wanted the game on disc. They promised it had a disc. I pick up my game today (collector's edition) and get told it's the digital only version. No apologies, just told. I will be trying a different location, next time.

Negative experience: Closed 5 hours early on a Thursday.

Positive experience: Usually good, but the entire team apparently went “out to lunch” the day of a big launch (PL:A) in the middle of the afternoon and weren’t back by the time posted. Super annoying having to sit and waste gas

Negative experience: The one GameStop in Indianapolis I refuse to go to. Their staff is shady and rude. Absolute trash! This review is only for the GameStop in the Linwood Plaza any other GameStop I've always had a pleasant experience staff is friendly and helpful but not this one.

Negative experience: I went in this store to purchase a PS4 they didn't have any in-store for me to purchase, so the guy ordered one from the online store. I wanted it to be delivered at this particular game stop store. He said it would have to be delivered to my house. Which is not true. He also told me that if I had any problem that I would have to deal with game stop online. Also not true. Terrible customer service

Negative experience: Come on guys, just because I don't spend hours upon hours in my Grandmothers basement playing endless hours of gaming mods and online debauchery. Doesn't mean the cash/cards in my wallet don't spend the same. If I could count on one hand how many times I've been in this store, it would be too many at that. I like things simple. I like things fair. And I understand it's a gaming pawn shop, with a couple extra hard to find items, that sometimes you need quicker than Amazon Prime can get it to you in... unfortunately you pay the EXTRA for that "inconvience". So ya this place is GREAT if you are the modern day 13yearold online gamer that wants to trade off some of the outdated overplayed games mom and dad bought you last month, for something new and next level this week. The place is GREAT. It's even better if you wanna take your kids Christmas presents from Grandma and aunt Sally and get pennies on the dollar cash to pay the light bill (or bottle of shampipple) to get you through the night. But don't expect a deal nor genuine friendly service. It just isn't that kind of retail store... they want the BEST deal they can outta your used items, just to Mark them up to retail and then look at you like you are disturbing them from their ever so much more import "Mission" ... If gaming is your passion (get a life in the real world) then these guys will probably be your BESTIE but to the rest of us this place is prolly this centuries version of what comic shops once were. Weird, eclectic and a bit pompous.
