Fantastic experience: Went into the store today, not expecting to find Earthbound in the glass case! Stockton and Nate were super helpful! They were willing to open the SNES cart and allow me to check to make sure it was an authentic cart of Earthbound. Any game store that’s worth its weight will allow you to make sure the video games you’re buying are authentic. Great staff and store.

Negative experience: Zero stars. Should even be able to put 1 Thought it was gonna be easy but turned into a whole 2 days. Took my series x in with two controllers. One never been used. Not only did it take 2 full days for them to look at it but when I arrived to pick it up , the person in store had no idea what I was talking about. Then having to call someone to ask what was going on. (All for a simple quote) The quote ended up being 200 cash. 250 store credit. TERRIBLE. Then talking my Xbox thinking ok at least I got my Xbox. Wrong. My ORIGINAL hdmi cable was missing from my box. I brought all the cords except my AC which I forgot and I told them. Going in to find it, they had no idea and said I didn’t have it. Good thing there was paperwork( only good thing about this) because the paper clearly said no AC. Nothing about hdmi. Ended up he couldn’t find it. Said they “probably gave it to someone else” wow. Surprised I even got my Xbox back. One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had

Fantastic experience: My boys and I really like this shop. We swing in every few weeks or so to look at things. Good prices, trade credit is usually better than expected and much quicker than competitors. My boy has bought and traded many items. Colum seems to be working everytime we are in; always friendly, personable and accommodating. Not pushy at all and allows my boys to browse as long as they like. The 5 for $8 DVD deal is great, we usually snatch up a few every visit.

Positive experience: Decent game store. Tons of games and a great selection of accessories. Most prices seemed alright but some items were double PriceCharting value. I have no problem with paying more in a brick and mortar store but double the going rate is a little much. I found it to be very annoying how they display things though. Specifically handheld systems, and their more expensive games. The systems are 8 feet up in the air, in bags, stacked on top of each other. Makes it really hard to see what is in stock when just browsing. The more expensive games were behind the counter on a rack, stacked on top of each other. I get wanting to keep them out of reach but at least have some cases or something to make it easier to browse. Please get more glass cases :(

Negative experience: You pay a premium price at a store because the items should all work and if not you can return them. That is not the case for Game World. They do not have the capability to test everything they purchase used. But sell the trash anyways. They do not offer a refund when they sell trash, just store credit. Forcing you to take the risk of buying more problems. I purchased a gameboy and gameboy color charger. They do not work. I tested on two gameboys and two gameboy colors to make sure. When I returned the items they admitted they can not test everything they purchase. In my opinion if a customer returns an item simply because they changed their mind. Then store credit is fine. But when the customer shows the store they are selling trash. Then a refund should be the policy.

Positive experience: Overall great store. I have been here many times and bought a ton of movies and some games. The staff members are always courteous, the selection is good, and the price is right. I have to take a star off because they use permanent price tags, not removable ones like at Half Price Books and Disc Replay, even Goodwill tags are easier to remove. These require goo-b-gone and you can't use that on some cases. I have passed on going there because I don't feel like messing with the tags after but when I do end up going the experience has been great while still at the store.

Fantastic experience: As someone who opened the original Game World on 38th Street with Jin Park all the way back in 1996 - im hoping this is a former customer or colleague - we were considering a 30 year renunion and I was shocked to see the old logo and layout back in Indy. Whomever is up to this - I wish you luck and prosperity. It's like I've seen a ghost! Proud to see the name carried on in such a great fashion.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been into the GameWorld Indy location a ton of times and I’ve never had a great experience…until today. The problem I had was the previous managers being really rude and uptight. They didn’t seem to have any patience for people interested in their video game selection. Today when I went, I was immediately greeted by a new manager there named Stockton and he does amazing! He immediately greeted us with respect and offered to help us find games that we were looking for. He helped me get a great price on a video game I really wanted and scored a deal for the business. Stockton does great and I look forward to coming back because of the service he offered today. Great work Stockton!

Positive experience: Gave me a fair deal on some PS4/PS5 games I had alongside some DVDs too. I didn't buy anything since their selection wasn't as diverse for me, but the guys were nice and gave me some cash for my games and DVDs. I liked my experience. It was pretty good

Everything is neatly displayed and organized by show/genre, which makes browsing super easy. On my last visit, I was thrilled to find Pikachu, Raichu, and Alolan Raichu—all lined up together and all ones I’d been searching for to complete my collection! Even better, they had a buy two, get one free deal on Funko Pops, so I walked out with an awesome bargain. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and ready to help. Plus, they even hand out a freezer treat when you make a purchase, which is such a fun touch! Overall, every visit here is a great experience. Gameworld has definitely become a must-stop spot whenever I’m in the area.

Negative experience: Worst video game store in the area. I was at the Bloomington location over an hour ago. Didn’t buy a game there because the rep said the south Indy location had the “complete edition” for the game I was looking at. So I didn’t buy the disc in Bloomington and came to to Indy. The 2 people working here were not helpful. The game was in the back but not able to be sold for 6 more days. I told them I just came from another location because they told me it was in stock. I don’t fault the guy at the Bloomington store at all. If the game shows in the system then how is he supposed to know it can’t be sold for a week? I went to disc replay and got what I was looking for. Take your business to GameStop or disc relay. Those places are actually trying to sell their games. If you want to know what they hold the games for a week before selling them call and ask. It’s crazy because a few people experienced what I did who were standing in line with me and told to come back in several days when the item could leave the back room. I will not be back here…
