Fantastic experience: Amazing value

Positive experience: Pretty good selection of old games, consoles and TCG cards. Singles for Pokémon, Yugioh, MTG were plentiful. No prices for ETBS or blisters for Pokémon - upon asking, it seems like they use TCGplayer and eBay for comps and then spit out an upcharge for it. Seemed like a lot of the employee's time was spent answered the phone, which from what I understand, routes calls from all three of their locations to the store on Morrison. Overall experience was okay.

Fantastic experience: Awesome experience and a super clean store! They have a wide range of Pokémon cards, video games and even some other old stuff.

Negative experience: This is for this location only. I have not been to the other location yet. This was my first time visiting and it was highly recommended. Very nice store, but it has some major problems. Number one half of the games are not priced. I asked the employee for a price on a game and he takes 5 minutes of awkward silence looking up the price of this game. Then finally tells me and he must have looked up the highest comp on a website. I then ask for another game. Behold it isn’t priced as well. So back to waiting for 5 minutes to check another price and he did the same thing AT LEAST HAVE PRICES MARKED OR HAVE SOME SORT OF IDEA AHEAD OF TIME. There are so many games stores in Columbus Ohio. I wouldn’t recommend going to this one specifically!

Fantastic experience: Very nice, clean & organized game store. They have games for all consoles plus Pokémon cards etc etc. Most things are reasonably priced. They gave me a good trade offer.

Fantastic experience: Has quite a few rarer games for consoles. Was able to purchase a 2DS XL (clamshell model) for a reasonable price which helped me kickstart my 3DS collection. Found quite a few games I was looking for here. They were polite and spoke about classic games with a passion that shown they have been around for a while.

Negative experience: Do not take vintage PC big box games here. They paid about $1 per each for a lot of vintage games including floppys and floppy diskettes. Total rip off which we only accepted because we are in a tight spot with family. Horrible to be treated kindly to face then get low balled to that degree. Same amount was over a thousand at pay more, which they dismissed as 'just a chain store'. Just go there, at least they tell you up front they are cutting you in half to take the profit. Edit to reply to response: They got a great deal by taking massive advantage of ppl who are in a bad spot w family. It is easy for them to say they are the ones who overpaid bc they know we can't come back due to family. They will make profit hand over fist on things like doom II and epix games big box cib. We told them we have our hands full w out of state family. They could have just said no if it was really a bad deal in their minds. This response shows they are liars as well as cheats! Avoid avoid avoid!

Fantastic experience: I stopped in recently and picked up a few games. In and out quickly. Great service and a very clean and well displayed collections. I’d highly recommend stopping in and checking them out. I have driven by this building for years and never knew this place existed. I accidentally stumbled across it in a Google search. I’m sure they are probably limited to what they can display but happy I found it.

Fantastic experience: I am in this store three times a week at least and the first time that I was there the staff made me feel super welcomed and everytime after that they have done the same. They treat their custormers with great levels of respect and outdo every other pokemon card shop in the Columbous area. They have great prices and would highly recomend giving the place a try.

He is very knowledgeable and most definitely is an asset to this place! They also had a lot of games, pokemon cards and systems! This is the game I got and it was an incredible condition and included the maps! Highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience: Great guys here. I had a Nintendo game that didn't work , brought it back ,(w/proof of purchase i.e receipt , they apologized, we exchanged it and I left. What more can you ask for. Also They showed me the game worked before I left.

Negative experience: Shady business tactics. None of the snes games in the front case are priced. When I asked about a game he opened up pricecharting and decided on a price on the spot. No retail operation should work like that. In many places pricing like this is illegal. (I can't find a definitive answer for ohio on posting prices) The price he gave seemed high to me. Later I looked the game up i realized he marked up from pricecharting by 50%! There were several other games I was interested in but as soon as I saw his phone come out I was done. Some games had pricetags but I wouldn't be surprised if they refused to honor that price after a quick check on the going rate + 50% Edit: I was quoted $30 for a game that is $21.31 on pricecharting. That's roughly a 50% increase. As for requiring price tag "The unit pricing law requires retailers to disclose an item's unit price by either marking the item or by placing it on the shelf beneath the item. The “unit price” is the retail price expressed in terms of price per unit of weight, measure, or count" I'm not positive that law applies in this state or to a small independent store. Even if it's legal it's not ethical.

Fantastic experience: Forever games outside looks like an office district it's not too distinct. Just go in and take a look as they have practically any old gaming system and games you would want. I liked that the gaming consoles were in cases and labeled alphabetically. Each console had its own display for consoles and games. We have purchased several PS3 games, Nintendo 3DS and DS cartridges that are in pristine and no visible scratches condition. Their prices on their games are a little high but you are paying for the pristine condition you don't typically get from a store like Game Stop.

Negative experience: I went to sell my console there one time with my friend they offered me $20 for a Xbox one s . I like the store the retro feel but I don't recommend selling your console there Xbox gave me $130 for it other than that the store is okay

Fantastic experience: - this is probably one of the better game stores in the area, it's kind of a weird location but has plenty of parking. - staff are all really friendly and helpful. - prices range from what you are looking for, but most of them are pretty reasonable. - place is clean and organized. - has lots of games and Pokemon items. - overall a new favorite game store in the area for me.

Negative experience: Game prices not posted on items in the class case and clerk has to confirm each item with someone over text...

Fantastic experience: This place is great, went into get some old ps1 games resurfaced and not only did they resurface them but they even replaced the inside of the jewel case to keep the games from becoming loose in the case. They went above and beyond in my book, they care about you and your games. The customer service is outstanding.

Negative experience: Went here a few months ago and was very turned off when the seller has to scan everything to then tell you a price higher than what you can get it online for. If you want something right now, this is the place I guess.

Fantastic experience: I have shopped at Forever Games since 2014 and I have never been disappointed! Their stock ranges from new systems like the Xbox Series X (sometimes) to Nintendo 64 games and everything in between. Outside of video games they have the most complete and open selection of Pokémon cards I have every seen in one store, singles, boosters, ETBs, and more! Go here if you're looking for something nostalgic or something new!

Positive experience: Place is truly a hidden gem for retro video games. Great selection but my biggest pet peeve is not marking price on games. I understand the gaming market price is fluctuating but it's super annoying having to ask the price on every single game. May have bought more games but just makes the whole shopping experience longer than it needs to be.

Fantastic experience: If you are into retro gaming this is the place to go. The outside of the building itself is non-descript (you better put the address into Google Maps or you might miss it), but inside is a treasure trove of games from about every game console you grew up with (from Intellivision/Atari up through the PS4/XBOX ONE). My family and I spent a good hour in the store going through the many different game titles available and came away with some good finds for the NES and SNES systems that I managed to find in my parents house (they also sell the vintage systems if you don't have them). The store clerk was very knowledgeable and helped guide us in our search. They also have some collectibles here such as Pokemon Cards. If you are a gamer, or have one in your life, I highly recommend coming here.

Fantastic experience: AMAZING hole in the wall retro gamestore. Was in town for work and googled retro game stores in the Columbus area and chose this one because of the ratings and was not dissapointed. Prices more or less matched pricecharting.com prices and some were even less which was nice. Due to covid a lot of stuff had been bought out but still had an awesome selection of master system, genesis, ps1, and snes games that I’m currently looking for. If they don’t have it in store they might have it on their eBay store so don’t hesitate to ask. If your in the Columbus area definitely stop by here!
